Salt & Iron Brunch We had a fantastic brunch at Salt & Iron! The service was amazing—attentive, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. The food was flavorful and delicious across the board. While the crab Benedict was a bit soggy for our taste, everything else truly hit the mark. Our favorite part? The champagne bucket complete with both grapefruit and orange juice—such a fun and classy touch that made our brunch extra special. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We did the Seattle Restaurant Week menu as well as the bone marrow appetizer. The restaurant itself is gorgeous - the perfect upscale date night vibes. Parking can be challenging - as it’s all free street parking and it can be busy in the downtown area. Staff were above and beyond friendly, helpful with the menu, and provided great service. The SRW menu was fabulous, every dish was packed with flavor. The steak was cooked perfect - I’m a rare cooked steak gal and they nailed it!

We came here for a Valentine's dinner and it was a great experience overall. It was packed because of the occasion, but the food was great, we loved the drinks too and good service. Dessert was really good. Overall, I don't have any complaints.

The first words when we entered the restaurant was ‘how can we help you?’ My husband was a little stunned by the host because normally, it would include welcoming words or asking for many in the party. I answered by saying we have a reservation. Honestly, this can be really nothing bothering for someone, but as a customer, I felt like that was not the proper way to welcome. Putting that aside, the experience at this restaurant was kind of disappointing. The steak tartare was greasy, and the bone marrow was just average. The oysters were also nothing special. It seemed like they didn't even know how to properly set the table or place the silverware. Of the last two main dishes, the seafood pot was the worst. I'm glad I didn't order the medium size; it had way too many sausages and potatoes, and it didn't taste good at all. I left most of it, but the server didn't even ask about it. Overall, it's overrated, and I will never come back.

Google
The location of the restaurant is beautiful, as is its decor. The staff is highly trained and helpful. We ordered calamari and bread as starters—both were delicious. For the main course, we had seafood risotto, which was a delight. The atmosphere was not noisy, so we were able to have a relaxed conversation. Overall, a very good experience.

Went here previously and had an issue. Manager resolved it so gave it another chance. It’s obvious this place takes pride in excellence. I’ll recommend it to anyone that visits and locals should add it to their list. Wonderful service, excellent food, just a great night. I really appreciate how they don’t rush you. I’m quite impressed and hope to come back soon.

Google
Modern steakhouse that truly delivers—rare 5-star experience. It’s not often I give out a full 5-star rating, but Salt & Iron in Edmonds definitely earned it. From the quality of the food to the thoughtful menu pairings, this spot impressed me from start to finish—despite a rocky start to the service. Ambiance: 5/5 The vibe is modern, classy, and energetic—perfect for a Friday night dinner. The lighting is warm, the seating is comfortable, and there’s a great mix of intimate tables and lively energy from the bar and open kitchen. Definitely a good place for date nights or small group gatherings. Authenticity: 5/5 While it’s a modern American steakhouse, I appreciated the intentional pairings and fresh ingredients that made each dish feel unique and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell this place isn’t just putting food on a plate—it’s curated. Flavor: 5/5 Everything we ordered was on point. We originally ordered the fried calamari, but our server recommended we try the sautéed calamari instead—and I’m glad we did. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For the main, we had a surf and turf combo featuring the New York strip and shrimp, paired with mashed potatoes and grill asparagus. The shrimp was cooked just right with a good hit of garlic. We also ordered a Beet & Spinach salad to share. The salad was super fresh and balanced, Every bite of the entrée had that satisfying flavor harmony you hope for. Cost: 4.5/5 Prices are what you’d expect for a modern steakhouse, but the quality more than justifies the price. We didn’t feel like anything was overpriced for what we received. Great value for a full, satisfying meal with upscale presentation. Service: 4.5/5 Service started off slow since the place was packed, but once we were greeted by our server, the experience turned around quickly. She was attentive, gave honest recommendations, and checked in at all the right times without being intrusive. Final Verdict: 5/5 Salt & Iron checks all the boxes—great food, creative dishes, solid service, and a polished vibe. It’s rare for me to leave a steakhouse this satisfied, but this one nailed it. Highly recommend for a date night or a celebration dinner. Will definitely be coming back.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. Did not disappoint. Stuffed French toast was a wonderful choice. I was pleasantly surprised by the biscuits & gravy with jalapeño corn gravy. The corned beef hash was a perfect blend of spicy, tangy, and beautiful color.

