Everytime im craving tacos, this place does it for me! Casual quick and easy 4"tacos full of flavors and tender meat. They offer free sauces. The Chipotle on is my favorite. The best part is that it is very affordable!

Ripe Tomato

Google
3 tacos plus 1 side of pico de gallo for 17 dollars including tip, the dessert platter was 13 dollars not including tip. A bit pricey for tacos to be honest and the lengua (beef tongue) tacos weren't ad tender and tasty as I thought they would be. The beef tongue was not marinated in any sauce and cut into small squares. The dessert platter was delicious so I might be back for that but the tacos were just okay for the price not quite worth it.

We visited Saliye with six friends, excited to try their tacos and a variety of other Mexican dishes. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The quality of the meat was far below expectations—it lacked flavor, was overcooked, and had a tough, unappetizing texture. Some of the other dishes we ordered also didn’t meet the standard we were hoping for, with bland seasoning and poor ingredient quality. The service was average, and while the atmosphere was decent, the food itself did not justify the visit. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to others.

Google
Authentic Mexican spot with a nice menu and delectable self-serve sauces. One of the few places that does well in having its fare extend well to both dine-in and to-go! Easy place to stop in and have a bite while visiting some of the shops in the area. Will return to try some of the other items.. enjoyed the burrito but it did feel a touch dry. Interested in returning to try the tacos and quesadillas.

Google
We were so happy to find such a toddler friendly restaurant in Mount Pleasant. The play area was such a hit (what a brilliant idea and to have it raised like that so the kids don’t get in anyone’s way), the staff were all so friendly, and the food was good too! Would definitely go back, I wish more restaurants were family friendly like this!

Google
Pretty authentic Mexican restaurant in Vancouver. Its been about 5 years since I last visited this place, and it was really good back then. However, it feels like the quality has gone down a bit, and the meat was somewhat dry in some of the tacos I ordered. To me, it was disappointing. It didnt taste good enough, and I dont know if I will voluntarily come here again.

Google
I ordered three tacos “shrimp”, Carnitas and cochinita the size of the tacos is expensive for the size you get the services is unfriendly the staff not welcoming and they missing customer service a lot btw the carnitas tacos was bad or past just so I don’t use any bad word but you get the point, overall it was a bad experience in food and service..

Google
Nachos were generously topped with cheese, guacamole, jalapeños, and sour cream. The plate was huge and itself alone could feed 2 people full. Would order again! The yellow one is the Mexixan cornbread, and it was way sweeter than I expected. Overall, authentic Mexican cuisine! (At least in my humble opinion)

Yelp
Affordable and friendly service as usual. I haven't been here long time but surprised they didn't raise the price so much as compared with other Mexican restaurants. I tried super sal y Limon burrito which contains pulled pork, Chicken and chorizo. Very delicious and quite big portion. Highly recommend :)

Yelp
Love stopping here for take out as think the burrito is a perfect lunch...all nicely wrapped. And Sal y Limon still has my vote for the best chicken burrito in Vancouver. Great taste and value at $12.55.

Yelp
Good portion size and reasonable prices. Food was amazing and the guac was so good would go jist for that.

Yelp
My recent dining experience at this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The lack of meat in each taco compared to the past was disappointing given the relatively high prices per taco. To make matters worse, I discovered a metal wire in my food, which raised serious safety concerns. However, the shining star of this experience was the exceptional staff. When I alerted them to the issue, they acted promptly and professionally to rectify it, which was highly commendable. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident throughout the meal. On the positive note, the food arrived swiftly, showcasing the kitchen's efficiency. Quick service is always appreciated, and it enhanced the overall dining experience. Additionally, the salsas provided added a burst of flavor to the dishes. They were both diverse and delicious, complementing the tacos perfectly. In summary, while the lack of meat and the high price point gives this place a low value, and the discovery of a metal wire in my food was concerning, the outstanding service from the staff, prompt food delivery, and delightful salsas helped salvage the experience. I hope the restaurant addresses these shortcomings to truly elevate its dining experience.

