Salt & Palm

I recently tried Balinese food for the first time at Salt and Palm in Glebe. I loved it! The flavours, the presentation - amazing. The Balinese Roasted Pork not only looked stunning when it arrived, but the flavours in the pork were so aromatic. I loved that the crackling was perfect and the pork was so soft. The Beef Rendang was so perfectly cooked an soft that it fell apart when I was trying to pick it up. The Sumatran Prawn Noodle dish - again super stunning, but lovely flavours as well. In fact every dish was great. Also the staff are lovely here and I loved the warm hospitality. The welcome drink and snacks were a lovely touch!

The best Indonesian food by far! Everything is so fresh and flavourful and my absolute favourite thing is the fact that they have so many amazing vegan options! Love the beautiful interiors and the front and back outdoor seating as another option if you don’t want to sit indoors. Great cocktails aswell! Must visit this eatery, it won’t disappoint! 🥰

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Glebe! Felt like I was in Bali again, they had a nice outdoor dining area, the back, and the front. We chose to sit in the front. In terms of service, it was excellent! The cocktails and food arrived so quickly! The food was spectacular! Loved the pork skewers, the vegan scallops and the water crest! Cooked to perfection. Loved the vibe, ambience, and the Bali feel to it! I will be back.

Some of the most authentic Indonesian I've tasted in Sydney. I really enjoyed the spicy eggplant with chilli. This dish has a real zing to it and is cooked to perfection. Follow this up with a Beef Rendang, and you're more than satiated as the slow-cooked beef melts in your palate. Do forget to pair these dishes with an Asahi and enjoy the flavours. Highly recommended and will be returning soon.

This place is special! Lovely restaurant, wonderful service, warm, friendly, inviting and some of the best food I've ever had. We had the set menu and the food was just incredible. The flavours! The plating! The freshness! YUUUMMMMM!!! Every other place is going to be compared to Salt & Palm from now on. EDITED TO ADD: Had such a great time the first time, we ran back for a second go. Unfortunately, wasn't as good! Still delicious but just lacking a bit. Different staff, busier night might be the reason.

Such a wonderful find in Glebe. My partner and I were craving South-East Asian food and were so lucky to stumble on Salt & Palm. The surroundings both inside and out in the courtyard are stunning - very authentic with Indonesian decor. The food had very generous servings and tasted delicious. The best thing we had that evening was the pandan cheesecake. The staff are also very attentive and friendly, will definitely return here.

Food 6/5 tasty, fresh, authentic, the perfect serving size. Highly recommend the pork rice platter! Drinks 6/5 margarita super tasty Service 10/5 absolutely outstanding. So helpful, made the experience really wonderful Also a stunning outdoor space, so relaxing.

The ingredients are all set for this to be a popular restaurant - at 7pm on a Saturday night, the place was almost empty. I enjoyed the food, my dinner companions complained of grisly Beef Rendang. Could be better - maybe I'll try again in the summer.