Yelp
We came here today with some friends for brunch. We had made reservations for 11:45 and were seated promptly. The place was busy but not packed so I'm not sure how necessary reservations are. Our waitress was great with being friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We started with some cinnamon rolls to share. I wasn't that hungry so I got the jalapeño cheese biscuits and candied bacon (which I shared with my husband). He got the stuffed French toast. Our friends got the burger and steak eggs Benedict. The food came out quickly, with the cinnamon rolls coming first. This was hands down one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. It was like a croissant and a cinnamon roll had a baby. It was crispy and flaky and so delicious. It wasn't overly sweet which I appreciated. It had a very tangy cream cheese frosting on top with some caramel on top of that. This is a must get and I would come back just to get it again. The biscuits were good but so filling that I could only eat one. The bacon was delicious and I wish I hadn't agreed to split it with my husband so I could have had more. My husband liked his French toast and said it was delicious without being too sweet despite all the ingredients. Our friends like their meals, especially the burger. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood restaurant in downtown Edmonds. We made long drive here planning a rare family gathering, secured reservations with plans to have plenty of of time to walk to the terminal and watch the sunset, all was for not. First our party of five had to wait for more than 10' for our table. That was an ominous sign of all that was to come, waited all to long for our waitress to come and take our drink and appetizers orders. Our appetizers came and it took forever for our drinks to come than forever for waitress to come for our dinner order and of course you can predict the service with regard for dessert and check... as a result we missed sunset. Overall way below par service from the waitress I was in favor of 10% tip for out 500 dollar bill but my wife felt generous and did 18%. At least the food was decent, not amazing but acceptable but combined with the sorry service don't recommend at all and we surely won't be back!

Chris S.

Yelp
You know, I really love this place, but here's what knocks it down a couple of stars for me: First is the fact that there is almost never any walk in availability. It's all reservations and if you decide to try and go on a whim, you'll definitely be dining elsewhere or waiting an hour plus. The second part is that they can't ever seem to cook their burger right. It always comes out piping hot, dry and so overcooked the burger meat is gray. Other than that, most of their food is good though some dishes are really hit or miss and their menu changes so much that if you liked something, chances are it'll be gone next time and they won't prepare it for you again even if all of the ingredients are still on the menu (Looking at you crispy fingerling potatoes). There was also that one time there was a host (teenage boy) who was very unhelpful when we were trying to get a table and didn't even offer to take our names down so we could wait for the next table to open.

Yelp
They always seem to bring it up a notch with new specials. Delicious food with great company! Wonderful service and great ambiance. Here are some dishes we enjoyed on Father's Day weekend... * STUFFED FRENCH TOAST - challah, banana pastry cream, strawberry balsamic glaze and candied hazelnuts * SPICY POPCORN CHICKEN - buttermilk-marinated fried chicken thigh, jalapeño, corn & sausage gravy, poached eggs, three cheese blend and cheesy grits * CORNED BEEF HASH - house corned beef, stoneground mustard, three cheese blend, two poached eggs, habanero hollandaise and paprika breakfast potatoes And washed it all down with a Rosemary/Blood Orange Cooler

Yelp
The food and service here is amazing! We had reservations for 7 and had a great time. The pork chop was huge and absolutely delicious. Also the New York steak was equally huge, tender and packed with flavor. We also had the salmon which was fresh and cooked to perfection. And don't forget the Brussels sprout appetizer which was amazing! Prices are a little high but the quality was equally high and well worth it. Great place for a romantic dinner for two or a welcoming place for a group. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
We met up with friends for happy hour here. I got Baked Oysters and shared the S&I Burger, Chicken Wings, and The Dreamsicle cocktail with my bf. Everything was tasty. I really liked the burger, especially the shoestring fries. I just thought the topping on the Baked Oysters was a bit too much for me. I think it was some kind of creamy whipped spinach cheese thing, and it wasn't my kind of texture. Service was excellent. Would love to come and try more things.

