"Salima Specialties in Skyway offers a menu that it describes as Pan-Asian but is truly Cham, a mostly Muslim Indigenous culture from Southeast Asia. The restaurant, opened in March 2022 by Nurhaliza Mohamath and her parents, celebrates Cham cuisine, which blends elements from Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Muslim culinary traditions. The restaurant features traditional Cham dishes alongside halal versions of local favorites, such as Vietnamese food, with all meats made in-house. Signature dishes include Salima's famous peanut sauce, chicken satay skewers, and the Cham bao, all embodying the unique Cham flavor with ingredients like toasted coconut milk. The restaurant aims to be a cultural hub for the Cham community in Seattle, providing a connection to their heritage and a taste of home." - Naomi Tomky

Imagine a Zabiha Halal restaurant in Seattle that could give any top-tier Vietnamese spot a run for its money—that’s exactly how my friend described this place. And trust me, you don’t need to imagine, this is real! It doesn’t end at being Vietnamese. Whether you're craving Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, or Japanese or Cham Cambodian cuisine, this spot has something for everyone. So I mentioned Vietnamese? I have to start with the pho. Oh. My. Goodness. It’s incredible! The broth needs to be spot on , and it is ! it is everything—clear yet super rich, perfect balance of savory, sweet, and umami. super aromatic and bursting with bold flavors of simmered beef and spices. Silky, chewy noodles, crisp herbs, and a splash of hoisin or sriracha -- boom. Tender oxtail, juicy meatballs, or sliced brisket, each piece absorbed the broth’s richness beautifully. It’s the ultimate comfort food for Seattle’s chilly gloomy days! Must Try! 9/10 Beef Banh Mi Samdwich: The first thing I always check in a authentic bánh mì is the bread,—it shouldn’t be the French baguette but the true Vietnamese derivative, crusty on the outside and airy inside. It passed the test. The first bite felt a bit dry, but the second was a burst of flavor. The juicy beef carried a delicate hint of lemongrass, paired beautifully with tangy pickled vegetables, crunchy carrots, fresh herbs, and crispy onions on top. Every element worked in harmony, with just the right balance of spice and fragrance. One minor suggestion: while delicious, a slightly larger portion of sauces/mayo would enhance the sandwich. 8/10 Beef Short Ribs! This dish on the menu truly surprised me and made me happy. This is probably their most popular dish. The Vietnamese braised Beef Short Ribs was deeply flavorful, with a rich balance of sweet and savory notes. Note that, these are Asian style thinly cut short ribs, not the bone in short ribs, means mostly meat with little bone. I loved the subtle heat and fragrant aroma, the contrasting notes with jasmine rice and egg and a side of fresh herbs for garnishing. On my day the meat was a bit tough, I wish it was more tender. 7.5/10 Let’s move on to the Malayasian/Indonesian dishes: Chicken Satay: To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Satay until I tried it at Salima's. The chicken skewers were incredibly flavorful, with a smoky, savory, and slightly sweet char. The creamy peanut sauce was a revelation – they even claimed it was recognized the best in Seattle! And the addition of crispy onions provided a delightful textural contrast. Must try ! 9.5/10 Roti Canai, a Malaysian take on layered flatbread, was served with Malaysian lamb curry. While its origins lies in South Asia, the Malaysian version has its own unique charm. One prerequisite – forget the south Asian expectation of how curry should be. I could remove my south Asian bias on curry – and it was very delicious. 7.5/10 Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) My wife loved the Nasi Goreng, enjoying the flavors and the egg on top. I, however, felt it could have a little more depth of Indonesian touches and could have used more protein for the price. 6.5/10 The menu is extensive, offering countless dishes to explore on many visits. The drink selection is impressive, with options like mango lassi, cold tea and various fruit drinks. I personally enjoyed the passion fruit drink. Prayer facilities with prayer mats, so no worries about missing your Salah. Going to miss their pho at home? Most likely … No worries .. they offer convenient instant pho packets.

