Sakurado Japanese Patisserie Kensington

The dessert shop is very cute and nicely decorated, and the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit pleasant. Unfortunately, the cake did not meet my expectations. The portion size was quite small for the price, and personally I didn’t enjoy the taste, as it was hardly sweet at all. On a positive note, the coffee was really good and definitely the highlight of the visit. Overall, it’s a charming place for coffee, but the desserts could be improved.

It was ok, but I expected more. The mochi was great, but everything else sort of mid (especially considering the price). For a £7.5 matcha I’d expect it to be served in a proper glass and not cheap plastic cup when dining in. Also it was very milky, so you only see the color of matcha, but don’t feel much flavor. The yuzu dessert I took had a lot of cream, but barely anything beyond that. I think it was way too small and unimpressive for the price of almost £10. I was recommended Sakurado because of mochis and mochis were indeed very good.

Oh wow, Sakurado is amazing! 😍 Their cakes are so pretty and taste incredible — the mille crepe cakes are next-level, especially the matcha and fruity ones. Super light, not too sweet, and perfect for a little treat. Yeah, it’s a bit pricey, but honestly, totally worth it! 🎂

Delicious and pretty. Had the milk cake. And tried the strawberry cake and Oreo mochi. My favourite was the strawberry cake because the other two were too sweet for me.

Was lovely, unusual foods. Well presented and lots of Matcha options. Greeted with a big smile and welcome. The jiggly cheesecake was really light and fluffy and a lovely texture. We also had the pistachio mochi which was sooooo soft and delicately flavoured. My cuppacino was delightfully hot (the way I like it) and was very nice coffee. My daughter’s Oreo bubble tea was expensive given it is mostly ice (recommendation - ask them not to put more than one ice cube. That way you get more drink). But it was very tasty.

I stumbled across this shop whilst walking to the park and oh man do I count myself lucky! I had such a fun time exploring what they had to offer, the longer I looked the harder the decision became. The cakes are crafted and displayed beautifully. I eventually decided to have the pistachio mille crepe which was expectedly delicious! I wasn’t too keen on trying mochi but I caved once I saw they had a strawberry and cream one, if it’s something you’ve not had the opportunity to try before then I highly recommend you do. There are so many different flavours to choose from so I’m positive that your cravings will be soothed! It’s also located in a great part of Kensington, just a 2 minute walk to the park. I sat outside, but if you’re feeling like a take-out sweet treat and a scenic stroll, you’ve found the spot! おいしいかたです　ごちそうさまでしだ

The best matcha crepe cake I’ve ever had! 🍵✨ The flavor is incredibly rich and authentic without being too sweet.

This set of items was £27 (£30 with tip). The cakes were yummy, but the bubble tea was mostly ice and the chamomile tea was a bag tea from Twinings. Ultimately, I think it’s pricey for what it is.

A quirky little cafe with Japanese-inspired desserts. Cakes are pretty good. Service and operation are so so. It's tiny - good luck finding seats. The menu is a bit confusing - there is a dozen mille crêpes to choose from and a few cheesecakes that look very similar to each other. As for drinks, they don't have drink menu anywhere obvious. You have to ask what they have. Matcha mill crepe was good. Black sesame one was a bit dense.

I saw this while walking by and had to stop by as I enjoy eating Crepe Cakes. A cute Japanese pastry shop with a variety of desserts and drinks. They have larger dining tables in the back, where you can order and then sit. We ordered the green tea crepe cake and the green tea mochi ice cream. Both were fantastic. Both were moist, not overly sweet, chill, and just great presentation. Service was nice, kind, and fast!

Pretty good pastry that i got from here honestly. It really rare that i gave better review than the average review. But sakurado deserves it maybe its just a little bit expensive but i think it was delicious. Cheers!

This review is for the matcha bubble tea only. Super cute cafe with a sushi counter at the front. In the back you will find a handful of tables and elegant decor. They are known for their pastries but I went for the boba tea. It was very plain and didn't taste high in quality. Not as cold and no ice added. No option to customize. I would pass on ordering this but try their specialty instead.

Nice quaint Japanese pastry shop. We had some tea and their matcha cale and strawberry angel cake while we satt outside to enjoy the afternoon. It was a delightful visit.

Best crepe cakes I've ever had In my life. I did both mango and matcha, mango was super super light. Matcha was a bit denser because of the filling was thicker but still creamy. Awesome matcha flavor.

Popped in on a visit to London because it reminded me of 85*, a bakery we have back home. I got a coconut bun and a pork bun. Prices were reasonable. The pastries were good enough, but not very soft and a bit greasy. Decent when you're hungry but good pastries aren't hard to find in Europe and I probably wouldn't come back.

My first time visiting England. We were walking towards Hyde Park and we stumble onto this place. We have been to Japan and love Japanese food so we felt comfortable going in. The flowers covering the building entrance as well as the window were very inviting. The staff was very welcoming and sat us right away. It is a tiny area but beautiful from the inside. The first thing we saw were desserts they had. Croissants, Milli Crepe cakes, matchy tiramisu and sweet potato rolls. On our first day (we went 7 more times in our 2 week stay) I had the chicken katsu curry and my girlfriend had the karage Don and a Mango boba tea. It was magnificent. There was so much flavor in curry bits of potato and onion with the brown rice was just packed with flavor. The karage don was light but crunchy and the chicken breast was still moist. It was perfect. They treated us heavenly for the 2 weeks we were there and truly appreciate it. As someone who has works in the same industry it is a pleasure to have met such a delightful crew who made sure everything was great with our order. Once we visit London again we will be going back if our 8 visits did not say that for us. Thank you Mei for the service!