Yelp
Sal Y Limon is one of those places I cycle back to every few months. I typically get take out and the food is always delicious. My go to is the Taco Picnic Pack which comes with one protein, tortillas, rice, beans, salsa, and a container of onions and cilantro. I've tried the chicken and the steak. Both are always tender and flavorful. Salsa is made in house and fresh. The rice and beans are addictive. For $32 you can't go wrong! It says it feeds 2-3 people, but I tend to overeat with the food here so I'd say it's perfect for 2 people. It's hard to stop when food is so good. With the many times I've spoken with staff there even for take out, it's always been pleasant. Good vibes and reasonable prices.

Yelp
This place has been popular and has expanded but doesn't mean they serve great food. The food is decent and I do eat here but not a place I'd bring friends to unless we're starving. It's not cheap either. An ahogado (wet) burrito is about 17+tx/tips =$21. I prefer this salsa sauce style because otherwise the burrito ends are too dry since tortilla shells are just the premade stuff you get at any supermarket and not fresh made in house. Their burritos do not normally come with salsa, guacamole or cheese! Guacamole or cheese are extra cost. I did splurge and asked for guacamole but at least it was a good size. My burrito today was missing sour cream-they forgot I guess. The fillings inside the burrito was mostly rice, beans and cabbage. Even though I ordered the Al Pastor style there was barely any meat or pineapple. I think I only tasted one chunk of pineapple. Yes, size wise it's big but it's more quantity than quality.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 For a laid back neighborhood taco spot, this place does a good job! They have a large menu that appeals to both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike which is always great to see. I came on a weeknight and it was half-full but we were able to get a seat right away. Due to it being a no frills type of place, you order at the counter first and pay then take your number to a seat and wait for your food to be brought out. For ambiance, this place is what it's supposed to be - nothing fancy but nice enough with plenty of seating. As for service, I found everyone working at the restaurant nice and the food came out quick so no complaints there. I ordered 3 tacos and found it the perfect amount for a meal and I liked that you can mix n' match your flavours. Overall I'm a fan of this spot and think it's a great option when you're in the neighbourhood and craving some Mexican food!

Yelp
This may be a great place if you're Caucasian, however if you are ethnic in any capacity, you are not the target audience; this place will most surely leave you unsatisfied and wishing you went to Taco Bell instead. The food looks grey, is devoid of flavour, and in fact a disgrace to Mexico. The prices are also way overpriced, I would only go here if I was starving and if everywhere else was closed. Go to chipotle instead!

Danika O.

Yelp
I got a burrito and asked them to remove sour cream and jalapeños due to dietary restrictions, but I wanted to add pickled onions so I didn't have the most bland burrito of my life. They tried to charge me for the onions, which I asked them if they could sub them instead of the other two items that I could not have on the burrito. They refused and said I had to pay for them. I asked if there was anything they could add instead and they said everything would be an extra charge. I've never encountered such a blatant disregard for customer service at any other food service location.

Yelp
Best bang for your buck. You can't say no to $3 tacos. Some of the flavours are hit and miss. Favourites are: Al Pastor and Barbacoa De Cordero. Don't skip out on the homemade coconut horchata!

Yelp

Yelp
Great tacos! I've always heard about this spot and finally decided to try it. I got a variety of tacos and they all hit the spot. Parking was limited. Just picked up the tacos and ate in the car. I will have to go back asap!

Yelp
Sal y Limón's esteemed tacos are that of unspeakable. During my travels in Vancouver, this awe-inspiring establishment lead me to the conclusion that Canada's Mexican food is better than that of any other nation in the world. The staff are the most amiable I have seen and their service is truly impeccable and their atmosphere is subject to international prowess.

Yelp
We thought we would never be back since some recipes had changed and the quality had declined sharply but... we were going to Green Lemongrass and found it closed for renovations so this is where we ended up. The service was usually not something to write home about and that hasn't changed. The tortilla soup was not good at all the last time we were here but it seems to be back to normal again so maybe they just had some staffing issues in the kitchen. My Barbacoa de Cordero was a bit dry, but it was tasty. The Al Pastor burrito was juicy but didn't have much meat content and the flavours weren't developed as they usually are. We'll give it a try again someday but it's probably not going into heavy rotation.