Salima’s Specialties is always a fantastic experience! Our go-to favorites are the short rib plate and chicken satay, which are both delicious. We’ve also tried the baked chicken plate and taro fries, which were great additions. For drinks, the hibiscus tea and mango lassi are always refreshing. The decor is cozy, with plants and a vibrant mural that says ‘Let’s Eat,’ plus a map showing where the cuisines originate. This restaurant focuses mainly on Malaysian foods but also offers a few Cham dishes. The food is consistently flavorful, and the service is wonderful every time. Highly recommend!

Great food and kind staff. Meat ball is pho is a must try. The young lady at the counter is very kind and gave us a dine in experience at patio even though we reached almost at the closing hour.

Wish I had a second stomach to try all the other things on the extensive, all-halal pan-SE-Asian menu - brisket pho, chicken satay, roti canai w/ beef curry, and the lemongrass beef as a banh min were all very enjoyable! This was my first experience with Cham cuisine and it had all the familiar and nostalgic touch points to cuisines with which I was familiar (and missed dearly) while being it's own expression of each of those dishes. Would definitely come back if I was anywhere nearby the area in future.

Specializing in Halal Southeast Asian street food, Salima Specialities has something for everyone. The atmosphere is delightful, with bright hand painted murals on the walls, and the service is friendly and fast. The food is packed with flavor in every bite. The beef skewers were tender, juicy, and bursting with savoriness in every bite. There are huge chunks of chicken in the fried rice, enough to easily feed two, and the samosas were crispy, savory, and delicious. I'm excited to go back and try more!

Lovely to pick up a variety of dishes. The food was delicious and the drinks were good too. Chicken Katsu was a hit. Chicken skewers were my favorite. So many great dishes to choose from. Love the pho & got some instant to keep in the cupboard.

Visiting Seattle on a work trip and stopped by Salima’s Specialities straight from the airport - truly one of the best restaurant meals I have had! Got the Vietnamese iced coffee as a drink which was the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness for me, as well as the chicken satay bahn mi and oxtail pho (which comes with the brisket and meatballs in it too). Can’t say enough good things about this place except that I wish they had one in Dallas too! Additionally I noticed they have a divider and prayer mats for anyone who would like to pray and the bathroom was quite clean and included a bidet. All in all very happy that this was my first meal in Seattle, I will make it a point to come back before I leave!

Seating is limited, but food is amazing. Their short ribs were a little too well done, but still tasted good. Their brisket pho, shrimp noodles and spicy chicken teriyaki were all very good. Quantity of food is on the lesser side, though it was plenty for my family.

Yelp
I am from out of town. Went here by accident. Didn't even know this kind of food existed! Now I do- it's Cham! I had intended to visit grocery outlet but saw this place. The advertisement of HALAL made me want to stop in. The atmosphere was very clean and inviting. The menu is simple and not overwhelming, so it was easy to find something to try. The staff was super friendly and very kind. This to me is important. I ordered the chicken kabobs, fries & yummy drink. I ended up saving some food so I could bring home and share with my honey. The food was so incredibly good. I am glad I saved some for later. We are three hours away from you but we're coming back specifically to order the rest of the menu. One of my favorite aspects of this of the fact it's woman owned & operated. Because let's face it- F the patriarchy! We will be back- we love you!

Yelp
I was ecstatic when I heard about a Vietnamese restaurant that prepares its food with halal meat. I'd basically consigned myself to eating veggie pho for the rest of my life which is just not the same! I'm happy to report that Salima Specialties does the dishes justice by cooking them authentically and with fresh ingredients. The standout is the Pho. I got the combo: meatball, brisket, and oxtail. All at one incredible price. Eat this over the course of several days by yourself or share with the entire family while you're at the store. The rich, umami broth will not disappoint! I liked the combo plates too. The fried egg on top of the sticky rice was a nice touch. Mixing the meat, rice, and the pickled veggies on the side was the perfect combo of rich flavors and acidic undercurrent for a refreshing and hearty experience. I didn't love the mountain of fried onions on top, especially since they'd gone soft and were no longer crunchy, but the meat was grilled properly. The Bahn Mi was a bit dry at first, but once you get further into the sandwich you get more of the mayo and it's alright. Definitely not the best Bahn mi in Seattle, but if you eat only halal and this is your only option, it certainly doesn't feel like you're settling. Still a solid bahn mi experience! Service was a tad slow but we came at a busy time. When the food arrived though, it was hot and fresh so we weren't complaining. I liked that there was ample seating in door and out, with the staff being very open to us configuring the seats how we liked based on our party size. There is a little prayer area on the side hallway that has a privacy curtain and prayer rugs. Really appreciated them making that space for us, even though it's a bit cramped. I was more comfortable praying outside on their patio. Overall wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to returning again!

