The Chicken Schnitzel sandwich was incredible! I highly recommend if it’s your first time. The chicken was crispy, the baguette was pillowy and not too tough, and the condiments all combined to make this a great sandwich. What’s great is that it’s easy to make substitutions because it’s similar to Subway, where you can pick your own ingredients and sauces (but don’t get it twisted, it’s WAY better than Subway). The only disappointment were the fries. They were thick cut and a bit soggy. They will not travel well so I recommend getting chips or a side salad. Overall this place beats all the usual subway sandwich chains. This will be my go-to sandwich spot in the valley moving forward.

Salateam is easily one of the best kosher spots in the Valley. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken, and it blew me away. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, the portion was huge, and the grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned—juicy, flavorful, and not dry at all. My friend had the ribeye sandwich, which was stacked with tender beef, caramelized onions, and served on a warm sesame baguette. It tasted like a kosher Philly cheesesteak—rich, satisfying, and super filling. Everything is made to order, and the service was quick and friendly. We ate outside on their casual patio and felt right at home. Bonus points for the house sauces—they elevate the whole experience (especially the green sauce + tahini combo). If you’re looking for fresh, filling, and flavorful kosher food in Tarzana, Salateam is a must. Great for healthy eaters, big appetites, or anyone who just loves quality food.

We were looking for a salad bar and found this place thinking of giving it a shot, and I would say was one of the best experiences with their savory Rib Eye sandwich and Chicken breast salad! The portion is big so make sure you’re not ordering too much! Highly recommended

It's kind of a small place, but it wasn't busy at all. The food was delicious! You can tell It's made fresh. And the service was pretty good. The food came surprisingly fast and the staff was nice.

Very disappointed with the way this sandwich was made. They made a mistake with the first order and when they brought the second order my boss was removing the jalapeños from his sandwich and found this Hair in the sandwich which was so disgusting.

The space may be modest, but it exudes charm, warmth, and authenticity. Gilad & Primo are amazing at putting together comfort food and tasty dishes with friendly service. this place is a must-visit. It's the kind of spot you'll want to keep secret, but the quality is so good, you can't help but share it with friends.

Fresh and yummy. Schnitzel was juicy and crispy. The only thing I would change is if they had an option to chop up all the veggies in the bowl because the carrots and red onions were too big.

The Shalshuka was pretty good, but WHERE ARE THE SALATEEM? With a name like Salateam, I assumed that they would have a nice selection of Israeli/ Mediterranean salads, and all they have is a very basic American salad bar, mediocre Sabra-Salad like humus and some spicy Israeli condiments. No babaganoush, tabouli, Moroccan carrot salad, chopped Israeli salad, or other great Israeli salads.

I enjoyed one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had at this Valley gem. The green omelette baguette was loaded with fresh veggies, hummus, shug, amba, eggplant schnitzel, pickles and it elevated my neshama to the next level. The service was friendly and the restaurant is immaculate -- they clearly take pride in what they're doing and know how tasty their food is. I can't wait to come back.

What more can you ask for? It's healthy. It's quick It's fresh and the staff is super friendly. The sandwiches are unbelievably tasty and the salads are delicious

Delicious food. What stood out to me: * Very clean restaurant * Large variety of salads * The food looked and tasted fresh * The hummus and tahini are authentic; I could tell they use real olive oil * Service was quick and efficient * The menu display with prices is on the wall and clearly visible * The food is well-shielded from guests by a full glass divider Cleanliness is very important to me, and I find this restaurant to be a perfect lunch spot: clean, delicious, and healthy.

As I pop in to Yelp to write this review, I realize I am only one of the couple hundred amazing reviews so far for this awesome establishment. I went in there with my good friend last night for the first time and you can feel the great hospitality right away, the superior quality of food, and experience that's different from majority of other, fast casual restaurants around. We enjoyed middle eastern entrées and loved talking with the handsome gentleman that was taking care of the restaurant that evening. I'm really thrilled to have found this spot and will be going back for more great food and service.

Found Salateam on Yelp while looking for something open late and the food was delicious. And better than that, the staff was very friendly and excited for us to try something new. We both ordered Chicken Shnitzel - one baguette sandwich and one plate. Chose our salads and toppings from a large variety and everything was great. We'll definitely be back.

This is Kosher sweet green. Maybe a bit better too--I like the protein options more. Food is fresh and healthy. Ambiance is casual, and service is friendly. Like I'm hanging out with a friend. More low key than Tel Aviv grill, and more salad-forward.

The green omelette sandwich is more delicious than I can desscribe. I tell the owner to put whatever he thinks is the best combination of toppings, and let me tell you, the man is an artist! Zeh mamash taim!

the spicy chicken schnitzel with everything is very delicious. portions are generous, & the chicken was very tender. the fries are very delicious as well! i got my food really fast. dining in is a vibe very home-y & welcoming. the service was very efficient & friendly. also it's kosher.