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday here today and really enjoyed Salt and Iron. They have a fantastic Brunch menu and there's something for everyone. In addition, they have a great brunch cocktail menu along with oysters on the half shell. Service was friendly and prompt, and food was quickly served after ordering- but we were glad we had a reservation as it was quite busy! The best of all, they knew it was a birthday celebration and they brought out a delicious cinnamon role with a candle! Can't wait to return for dinner sometime soon.

Yelp
Wow!! I had been here for brunch which is wonderful, but had always wanted to try dinner. Our server was amazing!!! The food was sooo good!! And this spot is cute and cozy!! Highly recommend for a girls boozie brunch or a date night!

Yelp
Delicious food! Excellent service! Wonderful ambiance! Four of us had an early dinner here on Father's Day. It was a wonderful experience! For starters we had the fried calamari which was tender and lightly coated with flour and perfectly deep fried golden brown. It's was delicious! Our second starter was a Kim Chee & Onion Dip. It was special appetizer and it was super delicious! Everyone at the table loved it especially with the homemade potato chips! If it's ever on the menu, order it! My mom and her Grandson shared the 18 ounce boneless ribeye with asparagus and mashed potatoes. They loved this! The marbled beef was cooked to a perfect tenderness that mom and Grandson thought was super delicious! The chimichurri sauce was wonderful on top of the steak. The garlic mashed potatoes were super creamy and had a wonderful garlic flavor. The grilled asparagus was tender and perfectly cooked. Mom and her grandson loved it and would order again! My lovely wife had the Steak Salad and she loved it! Tender juicy slices of steak on top of fresh tender greens. The dressing she said was wonderfully delicious! I had the Alaskan Halibut and it was delicious! The artichoke sauce went perfectly with this mild tasting fish. I loved every bite! For dessert we shared a baked Alaska. Rich dark Chocolate ice cream with a meringue covering. Very rich and delicious! Words don't do this place justice, so please look at the pictures and let your eyes make the rest of your body yearn to go to Salt and Iron. Look

Yelp
Love this little gem located in downtown Edmonds! I've been coming here for years now and I've gotten a lot of my friends to start coming here as well! It's one of our favorite spots in the area. The food never disappoints. Seafood and meat?! My favorites. All the workers here and very friendly :)

Yelp
Salt and Iron Love Salt and Iron! So this is my third time here (might have been 4) and we came here for Mother's Day brunch. The place was packed! Well done! Service was on point we had lots of servers make sure we were taken care of and happy, refilling coffees etc so let's get to the food Chicken fried chicken 5/5 beautifully cooked and the double batter made the chicken extra tasty. It came with a side of cheesy grits which were very yummy and creamy and subbed the sausage gravy with hollandaise, would recommend Crab Benedict 5/5 lots of delicious crab and avocado, honestly could only eat one but it's beautifully prepared with a generous side of potatoes Surf n turf tartin 4/5 generous portion of beef (I believe it was a fillet mignon) with a side of their paprika roasted potatoes, unfortunately the beef was over cooked and on such a tender and lean cut it needed really only a kiss of heat, no pink at all on the slices of beef, shrimp was cooked well and over all the item needed some extra oomph some smack of salt or fat Corned Beef Hash 5/5 this is a must get if you see it on the menu it was part of the Mother's Day special items and it's glorious! It came with chipotle hollandaise complementing the corned beef and potato with a couple of perfectly poached eggs

Yelp
Salt and Iron is easily my favorite restaurant in Edmonds. I've been multiple times for brunch (fantastic) - this was the first time I went for dinner. My friend and I were in the mood for fresh oysters - they are fantastic here. Many of the apps were calling our name so we ended up going a little crazy - bone marrow, ceviche, calamari, and steak tartar. Everything was fantastic. The service is always top notch - Mario was my server last night, he was a gem. The restaurant gets a bit busy - I would recommend making reservations. That being said, I've gotten lucky with bar seating when I've stopped in. The dining room is clean and bright - very inviting.

Mosa H.

Yelp
Yum! This was a wonderful dinner date spot. We started with the oysters, all of which were fresh and left us wanting more. The bone marrow was a great starter, paired wonderfully with the squash. We also loved the seafood chowder- I think we could have eaten a gallon of it! Our server was really attentive and ensured we had our wine out with the right dishes. The special clock-themed lemon dessert was light and a refreshing end to our meal.