Yelp
Salima Specialties offers several, different Asian delicacies, which made it hard for me to choose what to order the first time I visited. I wanted a lot of the different items I saw on the large menu, like the roti or lamb curry and the chicken wings and you name it. There's something here that'll please just about everyone. Located in the Skyway neighborhood near Grocery Outlet, it's a small shop that has a few tables inside for dining in. However, I noticed that most of the customers were getting takeout. When I asked the employee for her recommendations, she mentioned that the brisket pho was their best seller. Well, it was a typical, rainy day when I visited, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with pho. I ordered that with a Vietnamese iced coffee. You order at the counter and pick a seat where the employees bring your items to you once it's ready. My coffee came out first and it was sooo good! I love Vietnamese coffee and this one was made with Phin coffee, so you know that shit is legit. I loved how bold the coffee was, which is how all coffee should be. Then the brisket pho came out in a heavy, stone pot and there was a ton of brisket and meatballs, with all the standard toppings on the side. The brisket was tender and flavorful and the meatballs were solid. I loved the broth, which I didn't realize I needed on a cold day until I started slurping. I can see why this pho is their best seller. The only minor issue is that a lot of the noodles clumped together, but not a big deal. I would love to come back and explore more of the menu especially because it offers such a variety. I'm glad to have discovered this small business as I can tell it's a beloved spot in the Skyway neighborhood.

Yelp
I ordered the food from Salima Specialties for my husband 50th birthday. They really delivered! The quality of food, the quantity, the presentation, the staff, simply everything was top notch. I ordered food for 75 people and I really think they cooked for 10+ more! The food is so unique and tasty, everyone was asking about the location because they want to visit Salima Specialties in the future. You will be very pleased if you decide to go with catering by Salima Specialties.

Gargi G.

Yelp
Incredible food, very cheery and chill ambience, and such friendly service! The portion size and flavorful food leave absolutely nothing more to be desired. Such a treat to find fully halal restaurants, and that too cuisines beyond the usual middle eastern or indian options. We got extra packed to go, and will definitely be back insha'Allah. Make sure to try the teh tarik, you will not be disappointed!

Kirsten G.

Yelp
I had Salima's for the first time at a community event in Othello & their food was sooo good! It's been a day & I'm still thinking about the chicken wings! Can't wait to try the other items on the menu

Yelp
Assalamualaikum, We are visit Seattle from California and come across to this halal Asian spot. This is BOOM, for halal asian vietnamese and asian fusion. Will come back here when we visit Seattle again, insha Alloh.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! One of the best restaurants in WA state hands down We tried the chicken Satay Bahn Mi it was great OX tail Pho was out of this world the broth was delicious Tenderloin sizzling plate and short ribs plate were very very good This place is a MUST try and we are hopefully will become regulars Service was great and staff were very helpful ambiance was very nice with beautiful decor and music

Tim C.

Yelp
What a gem in our neighborhood! The food is amazing! Shrimp toast, perfect. Have tried several dishes. Worth the price! Plan on waiting for your food in the small dining area or for pick up, more than 20-30 minutes to receive. The guy at the counter needs more training, doesn't yet have the fast moving skills or communication needed in a restaurant establishment.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Love their food and drinks. Particularly that they serve halal food. I'm not religious but I have so much respect for halal practices and prefer eating food that is prepared with respect for the animals and people. The mango drink is delicious. The satay is beyond tasty and a huge serving.

Sania I.

