First time there, after passing it up for years. I got the blackened salmon salad and added shrimp and though it was a standard salad… I truly enjoyed it. I will definitely be back to try a wrap next time. Also got me a chocolate chip cookie that was real soft! 🔥 That lady at the register was pleasant and greeted me with a smile.

I got the blackened salmon salad, so delicious! My boyfriend got the shrimp, his was good also. The staff was very friendly. I will absolutely be back! I was trying to eat healthy today but those spuds were calling my name 😂

I came here almost 2 years ago for the salmon and shrimp potato. Started craving it again so I tried it today. It’s still as good as it was when I first tasted it. The chocolate chip cookies are delicious too.

The food was good I ordered this wrap and two chicken baked potatoes. I only gave 4 starts because the customer service could have been better some of the employees were friendly some acted like they didn’t want to be there. Overall I would still recommend the food.

There are many gems in New Orleans East. One being Salads Galore. The chefs and supportive team.members work hard daily, and it consistently shows in the preparation of the foods served to the general public, especially the nutrient dense salads I enjoy as a diabetic. For every time I leave here, I thank God for these vessels of his grace in and to and for a community still so underserved. Thank you !!!

Baby if yall wanted me right get fired from my job then just say that because I went to sleep so fastafter eating. I ordered the grilled shrimp salad and added bacon and egg and mannnnn when I ate my food it was so tasty and filling. I was full but wasn't stuffed. The ingredients were so fresh and the shrimp was seasoned to perfection. That's the most comforting salad I ate to the point that I fell asleep at my work desk 20mins later. That thing was GOOD. Definitely not eat that at work again, that salad is meant for my house near a bed lol. Thank you @tamlovestoeat

I initially was going to do a food review for my page to give this business more exposure, but i basically got salmon and spring mix. I got a salmon salad w/o cheese. The price doesn't match what's online and they don't do substitutions. I got a huge piece of salmon and A LOT of spring mix, two slices of avocado, two slices of cucumber, 3 tomatoes, and two punches of carrots when initially i wanted to sub for more cucumber initially. Compared to the images i seen online i was expecting more.

The Food is amazing. Customer service leaves you wanting more from them, smh. Menu, what you read is not what is there so IF THEY ANSWER the phone, be sure to ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS. "I said what I said" is to be expected, so expect it, don't be afraid, ask again.

Fresh delicious food I hate traveling all the way to the east I'm so far away but it's worth it

I've been twice and would go again. When I'm in the mood for a nice refreshing home made kinda salad I think of this place. Usually when I'm craving them there closed (due to them being open for a few hours of the day). I got the Grilled Chicken Salad and a spud, both very tasty. I did add more chicken for my salad.

Love salads galore. The wraps are sooo good and the salads too. Nice having black owned healthy option in the east.

I got the Big Chief Spud and it was delicious! It's grilled salmon and shrimp with butter, cheese and chives. They have a sour cream packet on the side. The salmon is flavored just right and it's very filling. The actual location is only open as a window inside to place your order and then go back outside as they said you're not allowed to wait inside. You have to wear your mask to enter and a sign outside says no more than 2 customers at a time. So they give you an estimate of when your food will be done and then you just go back in to get it at some point. It would be nice if they had a system that alerts you when your order is up or just brought it out to you.

The stuffed potatoes are great and they offer a nice variety. Placing order to go sometimes takes awhile to get through on the phone especially around lunch but once you get them the order is ready as promised .

Happy New Year!!! Found a GEM in NO East named Salad Galore. Y'all know I'm about black owned so I had to try them out. Not only is this a black owned restaurant, it's one of the healthiest spots in the East! They have things from salads, wraps and baked potatoes. I decided to get the salmon salad and a basic spud (not pictured). Imma just say that salmon was cookedt to the T baybeee you hear me! Very seasoned and well cooked .... not to dry or undercooked. I will def be back to try damn near the whole menu. So next time your in New Orleans East make sure you pull up to Salad Galore!

Came here one day for lunch with a friend and I was pretty excited to try their spuds. From the outside, the building looks pretty rundown but that usually doesn't deter me from eating at a place. We ordered for takeout the Grilled Chicken Salad, Anthony Davis Spud with Garlic Lemon Salmon, and another Anthony David Spud but with Lightly Blackened Salmon. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The potatoes were the main attraction and was aesthetically pleasing. Sadly, the potatoes came with two small strips of grilled salmon and four shrimps. It looks like it was carefully portioned just for the presentation. There were no indications of which potato had the garlic lemon salmon or the lightly blackened salmon, so we had to figure it out. The differences were very minor with the garlic lemon salmon only tasting like it had a splash of lemon added. The salad didn't look anything too special, but it was a pretty large portion and they gave me three containers of salad dressing. The grilled chicken was grilled a bit too long and was really dry and tough. Overall, a decent place to get some spuds, salads, and sandwiches. It's pretty pricey for what you get in take out containers. Hopefully I will like more of their other menu options in the future.

