Sakurado Japanese Patisserie Kensington

Great little Asian cake shop! They do both eat in and take away. I came here with a friend on a Saturday and had a lovely time! We were friendly, great, and seated inside. There is a while variety of cakes and sweets. The drinks menu is good as well. They offer delicious homemade strawberry tea, for which they were kind enough to share the recipe! The crepe matcha cake was so delicious, and I really enjoyed the jiggly cheesecake as well. The atmosphere is nice and the service was amazing! I would definitely come back!

I highly recommend Sakurado Patisserie for any occasion treat! Their cakes are always freshly made and beautifully presented to the highest quality! We, as a family of four have tried a variety of their offerings, from signature Mille Crepe cakes to Jiggly cheesecake as well as other Japanese treats, and each treat is better than the last! On couple of occasions we have dined in and also we have ordered for take-out, so either options are available depending on your preference. What really sets this Patisserie apart, thought, is their commitment to the quality and their effort to offer customised celebration cakes. The attention to the requested details is amazing and from start to finish, ordering our custom cake from Sakurado is always a delightful experience! Not only does it loosen stunning but also tastes heavenly!

I can see why people are drawn to trying mille crepe cakes especially at Sakurado. The time and effort needed to make this does set this dish apart from other desserts such as cakes and cheesecakes. Unfortunately trying this type of cake for the first time, I wasn't blown away. The flavour was pretty average. We ordered tiramisu, red velvet, chocolate with coffees at the cafe and ordered salted caramel, which was a takeaway. All of them were just fine. Red velvet was the least good. Chocolate was the best of the lot. Nonetheless I won't be trying these items nor Sakurado again. This dish isn't for me. Additionally the coffees were average. My flat white was too milky and was just drinking it with company to be polite. So for all these reasons, I would rate Sakurado as an average place.

Pretty overpriced and subpar Croissant 🥐. £7.5 per piece. I ordered 2 of them one with chocolate and another with pistachio. Unfortunately it was very chewy and over baked. I went there after a friend referred me to try it out. I've had much better croissant at OleSteen and even MnS. May be i was unfortunate. And it might have been kept for long. They had many other interesting pastries on display, but after this, I won't recommend it to anyone personally.

Came here in a big group for dessert. They attended to us and moved tables around just so we sat together. I had the Chocolate Matcha Cheesecake, rich and dense but went lovely with green tea.

First time coming here! Have been seeing this shop whilst cycling for a while. It definitely gives you the taste of Japanese Cakes! Will be coming back again!

The design along of the shop is well presented and beautiful. I was drawn in straight away. I was served well and well informed of ingredients and the products I wanted. Definitely telling a friend.

Absolutely gorgeous shop with a great selection! If you're looking for some cakes to gift this is definitely the place to go, as every item was incredibly cute They also offer takeout as well, so a good option to have by the park

A quirky little cafe with Japanese-inspired desserts. Cakes are pretty good. Service and operation are so so. It's tiny - good luck finding seats. The menu is a bit confusing - there is a dozen mille crêpes to choose from and a few cheesecakes that look very similar to each other. As for drinks, they don't have drink menu anywhere obvious. You have to ask what they have. Matcha mill crepe was good. Black sesame one was a bit dense.

I saw this while walking by and had to stop by as I enjoy eating Crepe Cakes. A cute Japanese pastry shop with a variety of desserts and drinks. They have larger dining tables in the back, where you can order and then sit. We ordered the green tea crepe cake and the green tea mochi ice cream. Both were fantastic. Both were moist, not overly sweet, chill, and just great presentation. Service was nice, kind, and fast!

Pretty good pastry that i got from here honestly. It really rare that i gave better review than the average review. But sakurado deserves it maybe its just a little bit expensive but i think it was delicious. Cheers!

This review is for the matcha bubble tea only. Super cute cafe with a sushi counter at the front. In the back you will find a handful of tables and elegant decor. They are known for their pastries but I went for the boba tea. It was very plain and didn't taste high in quality. Not as cold and no ice added. No option to customize. I would pass on ordering this but try their specialty instead.

Nice quaint Japanese pastry shop. We had some tea and their matcha cale and strawberry angel cake while we satt outside to enjoy the afternoon. It was a delightful visit.

Best crepe cakes I've ever had In my life. I did both mango and matcha, mango was super super light. Matcha was a bit denser because of the filling was thicker but still creamy. Awesome matcha flavor.

Popped in on a visit to London because it reminded me of 85*, a bakery we have back home. I got a coconut bun and a pork bun. Prices were reasonable. The pastries were good enough, but not very soft and a bit greasy. Decent when you're hungry but good pastries aren't hard to find in Europe and I probably wouldn't come back.

My first time visiting England. We were walking towards Hyde Park and we stumble onto this place. We have been to Japan and love Japanese food so we felt comfortable going in. The flowers covering the building entrance as well as the window were very inviting. The staff was very welcoming and sat us right away. It is a tiny area but beautiful from the inside. The first thing we saw were desserts they had. Croissants, Milli Crepe cakes, matchy tiramisu and sweet potato rolls. On our first day (we went 7 more times in our 2 week stay) I had the chicken katsu curry and my girlfriend had the karage Don and a Mango boba tea. It was magnificent. There was so much flavor in curry bits of potato and onion with the brown rice was just packed with flavor. The karage don was light but crunchy and the chicken breast was still moist. It was perfect. They treated us heavenly for the 2 weeks we were there and truly appreciate it. As someone who has works in the same industry it is a pleasure to have met such a delightful crew who made sure everything was great with our order. Once we visit London again we will be going back if our 8 visits did not say that for us. Thank you Mei for the service!
