My friend and I came here for lunch. I highly recommend the jumbo pretzel! It was delicious! Our server was great. I ordered the chicken parm grilled cheese..it hit the spot.

Had a private room birthday party for my wife recently and we couldn't have been happier with he experience. The food was top notch and the service was great. Jules, helped us book the room and put the menu together and was on top of everything. Great time.

This average saloon offers a below-average food experience, but compensates with a solid beer selection. The outdated decor and less-than-appealing country music might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're seeking a casual place with good beer, it could be worth a visit.

Went to dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon as an appetizer. Very cheesy but really had no flavor. For dinner we ordered the chicken parm sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger. We didn’t like the sauce on the sandwich thought it was really sweet. The bacon cheeseburger was small and something I could make at home, nothing special. The bacon on it was good. We ordered the fried cheesecake which I thought was good.

Food was amazing, fresh and delicious! We had the cheesy Tater tots as an app and they were cooked to perfection! Scallops were fresh and melt in your mouth yummy, I had it with the agave lime and it was so very tasty! My friend had the fiesta platter with shrimp, she loved every bite and such a big portion she took half of it home. Nice atmosphere, gets loud when the place fills up but truly a great place to eat and grab a drink!

I stopped in here on a whim with a friend while we were killing some time. We are at the bar and both got wings and fries. My friend got the smoked wings with the 151 sauce and sweet potato fries and I got Jerk BBQ wings with Truffle fries. The fries were definitely shareable, though we each crushed our own. It was quiet on a Tuesday night and we got our food quickly. The bartenders and patrons all seemed nice. I'd go back again.

The food is over priced and the female is very rude. She would yell at you for her lack of knowledge because she doesn’t know how to set up Apple Pay. She yelled at people as if they wouldn’t pay hit it was 100% her lack of knowledge. She should never sell anything if she doesn’t know how to set up payment but put the blame on people . So very abusive. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

Just had a great lunch!! Food was great, service was great!! I had the bacon and clam flatbread because it sounded interesting. It was fantastic!!

Nice spot in west Chester to grab a Guinness! The drinks are good, especially the orange crush, but $13 is a little pricey. The Guinness was amazing. Genuinely a great Guiness!! Happy we were able to swing by!

Really good selection of mezcal & tequila at their tequila bar!!! Kara is amazing bartender, recommend really good mezcal & made us amazing drinks!!!

Had a wonderful evening with my husband. Beautiful early summer night in West Chester. Outdoor seating. Smoked wings were amazing- finger-licking sauce! Ribs were literally-literally fall off the bone. Hefty portion of fresh cut fries and creamy coleslaw. Beer was cold and good selection.

messed up my pickup order. Gave me a regular cheesesteak instead of a chicken cheesesteak that I ordered. And it's not even good!!

Cold food and hostile service. Not sure why we were treated so coldly, we didn't even complain... just paid and got out of there as soon as possible. The calamari at the table next to us also smelled weeks old.

Tldr... Bar decent but DON'T EAT HERE!!! Bar is good and bartenders are excellent. Food is very poor from what I've had. Knew it wasn't too good from previous visits. Today wanted a snack due to afternoon beers and dinner at home. Ordered boneless wings with BBQ jerk. Came out with no BBQ and some dry seasoning - requested what I had ordered. Came back out at least 5 minutes later (bartender had to go get it) and came out colder and much worse!

This place was warm and inviting. Perfect cozy place for a chilly fall night. Visited on a Saturday and needless to say it was very busy. Nice crowd young and old. Service was impeccable tonight (young blonde very very nice). We started with fried pickles 9/10. Loved the choice of IPAs and their old fashioned was nice and STRONG! Food was ok 7/10 we had a burger and pizza. We were excited to get the trifecta dessert. Funnel cake fries were pretty good but pass on the fried cheesecake. Def would return :)

Food is usually on point. I only had one situation where they sent me food that was overcooked. Their burgers are very good!!

Made it in time for the late night menu. We ordered the smoked wings 151 style, along with the onion strings. The food was great. The bartender was very friendly and made me and my brother one of their house old fashioned drinks. It is served with rock candy as a stirrer. There are lots of televisions here, and plenty of seating indoor and out front of the building. It is a very clean place. I have been here on numerous occasions and have never had an issue. Everyone is always nice no matter what time of day it is. The location is great and is surrounded by plenty of other businesses.

We got a cheesesteak with fried onions, sauteed mushrooms and provolone cheese. The roll was substandard but we cover that in the video. The meat was good but there was not much of it. The fried onions and sauteed mushrooms were very tasty but took over the cheesesteak. Is this a not enough meat or too many fried onions and mushrooms problem? I think it's not enough meat. With all of that said, it's not a bad bar cheesesteak. Jill was amazing.

