I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 20 years and yesterday I had maybe the best customer service experience EVER in my life. I was not able to get the young man’s name but I have this picture here that he let me take. This young man was so warm and hospitable towards everyone who walked in the store. He was very patient with me and all my sampling requests which was probably annoying because I came at a busy time, but his positive attitude never wavered. His smile lit up my day and made my ice cream taste even sweeter than it already was! I loved my experience with that young man so much that I might only get ice cream from salt in straw from now on! He also gives the best scoops, filled with a lot of joy… and ice cream as well, so request him if you can. Hopefully he is working there the next time I go, so that I can get his name and thank him for his incredible service. Salt and Straw, you found a good one.

Google
Decadent ice cream that feels homemade. Have ice cream your way here - in a cup, in a waffle cone, as a milkshake, as a sundae with whipped cream, split your scoops, even try a flight! You can get a treat for your pup and your kid! The sprinkles are super vibrant in color. You’re welcome to try as many flavors as you’d like and the place smells like waffle cones freshly made. They have a large fridge with pints you can take home to go. There’s a nice space to sit down along the back wall or if you’d like to perch up by the window it’s a great space for viewing out at activities happening along Manhattan We got their Double Fold Vanilla with added sprinkles and it was around $7 for a scoop in a cup. Kid sizes are about $1 less, and the portions are better suited for kids too. I love the classy slot they have to put used spoons in. Employees are super friendly and are happy to offer suggestions. Please be sure to tip them!

Google
Awesome place to be at especially during sunset, as they have an awesome view of the pier from just outside the shop. Very interesting flavors that’s worth trying if you’re feeling adventurous! Otherwise the regular flavors they have are very well done too. Scoops are pretty huge so either order a half/half or share with a friend!

Google
Fun place to visit either from the beach or passing through town. The service was fantastic. Very efficient as the line was very long but only waited a few mins! The ice cream was one of the best I've had!!

Google
Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever experienced. For me, the standout (after many tastings) was the Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons ❤️❤️

Google
Amazing experience! We were helped by Brandon. He’s super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient while I sampled different flavors. He had great recommendations and made sure I left with the perfect scoop. The service was top-notch, and the ice cream, as always, was incredible. Definitely coming back—thanks, Brandon!

Google
It’s our first time here. We were trying to figure out flavors. The server gave us a sad face through out the way. I requested to try a sample twice and she just pretend she didn’t hear it. We ended up switching to another server. Regarding the ice cream, not so impressed. I would prefer Manhattan beach creamery cross the street, much better quality and with a local vibe and much more friendly service.

Google
Really great, loved it!! Got GoNanas Strawberry Caramel Banana Bread and Chocolate Brownie Fudge. Both were so delicious! We also tasted other flavors and everyone is exactly what it says. Highly recommend it. And make sure you get the waffle cones, yummy!

Yelp
Great first experience here. I'm not big on spending $$$ for ice cream, but today I wanted to treat myself and apologize for the fiancé for getting on her nerves more than normal today. The employee behind the counter was very friendly, attentive and super helpful. She was awesome. The interior was clean and the ambiance was great. I sampled nearly all the flavors they had ONLY because no other person was waiting to order behind me. Please don't be that person having every sample with a line forming behind you, lol. I paid, with tip included, $16 for 2 single scoops.

