Everything You Need To Eat In London This Summer - London - The Infatuation

"Seize the day—and London’s best pastries—by going on the ultimate bakery crawl. Grab a coffee and cookie croissant from Kuro Coffee at 7am, then walk through Notting Hill’s pretty streets to Layla Bakery. Wait on the benches outside while they prep the counter, roll dough, and sing along to Frank Ocean. When they open at 8am, get as many things as you can carry—they sell out quickly." - daisy meager, jake missing, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, sinead cranna, jake missing

Nice little bakery with a broad variety on pastry. I tried the brownie and one of those round filled croissants. The brownie is perfect for chocolate-lovers who enjoy a really fudgy and chewy brownie. The round croissant was delicious, it had a vanilla custard and jam filling and was partly covered in white chocolate. It was amazing, it had a good size (not too big and therefore overwhelming) and a decent amount of filling.

Notting Hill Bakery is a really beautiful spot, with a lovely display of pastries and baked goods. The staff were super friendly too, which made for a welcoming experience. Unfortunately, I can only give 4 stars. We picked up a loaf and a focaccia, and both were quite disappointing. The focaccia didn’t seem like it was made with a traditional sourdough starter—it tasted more like instant-rising dough, which made it bland and lacking depth. It’s a nice place to stop by, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you’re after really great bread. There are better bakeries in the area.

Right in the centre of Portobello road offering wide variety of baked treats, sweet and savoury and breads. Long lines, good coffee, tried the chocolate cake only it was really dry and cold. I might come back though to try the cheesecake or scones, which was one of their most popular items.

This was a really lovely bakery with items that felt original and looked appealing. I bought some pain au chocolat and this long finger style cake with raspberry and pistachio, I wish I could remember what they were called! Everything was soft, fresh and delicious. They were fast and friendly when serving people and I wish I lived closer to partake in the pastries more often! The display is lovely and if you eat with your eyes then you’ll definitely eat here! Really enjoyed my visit.

Amazing gem in Notting Hill, highly recommended! Such a nice coffee with a tasty cheese cake and a cookie in cosy and comfy atmostphere. Served by a lovely lady called Anna who was super kind and always smiling to customers. Definitely coming back!
