The 38 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland

"With Salt & Straw’s first Orange County shop comes high-quality scoops and a menu of intriguing flavors, like salted, malted chocolate chip cookie dough, which are far superior to the Dreyer’s cones sold inside the park. The flavors change monthly, so there’s always something new to sample." - Carlye Wisel

Salt & Straw Starts Scooping Ice Cream (and Bugs) at Downtown Disney | Eater LA

"A Portland-based ice cream chain has opened its sixteenth shop in Anaheim’s Downtown Disney, bringing signature wood-carved interiors and inventive, savory-forward flavors to theme-park visitors. The location serves twelve classic scoops alongside bold combinations like Black Olive Brittle & Goat Cheese and Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper, plus an exclusive Pots of Gold & Rainbows (a cereal-steeped sweet milk with Lucky Charms marshmallows). Seasonal Halloween offerings push the novelty factor—Creepy Crawly Critters is a matcha ice cream with coconut toffee-brittle, mealworms, and dark chocolate-covered crickets—and patrons can add “Crittles,” a sugary mealworm brittle, as a topping. Designed by Andee Hess of Osmose Design, the shop features sculpted fixtures, wooden door pulls, a rustic twist on the red-and-white parlor motif, and a 14-foot hand-carved wooden ice cream totem. Located in the outdoor Downtown Disney district (no park admission required), it also sells small marketplace goods like Marshall’s Farm honey and Theo chocolate and offers a grab-and-go pint freezer from 10 a.m. to midnight. It is the first of three major openings planned for the district, with Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer and Ballast Point expected to follow." - Carlye Wisel

One of America’s Best Ice Cream Shops Expands to Downtown Disney | Eater LA

"A Portland dessert import, Salt & Straw is opening inside Downtown Disney in Anaheim, bringing its ever-rotating cast of flavors to the park; expect long park lines for the shop, a likely push into Orange County, and an opening later this year." - Farley Elliott

Google
Salt & Straw at Downtown Disney delivered hands-down the best ice cream I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk up, the smell of freshly made waffle cones hits you and sets the tone for something special. The staff is friendly and patient, encouraging you to sample flavors until you find the one that absolutely stops you in your tracks. The ice cream itself is on another level rich, creamy, and full of bold, inventive flavors that somehow still feel perfectly balanced. Whether it’s their signature classics or the limited-edition seasonal creations, every scoop tastes like it was crafted with real care. It’s the kind of ice cream that makes you pause mid-bite because it’s that good. Even with the usual Disney crowds, the line moves quickly, and the experience feels fun rather than rushed. Prices are a bit high, but absolutely worth it for the quality. If you’re in Downtown Disney, Salt & Straw is a must-visit. It’s not just dessert it’s an experience.

Google
Holiday seasonal flavors are amazing! The peppermint cocoa with crushed candy canes is perfect for peppermint lovers out there, I totally want to go back for this. Sampled the almond brittle with salted ganache and pineapple upside cake, also will be coming back to get actual scoops because they were that good!!!

Google
Extremely amazing ice cream! Apple cedar donuts was #1 . Employees super friendly! Very helpful. Homemade ice to so delicious. It's a definitely must have!! Priced just right.

Google
Great ice cream. Very soft and creamy. Interesting and delicious flavors to choose from. I choose both the sea salt caramel and the cinnamon snickerdoodle flavors. I enjoyed both, but there were so many other options I would love to try next time I’m in Downtown Disney.

Google
So I had many people recommend that I try this place when they found out I was headed to Disneyland, so of course I had to give it a try! And I wasn’t disappointed. The ice cream was amazing. I loved that they allow you to try any flavor you want before you decide what to order!!! I tried the Cookie dough, the cinnamon snickerdoodle and the double folded vanilla! Although they were all amazing, I went with the Double Folded Vanilla and it was AMAZING! They said it is made with double the vanilla bean folded into it and it tasted so good! I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you are in the Disneyland area! This is at Downtown Disney!

Google
One of my favorite places to grab ice cream when I'm at Disneyland is here. The regular and seasonal flavors are always tasty. I enjoy how creative they get with the flavors they make. The line goes by quickly and is managed as best as possible with the space they have. There isn't anywhere inside to sit and enjoy your cup or cone but there are plenty of seats outside to do so.