Yelp
Salima Specialties in Seattle is a must try! The ambiance exudes charm, and their service is top-notch. The meatball pho is a so so so good, while their banh mi is an absolute must-try--each bite a taste of perfection. Also the meat here is 100% halal!

Grace C.

Yelp
GET THE LAMB CURRY AND ROTI. And the chicken samosa! With signature sauce. Thank me later. This lamb curry had me singingggg. The tumeric tofu was a lil bland but not terrible. Just slather the lamb curry all over it and you're good!

Annie C.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend and it was the best recommendations we've been to! This hidden gem is located around Skyway area right by Grocery Outlet. As we went inside, we were greeted by the friendly staff at the counter. Since this was our first time, we didn't know what to order but what stood out most was their pan-Asian street foods. The menu had lots of pictures that looked so appetizing. Here's what we got with pics: Drinks: Mango lassi- the drink was good but fruit wasn't ripen enough so it wasn't sweet enough. Thai green tea- this was by far the best drink I've had. The flavor were very fragrant with some hints of floral. I will definitely order this again. Blue butterfly drink- this was a very unique drink that had pea flowers, basil seeds, agar jelly and some nuts. While the drink was pretty to drink, I thought it was just okay. If you like something new and adventurous, this will be it! Foods shared amongst four people: Cham Bao- the bao had a delicious filling of shrimp, veggies and quail egg. Who would've thought having a quail egg inside a bun would taste so good! Definitely a must try! Samosas- Now I've had samosas from Indian restaurants before but this place is no different except the yummy chutney sauce. This was a bit pricey for two pieces but they were huge to split. Chicken satay skewers: This was by far one of our favorites to eat. Chicken were tendered and seasoned with lemongrass, turmeric and drizzled with some special peanut sauce. It goes so well with the side dipping sauces. We liked the peanut and fish sauce. Lemongrass beef: honestly, this was our least favorite dish. The beef were a bit dry. It seasoned well with lemongrass but just wasn't what we expected. Chicken wrap: I saw this on the pictures and knew I had to order this. It has a large piece of chicken with some pickled veggies wrapped with a warm piece of roti. I could technically eat this whole thing as meal. This was one of my favorites to try! Roti canai: really love their flaky roti and have it dipped into their lamb curry. This dish was solid and is halal friendly. Will have to order this again! Chicken wings: the chicken wings were standard but goes really well with their homemade sauces. It came with a signature dipping sauce which we loved. Desserts: Black rice pudding: this was by far our favorite! It has a strong aroma of coconut, filled with pandan, taro and glutinous rice. Really reminds you of the Vietnamese che dessert. Love the fact that it's nice and warm, which was a perfect end to our meal. Will definitely reorder this again! Fried banana: The bananas are breaded and deep fried. It goes really well with the coconut cream dipping sauce. We were sad that we didn't get the passionfruit sauce but the coconut cream was just as delicious! Overall, this small business deserves a 5/5 for the uniqueness of their foods. I like how they incorporate different parts of Pan-Asian cuisine and create street foods to cater different palates. Will definitely come back again to try the other items on the menu!

Tangie N.

Yelp
Great food quality and friendly service.. the short rib and teriyaki plate were good portion that was able to be split

Kimberly H.

Yelp
We ordered shrimp fritters, lamb curry, & a chicken wrap. Order total came out to about $40 - it was cheaper to call and order versus ordering online! My husband and two littles feasted and still have lamb curry leftovers. The curry was flavorful and my son who doesn't like shrimp was "tricked" into trying the fritters and enjoyed them. Both dishes were good but hands down our favorite item was the chicken wrap. Its veggies, marinated meat and unique wrap were most impressive! We will definitely order the chicken wrap again, but may swap out the curry & fritters for other recommended items like the chicken satay, taro fries &/or samosas. The menu all looks SO good!!!

Laura R.

Yelp
I'd like to give 3.5-4 stars for now as I only tried couple items. The Roti with the curry lamb is definitely on point. The leave wraps around the roti brings some aroma and roti itself is tasty. We know is inflation. The curry has only 2 cubes of lamb and 5 cubes of potatoes. I hope the inflation can go down soon so we can enjoy dining out without worrying :') Overall it's good and will definitely visit again!

