JD and his team were phenomenal! They catered my wedding dinner at our private home, and everything was flawless. The food was absolutely incredible—our guests couldn’t stop raving about the braised short rib and the puff tarts! The entire staff was professional, attentive, and made the evening so memorable. I couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience. Highly recommend JD and his team for any event!

JD and his team catered for our wedding. All of the food was amazing! We had zero issues whatsoever. He made the process so great from beginning to end. His responses were timely, he was kind and patient as I asked a million questions, he gave us various menu options to fit our wants/budget, and he gave us leftovers from our tastings. He even went above and beyond the day of and cut/served the cake at no extra charge, even though his company was not the one to provide the cake! I would strongly recommend JD for any catering needs.

Run, don’t walk to hire JD and Salt and Pepper Catering! Everything about the experience for our event was perfection. JD is a pleasure to work with and makes the planning easy. He’s easy going and instills a total confidence that he’s got everything fully under control, is priced fairly and absolutely knows what he’s doing every step of the way. We went through a few versions of what we wanted and he modified accordingly. He was extraordinarily patient during the entire process, always responsive and did a few tastings for us to make sure he got it right. And the food…..amazing! The guests were wowed. We wish he owned a restaurant so we could buy his food on demand! As far as execution on the big day, he and his staff delivered the entire evening flawlessly, exceptional and as planned down to every detail. Gold stars all the way around, JD and Salt and Pepper are the absolute best!

We used Salt & Pepper for our corporate anniversary party and it was the best choice. Both amazing food that our staff raved about and also a very professional experience. Will definitely use them again if we have another event!

I used Salt & Pepper Catering for my daughter's Sweet 16 BDay party and couldn't be happier with the service, food and value. JD was easy to communicate with, and was open to making changes to the menu even after the menu/contract was created. The catering team arrived on time, served guests with a smile, and even cleaned up before they left for the evening. People are still asking me who catered..the food was THAT good

Our wedding food was so, so, so good. JD and his team knocked it out of the park. (Several months post-wedding, we still have people reminiscing on how amazing it was!) For our main entrees, we ordered the Italian grilled chicken and the red wine braised pork rib. For sides, we had garlic mashed potatoes and the roasted butternut squash. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Due to a large number of guests, we opted for the buffet. The serving staff was kind, patient and professional and they managed our large event with ease. Everyone was served in a timely manner, and we had more than enough food for our guests. During our catering samplings, JD said “your guests will not leave hungry”— and he was right! We opted for appetizers to be served during a ‘happy hour’ between our ceremony and reception. The guests raved about those as well. What I appreciated most about JD was that he was mindful of us. Weddings are so chaotic that, oftentimes, the bride and groom can go without food. That was not the case with us. His team made us each a plate that included at least one of each of the appetizers we ordered— as well as the main course. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We would 10/10 recommend JD and his team for your event!

Worked with S+P Catering for my wedding recently. The food was very good, many of the guests complimented the quality and selection. The catering staff arrived at the venue and did a great job serving. They also cut and distributed the wedding cake slices out. Extremely satisfied with the quality of service and of the food. Would work with again.

JD was by far one of our favorite vendors we worked with. He made the process fun and enjoyable and of course the food is great! He is super responsive and answered all my little questions leading up to our wedding. The food was just as delicious at our actual wedding as it was during our tastings and JD was incredibly kind in getting my husband and I a full plate of food as soon as we sat down at the reception. I can't say enough good things about Salt & Pepper!

I had the opportunity to experience this company through Cozymeal, a destination to find cooking classes,team building activities , and catering . This company works in conjunction with them . So, I knew it was a cooking class,but didn't know exactly what to expect . I was warmly greeted as soon as I came in with my bottle of wine . We were allowed to bring a bottle . That had already won me over ! Lol !! There were only a few of us and we sat at a dinner table . Chef Jd, our host , explained the dishes we would make and how we would all interact . Chef Jd was a great host !! We learned how to make bolognese sauce , fresh noodles, a fall salad , and the best chocolate cake on earth!! It was such a blast learning how to make things from scratch I never have . I can truly impress my friends now . So after the prep , you get to eat what you made . It was heavenly . Btw, you are never alone in the prep , you are more or less assisting . This was a wonderful experience to team build , meet others , and learn something new . I would definitely do this again !

I worked with Salt & Pepper Catering to provide both Tofu and Pork Bao for my wedding. JD, the owner, set up a free tasting session and took detailed notes on what my fiancé and I thought tasted good and didn't taste good. He then worked with us on providing staff to help serve the Bao as well as some of the other food that was going to be served at the wedding. Unfortunately, with the Coronavirus, we had to postpone our wedding. JD was great to work with in these difficult times and provided excelled customer service. I will not hesitate to work with Salt & Pepper catering again in the future.