This review is for the food truck that was at levate brewing in west Chester pa today. I had a cheese burger with provolone, lettuce and tomatoe. Literally one step above dog food. Never been to the bar location and certainly have no interest based on the food truck experience. I hope @levante does a better job at vetting their food truck vendors in the future to pair with their awesome beers!

If i could give a one start review i would. Horrible staff. Need training on how to handle customers.

One of my new favorite spots for a casual night out. Appetizers are delicious and there are good happy hour specials!

Came here with my husband several times to watch Phillies games... staff is always friendly and accommodating and food is actually pretty good. The truffle fries and wings we had were great. Definitely a good local spot to watch a game.. just watch out for the college crowd once it gets late as it will be hard to watch the TVs once it gets packed. Recommend for sure!

This was the WORST FOOD I ever had the pot stickers where FROZEN. completely frozen. Duo filet was not even filet in any way. The service was just own her own I felt bad for her truley it seemed like no one was helping her out at all. She was great though. Also we called a head yet the sat us on wet seating outside. Ik they where trying their best for the seating but my seat was still soaked after they "dryed " it for me.

Third time I've gone there. Although the chicken dish (chicken breast, sauteed spinach, crab imperial, and sauce with sides of vegetables) was pretty darn good, my waitress made what I would have to say is THE WORST John Daly I've ever had, then when she asked if I wanted another and I said maybe in a bit, she made me another crappy one. I'll go back but stick to draft beer and the like.

We ordered carry out when we were in town visiting family. Food was good. Servings were decent sized except for the mahi that was pretty small. Everything tasted good.

Solid bar food, daily specials, good service, and friendly bartenders. Accommodating to kids as well.

First visit stopping by to listen to live music outside. Ordered drinks and the Chicken Tenders of the "Shareables" menu. We received 3 very, very dry average size pieces of chicken. They were hardly edible and surprised that three chicken tenders are considered shareable for two people. Thankfully there was sauce to dip them in. That is all we got, but we were certainly not impressed. On a good note, the Rod Stewart impersonator is why stopped for drinks. He was entertaining.

Went here with my family for Mother's Day and for the all you can eat crab legs. The old bay fries and tater tots were delicious almost had no room for the actual crab legs. Great outdoor environment and scenery. A great place to go to hangout with friends

I only went here on a bar night and it was jumping with lots of young people. The music was okay I don't remember it being a reason why I stayed or left. I would come here for dinner or a lunch too on the weekend! If you're part of an older crowd and just looking for a Friday night drink with friends I'd steer clear of here! Went for all you can eat crab, was sold out less than 2 hours in... feels like a bait and switch for sure..

I was excited by the amount of options on the menu but ended up getting a taco salad while my mom got a cheese burger. The taco salad looked like toppings for nachos minus the lettuce. I've never seen anything like it. Just a few pieces of chicken sliding around with greasy peppers. There was no cheese on my moms burger and it was also really small. My mom never finishes and entire burger but she did with this one and wasn't really satisfied. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they were only doing take out for COVID19 but we've been getting a lot of local take out and most people are stepping it up.

A college sports bar with unopened bottles of whiskey as its decor. I visited this place out of curiosity. I heard they had a good selection of whiskies and cocktails, and their food menu seemed appealing, so I decided to give it a try. The good: The food. I actually thought it was pretty good for a place that is so obviously a college bar and hangout. The first thing I thought when looking at the menu was Where are the bbq meats? But then as you read through it, you realize that they actually intersperse the bbq throughout their offerings. Pretty clever. My wife and I shared the breakfast burger, the spicy bacon dip, and their hot wings. Also, they have sweet potato fries!!! Not bad at all folks. We enjoyed it. The bad: The bar. It's a poser and not what it claims to be. For a place that touts itself as a whiskey bar, one doesn't get the feeling they are in a whiskey bar. When you look around at the bottles on the back bar, hardly any of them have been opened, with exception to some college bar staples such as Jack Daniel's, Jameson's, and Jim Beam. Sure, they sell a bit of Bulleit but who doesn't. What's worse is that the bar staff have zero knowledge or interest in whiskies. Very disappointing. The beer selection is solid but everyone has that. I did find it strange that they sell Natural Light. What a great way to undermine your whiskies and craft beers. Where they really drop the ball is with their cocktails--just awful and boring. There's no sense of adventure or progressiveness to any of them. It's also very evident that they swiped a few cocktails from a neighboring place. All in all, 2 stars. I'd actually give it 2 1/2.