Brittany C.

Google
They have THE BEST ice cream. Their waffle cones were unexpectedly awesome too. Highly recommend every time you’re in downtown Disney.

Google
So good!! Abby was the best!! She was patient, kind, helpful and willing to put up with all of our taste test shenanigans. She also gave killer recs- here’s my cone with chocolate brownie and strawberry pretzel 😍

Yelp
My experience at Salt & Straw is always a 10/10. The ice cream here is unmatched! There standard flavors are amazing and they always rotate in fun, adventurous flavors as well. The employees at the Downtown Disney Salt & Straw location are so efficient and nice! We had grabbed a pint from the freezer to take home, and a c ast member went to the back and grabbed us a fresh one that was super frozen to make it easier to get home, so nice! We indulged in a few flavors! We had sea salt with caramel ribbons, honey lavender, gooey brownie, and pear and blue cheese. My favorite part about Salt & Straw is the option for a kids scoop or a split scoop if you want to try more than one flavor!

Yelp
The manager on Monday night was wonderful. I was having issues with a gifted comp card and he changed a frustrating situation into a Disney style magical moment. The ice cream is lovely and unique, but the manager is why I came to write the review. They really care about customers and that makes a world of difference. Ice Cream is an adventure here. The lines can look long but move fast.

Yelp
Downtown Disney is full of good eats! We've been annual pass holders for years and this spot is a must stop every time! Their ice cream is exceptionally creamy, with chunky mix-ins and swirls for added texture. Pure deliciousness! Their artisanal ice cream brand is known for its creative, chef-driven flavors using local, high-quality ingredients while offering unique combinations such as: Honey Lavender, Goat Cheese with Habanero, and Arbequina Olive Oil. My personal favorites are Coffee Love Nuts and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. The richness, creaminess, and delightful textures create a memorable tasting experience. So, come check them out on your next Disney trip! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Visited Salt & Straw in the Downtown Disney area and it was such a nice ice cream shop. The flavors are definitely unique--this summer month was focus on "farmers market" so sounds a little bizarre at first--but they're surprisingly complex and really well done like the dill + cucumber flavor, you could ask for samples. I tried several on the "limited edition" menu board. Even the ones I wasn't sure about ended up tasting good and intentional. The ice cream ingredients are certainly above average and creamy. This year, they have strawberry waffles cones, in addition to the standard cones. Soooooo tasty! The staff, of course, is nice and efficient. Perfect spot if you're feeling adventurous with ice cream. The downside there's no inside sitting so you grab your ice cream, continue walking and browsing the decorative areas that Downtown Disney got to offer.

Yelp
I love this ice cream chain! It's fun to try out the flavors they release for their Monthly Menu Series. The service was good and it wasn't extremely busy. I feel like the line moves pretty fast and the workers are able to help move customers around. For this visit, Salt and Straw had their Holiday Series so I sampled most of them and ended up getting a kids scoop of the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This had chunks of pineapple cake in sweet cream ice cream with butterscotch. I was hoping there would be a themed Disney flavor since this is a downtown Disney location, but seems like it's the same flavors as the other locations.

Yelp
Salt & Straw has been around for a long time. Their ice cream flavors are unique and are very good. The service is good and you can sample flavors before you decide. However, the line at this Downtown Disney can get very long so you can feel a little rushed sometimes. We got a DOUBLE SCOOP $10.25 of the holiday flavor: almond brittle and salted ganache and the honey lavender with a WAFFLE BOWL $2.15. Both flavors were good although the almond brittle and salted ganache was a bit too salty and strong. An almond brittle vanilla ice cream would be bomb... just a thought. The portion was big although a little expensive. The total for the ice cream was $12.50. There are a lot of bench areas outside where you can enjoy your ice cream. Happy holidays and happy eating!