I love coming here! I live in the east and it's very hard to find nutritional and healthy food, but not only did they have that, there food was also also delicious! The lady at the desk now knows my order. I recommend getting the blackened salmon salad first!

Best salmon salad I've ever had! My new go to lunch spot! I wish I had a picture to post but I smashed that salad! It didn't stand a chance! Give it a try!

10/13/2014 What an unexpected surprise to find this gem of a place. Was in East NOLA taking a break from a community service project and was looking for a non-fast food restaurant to get a quick and lite lunch. I have to admit that I almost judged the place by it's surrounding but glad I didn't and reviews by fellow YELPERS assisted in my decision to try this place out. Located in a weathered strip mall Salad Galore & More is unassuming. Once you open the door, you are brought to a simple, humble, clean and welcoming eating establishment. An alternative to the surrounding popular unhealthy fast food chains, this place brings an element of healthy vegetables, grains, seafood and lean meat options to choose from. I was delighted to see they had a spuds (potatoes) section with all types of options that can be put in a baked potato. In addition, they had salads, wraps, beef and turkey burgers and a variety of chicken and grilled shrimp selections. I opted to get get a Shrimp spud with grilled shrimp, chives, lite on the butter and shredded cheese. The potatoes in this place are rather large and filling as a meal. This was absolutely filling and delicious. I walked away very satisfied. The customer service was dead on and the southern hospitality shined through. The sister of the owner represented this place well as she gave me and my table-mates a little history of the place. I so enjoy small businesses like this that offer awesome healthy services and goods to their community. Next time in NOLA, I will definitely come here again to support.

Their salads are always on point! There has never been a time where I didn't like the food! It also they don't use a lot of ice burg lettuce which is 10/10 for me!

I LOVE THIS PLACE . PERIODT. this black owned establishment provides a healthy option for the people of New Orleans East were unfortunately trapped in a blatant and obvious food desert. I've ordered many salads from them but my almost favorite is there salmon salad with ranch dressing. The portion of me is always enough in their presentation says my taste buds over the edge every time. Although still considered "fast food", this place tends to have longer to get time so be sure to order over the phone before you arrive to ensure you can eat then return to work on time. Overall, I would highly recommend.

One of the few healthier places to eat in New Orleans. I always get the salmon salad and the portion size is plentiful with fresh greens (not iceberg lettuce). Salmon cooked perfectly (not dried out). I've only had take out when working but after placing order over the phone the food is ready upon arrival. My only complaint is they aren't open on weekends when I need them most! I definitely will continue to eat here!

Muy Bien! I am so glad this place is located in New Orleans east. What a change and pleasant one. We really need more spots with turkey burgers. If you read my millions of reviews, you will find one common denominator: I love turkey burgers. Salads Galore does have different kinds of turkey burgers named after saints players. Not new to New Orleans but I think it's fun. The SALMON SALAD is SLAMMIN. Her recipe is unbelievably innovative and flavorful. If you are in the area or out of the area, please pay her a visit. She is very sweet and has a great spirit for a small business owner. Please check store hours before you visit.

Finding healthier food is hard in New Orleans. Finding healthier food that tastes good is even harder. This place does both and is located in a neighborhood that needs it, mostly surrounded by fast food and corner stores with fried food. No friend food here. Had the salmon salad, it was great. Worth the wait. Don't live in the neighborhood but will drive here again.Can't wait to try more items. Friendly service too. Support mom and pop restaurants!!

One of the only healthy eating options in New Orleans East but I am so great-full for it. Freshly prepared every time and remarkably tasty. Iv tried many time to recreate at home and still have not mastered what they have. I wish they were open later or on weekends so I could visit more.

Food is really good prices are fair staff is attentive and helpful, space looks a little creepy from the outside but inside is bright clean and very nice and cheery. The menu isn't very large but it doesn't need to be there is something for the vegan and the carnivores and they are some great options.

One of my absolute favorite spots when visiting NOLA! Food is delicious, fresh, and the servings are usually more than enough for another meal for later. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating! Would love to see one open in the Atlanta area!

Great baked potatoes but I have to call their 5 or 6 times before someone answers the phone to take the order which is frustrating. I've given up and ordered elsewhere because of it but their potatoes are very good.

Food-5 Customer Service-1 Their food is great honestly. As for their customer service, not so much. If you're trying to pick up food quick on a lunch break you can almost always count on them either not answering the phone or having a busy line. It's so annoying. I stopped ordering from there a while ago for this reason but I ordered for the 1st time again yesterday and had success! Sadly no answer again today. Over it. Burritos Grille right in front of them answers all the time if you're looking for somewhat healthy/reliable food. and their customer service is great!

Sean peyton spud is life.. Luv it jus wish they were open on weekends when i get off during the week they close i can only get a spud when im off doing the week .. Luv the anthony davis spud also..

Food is always fresh, service is always friendly. My favorite is the Coach Payton spud with Bacon! No bacos here, REAL BACON

I've been here twice. Both times staff were less than welcoming and friendly. The food is decent. I got a salad and a baked potato.