Very, very loud indoor seating. Too many people in our party (10) to be seated outdoors. But we were able to be seated immediately so that was awesome. Excellent service and the employees really hustle and earn tips. I ordered the brisket sandwich and it came with house made chips and 2 dill pickle chips. Fantastic portion size of brisket for the $14 price. Saloon 151 sauce was tangy without being outrageously spicy. Not an intimate dining place but great for friends on a night out.

The Enchiladas suck ass but the Beer is cold. Quizzo on Tuesday's night would be cool if that loser DJ Romeo wasn't hosting it....dude started over 45 mins after the advertised time. C'mon dude, no one has that kinda time on a work night. Get rid of Lil Romeo !!!

Some of the reviews of this place are a joke. We get it, you're not cool. Go piss and moan to someone who cares. I love this place. Been here multiple times, both for dinner and late night, and have never had a bad experience. The burgers are great, and they really let you customize them to the way you like it if you want. The portion of fries you get are pretty generous all things considered, and the prices are honestly good for what you get. Add in some dope drinks and a chill atmosphere and you get a place you'll constantly be coming back to. What I love most about this place is how much they support our men and women in uniform. You can have my hard earned money any day of the week. Much respect and I will be back soon.

Excellent first visit last night. Prices can get quite high in West Chester, but our stop at Saloon 151 was fantastic. Happy Hour on beer and $6 wings (10). Found a spot at the bar for 3 of us and Kim took great care of us. I went with the Jerk BBQ option per her suggestion and they were fanfriggintastic. Juicy, yet very crisp. Plump and messy, just the way I like them. Didn't get a chance to order more grub, since we were on a mission to hit up a couple other spots, but I am a big fan on first impression. My apologies to Kim for spilling some of that Stateside Vodka you had me sample. Soooo smooth. Wow.

Horrible F'ing service. We sat at our table outside for 15 minutes and were walked by twice. Never even took a drink order. Got up, returned the menus to the hostess stand, and nobody even acknowledged us then either. Absolute disgrace.

Taco salad was all sour cream no meat, Chesapeake flatbread was all tomato some pathetic liquid cheese & 3 small crab crumbles & served on a large pita chip. Very disappointed. Waitress was sweet though

So I will never go back to this place again and was a frequent customer and love the food. We came in for my GFs daughter's 21st birthday. The bartender (Gina D) decided to turn on the Disney soundtrack the minute we walked in. No one was rowdy or annoying. Sunday night and all were fine. I stayed behind and the minute the last girl walked out the bartender went back to dance music. What kind of service is this? This is how they treat customers? Just horrible. Was there earlier in the evening and there was a girl dancing around (clearly intoxicated) like she was at a dead show being just annoying. Music did not change for her. Until this experience, it was my favorite place in West Chester.....

Came here for drinks and dinner after a lacrosse tournament. Felt the need to do this review to highlight the fantastic sangria that one of the bartenders went above and beyond to make us, since this was not on the bar menu. However she did it, the sangria was the best we've tasted. Unfortunately we forget her name, so thank you mystery bartender with the long blond hair and pink highlights! Appetizers and entrees were very good also.

I wish I would have read the reviews prior to visiting. My husband and I go out each week to do our part in helping to support local small business during these Covid times. I will say that the food (burger, wings, chicken sammy) and drinks were great and the service was as well. The atmosphere and the what seem to be the frequent patrons (based on their interactions with the staff and each other) is definitely why I will not return. There were derogatory terms used for LGBTQ community and people of color. Now I know you typically can't hold an establishment accountable for what their patrons do or say, it's evident to me based on prior reviews that Saloon 151 has created an environment where things such as those that we overheard are welcomed.

Great atmosphere. Cajun Shrimp Pasta is AMAZING! Great flavor. Drinks are good also. I had 2 Grapefruit Moscow Mules - delicious!

Very disappointed in the service and drinks. We came in on a Sunday evening during NFL games so yes, it was busy. The waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for whiskey prices and was aggravated when a member of our party ordered a drink that was not on the menu. We asked for water and the waitress huffed at us. We won't be coming back anytime soon.

We ordered takeout from here during Covid-19. We were really happy with most of our meals. My 14 yo and I went burgers since it was a bar, we were not overly impressed, but the entrees that the rest of our family got were awesome. The wings were meaty and very tasty. The mussels were incredible and my daughter loved her salmon. My oldest (16) eats like a horse and couldn't finish the BBQ brisket sandwich. We will definitely be coming back. I didn't rate it 5 stars because we did takeout. If the service matches the food then it is worthy of 5.

