🍦 A Must Try Ice Cream Experience! 🍓🧀☕️ Salt & Straw is such an amazing place! Their unique and creative flavors blew us away we tried Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper, Strawberry & Coconut Water Sherbet, Pear & Blue Cheese, and Coffee & Love Nuts. I honestly can’t pick a favorite… I loved them ALL! We ordered online and picked up everything was ready right on time. After that, we walked over to the fountains to enjoy our ice cream with a beautiful view. One of the coolest things? They offer ice cream perfume you can spray on top! I didn’t try it this time, but I’m definitely checking it out on our next visit. I’ve never seen anything like that before! Can’t wait to come back and try more flavors. 💫🍨

Anne was such a kind-hearted sweet soul. Amazing customer service, and very helpful as well. As somebody who’s never been to salt and straw I didn’t know which flavor to choose as there was so many delicious options to choose from. Anne was very patient with me and helped me decide on getting the chocolate gooey brownie. I haven’t always been a fan on very chocolatey ice creams but I got a sample and her recommendation was amazing. Safe to say I’ll absolutely be returning this location and hopefully Anne serves me again next time I go. This experience truly made my day, thank you Anne! :)

She took the best care of us, and let’s just say I’m not shy about the samples. She gave the best recommendations and made it a whole experience for me and my friend. Whatever she’s paid, double it. I’LL DEFINITELY BE BACK.

Amazing service here! Anne was me and my husband’s server, She did fabulous! She helped both of us sample the thanksgiving series in the order of a dinner. She was amazing at describing the flavors and very witty. My favorite is the Cranberry Orange Sherbet so tart and refreshing! If you’re there ask for Anne.

We walked in and were immediately helped by Rebekah (unsure of the spelling I got her name from her coworker but funny we share the same name). She was so sweet and very descriptive in all of the new cereal flavors letting us know the inspiration and source behind each flavor. We tried so many samples but she was still so patient and helpful. It’s never a bad experience when we come to salt and straw but she made it even better. Would definitely come back to this location for amazing ice cream and service.

SHOUT OUT TO ANNE!!! Anne was above & beyond in helping me. This was my first experience at Salt & Straw and I will definitely be back. Her service was impeccable and she encouraged me to try as many flavors as I wanted and was not rude if I asked to try another flavor to compare again. Ultimately I chose the Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbon for my husband and I to enjoy! Next time we’ll go for the Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. When you go ask for Anne, Thanks Anne.

I went here today and found myself conflicted regarding what to get. The staff was so nice and suggested I try several flavors. I had a hard time choosing one so treated myself to a half scoop of snap n crackle marshmallow tear and chocolate gooey brownie in a waffle cone. (Yes a half scoop!--so nice so I didn't have to get two scoops to have two flavors!) It was like having a frozen s'mores. My tastebuds were over the moon. I highly suggest. It was so delicious I forgot to get a photo :( I'll get one next time--I'm def going back. The shop is cute and it is super convenient located in the middle of the fountains. I highly suggest coming here for special and everyday occasions to get your ice cream fix.