D'Arcy W.

Yelp
A coworker at work ranted and raved about a new halal place I should visit and how one of his family members runs the joint. I ordered the brisket pho, bao (beef) and a mango lassi. The shop is in a sketchy part of town, so def come here when the sun is up. I had a choice of parking by the dumpster and an old Firebird that someone was probably living out of. Inside the shop is small. You order at the counter and proceed to sit in a tiny area that gets crowded. My blended mango lassi came out first. Kinda bland, not too sweet. Wasn't a real mango lassi, none of the fat yogurt mouth feel. I then watched three take out orders go and half a table of 6 men get served. Pho was decent. The meatballs had a strange fish like after taste. I couldn't put my finger on it but they weren't plain old beef. The chunk of meat I got almost had a slight curry taste to it- odd, is this reallly pho? After I got my pho I watched the rest of the above mentioned table get more orders in...and I'm waiting for my bao. I finish my pho and had to ask the girl who took my order where my bao was. Maybe it was a sign from above that I didn't need the bao- and I should have let it go. Not impressed. Dry and crumbly inside. Interesting blend of veggies mixed inside like bamboo. Unfortunately I won't be returning. Service was bad and you have to bus your own table- I can handle one or the other. At least they don't ask for tips, deservedly so. Ikea would have been a better choice for dinner after a long day at work.

Courtney Y.

Yelp
SOOOO good! got the beef skewer lemongrass plate & malayasian tea. expect to wait for your food, it comes out freshly made. the beef skewer is ground, marinated meat meaning every bite is juicy and tender. it might seem a little pricey but it's worth every penny. the location is a dream, you can't get anything like it unless you make a drive further out (even then, i'm not sure i've had something so fresh and tasty). right next to the grocery outlet! this is a dream come true for me

Mi J.

Yelp
I ordered catering for 45 people for a party over the summer and the food was FANTASTIC! We had a massive array of dishes and every item was great - everyone commented on how amazing it was. The bahn mi's were the best ones I've had in Seattle!

Edmel R.

Yelp
I remember when this spot used to be the catfish corner. They have lots of parking, and the restaurant is decent for the space. Considering most of the space is hidden for the kitchen, very intimate place, but gives the same vibe as an open coffee shop. Minus the coffee station. I love halal food, and it just fills me up in a different way. While I did not get any food related items, I do recommend stopping by to try it. Halal food is prepared a particular way that you don't notice at first bite, but makes a difference throughout the course of the meal. I did get the mango lassi. I was asking the person behind the counter which drink was best and she was able to help me go with the mango lassi. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the drinks she said. I was not having a sweet tooth, and the mango is a nice refreshing drink. It had mango chunks which was a nice texture to the drink. It's a small family owned business as my friend shared with me. I love local. I love supporting my fellow south seattle folks. I appreciate the spot as I don't see too many halal places (or maybe I'm just not looking). Nonetheless, great service, food smelled amazing, and a wonderful spot to grab a drink and meet a friend or dinner with a friend. I have to go back to try their food!

Samar K.

Yelp
Great food! This was our first time having halal Vietnamese food in Seattle while on vacation. We had a diverse group of people of different ages that we had ordered to-go food for. I am happy to report that all of us loved all of the food that we ordered! I personally loved the honey shrimp, but the chicken satay, cham bao, pho and char kway teow noodles were all enjoyed by the group. I would've added pics but the food was devoured too quickly for any good pics :)

Rehan Ahmed S.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambience! Loved the affordability, quality and flavor. The place is small, neat and amazing! You can sit down and eat with your friends, absolutely love the decor and arrangement. It's all halal and amazing! Definitely must try..

Rabab I.

Yelp
Delicious halal Cham food! There aren't many places like these in WA that cater to halal options. The beef pho was flavorful, very similar to the Indonesian style Bak So. We also got short ribs which were packed with flavor, and grilled shrimp which was also delicious. Chicken satay was my personal favorite, definitely would recommend trying it! The place itself is cozy, sort of cafe-like style. If there's a crowd though it does get cramped. Can't wait to go back and try out other options!