Yelp
Tried the taco feast for 4 recently and it was an easy fun meal for myself and friends that came over last minute. However they spice and cook their meat and beans keeps bringing me back! Everyone loved it! I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the portions seem a bit small for the price (inflation maybe?), hot sauce and limes were missing, and for having to wait in the cold at pick up window 10 more minutes than time given for pick up. Next time I'm feeding 4 adults I'll dress warmer for that take out window and I'll probably order individual burritos... they are always a crowd pleaser and require no personal prep or clean up.

Yelp
Have ordered a number of times now via Uber Eats. I'd order more frequently if it was more reliable/consistent. Granted the delivery part is out of their hands but it's sad we don't have a consistently reliable system. Despite paying extra for delivery, with all the tips, fees etc., am extra $14 food was still lukewarm at best. Again, out of control of the restaurant but doesn't show the food the best. Some foods have been reliably delivered hot and quickly for decades. I get some food doesn't travel well, but burritos shouldn't be that much of a challenge to keep warm for a bit between packaging and insulated/heated delivery bags. I know the industry is struggling on so many fronts so I try to give a lot of leeway. I'd say about fifty per cent of my orders are incorrect in some way or missing one or more things. This is all restaurants, not just Sal y Limón. It's disappointing (and expensive) to get the wrong thing or someone is missing some or all of their food. Another minute with a quality control check might go a long way! The order and receipt are clear so it's just an execution issue that recurs way too often. Sadly I will mostly stick to cooking, restaurants that are super close where I can pick up, or my local Chinese or pizza places that deliver their own food and have it down.

Yelp
Please don't charge me 3 dollars for a little tub of guaca that has gone bad. Never coming back. This place is a rip off and the quality is sub par. Red burrito down the street will be a lot better. Wanted to try something new, and it was not a good surprise.

Yelp
Incredible burritos & authentic Mexican food!! I absolutely love the chorizo burrito, and would highly recommend dining in at the restaurant, as the burritos don't travel super well if taken to go, and the ambiance in the restaurant is also great with beautiful art work & fun music!

Yelp
So my last review wasn't great. But I gave this place another shot! This time I got the al pastor and pollo pibil. The cashier offered toppings this time so I added the pico & guac, no cheese. And it came out tasty! This place is always a hit or miss for me but this time it was a hit. I was full with the 2 tacos and drink I ordered. Was pleased this time! Lol

Yelp
From being a neighbourhood gem to expensive hot garbage. The expansion killed this business, took away its charm, and most of all compromised its quality. The food now is bland , tasteless, careless, and souless. I remember what the lamb used to taste like. My torta today was a hot peice is garbage with undercooked beans, tasteless and sparse meat, and a soggy yet stale bun. At this point, I'm better off going to taco time.

Yelp
*This is my second Yelp review of Sal Y Lemon* Due to Covid 19 and Moving Day, decided to go to Sal Y Lemon for take out dinner with my sister. Took three tries to get through on the phone and ordered the Al Pastor, Lamb, Deep fried fish, and Deep fried Shrimp tacos. Originally, I wanted the Pork belly and Beef tongue tacos but unfortunately, they were out of it - darn. My order number was given and pick up time. Got there a little early with my sister and saw a short line up - one door and line up to place an order and another door and line up to pick up and pay. We only had to wait for 2 to 3 minutes for our orders, that smelled heavenly in the car and made my mouth water . My sister, who is a Nurse, said she was able to get 50% one order as Sal Y Lemon is doing a promotional discount for Healthcare professionals. Thank you Sal Y Lemon for supporting our healthcare workers! Got home to devour my tacos and they were tasty as always. The only downside was that none of their spicy salsas were included, or fresh lime wedges, even though they were requested with the order. Can't wait to go back to Sal Y Lemon again, especially as a business they are efficient in the handling of Covid and support the Healthcare professionals!

Yelp
Possibly my favourite place to get tacos in Vancouver. Huge selection of tacos, burritos, tortas, huaraches, and quesadillas. Everything is so fresh! Tacos are around $3. Love the Tinga Vegetariana, it has mushrooms, corn, zucchini, onions and chipotle on corn tortillas. You can add guacamole for .75 cents extra. SO good. Just talking about it is making me want to go there right now.