Yelp
As an ice cream connoisseur, I don't know how this is my first time ever trying salt & straw. I am a huge cookie dough fan, and this really hit the spot. It's honestly rare nowadays to find ice cream with sufficient mix ins and toppings, but this did not disappoint. The consistency is also so creamy and smooth, I was very impressed and completely understand the hype. The servers were also extremely helpful and patient when we were trying samples. I will definitely be coming back soon!!

Yelp
i don't visit often but when i do i love to try all the new and seasonal flavors! i ended up getting a split scoop (because i'm indecisive lol) and got pineapple upside down cake and Strawberry & Coconut Water Sherbet. pro tip: get in line while world or color and the fireworks are happening! it's the shortest i've ever seen it. otherwise, the line is usually long so you gotta be patient.
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
This place is very popular. The line was out the door when we arrived. I was intrigued by the variety of exotic flavors. They have a good system down with the menu displayed outside as well as inside and they have someone guiding the line for service. It definitely has an old-fashioned ice cream shop vibe. They also offer samples of their flavors with metal spoons and you place the used spoon in a slot of the counter. I went with a split scoop cup allowing me to get two flavors: honey lavender and the pear and blue cheese. The pear and blue cheese was very mild and paired well with the sweetness from the honey lavender flavor. My youngest went with the strawberry and coconut water sherbet and enjoyed that as well. This place is worth a try if you're up for adventurous flavors.

Yelp
The location is great in the middle of downtown Disney. There is always almost always a long line. I happened to see an ad for an ice cream taco and had a hankering for one for awhile. I went inside to inquire. The server was nice and explained to me when it first came out it was sold out quick. It is premade cinnamon ice cream with a chocolate shell on top with a berry sauce and a spicy mango sauce? The ice cream choice was a bit strange. The taco was well made. Tried dipping into each sauce and it took was a strange combination. Alone the sauces were good but with a cinnamon ice cream? They have good quality ice cream but beware for $8.50 it's a bit pricey for a small confused flavor profile taco.

Yelp
Kinda sad (but not that sad) that I totally forgot to take a picture... but honestly, I was way too interested in digging into the ice cream than taking a picture. I'd been waiting to swing by after my Disney trip. When we got there, the line wasn't too long, which surprised me. It was maybe less than a 10-minute wait. Three people were scooping, so it moved super fast. We sampled a few flavors, because how can you not? Free ice cream samples, count me in. I ended up sampling a few of them, but ended up going with Hazelnut Cookies & Cream (vegan!) and Coffee & Love Nuts. Salt & Straw has some unique and interesting flavors, so sampling is definitely the move if you're not sure if you'll like it based on the name. If you're looking for "normal" ice cream, then this probably isn't your spot. They love to get experimental, since I remember my last visit, I saw a tomato gelato with olive brittle. Weird? Yes. But somehow... it kinda works? Which also puzzled me. That said, they do have some more toned-down flavors too. The Hazelnut Cookies & Cream was a safe but solid pick. It is a nice and fun vegan twist on a classic. It had a subtle coconut flavor that really worked well with the hazelnuts. and cookies and cream. It really helped bring the two things together in a different way. I was surprised how well they tasted together. The hazelnut also added a nice crunch that just gave it a bite that I liked. The same goes for the Coffee & Love Nuts. It had a bold, rich coffee flavor, and the sweet, nutty crunch gave it the perfect texture. Both flavors were super satisfying without being too out there. This time, I played it safe since I was sharing and didn't want to risk picking something my friend might totally hate. But next time? I'm definitely down to try something a little more out there. Salt & Straw always has these unique flavors and that is kind of why I like this place. It is fun seeing what creative or weird flavors they come up with. Definitely will be back, and can't wait til my next visit.

Yelp
It was very busy when we went on a Sunday night. The line was out the door, so we placed the order online to pick it up. We never got a notification that our order was ready and when we went to get it, they had it just out in the open for anyone to take. They weren't checking if anyone was picking up the right orders or not, so anyone could've taken it. The ice cream was decent but not worth the price that it was

Yelp
I recently discovered Salt & Straw in DT Disney, and I believe it has become my favorite sweet treat spot while i'm in the parks! Service here is super quick and efficient, considering it is always super busy here! I had their Pear with Blue Cheese and Zucchini Bread flavors, and they both paired nicely, + I got a waffle cone, so yum. Try their seasonal flavors! They're just so interesting yet tasty. They use whole ingredients here which I commend the business for doing, love that. Cute small ice cream shop. Come give this place a shot!
google avatar

Yelp
I crave Salt and Straw when I'm not in California and when I am here, I get it at least every other day. The holiday flavors this year are heavenly! The best is the Almond brittle which I'm now obsessed with. Service is always top notch. I hope they get one in Utah some day!!