Good food but pack a lunch to get ur lunch 1 wrap takes about 40 minutes... Not a viable lunch option! As they say on SHARK TANK ... I'm OUT! It's like a bad sit com !!!

I bought the blackened shrimp salad. Very delicious. Black owned and in the east where there are few options besides fast food.

It's like one of the few healthier takeout places in the east. It's black owned which is why I supported them but I had to stop 1.the staff are not welcoming, 2. They don't do much outside of cooking the food to satisfy customers 3. You can't depend on them to answer the phone if you're need of a quick bite and then they're nonchalant about the fact that they basically ignore phone calls if they feel like they're busy or anywhere close to closing time. In sum, the food is okay. But the service is not great

My wife and I both ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was totally exceptional. Full of flavor, but their prices are a little steep for salads. The young lady that took our orders was friendly and attentive. Now I can deal with the high prices if I feel it's all worth it but my biggest issue is the lack of ventilation. We walked out smelling like a grease trap. I'd go back but I'd order ahead over the phone to avoid smelling like I been working in the kitchen.

Three words come to mind for this haven in the East: Simple, Healthy, & Delicious. The East isn't entirely devoid of good eats (po'boys, seafood, Vietnamese, sould food, etc.) , but this place sticks out as a unique option. I work nearby and often want to keep it light for lunch without having to sacrifice flavor. Salads Galore is perfect for this! My favorites are their shrimp wrap and their blackened salmon sandwich (can also get the blackened salmon in a salad). If you want to heartier, they have a variety of baked potatoes dressed up with other ingredients. I haven't tried any of the spud options yet but everything has looked great. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Check this spot out!

This spot is a NO East hidden gem. I had the taco salad which was good, although it seemed to be missing some of the ingredients that were listed in the description. Other than that, I liked it and would get lunch there again.

My job ordered food from here and indeed, there were salads galore. Some of my colleagues quietly ate their sandwich's (I'm assuming they were delicious because we'd all stopped talking), another person was loving their potato, and the rest of us enjoyed salads. I had the salmon salad +extra avocado & it was delicious . Well seasoned fish & fresh greens. I'll definitely try their potatoes next time.

The food is great and a healthier alternative to fast food. The only 2 negatives are the hours and that they NEVER answer the phone. Its cool to be open for lunchtime but its closed on the weekends. People want to eat healthy on the weekend too. Given the number of the businesses in the area, they could be successful for the working lunch crowd. When they don't answer, you have to go down there and wait. Okay. Now with the pandemic, you can't really do that. They've missed MULTIPLE sales just from my coworkers and I so I can imagine the other people that chose somewhere. But if you can catch them, you won't be sorry.

One of the best turkey burgers I have ever had! Big juicy and extremely flavorful. Now they do this weird side of veggie fries which is like a reconstituted potato. I'm not a fan of that but I will keep coming back for the turkey burgers. They also offer wraps and salads but I always get the turkey burgers.

These salads....omg! The food here is such a great alternative to the "same ol same" here in the east. My go-to is the grilled shrimp salad or potato. You can't go wrong!

Get the Shrimp Fajita Potato! It's my favorite but I've since turned others on to this gem and over heard nothing but good reviews about other potatoes and salads as well.

Couldn't really tell where the place was bc the shopping center looks vacant. Girl at the register was rude and she got argumentative as well as conf. They give you veggie straws. You can get more than they give for less at any grocery store. I ordered the Witch Dr wrap with honey mustard. The wrap itself was very good. Won't ever come back though.

Love this place! We get the grilled salmon salad always fresh and tasty! Make sure you order 20 minutes prior to picking up its gonna take that long to get your food! It's cooked to order.

This place is great! Now, I've only had one thing, The Anthony Davis spud and it was amazing. It was FRESH both times and I've never had a better spud EVER. It had fresh salmon and shrimp!! You would do yourself a disservice if you didn't try this!!

We came in town for a cruise and was looking for something cheap but good. This place is the absolute BEST. There was 9 people in our group and we all loved it and have requested her to come to our town in TN and open up one there. Also, my fiance and I asked her to cater our wedding next year! Five stars FOR SURE!!!!!!

the food is great...having consistency with operating hours would be even better. how do you close early on a friday...how you don't answer the phone to take orders... get there at 4:30 get told we closing early today....don't you depend on the locals to stay in business...just wow

Awesome place. Friendly People. Great food. I had the blackened salmon sandwich and it was great. I'm happy that eastern New Orleans finally has a Resturant with healthy items on the menu. I would give them 5 stars if they had longer hours to cater to those getting off of work at 5pm..... Not throwing any hints but maybe a 7pm close time... *wink wink*

I was skeptical pulling into the parking lot of what appeared to be an abandoned mini strip mall,however I was pleasantly surprised! I tried the Blackened Salmon Salad and must say it was absolutely delicious! Must try...I don't think you'd be disappointed.