Justin B.

Yelp
Amazingly fast service, friendly staff, and great food. I was happy to not be served "Tex mex" fare - Sal y Limón is the real deal.

Yelp
If you want quick , take out Mexican food, check this place out. The menu is customizable to meet your special tastes and dietary needs. Food was tasty and made to order. They offer ' family packs' which may be more economical for a group. Margaritas were like slurpees and didn't seem very strong . Tables were not promptly cleared and wiped down but we were there during a busy time.
google avatar

Stan W.

Yelp
Good food good drinks. Double margaritas are approaching 20$ and come out of a machine, but feel like triple so that's fun.

Yelp
We've been to this spot a couple of times, over a year apart. We have ordered the following; - Pastor taco - Cochinita taco - Chorizo taco - Huarache (shrimp and fried fish) - Chips - Flan - Salsa bar (back when the dining room was open, in the pre-COVID days) - Huarache (lamb?) - Burrito (special mix of meats) Everything was adequately executed, though as people who have eaten more than our share of LA style Mexican in LA and in the Bay Area, it was only okay. To put that assessment into context, we haven't had Mexican food /anywhere/ in Vancouver that wowed us and made us feel like we had to return; for such a great city, it feels like a Mexican food desert (YMMV). The quest continues. They have a small, shared parking lot, but if you can find a space in it, it's free. Otherwise, look for parking on the street, at least some of which should be free.

David B.

Yelp
Food was not good. Got the pork and chicken tacos and they were dry, as well as the tortillas themselves being quite dry. Quite disappointing because they weren't that cheap.

Yelp
I personally wasn't impressed by the food here (I'm probably just too spoiled by the Mexican / taqueria scene in San Francisco), but my friend loved his food here, so rounding up to a 4. The two of us came for dinner on a Friday evening around 6:30 pm and there was only a short line. First you order at the counter and then find a table. Most of the tables were full, but we shared a table with a man and his son until we saw another couple leave and snagged their spot. First thing you'll notice when looking at the menu...the food ain't cheap here. Each taco goes for either $2.80 or $3.15, more if you want cheese or guacamole. Yelp recommended their fish taco, so I went with that and the lengua / beef tongue, both of which were $3.15. I don't like the white sauce they put on fish tacos, so I asked for them to remove it. My friend went with a super vegetariana torta ($9.50 + $2.25 for guacamole). When the tacos came, I was disappointed. The tacos aren't that big, first of all, maybe just 3-4 inches in diameter. The fish in the fish taco was TINY and didn't fill up the whole tortilla. Maybe because it's usually covered with sauce, it's less noticeable, but it was the first thing I observed when I got my food. The fish itself wasn't particularly good either. There was no satisfying crunch as I bit into it. At least the lengua / beef tongue was good. I'd recommend that. My friend really enjoyed his torta though. Maybe that's the thing to get here. Who knows? My favorite part of the whole meal was the frozen margarita. We got a large cup and it was mixed just right! The parking lot for the plaza where the restaurant is located is TINY. Luckily we managed to snag the last spot in the lot; otherwise I'm not sure where to find parking around the area.

Yelp
They get you in with the 3.50 tacos. I had two tacos,a drink, and corn chips for 18.00. Could have been more had I ordered a slushy drink. Just a bit of advice have it for take out and bring corn chips with pop.

Shamsa R.

Yelp
i got fish quesadilla from Vancouver airport location , price $14.49 . it was just fish and cheese with some cabbage on the side. tacos with cheese and fish only ? why are they even open. if you like tacos don't get it from here

Yelp
Seriously good Mexican place in the middle of the city. Gives Tacofino some serious competition. Parking is available on 16th (1h during business hours), as well as the strip mall lot which is way too small. The inside is quite spacious. Looks like they have the majority of the plaza. Plenty of seating. Interior is quite plain, with the exception of some rather funky Day Of The Dead themed artwork on the walls. Staff were very friendly. Food here is quite delicious. A wee bit pricey, but the quality is there. The lamb burrito I had was filled with plenty of rice and other goodies. There are some 10 hot sauces available, ranked by spiciness level. Something for everyone. Definitely have to come back for the tacos at a later date. Those looked super good too. Recommended.