Yelp
I love Salt & Straw. We are fortunate enough to have one back home in Arizona. This location is in the heart of the Downtown Disney District. Salt & Straw is a Portland based ice cream company that has really made a name for itself since its inception in 2011. Salt & Straw is known for their exotic ice cream flavors like Pear & Blue Cheese, Arbequina Olive Oil and Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper. They are partially owned by film star and wrestler The Rock. Salt & Straw has their regular menu flavors, but also feature rotating ones throughout the year. I enjoyed coming here because Salt & Straw has flavors that are found only on the West Coast. I got to try some flavors that I normally don't see. One thing that I have always enjoyed about Salt & Straw is that their stores are always clean and the customer service is great. They let you sample flavors if you can't decide on what to get. You can also grab a pint to go if you want to enjoy an evening on the couch with some Salt & Straw ice cream. I have tried a number of flavors now and have enjoyed each one of them. You can't go wrong with their signature Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons. Walking around Downtown Disney with a cup of Salt & Straw in hand always makes for a nice time at Disney.
google avatar

Yelp
The smell of fresh waffle cones being made always gets me. Every staff I've interacted with are happy, professional, and most of all, patient. Especially if their seasonal flavors are in and I'm intrigued by most of them. As someone who can't make decisions, I get nervous asking to sample flavors but I don't want to commit if it's not for me. My go to is the salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough when I'm not in the mood for the seasonal. The perfected combo of everything that's in it! So perfect!! And yes, get the waffle cone. Lines can get pretty long no matter the weather but they have a system going and it goes by fast.

Yelp
After a long Disney day, my husband and I wanted ice cream but didn't want to wait in line. I ordered a pint for pickup and it was quick and easy. This review is specifically for the great customer service at this location- I chatted with the lady behind the counter about my favorite flavor, and she happily gave me a sample of something else "if you love that flavor you'll love this!". Was a simple, nice gesture. Thanks Salt & Straw, my favorite ice cream store by far and away!
google avatar

Eunie L.

Yelp
Such a great location that can get quite a long line. Even so, there's no feeling of being rushed if you want to try samples of their unique flavor. I love that the sample is given on a metal spoon and there's a slot on the counter to drop your spoon. There's no seating inside but there are places you can sit outside. I got the chocolate chip zucchini bread. I thought it was a great end of summer to start of fall flavor.
google avatar

Hugo D.

Yelp
Salt & Straw at Downtown Disney is a must visit if you're a fan of ice cream. The line can look very long, but it moves pretty quick. In my opinion it is worth the wait. The flavors are rich, creamy, and a mix of unique and basic combinations. You'll find unique combos you won't see anywhere else, like olive oil, honey lavender, or their seasonal specials. Unexpectedly they let you sample as many as you want before choosing. I went with the chocolate chip cookie dough, and it was smooth and a little salty. The waffle cones are fresh with an amazing scent the second you walk near the area. It's a little pricey for ice cream, but the quality, portion size, and atmosphere of Downtown Disney, it feels worth it. If you're already at Disney, this could be the cherry on top of your day.
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
The flavors of the ice cream are sooo unique and fun! Marilyn was super knowledgeable about all the flavors and super patient with us and let us try all the flavors (and even walked is through the history of each one ) Found my favorite flavor and will definitely come back again just for her and her amazing service Please give her a raise
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
Way overhyped. The line was so long and ice cream hella expensive. Go somewhere else or buy a bucket at the grocery store. It's just attraction for money. Inside was too crowded.
google avatar

Lea M.