Yelp
My son and I visited this location this afternoon and out of the mouth of a child - mom, did you feel like people were staring at us. How does a parent respond to that? Especially when I felt awkward myself - out of place, but I was going to keep that feeling to myself. I want to be clear, we were not mistreated in any way. The employees were professional and other patrons, well their "body language" was speaking a different language. Why? One could speculate. I won't ding Salt & Straw for the community looking at "folks" funny. I won't disclose our race but we are the minority not the majority in Manhattan. Let's jump right into this review. What did we order? Honey Lavender - Calling all Lavender lovers. Pounds of lavender petals in local honey, bringing out more complex, herbaceous flavors than you've ever experienced. **Woo hoo!!! This flavor is a no brainer if you like Lavender. Love the potency of the Lavender that is Intergrated well with the honey** Cinnamon Snickedoodle - House-baked chewy snickerdoodle cookies into ice cream that's spiked with the most intensely spiced, warm cinnamon. Bananas Foster with Candied Pecans - MONTHLY SERIES FLAVOR Bananas Foster is a recreation of its signature flavor by simmering ripe bananas, dark rum, brown sugar, and spices into a rich caramel, then drizzle it into a banana-infused coconut cream. Crunchy candied pecans add pops of texture and a touch of nutty bitterness. ** If you love bananas, you will live this flavor!!!** One scoop is $6.50 in a cup. Cones and bowls = extra. Pros 1. You can sample flavors, as many as you like, try all of them if you like. 2. Establishment was clean with some indoor seating available. The inside is asethically pleasing - exposed wood and modern. 3. They sell unique flavors. The pairing of odd ball ingredients is pretty genuis. Cons 1. This location is in the Manhattan Beach area and base on our experience - perhaps people of our skin complexion don't visit often but we felt uncomfortable and received stares. 2. Parking will be a challenge. Hopefully you can find parking on one of the meters close by or on one of the side streets. My son and I have been to the Culver City location and didn't experience feeling awkward or being stared at. Go figure. But, we were treated with respect, ice cream was delicious, and prices are what they are. You pay for what you get. I'm willing to pay the price for delicious ice cream. I would go back. You may want to know why, well, stares I cannot control and the feeling awkard is something I can overlook. My money spends just like the next patron. As long as I am treated with respect, I will consider the patrons are just captivated by me and my son's beauty. 10 toes down and 10 fingers up, Salt & Straw is leading in the flavor game. If you looking for some delicious ice cream - pull up and try Salt & Straw.

Yelp
Ripped off. I wanted a split cup child size. Server wouldn't oblige even though I got it at Abbot Kinney location the same week. And then when I was served, my "Single" was smaller than my kids cup at AK. Rip off. Never coming here again. Even if it's cute and open air. Maybe they need to weigh the ice cream dispensed? Disappointed. TL/dr: overpriced tiny scoops

Yelp
Salt and Star is a gem. I tried the single scoop of double-fold vanilla ice cream in a cup, and it was incredible. The texture was creamy, and the flavor was rich and perfectly balanced. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the care in their craft really shows. The staff were kind and attentive, and the space had a warm, welcoming vibe. This is a place worth returning to again.

Yelp
Very popular ice cream chain. They have a monthly flavor theme that changes, was there for the brewery themed month but not the biggest fan. The ice creams just tasted like the beer without much of the other flavors. I got a scoop of the lavender honey (part of the main menu) which was good but I've had better. The line can get really long but the service is nice considering they have so many people to deal with. It's a popular tourist attraction and really close to the beach but there's definitely better ice cream out there.

Yelp
Typically Salt & Straw is amazing, but this location isn't as good as the others. The service was a little rushed (granted we came in a bit before they closed), but I've been to other locations before they close and they're a lot more friendly and don't rush you. ended up with one of the new flavors tried, but regretted it later and just picked it because they said we needed to pick right away. Ice Cream: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 3/5

Yelp
Simply the best! So glad this is so close to home. Every time we are in the area, Salt & Straw is a mandatory visit. Love that they allow samples, my husband and I always like to try their new flavors. Our favorite is the chocolate gooey brownie, rich chocolate base with chunks of soft brownie, YUM! I happen to love their honey lavender and salted, malted cookie dough flavor as well. Can't forget they have amazingly delicious homemade waffle cones! People behind the counter are always so kind and helpful. The space is bright and spacious. Love this new addition to the South Bay!

Yelp
Great, great great great great location! Walking distance to the beach. I'm pretty sure the lease must be high but looking at the volume this place gets .. judging by the 12 people that were ahead of me in line at 2 PM this afternoon I'm sure they're doing all right. I had the chance to try three of their brewery series flavors today . Writing this review because of how awesome my top choice was . If you get a chance, I highly recommend you try the monkish hazy IPA ice cream . They don't have it where you can get scoops right now, but they may have a few pints in the back. I really loved the flavor combination of this pint and even with the drive all the way here from Torrance to snag one I was glad I did. This really does taste like beer, but in the best possible way.. It's super Dank/Hoppy, but also citrusy salty and a little creamy. Reading the list of ingredients definitely makes sense the grapefruit zest and even the touch of guava extract really comes through and pairs really well with the galaxy hops that I think are used in the monkish hazy IPA, which is also used to make this ice cream. Also, bravo for the name of this pint! Seriously had me at "Space Cookies " if you catch my drift . Genius, absolutely genius. This one's for Portland. Salt and straw really does do the PDX proud . My second favorite option today was the Porter bread, pudding, ice cream which really reminds me of Ireland. I never had the chance to try Murphy's Brown Bread Ice Cream when I was there but I imagine it would be similar to this creamy , earthy, highly satisfying , warm your heart type of ice cream! Third place goes to the barrel, age, chocolate, stout ice cream, which you would love if you're really a big fan of chocolatey stouts as this is what this is make no mistake about it ! Check them out while you still have the chance as again these are all limited edition pints here for the month of June/July.

