Yelp
A solid 3 star spot based on the food alone. We ordered 4 tacos, one was great, one was good, and two were pretty meh. I liked that they had the option to order tacos as a duo, trio, or as a plate, though the pricing didn't change as you got more or ordered a combo. There also weren't free chips, which is always a bummer, because what is dining at a Mexican restaurant without the chips?
We ordered a taco duo and the perfect plate with the intention of having two tacos each and sharing the rice and beans. When the food came they also dropped off two salsas and some crema - unsure if this comes with all taco orders or just the plate.
Great taco was the Taco De Pescado, this one was full of flavor and had plenty of crispy fish. Good taco was the Taco De Carne Asada, this one was loaded with beef and had a touch of spice, on its own it needed a little something more, but a spoonful of salsa and crema did just the touch to elevate this one.
Meh tacos were both of the shrimp tacos, neither was really showing much flavor. The grilled shrimp taco got most of its flavor from the grill marks on the onion, but as soon as the flavor of the grill evaporated, which was very quick, the flavor was gone. Veggies for sure could've used some salt. The salsa and crema helped this one out a little bit, but it wasn't a $7 taco.
Service was good and food came out quick. There was limited outdoor seating as well as "indoor seating" that still felt outside due to the wide open windows. We opted for the inside as it still felt outdoors, but gave you shade and more space.
The vibe here was colorful and vibrant, with liveliness from the street and music.
Wouldn't come out of my way to come back here, but if I did come back I'd order the Taco De Pescado and then try something non-taco related.