Yelp
Wow! I don't indulge in dessert much these days, and this was totally worth the calories! Amazing. They are located in the Disney District. I had my eye on this for a few days! Walked in after dinner nearby, and had their special "Oishii Strawberry Pretzel" flavor in a waffle cone. It was everything!! The line moves quickly and the staff are super nice. I'll def be back soon!
google avatar

Dexter B.

Yelp
I finally get to do a review of this place after coming here for the last couple years and haven't been to salt and straw in months since I started reviewing again. The original flavors are really good and have a good variety of them too, I suggest the sea salt caramel. Every week they change their "specialty" flavors and they have both crazy names and crazy combos, sometimes it's shockingly good and sometimes it's bad. You can even sample each one if you'd like before deciding. It's cool to see their random combos every week, as for the service well it's Disney so like their service is pretty good and very welcoming. Prices are a little up but realistically I get full off a single scoop which is $7.50
google avatar

Yelp
**August 2025: Sunday Late Afternoon Visit** I've visited Salt and Straw in Portland, Oregon during one of my roadtrips and remembered that I enjoyed their unique flavor combinations. Their OC Downtown Disney location has been here for years, but I only recently made my way to see how this branch compares. It's been so ridiculously hot lately that a visit to an ice cream shop was a no brainer. On my visit there was a long line (Maybe 15 people), but it moved pretty quickly. They have tried and true flavor combinations like chocolate gooey brownie, honey lavender, mint chocolate chip etc, but I was interested in their wild combinations like melon and prosciutto, tomato gelato with olive brittle. When you get to the counter you're allowed to sample any flavor so I did just that and settled on the peach jam miso blondie. It has a nice sweetness that's bright, creamy and works well with the chunks of the blondie. I think if you're an adventurous eater Salt and Straw will definitely challenge your notion on what ingredients work well together. This is a premium dessert shop so be ready to shell out some dough. A single scoop was $7.50, but every once in a while you should treat yo self!
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Shout out to Daniel for making my recent visit with my boyfriend memorable! Downtown Disney is always busy during the holiday season, but I carved out time to check out Salt & Straw's seasonal flavors! I was really feeling the holiday spirit with my hearty scoop of Chewy Molasses Cookies with Rum Caramel (~$7). I was also able to try all the other flavors we wanted + had a shorter wait time than expected, probably because we went at the very end of the night, haha. But also special thanks to Daniel, the staff member who was incredibly patient, sweet, and speedy!! Overall, I def recommend stopping by to check out their rotating monthly flavors! Can't beat those classic flavors as well!
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
Salt & Straw is my favorite ice cream shop. They have their classic flavors and new flavors each month. They have some really good ones. The Disney location can have long lines. Actually, they can all have long lines on a hot day. It's always nice to have two different scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone, share it with another and find a place to sit in Downtown Disney.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Yum! The line moved swiftly and they were kind and patient in this location. I'd been to S&S Del Mar recently and tried two of the Farmer's Market Series flavors for August 2025: Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread & Peach Jam Miso Blondies. The first tasted more like zucchini bread (not much chocolate) but was tasty. Peach Jam Miso Blondies was DELISH. Came a few days later to S&S Downtown Disney with visiting friends who had never been to a Salt & Straw. They appreciated getting to try different flavors before deciding: One tried Melon & Proscuitto: "WOW!" he said, "is that good!!!" he decided against it only cuz he thought it would be too one-note to have a whole scoop, but he was impressed. We also tried the Pickled Cucumber Sorbet. Amazing! I need to get some more before the flavors change. It tastes like a refreshing dill pickle - savory sorbet, not sweet. Lovely! I got the Huckleberry Cornbread which was a throwback flavor of the day. Delish. Another friend got the Peach Jam Miso and loved it, as well as the classic Chocolate Gooey Brownie. They're hooked on S&S now and can't wait to come back to Ca to try more flavors. And I appreciate that this location, in such a busy area, kept the line moving and was as friendly as the S&Ss in San Diego.

Yelp
Always a treat to visit salt and straw while coming to Disneyland. Staff was super friendly. They had wide variety of flavors. Our favorite was the hazelnut cookies and creme. Definitely coming back soon.