Yelp
Ordered the lucky charms inspired ice cream and it was so good. I'm a big fan of the cereal especially the marshmallows and this ice cream flavor hit the spot. Small seating area inside with a few tables but walking distance to enjoy on the pier. Service is average.

Yelp
This was my first time at Salt & Straw, and I really enjoyed it. We went to the Manhattan Beach location, and the people were so sweet and helpful when trying to choose the best flavor. I was amazed by the unique flavors they provide and how fresh the flavors are. They allow you to taste test, so be sure you try a couple of different flavors before you choose the one you want. The store is not super large inside, but there is a place for seating if you want, but going go the location near the beach is the perfect opportunity to grab a cool treat while walking along the beach.

Yelp
I consider myself an ice cream expert and it is my expert opinion that salt and straw is MY FAVORITE. $8 dollar ice cream? Sounds kind of crazy but I keep coming back!! Salt and straw has an amazing selection of flavors and I love how they always have unique ones coming up like olive oil, goat cheese and even fish sauce. But I always get my go-to, the honey lavender. The ice cream is creamy but never heavy and perfectly smooth. The honey lavender is the perfect balance of sweet and floral, and the lavender notes are strong but not soapy or chemically tasting. Service is always great, and while the prices are steep, the scoops are pretty big. The waffle cones are a must, and they make them fresh. There isn't much seating inside, but this location is the by the beach so you can grab a cone and walk to the pier to enjoy.

Yelp
Finally there's a location in the South Bay! It's in downtown Manhattan Beach so parking may be difficult, especially on weekends. I recommend looking for the limited parking structures. I came at night so it wasn't hard to find. It's a busy store with the line starting out the door. However, it goes real fast! There are also a few seats inside, but you can find seats all through the downtown area. Salt & Straw is probably one of the best ice cream places in LA. They have unique flavors but some traditional ones as well. There's always a rotating menu. I got the huckleberry cornbread pudding this last time, but their birthday cake or honey lavender is pretty good too. I got the kids size since the portions are pretty big. They also have prepackaged pints or a birthday cake in the fridge. Don't forget the dog babies! They have pup cups in the fridge for your four legged babies. Service is great. They give you samples and are so patient about it. I tried 3 flavors and was hesitant on the flavor and she wasn't rushing me at all. Will come back if I can find parking. If I'm at the beach, this is a must go spot.

Yelp
Currently still craving their peanut butter brittle caramel fudge! It was absolutely delish and dairy-free which is perfect for me. It has the perfect savory and sweet balance and I should've gotten two scoops. This location was pretty busy but they moved quickly. We waited less than 10 minutes to be able to sample different flavors and order our final choice. There is seating but most people took it to go.

Yelp
Had the blackberry tamale one, another seasonal favorite. Line was short. Another amazing visit.

Yelp
The yummiest ice cream!! Beautiful ice cream shop. Service was great. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon and there was a long line but it passed pretty quickly. - depending on the time and day parking can be tough in this area - clean - quality is great - so many options for all diets
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place and am SUPER excited they opened this location in Manhattan Beach. My favorite has always been the honey lavender. (You can sample any flavor u want before ordering.) And be on the lookout for their seasonal flavors curated by their Head Ice Cream Maker. You can see them making the waffle bowls and cones fresh which is why the shop smells amazing. If the line is long, you can skip the line if you're buying a pint (which is also more cost efficient). That's what I always did when I went to the other locations because they weee so far from home. The shop is super cute and there is some bench seating located inside.

Yelp
I am a bit emotional.. My favorite ice cream has FINALLY arrived in South Bay. We used to drive to Larchmont, then to Abbot Kinney to Culver City, and now literally in my backyard, in Manhattan Beach Pier. The artisan ice cream shops have different unique flavors every month. They make it in small batches. They also have some flavors that's everyday menu. PLEASE bring back the roasted strawberry & Toasted White Chocolate. It's so good! It was perfect timing to open in the summer because I was not very fond of MB Creamery across the street. Lol. Parking is hard but not too difficult. Some spots on the streets or park in the metered structure behind the building. Expect a line at the shop (but goes quickly).