Maryam A.

Yelp
While searching for Halal places for visitors, I came across this restaurant in Renton. It doesn't look like much outside, but once you enter, you'll be blown away by the menu options and the colourful inside. It's like a cross of Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indian and Thai hence there are so many options. Every item that we ordered was delicious. Don't forget to grab some sauces and a drink or two! Out of all the things we ordered, the short rib plate was my favourite and the Green Thai Tea is a lovely cross between jasmine tea and Thai tea.

Aivy H.

Yelp
The phrase "not to sweet" is used in Vietnam to compliment a drink to on it flavor and I can say that that is how I feel about their mango drink. Refreshing and creamy! The chicken teriyaki very oniony.. its good if you're in to that. The chicken itself was really delicious and has a good char to it. Wish there was more sauce though. The presentation of the restaurant and food is absolutely beautiful. I wish I went with more people to get the experience of trying more variety of food but this review is solely based on the chicken teriyaki and Mango lassi.

Long N.

Yelp
Today we decided to visit a random Asian restaurant serves cuisine we haven't had before and found this place. The pictures showed what ordered and my thoughts about them, except the black rice pudding which is so tasty and rich. Overall I'm happy with the foods and will come back to try other dishes. However service needs to be improved, which is why I deducted 1 point. We had to ask for water which i think was quite ridiculous. Also, since the restaurant is new and we're the only people sitting there, they should have checked on us to see how we were and whether we enjoyed the foods. That would leave greater first impression beside the foods.

H M.

Yelp
Amazing halal food and such a hidden spot. The short ribs is where it's at and wash it down with some boba.

Tina E.

Yelp
Oh my gosh! I had one of the most delicious and gorgeous sandwiches ever! I had Salima Specialties' chicken wrap. This warm sandwich has two wrappers. The outer wrap is a fresh leaf (perhaps a banana leaf?) and underneath is a luscious chicken sandwich with pickled shredded veggies plus bits of deep fried onion wrapped with a fried flatbread. Dee-licious! It comes with a delectable dipping sauce. The grilled dark meat chicken nuggets are the real deal -- not processed chicken like that offered elsewhere. Salima Specialties is located near a Grocery Outlet store so it's handy to go shopping and then reward yourself with a darn good sandwich. Go get it. I think you'll love it, too.

Adriana V.

Yelp
Salima Specialties is an all around 5/5 establishment. Their food, their decor, and their friendly staff - 5 stars! I had the beef short rib plate for lunch. It came with 3 short ribs, 2 fried eggs, papaya salad, their house special sauce, all over a bed of rice. For $19.99, the portion was huge, considering how pricey short ribs are at other restaurants. I will be back soon to try items off of their street food menu.

Yelp
A good variety of Southeastern Asian cuisine. Nice customer service. Recommend the Teh Tarik, which was quite delicious. Banh mi and pho are available as alternatives to the street foods. Order in advance online since there is limited seating inside. Catering available if requested in advance. Parking was simple.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this place out. Everything was on par and the service was great and received our order timely. We will definitely go there again.

Yelp
Really good pho. Also, If you're looking for halal Malaysian cuisine, they made a really good Mee Mamak and Kuey Teow.

Yelp
I've heard about Salima Specialties from lots of people, my partner, my students, etc. so when I decided to pop in despite NOT being hungry, I was excited. It wasn't bad, I really want to preface this review with that. I just think I got the wrong stuff. I ordered the cham bao and it just wasn't my jam, there was peas, carrots, quail egg, ground meat, etc. the flavors didn't meld well for my palette but I could see why others would like it. I also ordered the taro fries, I thought it would be savory not sweet (again, I didn't order the right thing) and while they were good, they were sweet and the honey it came with was extra sweet. My friend got the skewered chicken plate and it looked good. My partner recommend the pork plate and from photos that looked good too. So again, I came in not hungry and ordered the wrong thing. I would come back to try the rice dishes. Service was fine, it did take awhile to get our food despite it not being busy.