Yelp
I've only have two tacos but I'm quite convinced that this place is a winner. Just look at the high energy at 1pm on a Friday. The place was full and I was lucky to find a table to sit. I observed that Skip the Dishes appeared a couple of times whole I was there. But I do think this is one of those places where you will do it more justice by eating in. My shrimp tacos was really, really delicious. The shrimp, aka prawn, was deep fried and provides a nice crunch. You really don't need cheese to go with that. Good thing I held back. The slow cooked chicken was just magnificent with its succulent taste even when I had cheese with this one. I just had to scoop up all the toppings that fell onto the plate. I know I must return to try their other main items like the burritos. And some wise man told me about the salsa! Yes, got it, and will do!
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
Just ordered the shareable nachos are absolutely terrible it looks like someone made it from stuff you bought at shoppers drug mart as the cheese was processed (cheese slice). What a joke. Movie theatre level.

Yelp
When people ask "Best Tacos in Vancouver?" I can guarantee the first words out of a Vancouverite's mouth would be: "Sal y Limon" They used to be a tiny hole in the wall, but a few years ago they renovated into this big beautiful space with beautiful art, ample seating, and a great vibe. Last night I grabbed 3 tacos: Shrimp, cochinita, and al pastor -- all heavenly and divine! I was actually not sure what I was going to get when I ordered the shrimp one, but was pleasantly surprised with it being deep friend, with yummy slaw and diced tomatoes. The other two were shredded pork (juicy, too), covered in cilantro, onions, and other goodness and they hit the spot. WARNING: Their MILDEST sauce is the "avocado" sauce (their sauces are by the window). I also grabbed the Peanut sauce, Chef sauce and Jalapeno, recollecting on my past experiences, daring to grab the Diablo sauce and crying through most of my meal as my mouth was on fire. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED THEIR DELICIOUS HORCHATA TO DRINK (or maybe a Jarrito will suffice). I have definitely had a burrito and churro in the past which were also awesome. I hear the Huaraches and Tortas (Mexican sandwich) are the bomb, but I've never tried. If you're hungry, go for one of those babies!

Amanda N.

Yelp
A dry chimichanga and guacamole not worth $20. Being from Cali, not authentic Mexican food.
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
Wow! This might have been the best burrito I've ever had! I called in to pick up for lunch and it took 15 minutes. I ordered the Pollo Pibil burrito which was a slow marinated chicken breast. I also added the addition of cheese (extra $2) The burrito was filled to the brim with rice, beans, cabbage, chicken and cheese and it was sure dense. I was only able to finish half so if you have a big appetite this would be perfect for you. I was blown away with how good this was. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Yelp
Sal y Limón is my go to place for taco. It's usually perfect, but yesterday it was just alright. I ordered my yummy tacos. I got shrimp, beef tongue, and chorizo. They offered me guac/sour cream and I said no. But they didn't offer any sauce or lime. I don't know how their sauce system works. Maybe I should have asked, but it was in the back of my mind because all I could think about was demolishing the tacos. Their wall of a billion sauces was a luxury that I have taken for granted. How can I eat my taco without dipping it in a new sauce every bite? I opened my takeout box and proceeded. Everything was dry. Except for the shrimp one. That one had the deep fried goodness and some form of sauce. I suppose this experience was a lesson of assertion.

Yelp
After about a dozen visits, Sal Y Limon remains my favourite place for a burrito. They've got some interesting artwork on the walls, and the staff are a pleasure to deal with. If you go during peak hours though, prepare for a (brief) wait. Heck, even at 3pm on a Saturday or Sunday it's slammed. Luckily, they are really efficient, and even with a lineup out the door, it only takes a few minutes to get to the front, and a few more for the order to come up. One of my favourite things to do on a weekend is get my burrito to go and sit on one of the benches outside in the sun with a good book. There are quite a few tables and benches of varying size inside but I just find it a bit too crowded and noisy for my liking. I almost always get the same fish burrito, which is delicious, super filling and a good value at about $11. For a smaller appetite, a couple tacos(about $2.70 each) should do the trick. Their horchata drinks are fantastic as well, not to mention authentic. Along one of the walls you will find about a dozen homemade hot sauces with little containers to sample them. If you do, be very careful as some of these are super hot! I highly recommend the avocado and peanut sauces.