Yelp
We heard a lot of good things about this popular ice cream shop, so when I spotted it in Downtown Disney I just knew we had to try it!! We ordered a scoop of Dairy-Free Honey Lavender and a scoop of the limited edition Dairy-Free Marionberry Oatmeal Cobbler. Our 8 year old loved the lavender flavor she chose! Hubby and I shared the cobbler one to save on the sugar, I tried a few bites and thought it was pretty good! I would recommend this location and we're looking forward to returning to try more of their homemade flavors! They get their cream for their dairy flavors from family-owned company, Scott Brothers Dairy! SYOY! :-) *Song Credit: Happy Kids by Amusicmedia Site: https://pixabay.com/music/-happy-kids-3536/

Yelp
Let's never get confused, Salt & Straw is the best ice cream there is, anywhere. It's funny that this location is in downtown Disney, because no Disney ice cream can even come close in its wildest dreams. We leave the park quite a bit to venture to the location then head back in. This store is great, beautiful area and great ambiance, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and willing to let you go to town trying flavors. They even played along with the "your majesty" since my daughter was in a princess costume... fun...
google avatar

Luis C.

Yelp
We stopped for ice cream and this spot doesn't disappoint. The ice cream is so good and flavors delicious. The staff is friendly, polite, and attentive. We'll definitely be back when in the area!!
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Located in the middle of Downtown Disney. If I'm there I'll definitely try something weird. There's a line all the time but it goes pretty fast. All the workers there are really nice and accommodating. We tried like 6 different flavors and they were super nice. They have their regular flavors which are always good but were there for the weird combinations. We tried the Chocolate Zucchini Bread, the Peach Miso, and the Pickled Cucumber Sorbet. Very interesting flavors. - Chocolate Zucchini Bread was delicious and tasted refreshing. - Peach Miso was interesting. Refreshing with a strong umami flavor - Pickle Cucumber Sorbet tastes like pickles so if that's your thing you'll really like it. Parking for Downtown Disney is never fun. Paid $10 for first hour but if you get it validated it's $10 for four hours.

Yelp
Marilyn was very nice! She had great customer service and was very well knowledgeable on ice cream facts from Salt and Straw! She was very kind with giving lots of samples and recommendations, I will come again!

Yelp
What more can you ask for after a long day of Disney activities or just want to grab a sweet treat in downtown Disney. It's a win win for everyone while you patiently wait in line to try any flavor you like with zero complaints that you've had too much. The staff is delightful and willing to share all the details behind what makes this such a popular ice cream shop. Right now they have their "cereal-sly" flavors with childhood favs of captain crunch, coco puffs, rice krispees etc, each flavor is unique and bursting with the perfect amount of sweet that is never overpowering. They def carry the wow factor as I remember during Halloween they had a critters flavors and had actual dried up critters which sold out very quickly The moment you walk in, it smells like exactly what they are doing, making homemade waffle cones, buttery and warm, so good that they should make a candle out of it.. oh wait.. they have and they sell it on their merch display. Always a must stop when visiting
google avatar

Yelp
Omg YUM! Super flavorful and high quality ice cream, definitely a must have if you're walking around. It was really helpful having the employees let me sample various flavors since I've never been to Salt & Straw before. My favorite was absolutely the Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!! But the Cinnamon Snickerdoodle was also fun so I had a split scoop so I could enjoy both of them. I really don't have any bad to say about this spot. The employees were patient and attentive and kind. And the ice cream was just phenomenal. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie dough!
google avatar

Samantha P.

Yelp
A must try if you're in the area! Salt and straw has some of the best ice cream on the west coast hands down! The honey lavender and chocolate gooey brownie are my top two choices I recommend but you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. Also a tip, if you are buying a pint you can skip the line and go right to the checkout counter!
google avatar

Cristina A.

