4.25 ⭐️ After eating at Rosetta the night before, we all enthusiastically agreed that Salazar is the superior restaurant. The food portions and taste were better. The service was better. The price was better. The environment was better - less busy / crowded and a nice view.

We stayed in Mexico City for just two weeks and we visited this restaurant two times because it was so outstanding. The roasted chicken dish was phenomenal and the Wagyu burger is the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Fany was an outstanding server and the dining room is absolutely beautiful.

Salazar: Top-Tier Views, Top-Tier Food (But Bring Your Wallet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Salazar is a must-try in Mexico City. The food is fantastic, with a short but well-curated menu. The place itself is beautiful, but the real star is the view of the Ángel de la Independencia. It's perfect for a date or a gathering with friends. The Good: -Amazing Food: Seriously, the food is top-notch. -Stunning Views: The view of the Ángel is incredible. -Date or Friends: Works for both romantic and friendly outings. The Not-So-Good: -Pricey Drinks: The drinks are a bit on the expensive side. The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a memorable meal with a breathtaking view, Salazar is a great option. Just be prepared to spend a little extra, especially on drinks.

Wonderful meal on a Sunday! Our hostess, Daniella suggested Mexican wine from San Miguel de Allende. Great atmosphere. Everything was delicious, from the starters to the main course. If you see the roasted chicken on menu don't hesitate. The prawns were out of sight!Highly recommend this exclusive restaurant with spectacular views of the city.

Salazar is a great concept that, in our opinion, falls a bit short in execution. The food was beautifully presented, though some dishes lacked depth in flavor. That said, overall, the meal was enjoyable. What stood out the most, however, was the service not necessarily in a positive way. From the reception to the overall attentiveness, there were some inconsistencies. For instance, some wines listed on the menu were unavailable, and the sommelier’s explanation “we don’t sell this by the glass” didn’t quite align with what was advertised. Additionally, while attentive service is appreciated, being asked multiple times per course if everything was okay felt excessive, especially when small details, like clearing empty glasses, were overlooked. Salazar has the view, the stunning setup, and the atmosphere. But for the prices charged, a “less is more” approach to service could make a big difference and elevate the experience. With a bit more refinement, Salazar could truly shine.

Unfortunately this was a no for us. Overall it’s not that it was terrible, but we felt that the food was made with excess oil, and that in general everything was overpriced. Although service was great. Daniela was fantastic.

Enrique and Alice were genuinely kind and attentive. Alice took the time to walk me through the space and menu, and Enrique even went back to the kitchen to personally make sure my order was exactly right. We had a pleasant conversation, and the snapper was excellent. The view is also beautiful. I would be happy to return.