Yelp
I discovered Sal y Limon in 2014 when I used to work around the Kingsway neighborhood. My co-workers absolutely raved about this place, so I joined in and ordered the chorizo burrito. Fast forward to 2019, it is still my absolute favourite Mexican joint to date and the chorizo burrito is a must order when I'm there. Sadly, I've had to move, so I haven't been here for about a year. The menus have expanded and there are a lot more features. One thing that stuck out was that cheese is now an extra up-sell when it was included before, which sucks a bit, but for the consistent quality and great service, I'm glad they're still popular and churning out delicious meals. Besides their main entrees, additional favourite things about the place: the selection of unique hot sauce wall, guacamole (soo fresh!) and coconut horchata (first time I've tried it today! yum!). The only not so great thing is the micro parking lot that is adjacent to a very busy street, Kingsway. It's hard to enter and exit during rush hour and the lot is consistently overflowed during peak hours. It's best to do street parking and avoid the lot. Overall, ridiculously good food, great vibes and a unique joint that can't be found anywhere else in Vancouver. A must-eat in my books !

Yelp
This is my favorite Mexican place in the city. It is quite authentic not like some places in town. I usually order the lamb burrito to go. It is very tasty and flavorful and is a good size as well. This place is almost always busy so if you want takeout it's probably better to call your order in or you might be waiting a bit. The service is pretty good considering how busy they are as well. The parking lot is pretty small but there is street parking.....

Yelp
Sal y Limón seems to be a pretty legit, authentic Mexican spot in town. It's nestled right in between Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza and Bale. They have a second location in Surrey. The inside is actually quite spacious with lots of tables and high tops for solo diners. Lots of cool Mexican art up on their walls. Don't miss out on the hot sauces in the back corner; it's self serve. The menu is located up front by the lineup area. There's tortas, tacos, dips, huaraches, quesadillas, burritos and desserts. Order at the front, grab a number and wait for your order to be dropped off to your table. Boom. - Horchata ($2.75) - this was actually really good. Refreshing, not too sweet and a hint of cinnamon. - Fish taco ($3.00 with cheese) - this was my favourite out of the four. Perfectly battered, flaky and tender on the inside. A little pico de gallo thrown on top. - Shrimp taco ($3.00) - I wasn't a huge fan of the cream sauce but it was still enjoyable. - Beef tongue ($3.00) - always love ordering lengua. This one was the plainest in terms of flavour but the tongue was well prepared with minimal ingredients; my type of taco. - Barbacoa de cordero ($3.00) - roasted lamb. A little oily and a slight heat to it. Another solid option. Perfect lunch spot. I'd come back to try the rest of their taco options along with their ceviche! Bonus, they take credit cards.

Yelp
Great quick service and delicious food at at Sal y Limon. If you're craving some tacos, come here. They have a wide selection of tacos, burritos, tostadas, etc. I chose the lamb, roasted pork, and fried fish. My favourite was the fish. There are a selection of salsas you can add to the tacos, but I found the tacos were delicious and flavourful as is! Didn't have to wait long for the food and the atmosphere was awesome with a live DJ.

Yelp
One of our favorite Mexican joints. We have been coming to the Sal y Limon location on Kingsway even before it expanded in size. The employees are friendly and hardworking. They have one of the best fresh fried fish tacos in the city. They're small (I usually order 2) but really pack a tasty punch. And what makes it even better is their in-house made diablo sauce. Ten years ago it seemed like they used habaneros or a hotter pepper, but recently we noticed the heat level has been diluted down. Either way we always come back for the friendly faces and amazing tacos (al pastor, fish, beef tongue, etc). Pepe and team are just wonderful.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten at Sal y Limón for years and we keep coming back. It's tucked away in a little complex and the parking is horrible but we put up with it for fresh authentic tacos. I love their crispy fried fish tacos ($3.15 each). I usually get two fish tacos and an al pastor worth no cheese. And a side of chips and guac. Their chips are thin and aren't salted which is how we love them. Their DIABLO sauce is one of the best sauces in town, although in recent years they've really taken down the spice level. This is a random tidbit: I give them extra stars because they're as environmentally conscious as they can be. Most of their cutlery and cups are recyclable and made of eco-friendly materials.