Yelp
Go here. There is food. Get some and eat it. A cornicopia of items to try (and re-try) for a either a simple meal, quick snack, or mere indulgence. Cham Bao (steamed bun) is beyond reproach. As is the "Signature" Chili Sauce and Green Chutney. There is a couple of untried items which look well made (anyone say Halal Chix Satay? Oxtail? Lumpia?) There is some criticism of this new establishment, and I would expect the chef to dial-in (or omit) as more services are completed. -Bahn Mi means BREAD, specifically amazing French Baguttes. If the loaves are not that (which they were so not) then don't bother even considering what you put between the slices. There is some amazing actual Bahn Mi sandwiches in Renton. Eat a few of those, then rethink this offering. This Fish Cake was no-no-no and make sure the vegetables with anything you select sing much louder. -Samosa is also so famously done, that to throw one together with the ho-hum filling (frozen veg), invites a demise. -Shrimp Fritters has good breading and halal shrimp (both culinary goodnesses individually) but the Curry Leaf sorely under-represented. Think Onion, Think Bean Sprouts, Think Garlic - Think Mindanao Barrios, not Skyway Grocery Outlet parking lot. -Beef Skewers I would get solely for the delicious Jimica, Carrot, Cham Pickle Slaw that it is served upon. The benefit of a ground beef skewer is that you CAN infuse it with amazing ingredients to transform it to another plane of texture and flavor existance. Play with this more, having merely seasoned ground beef on a skewer leaves us underwhelmed and expectant. And there is desserts. Don't forget to get a dessert!

Yelp
I come to this place and get short ribs every few weeks everything about the meal is perfect and you can consistently taste the effort, flavor, and thought that went into meal! Thank you !

Yelp
We grabbed some sandwiches and baos to go from here. Great prices and flavor choices for sandwiches. Great spot to get items to go for our picnic. They also had other items on the menu worth trying next time!

Yelp
Not understanding all the hype around this place. I assume it's to be supportive of local business but it's not actually very good. There are bugs in the restaurant and the portions are very skimpy for the high price tags. There is deceptive pricing on the menu online and gross over usage of frozen vegetables. I would definitely skip this restaurant and look elsewhere for tastier Vietnamese options.

Yelp
I'm so happy we finally have some good food in our neighborhood!!! I was missing my catfish corner but this slaps. Great chicken satay bahn mí, the viet iced coffee was to die for and the lamb curry with paratha was incredible. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of the best bahn mi sandwiches I've had. My wife had the lemongrass beef and it was fantastic as well. Great mango.lassi. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, clean and the service is excellent. Go support this wonderful establishment!

Yelp
The best honey crabs. The crab bread is the bomb. The only complaints are the portion sizes of the honey crab and greasy chicken samosas, and the lack of fruit sauce for the fried insects. Love coming here, they need to stay open longer.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! A family run establishment serving unique, distinctly flavored dishes, easily making it the best halal restaurant in the entire Seattle area. The chicken satay was grilled perfectly to keep it juicy and seasoning and sauce on top was unlike any ice had at the generic southeast Asian restaurants around town. The oxtail soup was phenomenal with layers of flavors and textures and extremely tender meat. The wings and lemongrass beef banh mi were also quite memorable. Ad long as they keep things consistent and tasty, I'll continue to make the trek from North Seattle to enjoy some Salima's every now and then.

Yelp
The combo meals are especially delicious - from the coconut rice and skewers, to the house speciality sauce and samosas. Small but clean space if you want to dine in. The mango lassi was also delicious. I was going to take a photo of the food but we devoured it too quickly. Great!

Yelp
I happened to be in the neighborhood, did some grocery shopping, and checked out the other stores. How can you ignore a sign that promotes Halal, Pan Asian, Street Food? It sure got My attention!. Helpful staff guided me to a choice of Roti Canai. A sizable piece of Roti to dip into this really tasty lamb curry. They even had WiFi! I may even make a special trip in this direction. I felt guilty having such a treat, and not sharing it with my partner. I didn't even tell her about my lunch there. Attractive interior too.

Yelp
Finally we have a Hala option for Pho. Love their pho and chicken satays. My frequent go to place, my kids love it too