Yelp
Good food, great services (a few hiccups but they went above and beyond to make it right). Definitely plan to come back and try other things on their menu! Parking: Street parking Pet friendly: No Family friendly: Yes FOOD: 1. Oysters - Fat Bastard and Kusshi (other options: Shigoku, Pacific, and Kumamoto) approx. $4/ea: 5 Stars - First time hearing of Fat Bastard oyster so of course I had to order it LOL It was so delicious. This is something I will order again. The Kusshi was small but delicious with a hit of sweetness. 2. Lox Benedict (cured salmon, cucumber, pickled shallots, fried caper, hollandaise, micro greens with paprika breakfast potatoes) $22: 4 Stars - very yummy but I could have done without the cucumber due to the texture and just cutting made it kind of hard. One of the better benedicts I've had. 3. Crab Benedict (Dungeness and red crab, avocado, hollandaise, micro greens with paprika breakfast potatoes) $36: 5 Stars - I did not have a bite of this as our friend devoured it too quickly. Obviously, she loved it a lot. 4. Biscuits & Gravy (house made biscuits, jalapeno corn & sausage gravy, three cheese blend, two eggs any style, paprika breakfast potatoes) $18: 2 Stars - My husband was not a fan as he prefers the traditional sausage and white gravy. I'm the same but was also looking forward to trying out their gravy as I love corn and spice. Not sure if its because it was cold by the time I tried it, but the gravy was meh, very goopy and not a lot of flavor. Also the biscuits were super tiny... we had 3 order of biscuits accidently dropped off at our table and they were way bigger. 5. Chicken Fried Chicken (double battered fried chicken, jalapeno corn and sausage, poached eggs, three cheese blend, cheesy grits, herbs) $22: 4 Stars - I LOVED their fried chicken. This is probably one of the best chicken I've ever had - American, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Korean. The plate came out hot which is rare when they tell you to be careful. I could have done without the grits and gravy... 6. Steak and eggs (12oz New York Strip - medium rare, 2 eggs any style, chimichurri, paprika breakfast potatoes, grilled como loaf) $50: I did not have the steak but my friend really enjoyed it. Said it was very good but did not compare to John Howie but it's a good comparison. MENU/RESTAURANT: I've been wanting to come here for a long time as their menu sounds really delicious but for some reason or another, we always ended up somewhere else. The restaurant is a lot larger than it appears from the exterior. Simple, elegant in a modern farmhouse sort of way. SERVICE: The service is absolutely amazing! This was our group's post 5K run brunch and we originally had an 11:15am reservations as its was the earliest available. We ended arriving early, like 10am, and they were able to accommodate our group quickly even though we told them its okay if they couldn't assist us. Our group of 6 had a mix and match of oyster orders that came out first and they had to come to our table 4 times because they didn't get our order correct. They ended up comping some of oyster due to the mix up without telling us prior to getting the check.

Julie H.

Yelp
First time experience was amazing! A cozy feel with great service! Food was even better than we expected! We've had similar items at other restaurants but the flavors to these dishes here at Salt and Iron were spectacular!

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Stopped by with some family around 6pm. Came with a reservation and was promptly seated. Got a window by the seat so there was plenty of sun. Interior was open rustic and homey. We all got the three course meal and coincidently chose the same options for all of them. First was the crab cake which was amazing. Very soft, moist, tender and creamy from the sauce. Second was the miso fish with veggies. The veggies were amazing. They were lightly glazed with a sweet soy like sauce that gave a nice break from the saltiness of the previous dish. Third we got bread pudding which was also amazing. Chunks of bread that were warm, light and fluffy with the candied maple bacon on top brining it all together. Every dish had a nice balance of savory and sweet which I loved. Food: 4.7/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5

Yelp
If you're in Edmonds, eat at Salt and Iron! I went here for a casual date night it looks like a fantastic happy hour spot as well. Even on a Monday, it gets a bit busy and louder around 6PM. Service was a little slower but the staff were really friendly. Food is a solid 5 stars. I'm not an oyster person and even I enjoyed them. The NY steak & frites were great, just needs a vegetable side to complete the meal. Drinks are AMAZING - they make a mean lemon drop!