Yelp
Food: I'm not really an ice cream person when it comes to dessert... BUT Salt & Straw made me a fan. This is the ONLY ice cream i crave for. For the month I went, I ordered the Compartes Batter. It was so good that I asked my partner to get me a pint sized of it the following week. The ice cream does in fact have somewhat a salty flavor but not too much. It has the perfect balance. Service: The workers were VERY patient which I 100% grateful for since I tried at least 5-6 flavors before picking the one i like. Ambiance: This Salt & Straw is right by Manhattan Beach. They don't have any seating inside, but since the beach is right there, you're able to eat ice cream and look at the ocean
google avatar

Yelp
Came in to sample some ice cream and check it out, ended up leaving with a 2 scoop cone and 2 pints to take home. Thanks Evelyn for your warm hospitable service. She shared her favorite seasonal flavors with me, and I couldn't get enough!

Yelp
Love, love, and love this place!! I love the fact that Salt & Straw opened up in my neighborhood. Everything is amazing here!! High quality ice cream and enjoyed their prompt customer service. Also enjoyed the simplistic ambiance. Expect lines during the weekends and parking can be challenging especially the fact that the city closed the parking structure. Highly recommended!!
google avatar

Samantha P.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream that draws you in because the smell is so wonderful that you can smell it when you're walking by. They'll let you sample as many flavors before you choose the one you want which is an awesome bonus! Great customer service and wonderful location. They even have pup cups for my dog, Morris.
google avatar

Yelp
I have coworkers who live and work in Portland and they had told me about this place years ago. There was one like in Marina Del Rey or something like that (either way too far for me to want to go try) and last year I got a present from my team and got some pints delivered to me and wow I loved them they have some kookie weird flavors but hey why not? when I saw that they had opened one more near to me in Manhattan Beach I thought hey I am going over there to eat anyways so I am going to stop by and glad I did I had their goat cheese berry habanero and double vanillas scoops and yummmmy it was delicious! The line wasnt long but then again it was like 430pm so maybe thats why but still it was great friendly service I got to try a few other flavors like the rainbow pot of gold which is lucky charms and also peaches with blue cheese which I loved too!
google avatar

Marisa Y.

Yelp
After many years, I've finally had a chance to try salt & straw. I didn't realize how busy this ice cream shop gets! I came with some friends on a Wednesday night and there was a line out the door. They have an interesting selection of ice cream flavors. Some of them were thanksgiving themed. I had a chance to sample the cheesy potato casserole and it was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I decided to play it safe and got a scoop of the honey lavender flavor because I heard it's one of their popular flavors. The staff were very helpful and patient. There's not too much space indoor to eat your ice cream, but luckily it's right next to the manhattan pier.
google avatar

Alona L.

Yelp
I love salt and straw and have been to many locations. When they opened up in MB next to another creamery I was not sure it was a good move (Manhattan Beach Creamery is a staple and has been there forever) but they seem to co-exist and both get good crowds. I like that S&S rotates the flavors and I love their waffle cones. If you go after sunset and then grab your ice-cream and get outside you get a wonderful view.
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
So aesthetically pleasing. Always clean, spacious and prompt Service. I've had every flavor even the seasonal ones and they are all so very delicious! Some sweet, some savory and some both. The prices aren't half bad and being able to Walk out to the water to enjoy is a huge plus. I recommend stopping by every chance I get.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of salt and sweet flavors - and the sea salt with caramel and salted, malted cookie dough passed the test! This spot is right up from the beach, and ooo you can smell the aroma from the waffle cones as you pass this spot on the way down to the water. It's impossible to resist. *FOOD* I got a cup of the salted, malted cookie dough and it was delicious. I usually don't get cookie dough at ice cream shops, but this cookie dough was not like the rest. It was salty to balance the sweet and had large chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough - but it wasn't overpowering. *SERVICE* Before ordering, I was first asked what flavors I wanted to try. After naming one flavor I got asked - "any more flavors?" - which made me so excited! I usually feel bad asking for lots of samples then end up regretting not trying a certain one. That won't happen here! I was so pleasantly surprised that I was encouraged to try several flavors to ensure I was satisfied. *PARKING* They don't have a parking lot of their own - only street parking right in front. However, there are some parking decks a short walk from the shop. I can't wait to visit again and try more flavors!

