We went here for our anniversary dinner and took the Kaiseki menu (tasting menu).
The whole experience was a mixed bag:
- some dishes were really tasty, like the tuna and butterfish sashimi, the egg and the okra tempura, the wagyu dipped in shabushabu broth and the eel Nigri
- others were disappointing, the shrimp for the tempura was clearly not fresh, the tuna maki disappointing, and the fried soy rice with lobster too oily.
- the rest was ok, but nothing too exciting
Most disappointing was the rice. Rice stands as the foundation of many japanese dishes and honestly the one served here was sub par.
All in all this could be an ok Japanese restaurant especially considering the general low quality of japanese cuisine in Switzerland. However due to the high price and honestly mediocre service I'd advise to steer clear.