3rd time here. Always got quick and friendly service. Place has a cool look and feel to it. We were there on a Friday, a Saturday, and a Wed night. The 2 times on the weekend were during the summer months, Gay St was closed to vehicle traffic, all the restaurants were also serving outside tables. There was a live band on one of the nights, possibly both. The place was packed. Tonight, Wed, it got full at 7 or so. Nachos, traditional wings, a turkey club (monster size btw) and a double bacon cheeseburger. Burger was soooo tasty. Like it was cooked on a charcoal grill. Yuengling is always a great choice, even better when it's ice cold!! Thanks for serving us Diana!!

I have lived in West Chester for the past four years and have tried the majority of the restaurants on Gay and Market Street. Saloon 151 has great food, great atmosphere and a great staff. They have live music and specials everyday of the week. I want to give a shout-out to one of the managers, Jill. She has served on me a handful of times and she has a great knowledge of the menu and all around restaurant business. She has made my dining experience fantastic every I'm there. Can not recommend her and this establishment more.

I was expecting a lot more for the price. This is the size of my patty on my quesadilla burger. Food is only okay for those prices. I have to agree with everyone else about the burgers being burnt on the outside but pink on the inside.

Soild beer selection and they have natural lite on tap if you are feeling nostalgic for your college days: I will warn you that it turns into a college bar after 10pm on the weekends The food is typical bar affair but it's decent .nothing that's going to blow you away The staff is friendly and pretty quick on getting you drinks and food out. ( only sat at the bar )

I ordered the shrimp tacos because their Advertisement on instagram said half off tacos today. When I picked them up they were $14. The hostess said that only "only land tacos". If I would have known this I would have order chicken. Better advertising would had been appreciated.

My friend and I were looking for a nice place for dinner, and after looking at the menu online we were very excited! Lots of options and a great variety of foods. We decided on the chicken nachos to start, and they were horrible! Barely any cheese, not to mention it came from a machine. Chicken was dryer than the desert and it was loaded with an unnecessary amount of Jalapeños. Next onto the entree, we ordered a Philly cheesesteak flatbread. The "flatbread" was thinner than a piece of paper and split in half when I picked it up. Took it to go and threw it out as soon as we left. Overall, was not impressed with the food whatsoever, but our waitress was very nice! Strictly meant for drinks, don't go looking for food.

Stick strictly to the drinks if you're thinking about ordering from here. Not a place made for a decent meal if you and your family is hungry, lesson learned.

Ordered on doordash, upon receiving the delivery I was missing an item from the order. The wings were alright, I enjoyed them but mediocre at best. Same goes for the sweet potato fries. We ordered some biscuits and at 3.50 a piece they are pretty overpriced, not to mention there was almost no flavor and required everyone to add something to them to be enjoyable. The mozzarella moons were pretty good but they are basically flat mozzarella sticks so wasn't too impressed. The Mac and cheese had almost zero flavor, and was pretty akin to eating the pasta plain. Although enjoyable, and I'm not usually in the area, there are plenty of other options. Also, when a whole portion of your order is missing and the store is closed by the time the food comes, that can be pretty frustrating. For what it is, the food is slighter more expensive than what I would expect but not outrageous. Again not being from the area, I'm not very well in the loop. But it appears a social media page for the restaurant posted about their political views. I don't believe a restaurant should be rated based of if their owners or managers political views, however, the experience was pretty abysmal. So I'll be rating them 2/5

Best wings in West Chester - their smoked wings fall off the bone. Truly great. Good beer selection and great whiskey/bourbon selection. Great place to watch a game. They also have a food truck that I used to cater a high school graduation party, they were fantastic to work with, and the partygoers loved the food.

The only whiskey bar in town, this is a nice gem/compliment to all the restaurant choices in WC. The service was great, the barmaid was​ attentive, and a pleasant experience was had by all.....which was just me. What intrigued me was the really good food. Now I can only speak to what I ordered but the basic burger I ordered was AWESOME....not overwhelming, very tasty, cooked right...and the home made chips were a nice compliment. Oh, I hear all the food is "home-made." To go back to the drinks, my martini was filled to the rim.... THANK YOU...I will return...

We ordered takeout due to pandemic and such and wanna do as lil touch as we can. Easy. Food was done in a half hour and easy pickup. Everything was amazing and yummy. I took a star off because we asked for some extra condiments on the burgers and they didn't put them on. But otherwise very yummy. The saloon burger is insanely good.

**This is a 1-star for food only**. I asked for well done and literally got a raw burger it almost made me throw up. They had my order ready in 10 minutes which makes it obvious the line cook was rushing everything. Pretzel bites were average as hell. This place has a decent vibe to it if all you care about is drinking but that's about it. I bet their kitchen and hood is absolutely disgusting.