Eurasia L.

Yelp
This place has a special place in our hearts. Lots of memories made here for date nights and with families. Tonight, we tried something new on the menu, the Petite Filet, Pork chop and a dozen of oysters. The steak was made to perfection with some sort of reduction that's was perfect to my palate. I liked that it wasn't on the sweet side but the perfect umami flavor. The whipped potatoes was a perfect match for this. It's simple, buttery, hearty and so delicious! I highly recommend this dish. It was just the perfect 4oz steak and just right for me. I really enjoyed this one. As for the pork chop, it was also very good. It was tender, perfectly seasoned, juicy and enjoyable. I also like the potatoes that came with it. We enjoyed every bite of our dinner tonight. Service is always top notch. What more can I say. It's one of my favorite restaurant here in Edmonds.

Naomi J.

Yelp
Solid brunch option with big entrees! The french toast slices were thicker than I prefer (and also a little soggy unfortunately, so I'd give them 3.5 stars) but the chicken fried chicken was a 5 star dish! The pomegranate mint cooler was fun (but I was expecting more of a flavorful experience, like a lemonade, than a "flavored water" taste, which I suppose that is what a cooler is?). Our friends said the chilaquiles was good but they won't get it again because it's just the tomatillo salsa and chips. That being said - the jalapeño cheddar biscuits are AMAZING and if I was in the area I would stop just to eat those!!

Anne O.

Yelp
Although we missed HH (apparently the hours have changed) we still had a great meal at the bar. Two glasses of vino, large house salad, bone marrow and octopus was perfect for the two of us. I could have had at least six more bone marrows (because it's that good!) and the octopus was crispy, tender and perfectly cooked. Being that I eat more greens than anything, I would have loved something green to accompany the octopus but adding the house salad worked just fine. We've been to S&I many times and always have a great experience. The steaks and oysters are continuously the highlight, but don't forget to add those smaller plates, especially the bone marrow and octopus. Until next time S&I!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a college graduate for dinner. They have been looking forward toward these reservations, and let me tell you they were worth the wait. We enjoyed the fine dining with a homey feeling. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had the most amazing server. She was attentive and ensured we were enjoying our dinner. I give my compliments to the kitchen as well as they did not disappoint with dinner. I ordered the dinner special which was 6 0z sirloin steak with squash and potatoes. The potatoes were divine. Our table also ordered the 12 0z NY steak and clam chowder which I took taste of and Those dishes were delightful as well. Highly recommend this place for dinner. Looking forward to trying their brunch service.

Molly I.

Yelp
Salt and Iron is better as a brunch spot than a dinner spot to me. As a vegetarian there isn't a ton on the menu I can or want to eat, but there is some (they've improved upon this over the years). Their Benedict is great, hollandaise has good flavor. Potatoes are roasted and seasoned well. Breakfast cocktails are tasty. Cinnamon roll is LUSH. Service could be slightly better. Or can be hard to catch a waiter's attention, even if you go right when they open and they aren't that busy... But it's good enough. We'll go back just for the ease and the freshness of the food.

Ted C.

Yelp
While I was in town for work I still wanted to use the opportunity to catch up with some friends. They both lived in the area and I didn't mind driving up to them and found Salt and Iron was suggested as a meet up spot. Thursday night was pretty busy but not so much that my friend and I got seated before our whole party arrived. I looked at the menu, both food and drink and saw that they had a Radler so I ordered that while we waited. The last of our group showed up and we decided to get some oysters like old times and we went with a 'flight' of the oysters they had in season. They also had steak tartare and keeping with the raw food theme we decided to share that as well. We kept sharing so we split the mussels and oysters. I think this is where the misstep was. I always like the simple prep of mussel but having the oysters in there was where it went wrong. The smaller shellfish weren't mixed in but literally fell by the wayside as their bigger cousins got picked up-also, there's just never enough bread, but our server was accommodating and brought us some more. While I enjoyed the shared plates I was still hungry enough that I wanted something for myself. I saw they had an interesting twist on shrimp risotto. The twist was that it had an elote motif, and the only dish that didn't have a traditional prep. The prawns were big, and balanced out the heap of risotto that meshed well with the jalapeno aioli. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Steak was falling apart in my mouth. My girlfriend got the salmon and ate all of it. The waiter was very friendly and brought my mom a desert for her birthday. Very cute place inside right by the water.