Ok. I really loved the place the first time my wife brought it home. Chocolate gooey brownie is perfection. So we decided to take all the kids here and they were sampling things... I don't typically sample things once I know what I like. However, the kids were sampling and because it was the Halloween season, they had a selection of Halloween flavors including one called "Creepy Crawly Critters" and my son tried it, handed it to me, I tried it and it didn't taste good at all. In fact, it tasted a bit foul. But, you can't please all pallets and I thought it was a marketing gimmick to attract kids. We get our ice cream and sit outside. It was a beautiful day and I still had this aftertaste that was not pleasant. That was when my daughter read the window flyer that had all of the flavors and with the specific Halloween flavors, the contents.... Now that I ate crickets and mealy worms I don't know how I feel about it all. First, we live in California where there are signs everywhere warning people of hazards which include signs next to pools that alert people that death by drowning is possible. I mean, they even had a "V" next to the vegan options. But the flavor that had bugs? Not even a warning from the attendant. Nope- nothing. Full send. Immediately I thought, "wow, what a complete miss. It tastes foul, and even a bit rancid." It made ice cream kinda gross and keep in mind, I had no idea it had bugs in it yet. The taste lingered, and lingered and lingered. As I was sharing my scoop of chocolate gooey brownie with my wife, my daughter busted up laughing and said to my son, you sampled the one crickets and mealy worms!!! Which meant I also sampled it. Over all the ice cream here is kinda hit and miss. I have had other flavors that do not have bugs in it and find they tend to miss the mark on many of them but on some they nail it. For instance, the vegan peanut butter is killer. The salted caramel is too salty. Leaving out my experience of the bugs, I would say 3 stars mostly because of consistency. Having said that, the base of the ice cream is well done meaning it is creamy, and doesn't lack for quality. The service is solid but again, I think it would be nice if they explained the contents of the more exotic flavors. Kinda like a wine tasting. The servers provided samples quickly and they use metal spoons that make sampling much better. Finally they provide a good size scoop of ice cream for the price. Four stars. The ambiance is a bit lacking. There is an out of place retail spot and no tables or benches inside to sit. The flow of people makes it awkward to accomplish this so enjoying anything inside would be difficult. Plus, the flow itself lends to backed up lines quickly if people sample the items. Stars- 3 Would I be back? Yes, but mostly because of the flavor I love. It is wonderful. If that were to be rotated out, I would probably pass by. I do know that many people love the place and I can see the appeal. The ice cream itself as a base is excellent. There just seems to be some quirky elements that didn't land with me. I would, given the above, score this a solid three. However, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and provide an additional star- why? Well, any ice cream store crazy enough to serve bugs in their ice cream is part of the group of people crazy enough to change the world. That deserves praise and reward!!

"Whenever I'm near a Salt & Straw ice cream shop, I have to stop, even if I'm not particularly craving something sweet. I always enjoy browsing their unique and often bizarre flavor combinations. This evening, we tried the 'Essence of Ghost' flavor, and I was intrigued - what could the essence of a ghost possibly taste like? To my surprise, it had a flavor that I can only describe as creamy velvet licorice. This is a limited-time flavor, so if you're in the area, I highly recommend asking for a sample."

Our go-to for ice cream everytime we're in Roseville! Luv luv their unique flavors, but my #1 is malted, chocolate..something something..LOL, followed by the coffee and love nuts!

Fantastic, delicious ice cream. Friendly service. Innovative flavors. A must taste. The only black mark was the long line but it was worth the wait.

We had heard of the great ice cream they offer and very unique flavors. We were in the area and thought we would check it out. We were greeted right away. You can ask to taste any flavor. They have little spoons to taste. They also have a different series of flavors that change as well as standard flavors. Hard to choose since the flavors are so good.

Jace was great! He took us through the journey of the Chocolatier Series, discussed the flavor profiles in each one, and was very patient with us while we were sampling. We all loved Almond Gold Bar with salted caramel the best! This shop is always so serene and calming, with pup cups and pints conveniently refrigerated by the checkout. I was very much looking forward to New Flavor Friday & it did not disappoint! Thank you Jace!

May Flowers Series: Jasmine Milk Tea Almond Stracciatella Pistachio with Saffron & Rose Water Rhubarb Crumble with Toasted Anise Lemon Mari Gold Amaro Sherbet Classic Flavors: Sea Salt Caramel Ribbon Double Fold Vanilla Chocolate Gooey Brownie Coffee & Love Nuts Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cinnamon Snickerdoodle Honey Lavender Strawberry Honey Balsamic Black Pepper Pear & Blue Cheese Arbequina Olive Oil Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip (v) Strawberry Coconut Water Sherbet (v) Peanut Buttle Brittle Caramel Fudge (v) Leaving Soon Limited (Chocolatier Series): Exquisito Chocolate Passionfruit Truffles (v) Cloudforest Chocolate Ishpingo & Mango While in line some of the merch available for sale included ice cream S&S scoops/scoopers, and tester bottles of Culinary Perfume (edible fragrance) you can spritz. I sampled both of the leaving-soon flavors from the Chocolatier series. The Cloudforest one had mango curds, lemon, chocolate, and ishpingo which is a cinnamon-like Ecuadorian spice. This was okay, but the truffles in the Exquisito won me over. I got one scoop of the vegan Exquisito Chocolate Passionfruit Truffles in a cup, then got back in line and promptly got another scoop of the same in a sugar cone. This was a simple vanilla coconut cream with intense canary yellow passionfruit coconut cream, with shards of Exquisito chocolate truffles and stracciatella. Exquisito (based in Miami) uses 70% dark single-origin Lachua Guatemalan chocolate. I don't always go with the vegan option, but in this case the flavors convinced me! I liked the tart fruitiness and the chocolate together. My companion recommended the coffee and pistachio ones too. Parking as expected, where you might luck out and snag one right in front/across. Three to four staff scooping, so the line moves fast. Pints are available near the register for purchase as well. Price okay for the quality, next time I might try a split scoop or waffle cone.

