Where do I start , we just loved the island. Sal is one of the islands in Cape Verde. No need for all inclusive , as you’ll miss out on the street entertainments and all the different amazing cuisine. The people here are friendly and welcoming , best place to interact with locals of you love reggae is one love reggae bar in Santa Maria. There main meal cachupa is soo yummy. The Santa Maria beach is beautiful and few minutes walk from the town. It’s a small island easily toured in a day . The island is extremely beautiful and clean. Murals on the walls with deep meaning. Plenty of options on live bands , you don’t want to miss out on. The island is very vibrant in the night . During our stay , the weather was forgiving. The sun was just right , to soak in the whole day . If you love art , this is the place to be . Variety of options to chose from. The best part is we didn’t hear or get bitten by mosquitoes the entire time we were there. We didn’t need the mosquito repellent bracelets we had purchased. I will definitely be back.

There are 10 Islands in Cape vedre and people lived on 9 of them. We went to Sal, Cape Verde which is a wonderful place to stay and relax. The island is small and quite sandy, so be prepared for a lot of sand. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent, as there are quite a few mosquitoes; the good news is they don't carry malaria. While there's a noticeable lack of trees and grass, the clear blue ocean is absolutely beautiful and more than makes up for it. The locals have a fantastic sense of humour and are always smiling. The island's laid-back vibe means there's no stress at all. Street parties on Market Street in Santa Maria take place all week long, adding to the lively atmosphere. in Santa Maria there are a lot of Hustlers but they are safe you can avoid them go to the shop of your choice and get the best bargain. There are four major resorts on the island: Melia Tortuga Beach & Spa, Melia Dunas Beach & Resort and Spa, Melia Llana Beach Resort & Spa (all-inclusive and adults only), and Tui Blue Cabo Verde (adults only). These resorts serve delicious meals, including English breakfasts, and make sure to book all-inclusive to fully enjoy the experience. Apart from these resorts, there are other hotels as well. You can enjoy various activities such as watching baby sharks on a day tour, taking a boat cruise, or experiencing the thrill of riding a quad bike. The airport experience is fast and relaxed, although there are quite a few flies. The overall motto of Cape Verde is "No Stress," which truly resonates throughout the island. All in all, Sal is a great destination for those looking to unwind and enjoy some unique adventures.

When planning our winter vacation we were looking for a warm place with direct flight from Norway. We decided to try the island Sal in Kapp Verde for our first time. This is a great place to travel for a relaxing holiday with good temperatures, sun, beaches and good food. We stayed at the Meliá Llana resort with all inclusive. The breakfast and lunch was good and we had some dinners inside the city Santa Maria.

Beautiful place with beautiful people. Don’t expect that you will explore the island for a week. One day is enough! But the calmnes and hapinnes of this island is so relaxing that you can rest from the noise of the big city. Love it :)

Sal is warm, flat and is perfect for sunbathing, relaxing and good food! If you are looking for nature (you know the green stuff that surrounds us) then choose an other island. I am happy with my 7 days there, but next time I will try Santiago (also Cap Verde) because it’s green, got a beautiful market and is still warm.

Good place to stay there and rest. The island is small and a bit too sandy. There is a lack of trees and grass but the ocean is clear and blue - beautifull. The people have a great humor and are smiling all the time. No stress!

One of the most popular islands of archipelago Cape Verde and also one of the most dry. Desert most everywhere. Perfect kiting and surfing opportunities. Good diving, fishing and nice selection of seafood and fish like tuna and blue marlin, wahoo, serra etc. Connected with many European countries via air.