Susanna D.

Yelp
Salt and Iron is one my favorite restaurants in Edmonds. I've been here a few times for dinner and brunch, both are fantastic. Going for dinner we basically ordered half the menu and shared amongst the table. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was fantastic and so was the rest of the staff. Love sitting outside in the summer.

Wendy R.

Yelp
Charming restaurant tucked away on Edmonds and walking distance from the lake. The service was prompt and welcoming, and most importantly, the food was absolutely worth the price. This would make a cute date night location.

Helen L.

Yelp
We were there for Father's Day dinner. It has been a few years since I was there. Of course, that night was busy. The hostess are very friendly and have smiles on their face. We were greeted immediately and was taken to our table . It took a little while for the server to stop by. We understand as it was a busy night. But she appeared she was not happy to be there, no smile, and was only doing her job, took the order, that was it. The food itself was not as amazing as I recall. The plates were hot but the food was just like warm. They probably sat at the warming station for a while. At the end of the dinner, we were hoping for desert but they do not have what my hubby wanted so we made a joke to the server, that's the time she had a grin on her face. I would not go back again. Maybe I picked the wrong date to go? Too busy? But aren't they supposed to hold the standard no matter what? Anyway, it was a pricy dinner without the satisfaction we expected.

Hoai Huong P.

Yelp
Went here for brunch and got the avocado tomato Benedict with gluten free muffin and spicy popcorn chicken. Portions are generous. The popcorn chicken was delicious and I didn't think it was spicy so don't be afraid of that. Cheesy grits and two soft poached eggs came was SOOO good. My friend had some and said it was delicious. Lots of home fries--we couldn't finish. Also had mimosas. Service was great. You can tell it was festive. Wish there was more bathrooms

Carol C.

Yelp
We had a relaxing Sunday brunch that started with a cinnamon roll and the twice baked almond 'Supreme' (round shape) croissant. The cinnamon roll arrived warm topped with a generous amount of cream cheese frosting. I was underwhelmed by the croissant, mainly because it tasted day old. I'm going to speculate that because these specialty croissants are only served on the weekend that they make one batch on Saturday and it's served the rest of the weekend until they're gone. For entrees, we had the chilaquiles, brunch burger and the salmon lox tartine. It's been awhile since I've been to Salt & Iron and I already noticed that they tweaked their brunch menu a bit. Instead of popcorn chicken with cheesy grits, they now serve chicken fried chicken. The previous salmon toast is now replaced by the salmon lox tartine. This one was good, but I miss the previous salmon toast, which was a little more elevated with fried capers, micro greens and thicker bread. Overall, my fam and I enjoyed our meal. The star of the show was our server, Lam. He was very observant and attentive - Lam provided good recommendations, timely refills on our coffee and water, additional silverware and share plates with each course, checked on us regularly and carefully boxed our leftovers. We never had to ask him for anything because he was on it! It was nice to get a reservation the morning of.

Katherine R.

Yelp
Service was good and so was the calamari (although maybe too many peppers substituting for calamari). But the $32 crab salad was a huge and expensive disappointment. There was barely any crab in it and what was in it was stringy, sparse and previously frozen bits of tasteless crab, I guess (hard to tell, frankly). The rest of the salad was fine but when you pay $32 for a crab salad, you should get fresh crab in amounts that justify the price.

Claudia F.

Yelp
I went here for brunch with a friend on a Saturday a few months ago, and was very impressed with this restaurant! The food is very high-quality. That includes their "famous" cinnamon roll, which I recommend sharing! (Or get one to take home!) I think I had an eggs Benedict; it's been a while, so I'm not exactly sure that's what it was, but it was very tasty and I finished every bite. My friend had a chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, and it was enormous! She took about half of it home! The service was also excellent, attentive without hovering. And while we stayed extra long due to a need for much catching up with each other, we never felt hurried or had any sense of them wanting to clear our table for somebody else. The restaurant has nice ambience, very relaxing despite being filled with customers. It's obviously a very popular place, for good reason. I look forward to having another chance to come back here soon. - I would recommend giving yourself extra time to find a parking spot, as it is just street parking and it's a busy area.