Tried about 2 different flavors before deciding. I got the 2 scoop (halves) in the waffle cone and the cone was a better type of waffle cone. My first time and the original flavors were delicious. Will definitely try different flavors the next time.

I love the ice cream. It tastes amazing at any Salt and Straw location. I went in today and had very bad service. Very impolite workers, understaffed, small scoops (for a $7+ cup of ice cream, the portion is sad). Wish I had more good things to say about this location, too bad it lacks in those aspects.

It was a cold blustery day when I was bopping about in the Roseville Fountains shopping plaza. And of course, I couldn't pass up stopping in Salt & Straw. I'm lactose intolerant and there aren't alot of ice cream vendors offering vegan ice cream. But Salt & Straw does. Hurray! They had four vegan options which I understand rotate. Salt & Strawberry allows for sampling prior to purchase. So I did. Don't feel guilty, the gentleman before me sampled over five. Go for it. The server was super attentive and downright hospitable. She didn't blink an eye. No judgements. Vegan Flavors: -Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip -Chocolate Passionfruit Truffle - It's a limited edition flavor. I sampled it and it had a bold, tarty fruit flavor with subtle hints of chocolate. -Marionberry Coconut Sherbet - I sampled this and dug it. It had a significant coconut flavor with marionberry. Those berries adding touches of sweetness leaving the coconut the star. -Peanut Butter Brittle Chocolate Fudge - I ordered this. Yum! Sure enough, it tasted like peanut butter with ribbons of fudge. Both equally starring in this flavor. I wasn't always lactose intolerant and recall what creamy whole milk ice cream tastes like. Let me tell ya, Salt & Straw makes some darn tasty vegan ice cream. Another thing to note that Salt & Straws don't have indoor seating. That's the Salt & Straw concept. However, they do usually place their locations in areas with outdoor public seating. Fountains have a couple of communal outdoor plaza seating areas and sidewalk benches scattered about. But on this cold, rainy day, I sheltered in my car to devour my ice cream.

Yummy! I have heard of Salt & Straw before and I have only been one time. The location I went to was at the Fountains in Roseville, CA. The other location I heard about was in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA. I heard people rave about the ice cream. I looked at their menu and saw that they had vegan options which is good since I am a vegetarian. I got a cup of the strawberry coconut ice cream (which was vegan) upon the recommendation of one of the workers there. I saw that it was made with coconut milk. It was so delicious and creamy that I was thinking when I go back, I have to get another cup of it. What I liked about this ice cream shop is that it is very clean and there is a refrigerator inside the shop that sells pints of their ice cream; ahh so awesome. I wanna to go back and try other vegan ice creams and maybe buy a pint of it too for home. Very delicious. Recommend.

We've been to other Salt & Straw locations and love that one is in Roseville. The inside has no seating but there's plenty of outdoor space to sit by the fountains. The staff was friendly and helpful with letting us taste a couple flavors. We love that there's some classic flavors but also adventurous ones. We love the chocolate gooey brownie. One day we'll have to try pear and blue cheese. Their ice cream is rich but not too decadent. The prices are a little on the higher end. One of favorite things about Salt & Straw is they use real spoons instead of plastic for tasting. Our kids love putting the spoon in the little slots. Overall it's a great addition to the Fountains!

I had heard of this ice cream place and have been wanting to try their unique and fun flavors. I initially showed up for their grand opening to get a $1 scoop but they cut off the line around 6:30 pm, 30 min before the promotion ended so I didn't get to try it that night which left me disappointed. The lady who cut the line off was also rude. Im guessing she was tired from the day and telling so many people the line was cut off. Nevertheless I tried again and got to try various holiday flavors. Tried the spiked egg nog, gingerbread, peppermint cocoa and almond brittle with salted ganache. They really encourage you to try as many flavors as you would like before deciding. I ended up ordering the almond brittle and salted ganache. I really loved the sweet and salty mixture! Despite the bad first impression, I would return. I like that they change up their menu and have various flavors of the month.

