"Sally Can Wait, a new cocktail bar sporting ’80s-themed interior design with a Latin- and Jewish-inspired menu, has opened in the downtown neighborhood. The spot comes from Matt Friedlander (previously the general manager at Grand Banks) and Zak Snyder (formerly a White Horse Tavern manager). The cocktail list includes frozen drinks like the “Miami Vice,” a half frozen pina colada combined with a strawberry daiquiri. On the food side, there’s a pastrami-spiced roast pork and glazed ham Cuban sandwich, latkes, and a pastrami-spiced mahi mahi reuben, among other dishes." - Emma Orlow

Reserved the place from 8-11 pm on a Friday night. Everything went well. The food, the drinks, the staff were fantastic. Everyone should come and hang here. It's a great place. And make sure you have all their custom cocktails. You can't go wrong with any of them.

This bar is so great - delicious cocktails, wonderful ambience, and most importantly, amazing hospitality. They truly care about the customer, and we had such a great time conversing with Matt at the bar. And did I mention the cocktails are delicious?? Wow!! You need to come here!

#CeliacReviews: Gem of a cocktail bar. Went on a Monday night and the bartender was friendly, patient and knowledgeable (in the way that makes you go, I don’t really need another drink but what the hell). She double-checked all ingredients for me to ensure they were gluten-free. Got some grade-A creative cocktails and had a great time 🍹

I came here with a group of friends a couple of months ago. The bar itself felt bright and airy somehow Miami but still very LES, I don’t know how they did it. And the music selection was perfection - no single genre, no certain decade - just every track was great. As someone who can’t tune out bad music, this is important to me. The service was friendly and attentive and it really seemed like everyone there was happy and got along. So rare these days. Now, the most important thing, the DRINKS… SLAMMING. Just know that once you have their cafe cubano you’ll be ruined for espresso martinis anywhere else. I also had the Miami Vice and it needs its own Grubstreet article declaring it the drink of the summer (Dirty Shirley who?) We also ordered some of the apps and they all hit the spot. The food is better than I was expecting, (how do they get those fries so good??) it’s obvious that a lot of thought and passion has gone into everything there. My one complaint - it’s not in my neighborhood! I’ll definitely be coming back.