Kelli K.

Yelp
Phyllis provided us exceptional service. The food was extremely well prepared and beautifully presented. The drinks were delicious & fun. We will certainly be back!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Perfect brunch, perfect location, perfect vibe. I love a good brunch. This place hit the mark with a fantastic menu featuring a variety and something for everyone. Make a reservation to guarantee a spot. At 11am on a Sunday, the bar was full and the dining room and outside was packed. Pros: I love a good benedict and I tend to order these bc I don't make it at home. This one (tomato and avocado) hit the mark! I asked to add the siracha aioli (saw it on a different dish and asked to add it on the side) and it was a brilliant move. The flavor sent my tastebuds into overdrive and was perfect for dipping my potatoes in. Jalapeño cheddar biscuits- amazing! 2 in an order and perfect for sharing. The top and bottom had the perfect crisp and the inside was cheddary and moist. DELICIOUS! Spicy avocado toast - I love this bc it has a flair. The added peppers and spicy aioli... YAS!! I didn't want to leave and when I did, I wanted to turn around and go back. I will be back bc the atmosphere, service and food was much deserving of 5 stars!

Yelp
Came here for business and was not disappointed. Service was great, food was tasty and hot, ambiance was not bad. The New York was cooked to perfection. Next time I come in I'll get the salt and iron version which adds sides and salt bae I heard comes out and does his thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yelp
I came here for brunch with two of my friends. We selected Salt and Iron because they have outdoor dining which is a must for one of my friends. I was a bit surprised to see their outdoor dining was sidewalk dining where nothing separated pedestrians from diners, but the discomfort was very brief. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was quite funny and very engaging. I never once felt forgotten and enjoyed the pacing. The food was splendid! I ordered the chicken fried chicken and loved every bite being quite surprised with how tender and juicy the chicken was. My partner ordered the steak and eggs and it came out on this comically large platter that was noticeable long before it left the building - we could spy it from our seats as he made a silent hope it wasn't his as it was so large! He loved it, though, and we both ended up with leftovers. Overall it was a great esperience!

Yelp
Edmonds is emerging as a great dining out experience destination and this place delivers on that. Upscale but with a modern, relaxed feeling about it. Skilled culinary chops in the back of the house for sure. Will definitely be back. Tips that would bump to 5-star would be - (1) allow for some flexibility in the menu - was very strict about how things could be prepared, like swapping sauces - I had read the online menu prior to arriving and was all set to order what was there but the in-restaurants had been updated the day before with a slightly different preparation of the same dish - no flexibility which I'd expect some there at this price point. (2) A bit more options for wines by the glass. Suggest a trip to Woodinville or Walla Walla to get an update there - and with a less strict 4 oz. cost control pour.

Yelp
So good. We went for brunch and had good boozy brunchy drinks and delicious food. My husband got the hash and I got the avocado toast with a fried egg. I wanted to lick the plate.

Yelp
Amazing food, prompt service and a great atmosphere made the night even better than I expected!

Yelp
This place is amazing hands down. I do think it's a bit pricey during normal hours but the food is still worth it. The happy hour is very good and so is the brunch. The brunch is honestly where it's at. The steak Benedict with some oysters in the side. Maybe a mimosa or a beer, let's goooooo. I would say that they need to update and add to the beer selection for the nw but that is just a personal preference. If you are an ipa drinker it's either sea pine on draft or Reuben's in a can. Both great choices, just want more for my brunch.

Yelp
Outstanding quality with each bite, loved it. They had a large crowd over the weekend so half of the oysters were out (kumamoto, virginica) but we were able to order kusshis and shigokus. The octopus was really tender, clam chowder was rich and warm and both went well with their grilled bread, yum! We also got the prawn risotto and I'd say it's more for someone who's in the mood for a southern flair-it comes with andouille sausage. Joseph in the bar was wonderful, hospitable, and all-around great.