FOOD - Peanut Butter Brittle with Caramel Fudge: ugh, so good! You got me at peanut butter! And I love the crunch. I don't know what was in it that made it taste coconutty but I liked it. 5/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: My son asked if we can come back soon so I guess I'm returning!

The ice cream itself is 5/5! Not too sweet and doesn't taste artificial. They have unique sophisticated flavors that one can appreciate it, and their seasonal menu changes often. The only downside about this particular location is that there is no seating indoors at all. The staff were good about giving recommendations and allowing us to sample.

New location - the Fountains in Roseville I had my first taste of a Salt & Straw ice cream 2-1/2 years ago at Downtown Disney in Anaheim. Since then I have not had it until they opened one in Midtown Sacramento and I was able to visit for the first time just four months ago in July. Now I don't have to go anywhere because of this new location at The Fountains in Roseville across from the Galleria (a little over a mile from my work) \(**)/ My favorite flavor is the Coffee & Love Nuts but during my first visit at this new location I tried one of the limited Halloween edition flavors... Chocolate Champurrado w/ Sesame Toffee. Um, unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the flavor. I should've tried a sample first. I assumed that if it tasted like the champurrado that I know from the Philippines then it's good. Anyway, I will stick to my Coffee & Love Nuts. We drove here tonight around 9:30p. To my surprise there was a long line that overflowed out the door this late. It was 30-mins until we were able to order. I sampled a couple of their Thanksgiving series and I liked one of them. I chose two flavors split scoop: Parker House Rolls w/ Salted Buttercream (Thanksgiving limited edition) and a classic, Coffee & Love Nuts. Service was great and the employees were friendly and eager to help. When a team member is free to help a customer they come to you at the line... it's a nice change instead of yelling out "NEXT CUSTOMER!!l" LoL! The interior is clean and spacious. I did notice though that the scoops seemed smaller in this new location. Review #3225

Salt & Straw is one of my favorite ice cream shop and I was excited when they opened a new shop in Roseville. I went on Friday around 3pm. I sampled 2 limited edition flavors (Mom's mango pie & turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce) but didn't really like those. So, I ordered my favorites: chocolate gooey brownie Chocolate Gooey Brownies: super decadent chocolate with lots of chewy brownie pieces. The ice cream was very thick and had a hint of sweetness and super chocolaty! I can see myself going here everyday in summer (dangerously delicious)!

I have been here twice since they opened...the first time was on their actual first day, and the second time was Thanksgiving week. Both times, there was a line, so I'm definitely not the only one who likes this ice cream. The first time, I ordered a scoop of mint chip and a scoop of peanut butter brittle...I know i know, you're thinking it's a weird flavor combination. But trust me, it was delicious. I got 2 scoops because I was sharing with my husband, and these scoops are no joke. I felt like we were sharing an entire pint of ice cream! The second time I went, I ordered a single scoop of the gingerbread pumpkin pie to share with my husband. That was a more normal amount for sharing, and it's more affordable (their ice cream isn't cheap, that's for sure). This seasonal November flavor really did taste like frozen pumpkin pie filling with chunks of gingerbread cookies in it. It was very good. I like how they use reusable spoon to sample the flavors. Very environmentally conscious. The plaza is nice this time of year at night (you know, anytime after FIVE PM!). You can walk around and look at the lights and decorations while you eat your ice cream. Great idea for a date night, or even a family night out (there's a little playground for the kiddos behind salt & straw).