Yelp
Soooo Good! First time I tried it and wow I can taste the creaminess of real ingredients. There was a ton of different and unique flavors but I chose one of the simplest flavors salted caramel. I would totally recommend and be a repeat customer
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
When it comes to ice cream, I tend to like basic flavors that are done well; however, Salt and Straw really comes through for me if I want something inventive that I can't find elsewhere. I can count on Salt and Straw to offer eccentric flavors. During my visit today, they had "Gruyere and tomato custard tart" ice cream and "chocolate peanut butter crisp peanut butter cups". While I appreciate these offerings, I dont consider them craveable. It certainly wasn't what I was looking for after having a meat-heavy dinner. Customer service is generally excellent, and they'll generously help you with sampling what you might think you'd like. I settled with a classic - their caramel with sea salt, which is delicious with a waffle cone. After having a ton of unseasoned meat at a korean BBQ spot, the salty caramel was exactly what I was craving. For my own tastes, Salt and Straw is good, but not great, since the flavors are too eccentric to be what I would crave on a regular basis; however, I would encourage you to try it if you haven't.

Yelp
Wow! very happy that I gave this place a try! They also have a location in Costa Mesa, but i've never been until now. Prices are moderate for what you'd get for ice cream. The waffle cones are made fresh on site. I really liked their unique ice cream flavors that you really wouldn't find anywhere else. The chocolate brownie with real brownie chunks is amazing and my boyfriend is a fan of the snickerdoodle one. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
Disneyland tip: Exit the park and come to downtown Disney for an afternoon break from the crowds and enjoy a delicious treat at Salt & Straw. The service is excellent, everyone is helpful and in my experience eager to make your experience delightful. The flavors of ice cream are unique and they also have seasonal offerings . If you are curious about a flavor they do let you ask for a taste test. After we make our selections we love to sit outside and enjoy. Usually trying each other's selections!

Yelp
Long time fan, first time reviewer!! The best ice cream on the Disney property. There's always new seasonal flavors when I visit and they are pretty friendly with samples. I usually get a single split scoop and the winners this time was the chocolate caramel corn with candied peanuts and freckled mint chip. Delicious !

Yelp
I think about this place all the time! I miss it so much. If it wasn't so far, I'd be here on the daily.

Yelp
Love that they are open late so you can stop by even after a late night at Disneyland. It feels a little pricey for the amount of ice cream you get, but I guess everything in the area is pricey. It was good ice cream, but expect a line even at midnight.

Yelp
Got to visit this place again after several years! I was stoked to try but it was relatively loud inside and I guess the girl couldn't hear me correctly when I told her I wanted to try all the vegan options. She incidentally gave us the seasonal flavors which were not all vegan. Yuck! Anyway, I still like this place but I would make sure they hear you loud and clear and that you double check if something is vegan before you try it. On this trip we liked the freckled mint chip and the PB brittle caramel fudge. Both were good, pretty sweet but good. I also feel like portion sizes shrunk since I was here last. Will visit again if in the area.

Yelp
A Unique must stop. I would never think of combining most of these flavors in food, let alone ice cream. They have vegan ice cream options as well made with coconut or almond milk. And they had a sorbet option that was so suffocated and delicious. Definitely go for samples before you commit!

Yelp
this is literally my favorite flavor ever and it only comes around every june wild-foraged berry slab pie is perfection -- sweet berry swirls, buttery double-baked pie crust, and that salted vanilla base... unreal also tried double fold vanilla and it's a best seller for a reason -- super rich, creamy, and packed with actual vanilla bean flavor. simple but elite ice cream here is on the pricier side, but the quality speaks for itself. and the staff is always happy to give samples (which i 100% took advantage of lol)

Yelp
Yummy flavors- we tried the almond brittle with ganache, sea salt and caramel ribbon, ginger bread cookie with rum (how it taste but not the actual name), I tried olive oil ice cream - surprisingly delicious, and honey lavender, tasted like air freshener! Hah hah! What a perfect way for a night cap after a fun day at the park!

Yelp
Amazing combos. While they were advertising a smack down between apple cider doughnut and pumpkin ice creams, they did not have the pumpkin yet. Sad face. Samples are encouraged and I did try the apple cider doughnut concoction which was good but I went with the pear and blue cheese ice cream instead. It was delicious. Salt & Straw also had some wasabi, olive oil and other creative flavors. If there had not been a line, I would have asked for more samples but I did love the pear/blue cheese combo. Waffle cones were delicious. This is a must stop in Downtown Disney.
