"Sal the Kitchen is known for its incredible take on paella, focusing on the crunchy and flavorful bottommost part of the dish called socarrat." - Paul J. Heney

Service was top notch! Food was experience and every bite was magical. We ordered the tiger shrimp, steak tar tar, paella, steak, chicken, tuna and dessert. Enjoy the atmosphere and be sure to ask for bread!

The food was delicious. Everything had great flavor with original, but not two outlandish combinations. What we ordered: - Black tiger shrimp (delicious, would order again. The dish came out a little on the cool side, but otherwise it's perfect.) - Pulpo a la plancha (highly recommend) - Mushroom carpaccio (fine, but next to the others was a little flat) - Fisherman's friend (the fish was perfectly cooked with great seasoning) - Whole red snapper (presented more like a fillet than a traditional fish, but still delicious) - Paella socarrat (a new spin on a traditional dish with it being a pancake of socarrat. The flavors were great, but it was too salty for us) - Olive cake (well balanced, but wish the cake was a little bit more moist) - Red fruit (basically deconstructed, crème brûlée; great if you have a sweet tooth like me) This restaurant is a little more expensive than some other options in the area, but definitely a must try. We greatly enjoyed eating care, would definitely recommend it to others. We were worried about sitting outside because of the bugs, but under the fan, it was perfectly comfortable, and the bugs didn't bother us at all. The ambience was great and relaxed, and the staff was very friendly.

Absolutely delicious meal on my first night on the island. The service was great, lovely outdoor dining and very pleased to have a very unusual vegetarian option to fill me up. The potatoes were insanely tasty! And lovely cocktail too!

Exquisitely prepared food, presentation and taste is superb. Staff very knowledgeable and attentive. They gave us great suggestions from drinks to starters, the main and dessert. Fine dinning- you can taste the quality of ingredients. Excellent restaurant!

Had an incredible 30th birthday dinner here last night. Make sure to ask for the “Cellar Book” if you’re a wine person. I enjoyed a 2009 Barbaresco that was very reasonably priced and the owner was very helpful and informative. They asked if we wanted homemade bread and butter (they charge for this) it was Salt & Vinegar butter which was exceptional and not at all what I expected. We had the foie gras, wahoo crudo, steak “French onion soup” style, Paella. The dessert was the only thing that fell flat for me. The intimate service the owner provided was the best part service wise.

I was truly excited to dine here… I of course made reservations (thinking it was Saturday night and perhaps it'd be busy on the island) but there was no need… we were dropped off here by a cab b/c it was a trek from our hotel… and I was tired and I didn't want to be sweaty for dinner. The reservation was at 6 pm and we walked in and literally, there was no one there. For a moment I was worried they were closed. The servers greeted us and told us to pick where to sit. It's outside so there's no AC… We sat by the gate, and ordered the following: 1) Ricotta dumplings = it was amazing delicious. The portion was just right and I ate most of it. 2) Curry Sprouts = My cousin ate most of this and it was good. 3) Paella Socarrat = This was a unique way of doing paella. It was good but surprised at the presentation. For my drink… I had the Penichillin' - it was good… I didn't want to be tipsy walking back so I nursed it the whole dinner. The main reason why this review is under "average" is b/c of the flies… yup… apparently if you have dinner early at 6ish… it's the time of the flies (that's what our server told us) b/c she too was shocked at the amount of flies that were flocking into our food. My cousin and I ate so fast… b/c we didn't want the flies to come near it. The Citronella candle couldn't stop them but us eating so fast… My cousin ended up getting a tummy ache from eating too fast. The food and service were amazing. The ambiance of the flies… not so much. Thus, please make your reservations post 6 pm.

I tried the vegan dish, which included mushrooms, hummus, couscous, olives and pita bread. The hummus, however, was underwhelming—lacking tahini and probably some garlic. While the overall dish was decent, it missed that extra depth of flavor and tasted more like mashed chickpeas. Unfortunately, the service was also disappointing. The staff took far too long to attend to our table, making the experience less enjoyable.