Ever since I experienced Salt & Straw, R St, Ice Blocks Midtown Sacramento location, my standards for ice cream and dessert have risen dramatically. Nowadays, I often end up not buying ice cream or dessert after wandering through the freezer aisles and bakery because I want something special or unique. When the rare occasion to traverse to downtown Sac popped up, I would visit Salt & Straw to pick a fun gourmet ice cream flavor, not blinking or thinking twice to grab a $13 pint of ice cream! I am ecstatic that Salt & Straw has opened a new location so close to me! The Ice Blocks location is super popular and busy, so I cannot sample to my heart's delight without holding up the line. However, tonight at this new Roseville "The Fountains" location, I got to taste everything I was curious about! The most popular classic flavors are listed in order from top to bottom in the left column, so try those first if you are unsure where to start. Honey Lavender, Coffee & Love Nuts, Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, and Chocolate Gooey Brownie are all amazing. I would buy pints of the first two I listed. Tonight's cashier's top 2 favorites are Honey Lavender and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip (a vegan flavor made with coconut milk) is listed as one of the Top 5 Best Sellers on Salt & Straw's website: https://saltandstraw.com/products/best-sellers-pint-pack I thought it tasted good. Creamy, smooth, and delicately minty and chocolatey. The employee giving me samples told me his favorite was Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge, which is also vegan. It was delicious, especially if you like toffee or Heath Bar ice cream. I think I was in a candy mood today, so I ended up choosing the limited time Halloween or October 2023 special, the Great Candycopia, with its mixture of crushed chocolate candy bars, and Coffee & Love Nuts. I love and am nuts about the texture and crunch of the Love Nuts, which remind me of Whoppers malted milk chocolate balls. I bought one single scoop and got one free with the Grand Opening promo by signing up to be on their mailing list in advance. Hurray for freebies! Thank you, Salt & Straw. In the past, I remember enjoying my taste of Pear & Blue Cheese enough to order it, so I recommend sampling it, but I found it overwhelming as a scoop. The employee giving me samples tonight was super friendly, happy to serve, and helpful. He was very diligent about warning about possible ice cream ingredients that could cause allergies or raise alarm (i.e., almonds, coconut milk, meat in the Thanksgiving Turkey Stuffing & Cranberry Sauce ice cream!). He even kindly offered to just go down the left column of Classic Flavors after I had already tried the 2 remaining Halloween October flavors and all 5 of the Thanksgiving November flavors! FYI: Salt & Straw changes and offers different Limited Edition flavors every month. The best Thanksgiving flavors are the Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream and Mom's Mango Pie, but I didn't like any of the Thanksgiving flavors enough to order them. Cranberry Sauce ice cream looked appetizing with its red swirls in creamy white ice cream, but turkey stuffing just tastes so wrong to me. I don't like stuffing in general. The Pumpkin & Gingersnap Pie is another vegan flavor, but the flavor was too strong for me. I also didn't like eating pie crust in my ice cream. I was excited to see sample testers of the poetically named Culinary Perfumes. You can order a Culinary Perfume Spritz for $0.50 with your ice cream. Only the top surface of your ice cream would get sprayed. This is the order I enjoyed them from most to least: 1. A Plume of Blooms (jasmine, honeysuckle, wild country garden) 2. A Swoon of Citrus (key lime pie, lychee, Italian lemon grove) 3. A Cloud of Cocoa (Ecuadorian chocolate, malted milkshake, Japanese whiskey - Whiskey was too strong and obvious to me.) Pro Tips I learned from the Sac location: 1. For $0.50 extra, you can do a Split Scoop, so you can try 2 flavors without ordering a double scoop. I believe you would get 2 Kids Scoops, instead of a one flavor Single Scoop. 2. A Double is only $2 more than a Single Scoop, so that's the best value unless you can commit to a pint. 3. If you know your favorite flavor, you can grab a pint from the freezer, skip the line, and head directly to the cash register to pay. 4. A Flight is your choice of 4 ice cream flavors for $16. Hmm, I wonder if you do 2 Split Scoops of a Double instead for $8.50 + 2 x $0.50 = $9.50. Can you tell I'm on a sugar high?!@#% I can't believe I rushed to write and finish this loooonnnng review. Salt & Straw chose its name because the ice cream is handmade in small batches, like in the olden days: Rock Salt was used to freeze the ice cream, which was then packed in Straw to keep it cold. Thank you very much for coming to Roseville, Salt & Straw! My dessert search is over.

I went opening night for them! I was so excited! I was stoked when a salt and straw opened in mid town and now there is one in Roseville! The classic flavors are delicious and different. The monthly specials will keep you coming back as well as the customer service. Want to try flavors, no worries, the staff helped guide you through the flavors with patience! Don't forget they do split scoops and ice cream flights. If you're like me, I like my ice cream is cups but you can get a free sugar cone on top! Highly recommend!

Unique seasonal flavors and fresh classics. My son really enjoyed the mint. I opted for a seasonal which had ginger and cookies in it and it was really good. I don't know that I'd get it regularly- but fun to try! The only things I found odd was there's no seats inside. Like.... None. So you have to leave to eat it. Kind of strange. Also there's a gelato place literally right across the street so I found it weird placement. But overall- tasty!!!