Yelp
I went here on Aug 10th (Friday) for some taco cravings. I had Fish Taco ($2.75), Pastor ($2.60) and Beef Salsa Verde($2.60) with Coconut Horchata ($2.50). Everything was great except for Pastor and Beef Tacos they tasted dry. Fish Taco tasted fresh and yummy. I actually regretted getting Beef and Pastor ones, and realized I should've stick to Fish Tacos instead. Coconut Horchata was amazing. Fresh and tasty! If you're a coconut lover this drink is a MUST get! Great service every single time!

Yelp
Service: 5/5, the guy who took our order was nice and helpful (considering we had a party of 13). Food also came out pretty fast. You also need to order first then you just choose wherever you want to sit. We came on a wed night around 6:30 and it was crowded, but it was not too difficult to find a table after you order. Price: $ reasonable Parking: limited, we had to park on the street Taco: 3/5 I like their pork and fish taco, they were good. The pork one was juicy, so that was interesting. Burrito: 2/5 I got their super marinera and that was too spicy for me. Taste wise, it was okay. I wouldn't recommend getting their burrito here, as the tacos were better. Guacamole: 2/5, not a lot of avocado and didn't taste fresh. Horchata: sweet and tasted more like ice cream. I feel like I've had more traditional horchata. Overall, satisfied with my experience!

Yelp
Still a great spot for a speedy casual bite to eat. They move the big line ups fast and the food is always good. I can't speak to authenticity as I'm not from California :P but if you want fresh tasty food its good. There's a great play spot for little ones, but it gets a bit over crowded in here. Last time I was in it wasn't possible to walk to the bathrooms because high chairs were blocking the doorway, the layout could use a little work (although they are just trying to get lots of people in which I appreciate too!) Fast casual dining is some of my favorite and this place doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
After having food court tacos the week before, I decided I was craving REAL tacos so obviously I had to go to one of the best :) My boyfriend and I went for our second visit to Sal y Limon (I thought I reviewed before, but looks like I did not). We went on a Friday late evening and it was buzzing! However we were able to find a table right away (you order first and bring your number to a vacant table if you're dining in) so needless to say I was pretty happy. Salsas are all available at a counter near the window, and with so many it's fun to try different kinds. We ordered a variety of tacos - beef, chicken, pineapple and pork, lamb, and fish. My favorites were the beef and the lamb. The beef comes with a generous slice of flavourful meat. The lamb was also very tasty. The chicken had a bit of a gamey taste but was very tender. The pineapple and pork and fish tacos were my boyfriend's favorites. Don't hesitate to order the tacos with cheese :) If I were to leave one tip for future visitors, it is to definitely get the piña colada drink. It's gluten and dairy free and super delicious.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this place because yes, the food is good- but, more it's SO KID-FRIENDLY. This was pre-Covid times, but I can't even begin to explain the benefits of a whole play area for kids to me being able to enjoy my meals. Legit, I can sit and chew and no small person is yelling at me for an iPad or whatever (I'm a questionable parent). Having been first-timers here, we ordered a plethora of taco options. Now, I'm kind of annoying and had no idea what I wanted, not really realizing that as soon as you get in the door you're hot with the register situation and it's time to order. So, a huge thank you to the very patient human being who talked me through my options and helped me order (and remained efficient, I was trying to be cognizant of not holding everyone in line up). Tacos were all good, but fish taco remains my favourite- it's not as 'intricate' seeming as the others, it just works. The sauce to toppings ratio is perfect here too.

Yelp
Busy. Pumping music. Simple. Authentic. Totally worth it. Food is fantastic. You can expect a bit of a line to order. Get your number, sit down and wait for the food to arrive. Slam that food. Eat the s@#!t out of. Use both hands. Let it spill if it wants to. Then leave because someone else is probably looking for a place to sit. Expect some heavy burps through the the rest of the day. That's part of the deal.