I came to the Italian cooking class on a Friday night with some friends on a whim.... what a GREAT decision!! We learned how to make pasta from scratch (I've always wanted to learn that!), bolognese sauce, lemon vinaigrette radish/watermelon arugula salad, and sweet biscuits with whipped cream and strawberries. The entire process was fun and interesting- JD does a great job at showing us the ropes. All the while.... It's BYOB.... YES! I could tell the entire group was thoroughly enjoying ourselves. In fact we were talking about how it's only a matter of time before these classes have a huge wait list... So... compared to other cooking classes in the metroplex, this class is more affordable, and this class lets you actually get your hands dirty and touch and handle the food. I will be back and I definitely recommend you give them a shot!

Salt & Pepper Catering provided street tacos and other delicious Mexican fare for a corporate event attended by over 150 people. The food and service were impeccable! The attention to detail was spectacular. I would highly recommend Salt & Pepper for any event.

I cannot heap enough praise on J.D. and his crew for the phenomenal job they did for my daughter's wedding. Every dish was delicious and hot and our guests had high praise for the food. What they didn't see was the attention to detail from this group to alleviate stress and make this day memorable. You will not go wrong choosing this group to handle any occasion for you!

JD makes some phenomenal vegetarian and non vegetarian mini Bao, which is perfect for any party. He can customize it to your tastes, and he also provides fantastic customer service! I highly recommend using his company for your catering as he's very organized and professional!

This has been a review a long time coming. Last year in September I was looking for a cooking class in the metroplex. I had tried others and they weren't that good to me. This one popped up in my FB feed one day. It was the Italian Class where we would learn how to make Watermelon-Radish Salad with Arugula, Feta, Lemon Vinaigrette, & Sherry Gastrique, Fresh Fettuccine Pasta with Traditional Bolognese Sauce, Sweet Biscuit Strawberry Shortcake with Orange Scented Whipped Cream. When I tell you you are really making everything the scratch you are. The fettuccine was met in your mouth perfect. The Salad was yummy yummy, and the sweet biscuit strawberry shortcake was EVERYTHING. JD is an amazing cook and teacher. He goes into so much detail down to the science behind it. JD even gives you copies of your recipes. I highly suggest you bring a pen and take extra notes because he will give you alternate suggestions to you so you can me it your own. I was hooked after that. I've been going every month since. I've done the Southern Cooking, Holiday Cooking, Vegetarian Cooking, Valentine Cooking, Ravioli Cooking, Mediterranean Cooking, and the Tex Mex Class. If you have a group of friends and want to have a private class feel free to reach out to JD and he'll make it happen and you can make a menu with him. I highly suggest you try him out and you won't regret it.

Great for date night! Great with family! Great with friends! We attended two cooking classes so far. The 1st was a date night, and the 2nd with my future in-laws. Had a great time at each class! Great direction and instructions from JD and Jonathan, well prepared stations for each course, and truly amazing food! BYOB makes it even more fun, so do not forget the wine! If you are a guy looking for the best date night make sure to buy tickets, grab a few bottles of wine(very important!), and surprise your date. I guarantee she will leave full and with a big smile! We also met some great people at our classes!

I attended Cozymeal's first cooking class in Dallas on November 2 with Chef JD of Salt & Pepper Catering - and it was great fun! This was my first cooking class ever - I imagined it would be each person at a table following a recipe step-by-step, taking all night. But it wasn't that all - it was a perfect combination of learning, entertainment, and enjoying a delicious meal, all in about two hours. We made an exquisite three-course Italian dinner from scratch: salad with roasted baby carrots, arugula, candied walnuts, sherry gastrique, and mustard vinaigrette; fettucine bolognese (fun making the pasta!) with home-made ricotta cheese; and chocolate budino covered in chocolate ganache. Every dish was so tasty and memorable - we're excited to make these dishes at home! Chef JD makes such delicious food, has such an amazing personality, and is so welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun - he should really have his own show on the Food Network! Kudos also to assistant Gustavo - many thanks! Definitely book an experience with Chef JD for yourself and your next team-building event.

I have used S & P Catering on four separate occasions, an hors d'oeuvres reception and three dinner parties. Each time different items on the menu were selected (along with a few favorites) and were consistently delicious. I highly recommend them and am certain I will use S & P Catering again. Althea S.

Planning a wedding can be stressful but going with JD was the best and easiest choice I made! Not only is he professional with outstanding food but responded quickly to all my multiple emails. He even made a appointment at the wedding venue and checked it out ahead of time to see what they provide and what he would need. His service is on point and I highly recommend. My wife and I attended a cooking class at Salt & Pepper Catering yesterday evening and had an amazing time. It was a small group setting and we learned how to make two pasta dishes from scratch (ravioli and pappardelle) and a nice summer salad. Chef Jd Bennett was enthusiastic going from group to group to make sure that everyone was having a good time. While at the cooking class we were able to sample various items like his house cured bacon and and a few other items. I would definitely recommend hiring Salt and Pepper Catering for my next event.