Yelp
Brand new location in Manhattan Beach. Busy tourist area very close to the beach and pier. Great stop before heading down to the beach or after a swim. Long lines all day today but that's nothing new for any Salt & Straw location. I have yet to see a location with no lines. Can't blame the customers, the ice cream is really good, especially with the freshly made waffle cones. I loved the chocolate mint and the chocolate flavors. The line moved pretty fast while we were there. Friendly team members that work really hard. Patient customers as well. Great location and ambiance.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Lines were out the door and down the block. The staff handled the big crowd very well. I noticed them being very attentive to everyone and also making sure the location was clean with all the traffic. This months Berries series was really good. I would actually recommend the full july limited edition (except for a the goat cheese one lol)

Jenn s.

Yelp
Favorite ice cream in town! Incredible flavors, limited ingredients and pricing that feels like a bargain next to the over priced Creamery. We had a great visit yesterday with Devon who was so kind and really made our day. Can't wait to go back again!
google avatar

Francisco D.

Yelp
I love salt and straw! The salted caramel ribbons is definitely my favorite thus far. I like how they give samples to try different flavors and the service is superior. The ambiance is definitely your typical ice cream shop so you don't really have much room to hang around during peak hours. Overall, would definitely recommend if you're in the area especially if you have a sweet tooth!
google avatar

Kaycee K.

Yelp
They only had 2 vegan options on the menu (and one I couldn't eat because it had peanut butter in it), but the chocolate mint chip ice cream was SO GOOD. Lots of little chocolate shavings and a smooth not coco nutty tasting minty base! But what really stood out to me was the service and attention to food allergies. We asked if they used the same ice cream scoop to scoop their ice cream, since I have a severe peanut allergy, and the server said he could get a fresh scoop for me from the back! (They must have run out of the mint chip because we saw him come back out to the front and grab a pint from the freezer out in front haha). Definitely will come back if I'm in the area!

Yelp
We've tried Salt & Straw a bunch of times at various locations, but started coming here pretty frequently due to having dinner nearby often! -PISTACHIO W/ SAFFRON & ROSE WATER (5/5): Hands-down the best ice cream we've EVER had. Period. That's a pretty high accolade because always have a pint or two of ice cream in our freezer (sweet tooth, anyone?) and like our premium ice creams (e.g., Jeni's, Straus Creamery). Wow, I almost want to go back and stock up on a couple pints right now because this flavor is seasonal and once it's gone, it's gone. - Rhubard Crumble w/ Toasted Anise (4.5/5): Another seasonal one, reminds me of Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp! - Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons (4.5/5): Baskin Robbins 31 Gold Medal Ribbon throwback! - Jasmine Milk Tea & Chocolate Almond Stracciatella (4/5): Good but a little too subtle compared to the other flavors - Honey Lavender (4/5): Good but it's pretty one dimensional and gets tiring after a few bites/licks - Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper (3.75/5): Think this one was good but not as good as the Honey Lavender - Strawberry & Coconut Water Sherbet (3.5/5): Think this one was good but not craveworthy - Pear & Blue Cheese (3/5): I think the blue cheese was interesting at first but got tiring after a while PARKING: Public parking structures nearby, otherwise meter parking in front!

Yelp
Been here twice, second time got V.I.P parking right in front of the ice cream shop, but previously I parked in a mini parking structure up the street and walked down. I'm a fan of Salt & Straw and have been to the DTLA, Anaheim and Pasadena locations, but Manhattan Beach is the best because it's a short walk to the pier to take in the view and the delicious ice cream. My go to is the Coffee ice cream paired with one of the new flavors of the week/month. This location is less crowded than the other locations by far and when there is a line it moves fast. Their ice cream flavors are so unique and almost sound disgusting (olive oil ice cream) but once you get a free sample of it it's actually really good. Highly recommend this spot and it's especially good for a date night.
google avatar

Shanell M.

Yelp
A wonderful experience! The person working was so patient telling me about the different flavors and also letting me sample them. I was in heaven with the two flavors I got. And the waffle cone was super yummy! The view and walk to the beach wasn't shabby either.

Yelp
This place has been the source of my happiness lately. I love going to salt and straw and getting my favorite scoop of ice cream! My favorite ice cream is the salted malted chocolate cookie dough. I never get tired of it and it just hits every time! I highly recommend trying a salt and straw by you!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite ice cream spot. Delicious ice cream and friendly service. What more can I say :)

Yelp
Ice cream is great. There is always a long line but it moves real fast. The ambience is good. I highly recommend you visit this ice cream shop

Yelp
I was so glad to finally try this place. Every S and S I go to had a line out the door. Fortunately I stumbled upon this location while in the area and they had just opened - which meant NO LINE (yess!) The person behind the counter was very friendly and encouraged me to try several flavors which I of course I obliged. All were pretty tasty I went with the honey lavender and although it tasted sort of like an essential oil I was still into it. There was a fruit and jalapeño one that was super delicious too. It had just a tad bit too much lingering spice on my tongue though.
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite ice cream places. Takes gourmet ice cream to another level. They have so many unique flavors and make their waffle cones fresh. The scoops are generous and the workers are always nice and helpful. While it's on the expensive side it's a really quality place and always reliable for killer ice cream.

