"Inspired by the aromatic flavors and street foods of Thessaloniki, Greece, this home-grown, fast-casual Greek concept by star chef Jody Adams has quickly caught on as a local favorite. As with any successful fast-casual concept, the crowd is filled with corporate types dipping out for the lunch hour, students, and anyone and everyone looking to get their hands on souvlaki, salads, or the highly stackable baklava crisps. The menu is steeped in tried-and-true flavors: oregano, honey, creamy feta cheese, slow-roasted meats, and plenty of garlic, all of which is sourced as locally as possible. If you're ordering a wrap, your bread is freshly baked and pressed in front of your eyes in about 90 seconds, resulting in a pillowy pita that's fluffy, warm, fresh and flavorful. From there, you can build your own sandwich or salad, or opt for one of the house specialties. The Herc Pita with braised pork shoulder, spicy slaw, spicy whipped feta, and secret sauce is foolproof, as is The George Pita with spicy lamb meatballs and a charred eggplant sauce. And Saloniki has a leg up on other lunch joints with its small cocktail menu that includes a Saloniki Daiquiri and the dangerously drinkable spiced sangria." - Todd Plummer, Shannon McMahon

"While it’s unclear at this point exactly what Jody Adams’ involvement will be in the new restaurant, she is busy overseeing a growing restaurant empire of her own, which includes Trade, Porto in Back Bay, several Saloniki locations, and Greek Street at Time Out Market Boston." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Saloniki Greek is honestly an underrated chain in the Boston area. Came on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, and there was a number of other people around. The space is large and bright, with a variety of seating options for groups of different sizes or individuals just looking for a quick meal. We ordered at the kiosk, grabbed a number, and the employees were quick to bring out our food when it was ready. I got the Peach Lemonade, Braised Pork Pita, and the two of us split the Greek Doughnuts in Caramel & Pistachio for dessert. The texture of the pita was perfect, and the meat and other fillings blended together nicely. The doughnuts came out fresh, and I really enjoyed the crispy outer texture plus the chewiness of the inside. Saloniki hasn't always been my first choice among all the food options in the neighborhood, but after giving it another try, I would definitely come back!

Great food, and fast customer service. We ordered the grilled chicken pita wrap and the souvlaki chicken plate, both of which were good. I thought the "secret" sauce was a little bit too sweet, and there wasn't enough chicken on the souvlaki plate's skewer. All that being said, the experience was good if you want some classic Greek cuisine in Fenway.

The seasonings are on point! Pork shoulder was extremely tender and flavorful. The chicken, delectable. I highly recommend the feta fries - delightfully crispy with hints of olive oil accenting the feta. The manager is super friendly with customers. He also specifically gets better house wine because he doesn’t want to compromise on flavor (and is a great deal for Fenway). We’ll be back!

Easy, quick dining and perfect before an event at Fenway. Everything we ordered was delish and didn’t feel like a quick dining restaurant. Try the grilled chicken pita, feta fries and peach lemonade.

Good food, but slow service and staff that clearly don’t want to be there. Waited 20 minutes + for a chicken pita in a restaurant that was maybe 25% full. When I asked to check on the food the woman at the counter gave me an attitude and said “we’re just busy”. They forgot my drink as well

This place definitely surpassed my expectations. The service was really fast, it wasn't overpriced, and the food was amazing. It was very flavorful, fresh, and they clearly use high-quality ingredients. Their lemonade and limeade is also really good.

Saloniki needs to sort out some staffing at this branch… Waited in a line for a few minutes and was served by a man at the cash register who was completely clueless. With a party of four, he completely entered in the wrong order for three of us. He went read over the whole order at the end and we told him it was wrong and he could not understand even slightly that we wanted different things to what he was reading. After about three minutes of trying to fix it we paid for it and went to find the manager who was just behind him the whole time clearly stressed and ignorant. She was doubting that I was telling the truth about my reciept all being incorrect, but eventually she said she could do a refund. It was game night and the game was starting at this point in 35 mins. We mentioned this, at which point she got quite defensive and rude about the fact that food was taking 20-30 mins from the kitchen anyways. I told her that she needs staff to mention how long food is taking, as is standard when a kitchen is backed up. She continued to keep saying about how this is standard waiting time for dinner in the area. That is definitely true for table service restaurants but this is a quick service, fast causal establishment akin to a Shake shack or Chipotle really. Keep in mind the place was only like 30-40% full inside. So we decided to refund it and get food in the stadium. She wouldn’t stop going on about how 20 mins is standard and was very rude, but did manage to refund everything including drinks which we had already mostly drunk by that point. She also lashed out at a delivery driver who had been waiting the entire time we’d been there and asked for an update, at which point she told him, in a very patronizing way, to go stand quietly and patiently in the corner. Like a 3rd grader. Clearly most of the staff are incompetent, and it starts from the top down clearly. I went on a redemption visit to their Harvard sq branch a few days after. So busy, Not a single seat in the place, but the staff were friendly, efficient, and most importantly the food came in the expected 5-10 min window. Go visit one of their other spots for good food. Do better fenway.