Yelp
This review is purely for the dinner service, I'd say the brunch was forgetful and you're best served walking a block or so over to the Rusty Pelican. We saw their "Seattle Restaurant Week" menu and decided to give them a shot, a great opportunity to use the gift card our realtor got us when we moved to town. It turned out to be so good we made the bold move of eating here twice in a week. The smoked old fashioned was better than the sum of its parts and shouldn't be overlooked. Not a smoke bomb or an unwelcome bitter firepit, it was a well balanced drink that made even the the mid shelf whiskey sing. I'm not a fan of walnut bitters but I have to admit they were a perfect balance for the sweeter notes of the syrup. We both ordered the same lineup each visit, a tasty smoked salmon and crab cake with a house tartar to start topped with microgreens and pickled red onions to give it that perfect acid note. We followed this with a medium rare prime steak with shoestring fries and probably the best house ranch we've had (for the fries, not the steak you monsters). Dessert was a Macrina cinnamon bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream and a candied bacon garnish. If I had one complaint it was the serving size of the bacon--half a piece was just a tease. If, like us, you've tried their brunch and left no more than whelmed give them a shot for dinner. We're glad we did.

Yelp
First of all is a very lovely place and inside it's very beautiful and well organized BUT the Quality of the ingredients is the best part of it. We ordered a burger and S&I green salad which was so fresh and delicious, and added chicken to it( chicken wasn't flavorful. Which was the only sad part). We loved both. Skinny fries was a bounce. Also staff are very polite and nice so definitely a good place.

Yelp
Amazing service and food! I wanted to take my brother out to celebrate a special day and while my reservations on open table got a bit confused they were still able to accommodate us in the bar. The bartender on New Years Eve was great. Bloody Mary and my Sauv Blanc was delicious. Even gave me a taster of his fave - YUM. I got a lighter fair delicious mushroom and squash brochette with Goat cheese & potatoes while my brother opted for the steak Benedict. It was SO good. They were both good. Seriously. I am making this a staple in my to-go brunch spots!! Fast, knowledgeable and attentive service. Thanks guys!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at Salt and Iron. We started with seasonal oysters and S&I shoestring french fries, entrees were the mushroom risotto delicious and a generous portion, filet mignon with mashed potatoes perfectly cooked to medium rare, the scallops with spinach bacon salad was delicious the portion is 4 scallops which seems slight but they are so rich 4 is plenty. We chose the caramel brownie for dessert. Service was great

Yelp
Second time here and though I'd prefer 4.5 start due to the loud environment, I have to say that we were seated in the bar area and I could have asked for a different location, but didn't. Was meeting some now-retired work colleagues and wanted to catch up without having to raise our voices. Meeting up at 4pm was a good time for this because by 5pm the bar area was loud enough that raising your voice was required. I don't like that kind of dynamic anytime but when reuniting it's especially unwelcome. All that said, we did alright, so it was never just overwhelming. As for food: delicious! Happy hour menu includes steak tartare and a small portion of the filet. Both were great choices and I have to especially compliment the chefs on the sliced filet, which was cooked perfectly and oh, so tender. The thin fries are a nice compliment - do ask for less salt if you don't want them pretty salty. Both my companions ordered the clam (or was it seafood) chowder and both of them were very pleased. I didn't order alcohol but did get coffee, which was acceptable. The price, especially with the happy hour orders, was a pretty good value. Edmonds has a winner with this place!

Yelp
This place is incredibly popular for brunch, but then they open back up and get it 3 PM for dinner today I was going to experience brunch your decaf coffee was incredible salt and iron! Our server, Tyler was very knowledgeable and I had to have a corn beef a cash breakfast but before I did that I had to have the jalapeño biscuits with your special whiskey and onion butter... The seating was incredible and beautiful, but I must recommend making the reservation in advance because this place is incredibly popular and you will find out why when you sit down and try all their food... Say hello to Tyler for me that dude was awesome!

Yelp
Everything was great, food, service and the ambiance. We really liked the restaurant, we went back there 3 times already. Every time they wowed us. We will be back again!

Yelp
Hit happy hour on a Tuesday, would def recommend! The poutine isn't standard, but it's remarkable.

Yelp
Came for dinner and you can't go wrong here. Loved our waiter - he was awesome, the vibe was perfect for our group of girls and the food delicious. I had steak salad this time and the vinaigrette went perfectly with the steak.
