Salsa's Taqueria Review - Downtown - Mammoth - The Infatuation

"Salsa’s Taqueria is the perfect spot to pick up a quick taco, torta, or burrito before your next hike. While there are small seating areas both indoors and on the sidewalk outside, it’s best to order your food to go. Their lunch options are all excellent, but the breakfast burrito, which is stuffed with eggs, beans, salsa, cheese, tater tots, and your choice of meat, is the best thing on the menu. It’s also super close to Distant Brewing, where they’ll let you bring your burrito over to pair with your craft beer for a “breakfast” of champions." - Danielle Bauter

Found a great local spot! They offer a variety of sauces and sides, and you can enjoy unlimited chips. The food tasted fresh and clean, and I didn’t feel heavy or tired afterward. Prices are a bit higher than regular Mexican restaurants, but the quality, flavor, and atmosphere definitely make it worth it. A full five-star experience! Full Review: I discovered a great local Mexican restaurant. They offer a wide variety of sauces and sides, and you can enjoy unlimited chips along with your meal. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall flavor felt clean and healthy. Even after eating, I didn’t feel heavy or tired, which made me think they don't rely heavily on artificial seasonings to boost flavor — a nice change from many other places. The price is a bit higher compared to typical Mexican restaurants, but considering the lively atmosphere, the wide selection of menu items, the fresh ingredients, and the great taste, it absolutely deserves a five-star rating.

The atmosphere is nice, and the employees are welcoming and friendly. Menu is big and easy to read. There are plenty of tables and on a Sunday afternoon, several tables were taken. The food was good, I had three tacos, shredded chicken, pastor, and carnitas. The pastor had great flavor but was tough to chew, it was not fatty meat, it was either dried out or fried a bit too much. The carnitas was good as well but a little dried out. The flavor profile was great on both. The chicken taco was my favorite, the meat was moist and lightly seasoned. You could taste the flavor coming through but still taste the chicken. I would come here again, but for the money there are better options. The salsa bar was big with more options than most taquerias. I had a medium and a spicy salsa. The flavors were very good, you could taste the rehydrated peppers in the spicy salsa with a bit of smoke. Again, not disappointed at all, better than a lot of taquerias, but not my personal favorite.

Very fresh and presented nicely. Salsa is not too hot. Lots of flavor, I ordered the chicken fajitas very flavorful a lot for your money. Also had carne asada on fries with cheese. Tasty. Will eat here again. Support the small business owners ✔️🇺🇲

I enjoyed this lunch spot! Varied salsa bar with the yummiest pickles onions and more. Their tacos are also delicious and well priced. Fish taco was not perfect too. Their plates are also nice, but not as worth as the burritos or tacos in my opinion. Meat is not dry. The guac is subpar and tastes watery. Interior is spacious and modern. Casual vibe.

OK let's see... My favorite things were the chips and salsa, (loved the smokey salsa) the pickled veggies, the street tacos, (especially the al pastor) and the quesabirria tacos. So pretty much everything I tried was my favorite! Great job guys. ❤️🔥🌶️🌮🙏🏻🙌🏼 PS. I ate like a swine but no regrets!