Most authentic Israeli food in LA, Would recommend everything they offer except the kabob and hummus (for some reason they do not get the proper seasoning or flavor and do not taste authentic), the schnitzels were 10/10 like when I visited Israel. Service is nicer than most Israeli restaurants, and much cleaner!

The food is so fresh & delicious. Schnitzel sandwiches with fantastic options for toppings. So many to choose from... I always ask for recommendations and I'm always pleased with the result. Tonight we also had falafel and pea soup and spaghetti. A feast!

Omg I'm obsessed with the chicken schnitzel here. So thin but so juicy at the same time. The two girls helping in the front were professional and helpful. Build your own salad bar with unlimited toppings that they do not cheap out on. They also gave me the different sauces to try out with my salad and the HUMMUS.. SOOOO good. I'll be back to try the sandwich next time!

We were passing through and stopped here for lunch. We are so glad we did! T got the ribeye sandwich. He really loved it!! Said it was pretty filling and the meat was really good. Came with fries as well that were nice and soft on the inside. Not the thin cut type of fries. I had the Make it yours salad. They have soo many toppings to choose from and are very generous with them. The fried eggplant was a highlight. The shishito peppers were too spicy for me. So many seeds!!! A highlight of the meal was the bread. I would just buy the bread even. It was perfectly toasted! I don't think I've ever had bread more perfect than that. Lol. And I feel and sound like a bread fanatic but I'm really not. The dressing they have is also amazing. I'm not sure what it was though. T also got this Israeli drink that was amazing and so unique! Sounds like it'd be weird but it wasn't. Service is excellent as well. They have high chairs in case you have little ones. The bathroom was nice and clean. Outdoor as well as indoor seating available. A little pricier than I'd normally spend at $12 a salad without an added protein or fat like tuna / avocado but well worth it

This place has horrible customer service, the staff is very unhelpful, the girl who's been working here for "2 days" has a major attitude. They have other customers unsatisfied, gave someone the wrong order, and left people sitting there, not letting them know their order was ready. Definitely Won't be coming back here..

Delicious! We had a schnitzel salad and a ribeye sandwich. I love that you get to build your toppings. The service was very fast and friendly. The sandwich was really outstanding and the salad was excellent...definitely will return.

This place is great. I believe it's fairly new and family owned. I just moved close last month. So it's my Goto Healthful, fresh, 'eating out' take out option. Staff is great, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is kosher, fresh cooked and ALL fresh cut vegetation daily. Fresh made sauces from chimichurri and hummus, all made in-house -desserts, as well .You can tell they take pride in service, food preparation & storage of food, temperature wise. (I'm a Chef) kudos to the owner and staff that runs it. Also Marco I believe his name is; is great! Personable, knowledgeable and good with customers. Give that young man a raise.

Walked in here and thought for sure not giving them 5 stars because there was no greeting, no acknowledgement. I'm here wondering if anyone would speak to me and tell me where to go. Wasn't sure if this was make the sandwich first and then pay or vice versa. Well you pay first. The girl hands you a receipt and your ticket. Which YOU have to give to the person making the food. I didn't know that so they yelled at me telling me to give the guy my ticket. The guy was super friendly and since I had no idea how I wanted my sandwich, he just made it like it was for him. It comes with fries and sauces on the side. I got some shishito peppers which were spicy and delicious. As you can see, I gave this place 5 stars. When I took a bite of the sandwich I said I'm fine without a greeting. All the flavors went so well together. Not stingy with the meat. The hummus is excellent. The fries are well seasoned and thick.

I've been to this place multiple times. Love the food. Everything is always super fresh. Loved coming here. But today I came in. I was the only customer at the restaurant. The girl at the register seemed nice and took my order. However as soon as I paid she started doing something else: moving stuff around, listening to some voice messages, doing something on her phone. And I was waiting to let someone know what to put in my salad (because that's what usually happens). Then the guy who was on the other side realized that I looked confused, that I'm waiting but being ignored. He started asking the girl something (I guess asking her what I'm waiting for and why I look confused). But I don't know what he was asking cause they were speaking in a different language so I wasn't understanding them. (This whole time I was standing by the register in front of the girl) I don't know why they were doing it in front of me. I think it is rude. I was right there, and they were probably discussing my situation in a language I wasn't understanding. I started assuming why am I being ignored: maybe they were waiting on chicken, maybe she needed a 7 minute break, but I'm not to supposed to assume. I was supposed to be told what was going on. For example: "please wait for 5 minutes, we'll be right with you" The guy was nice though and was obviously trying to get things going. Just sharing

Worst service ever These people act like they're doing you a favor. They never answer the phone and when they do they are plain rude. I tried giving them another chance after not having gone for some time (because of this very issue). They hang up on you and finally say they're just too busy and will call you back for the order. Is this a restaurant or a post office?! They have the nerve to answer the phone with "we're too busy and the phones ringing so we're picking it up what do you need" talk about worst customer service ever. Stay away!!!