Some of the best ice cream I've had with amazing creative flavors!! I tried pretty much everything and girls working here are so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend: Sea salt caramel: classic for a reason, it's just so perfect and creamy and delicious Coffee and love nuts: so chunky and satisfying...the coffee flavor is subtle and not overwhelming, and the chocolate covered pecan chunks really stand out Honey and lavender: delicate and refreshing Strawberry with balsamic and black pepper: I didn't really taste the black pepper but the strawberry is really enhanced with the balsamic. Yummy The only one I thought was just so so is the salted cookie dough. Everything else I tried was great!! It's really hard to name a favorite here. Seasonal flavors were good too!

We were driving to Dave & Buster's when I saw Salt & Straw in the same Fountains at Roseville plaza and I got so excited because it's my favorite ice cream place and I had recently heard they were opening one here. Great location since it's open late and is close to the Westfield Galleria mall, movie theater and Round1 Arcade down the street. Original and seasonal flavors were on point as usual. Sampled the Jack o' Lantern Pumpkin Bread (yum), Cinnamon Snickerdoodle (also yum) but went with my usual that I love, Honey Lavender, but as a milkshake (which is 3 scoops). The staff were helpful and friendly. One of them even offered our dog a pup cup which was so sweet of her! My only complaint is the eco-friendly straw that came with the milkshake cracked at the tip after only a few sips and I had to ask for another one before leaving, but then even the 2nd straw cracked on me on the car ride home which actually pinched and hurt my lip because I was still trying to use it before my shake would melt haha. I ended up having to use a Starbucks straw when I got home to finish the remaining 75% of it. I'm all for saving the planet but still want to be able to enjoy my milkshake. Please consider rethinking what kind of straws you use! But I will definitely be back of course (and I'll bring my own straw in the meantime).

Wow, the brownie ice cream is maybe one of the best I've ever had. One person in our party started tasting almost every flavor and the girl behind the counter seemed a bit annoyed despite the sign right above her encouraging customers to do so. Prices are fairly high but that's pretty normal for the Fountains.

Great ice cream and great service! Only three stars because there is nowhere to sit and actually eat the ice cream. The shop is large enough to fit many tables and chairs but nothing. While ice cream on a cold day isn't ideal, having to go outside to eat in 60 degrees made it far less enjoyable for my kids.

Omg this place was so yummy Ruba was the person that helped me and she was so kind. Allowed me to try what ever I wanted and was very knowledgeable with the questions I asked. Hands down the Honey lavender is my fave and the one with black pepper. The place was very clean I will totally be coming back.

Forgot that this was opened and within the fountains instead of the mall. Nice, large clean space with timings 11-11pm for all your ice cream cravings. Lots of flavors to consider. The nondairy flavors such as banana foster was so good that I would never have considered it veg. You can sample any flavors you like. I went for the classic olive oil and strawberry balsamic. Lovely customer service.

The new Apple flavors this season are super good!! Got the Apple pie vs pumpkin pie which taste like Thanksgiving in a cup! Also the apple cider donut flavor is great as well

Loved this place ice cream! They got unique flavors and you can try them all! I tried blue cheese and pear and behh not for everyone I'm glad I tried it first, then I tried honey lavender and ohhhhhhh it's so yummy , just fell in love with it!!! Service is good ! But the place seems so empty there is a lot of empty space in the room no tables no chairs, it's clean in there but kind of lonely! Also they got just ice cream , in the winter season would be great to have some side of tea or coffee because ice cream not for everyone in the winter. Overall I liked everything, will be coming more for the honey levender flavor

I had been wanting to try Salt & Straw for a long time and I finally have and boy is it good! I tried the GoNannas with Strawberry Jam and it was just so good the ice cream I tried is vegan and it was so creamy and it had banana bread bits and I loved it. Definitely going back!

I tried the pear w/blue cheese (I love rogue river blue) and the strawberry balsamic. both were delicious! Both made with excellent quality ingredients. I loved the chunks of fruit in each of them. Although, I would have liked more blue cheese-but that's just me. I look forward to sampling some other flavors! Service was quick, no line when I went.

Grand opening at Fountain in Roseville! I loooved their sea salt with caramel. Coffee and nut was good too. Really good customer service and would love to come back to try some more!