Bisma A.

Yelp
Worst salt and straw ever. The attitude and professionalism is the worst ever. Never going back

Yelp
Food - This place is high quality ice cream (and gelato)!!! We used to drive 45 min as a special date night activity just to satisfy our craving of REAL ice cream. Don't let the line or $$$ turn you away. This place is special. I posted that I went here this past Sunday, and dozens of people asked me about it. This place is KNOWN and for good reason. Also, the line went to the street light but only took 10-15 min tops and it was enjoyable as we tried several flavors while waiting. Service - The workers over the weekend were sharing their favorite flavors with the line as samples and I particularly appreciated that they used metal reusable sample spoons in a very cleanly manner. Once we got to the tubs of ice cream, they even let me sample another (even though I was very embarrassed in doing so, they made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed my experience to determine what my "flavor" of the night was. Ambiance - P R I M E location next to the sand. If you are on the strand or hanging on the sand near the pier, definitely walk over and get yourself some ice cream. You can even plan a date night to watch the sunset (it is that close). You can also order ahead or get pints to go. The inside has 3 small tables with benches & some counter seating. On the weekends, don't count on this being available. It is very busy with strollers & crowds coming in & out. Just plan to enjoy on the pier, sand, or maybe the park. The workers are all very friendly! Shout out to everyone working Sunday evening... I talked to each and every one of you and all y'all were positive, excited, and some were slightly shocked how busy it was. Thank you for treating me & my husband to an amazing date night.

Yelp
another wonderful addition to dtmb! ive been to salt&straw in LA and SD and they never disappoint visited in the evening there wasn't a long line, maybe 3 groups ahead of me the line went quick, as i was debated on which flavor i wanted salt & straw are known for their unique flavors, they will give samples on their flavors! just ask :) they have different flavors every month, so make sure to check in the staff were friendly and efficient stores vibes were great, clean, and seating avail inside it is just a bit on the pricier end for one scoop $6.50 i got a scoop of their chocolate gooey brownie 5/5 def on the sweeter side but bomb!! parking: street or parking lots
google avatar

Sara I.

Yelp
So glad they added a S&S to MB. Love their creative ice cream flavors that drop each month as well as their classics. A block or two off the strand, this is a great place to grab some ice cream while on a walk or when at the beach. Their ice cream scoops are a bit expensive but well worth it in my opinion. There's always a line here and not much room to eat inside the shop, but they do offer free samples of anything you want to try.

Yelp
Happy to say that this time that I went to Salt & Straw the ice cream was much better. Looking at some of my previous reviews, I had noted that some of the ice cream that came out was liquidy and or just seems like I wasn't getting what I paid for. This time I want to say that that has changed. The staff was incredibly nice and we're allowing us to try as many flavors as we wanted before we decided. Very clean inside. They were nice enough to give us some pretty sizable scoops, much more than I got in my double last time I ordered one. Staff was more attentive than they have been in the past. Several times that we have gone the staff seem to be completely out of it. Glad to see that the ice cream and staff are doing better! Definitely will be going back again!

Yelp
The ice cream here is outstanding! They always offer a variety of unique flavors, and even though they sound insane, they are really insanely delicious! Prices are fair considering the quality and effort they put into their product. Their homemade waffle cone is a must, perfect treat on a hot day!

Yelp
Amazing ice cream flavors! Very smooth and creamy. Absolute deliciousness. If you have not yet tried, it's a MUST. The staff is also the sweetest and let me try a lot of flavors before deciding what I wanted to get

Yelp
So delicious We ordered salted chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper, and goat cheese marionberry habanero. Really tasty and unusual. Come try it!

Yelp
I loved the pistachio w/saffron & rose water ice cream too bad it is a limited edition flavor, and Mirna enjoyed the coffee & love nuts. Amazing service as usual, Liz made us believers in what true service is all about.. with friendly staff like LIZ, no wonder this place is always hopping
