I'm a chef and a huge supporter of Black-owned businesses. Recently, my friends and I were among the first to enter this business, and almost immediately, the service was bad. The bartender was lackadaisical, and that was a sign of things to come. After being seated, we ordered fried calamari. Fifteen minutes later, we were told they were cleaning the fryer, so that dish is not available. Who cleans the fryer after you open for business? Okay, we ordered two curry chicken roti's, and it took so long that I cancelled the order, but all of a sudden, it was ready. After paying $32 for the food, we had had enough of the poor service and warm beer, and we left. Arriving home, my wife and I opened the bag, and to our surprise, the two containers contained a minimal amount of chicken and someone's idea of roti. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the decor. There is no way I could recommend anyone, and I mean anyone, to drink, eat, or set foot in Sally's.