Salt and straw does it again! Doing a split single scoop is just right for portions. They really do let you sample everything! Sour cherry pie is an excellent flavor right now

Ice cream for dinner? You bet! Salt & Straw did not disappoint. We stopped in for the grand opening and spent lots of time sampling all the flavors. Our cute little server, Ruba, was patient and kept those samples coming. It was tough to make a decision because each unique flavor combo was interesting. After much consideration, Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons for him, and Coffee & Love Nuts for her. The waffle cone cup was easy to eat along with the ice cream. A gold star for metal tasting spoons! Looking forward to future ice cream dinners here.

A tip/charge was added by a worker without our knowledge or consent. I paid the amount at the shop, no questions asked. But there was a surcharge without an explanation after we left. I went there with a family member because we saw a line there almost daily, and I love ice-cream. Afterwards, the charge came to be around $6.45 which showed in a physical receipt. When we got home and checked the online bank balance as it's routine on Sunday's. The payment totaled to be around $8.40. The price should've matched with the amount on the receipt. The problem is that they could potentially charge me or new customers when we're outside the shop without our knowledge. And that's not fine. Side note: I have also hygiene concerns with this place, which other people have addressed in their reviews in the past. When a worker scooped the ice cream for me, they would talk with the coworkers next to them, sometimes facing the ice cream they were scooping, which could contaminate the item. While it's not necessary for a business to have gloves, I would see the same worker handle both the payment and the scooping. It would be optimal if specific stations are handled by one at a time instead of swapping. Edit: "Your experience does not reflect our values", seriously? That was super validating.

This ... is an experience. The server had a great explanation of how each flavor was created, making it an even better experience. We just ordered thanksgiving dinner from here - well, it is five different flavors, including rolls, potatoes, Turkey and stuffing, mango pie and pumpkin pie. We are going to be regulars at the Roseville location in the Fountains so we can try everything at least once.

Fantastic service and delicious ice cream. So happy to have a location open close to me and I no longer have to drive all the way to Ice Blocks.

Grand opening view. You are able to sample and and all flavors if you'd like. We are vegan and there were 4 favors and the 2 I sampled you would not know that was dairy free. So yummy! I will have to restrain myself from coming here all the time.

Decided to try Salt & Straw another time this last Sunday night. I am happy to say I was greeted by an enthusiastic and happy team. Specifically I would like to commend the worker who helped me, Sydney. She not only walked me through every flavor but made sure to ask what I prefer and curated my experience to my tastes. I tend to get anxious during busy situations but even during a particularly busy night she didn't rush me or my kids at all, and Lord knows how they can be. It's nice to see our feedback as consumers is heard and acted upon. Great going salt & straw!!

I knew this place was gonna be good when I saw the high reviews and the long line of people waiting. It was definitely worth the wait. They provide many samples and the ice cream is definitely higher quality. You can taste it with every bite. The ambiance was great with it being clean, lots of lights, and an orderly fashion line to wait in. I will definitely be back.

This is a yes. That's all I can say. Creamy and amazing. Try the flavors you never thought you would. I promise you won't regret it. Last time I came in I will say without shame I spent $100 on ice cream so I could take some home. I live over an hour away so when I tell Troy the freezer bags they sell will make it, please believe me!

This location gives small scoops. You would think at $6.50 to start, they would give a solid scoop. The profit margin is already really good, hence their expansion, so why? Tried it a few times to see if it was a one-off... No they consistently scoop smaller here than their other locations. Why? I do not know but the other locations are much more consistent.. Midtown and the bay area locations scoop much bigger. Single, split-scoop, and double are all way bigger at those other locations. I got a split scoop, and a single scoop here, and there was an inch from the ice cream to the top rim of the cup both times. Disappointing as this is the closest location to me now.

There was a long hair in my ice cream. I had to unfortunately find out on my second bite. When I gave it back to the staff they did not even apologize for it or seem to care. This place should be called salt and hair.

Unusual flavors but you can tell it's quality ingredients. Can sample as many as you want. Some memorable..... Pear and blue cheese- strong on the blue cheese. Had a chunk at the end of my sample and it was over powering. Freckled Mint chocolate chip- delicious, small flakes of chocolate Took home a pint of the cinnamon snickerdoodle and caramel gold ribbon.
