Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"A fancy new hotel has opened in Pioneer Square, which means a fancy new hotel restaurant has come with it. Salt Harvest is located inside Pioneer Square’s Populus, and it’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes like duck frites, spot prawn crudo, and a wagyu burger." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

Beautiful dining area with rustic cool vibe. Food was delicious, fresh and can’t beat the wood burning hearth in the kitchen.

Nice atmosphere, and interesting design. In terms of the food, I was very pleased with the oysters, which were exceptionally delicious. The duck entree was also well-prepared.

In Seattle for 6 years and this was the best salmon I’ve had! The vibe is nice. The prices are a little higher than most places, but it goes along with the price of the hotel it’s in. Friendly staff. Overall great experience. Had a great meal then headed upstairs to Firn, the rooftop bar.

Yelp
Menu on the smaller side but everything we ordered was executed perfectly. Amazing customer service. The space is very pretty inside. Open concepts so you can see into the kitchen. Beef tartare was delicious with a bit of spice and the fermented veggies added tons of flavor. Puget sound treasures were flavorful, fresh and light. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the tagliatelle was light and not heavy. Duck was yummy but could skip the spring fruit chutney and just done the natural jus. Fries cooked in duck fat were crispy. Eton dessert meringue with fresh fruit was perfectly cooked and the fruit was fresh. Will definitely go again!

Yelp
My friend and I were in town for the Mariners game and stayed at the Populus Seattle hotel, so we gave this place a try as it is in the hotel. We stopped in for just a drink and were going to get food somewhere else. The drinks were super yummy! Definitely well made. The vibe in the restaurant was very earthy and vegetation was clearly a theme, like the rest of the hotel. We loved it. It was clean and comfortable. The service was a huge turn off. It took us like two hours to get our one drink and pay for our check. With how expensive this place is, and the fact that they automatically add 20% gratuity, that's just insane. The service was so slow and the bartender was so indifferent to whether we were there or were being helped. And they weren't even busy. Then when we went to pay, my friend was getting the bill, and asked if he could break a hundred. He said yes and then rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath when he was walking away. She felt like she inconvenienced him so much that she just used her card. Our bill was almost $50 for our two drinks, breaking a hundred, or paying in cash in general, shouldn't have been that big of a deal. It was uncomfortable and disappointing. We would go back again if we were at the hotel, but hopefully it would be a different bartender l.

Yelp
Salt Harvest Seattle, Washington Delicious....quality ingredients, beautifully presented food. We enjoyed every meal we had here and the setting was perfect-relaxed lighting, comfortable seats, not too noisy.... Quietly upscale with an eco-friendly consciousness. The staff was always well informed, friendly, and unobtrusive. We could have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and been very happy. Prices are a bit higher and they do include a 20% automatic gratuity, but this is in line with being in the middle of the city. Definitely convenient since we were hotel gas, but we would go here to eat, even if we weren't staying in the hotel. Valet parking available.

Yelp
Genuinely impressed. My husband and I got drinks in the rooftop bar, Firn first and were pleased to see it wasn't just another plastic, superficial, slapped together bar that reeks of corporate greed-something Seattle has in droves at the moment. Then we moved downstairs to have dinner in Salt harvest and were impressed. We feel it had lovely atmosphere, great, knowledgeable service and delicious food. The one note we would give the kitchen is that the menu was a TINY bit small. We would have loved to see a spot prawn pasta and a really excellent burger added as well.

Yelp
This is a new spot that goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. They've done a great job with natural plants and materials. Great staff inside and a welcoming,, slightly trendy environment with a very local flair. Menu is slightly limited in choices but each of the dishes is well thought out and exceptionally well prepared. I've been twice with a few friends and have seen a lot of the lunch and dinner items. All of them were great, but their craft cocktails and customer focused staff are what really raise them to a solid 5 stars!

Yelp
Visited Salt Harvest yesterday for drinks and for a few snack. The drinks were wonderful, the food surpassed our expectations and the interior design was beautiful. I highly recommend the sliders and pimento puffs. Shout out to Justin for great service. We are very excited that this hotel and restaurant have opened up and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Had dinner here Saturday night with my hubs. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and the service is wonderful. It's the food that I have issues with. First, the raw bar. 3 of the 4 items listed alcohol as an ingredient. 1 item doesn't require the alcohol in it to be consumed, so I could have ordered that item. I'm highly allergic to alcohol so it was disappointing to realize that I couldn't partake in something I'm usually excited to order. Next...the salmon. I love salmon. It's my favorite. This was not it. Why? I got sick that night. We were seated at 6pm, done by 7pm and by 10pm I was hovering over the porcelain throne. I know I didn't get sick from anything else I ate that day. My husband and I ate the same stuff all day. The salmon was the only difference. I got sick, he didn't. N/a drinks were...interesting. Not my preferred flavor profile but ok. I didn't finish it. I can check it off my list, but not sure I'll be back.

Yelp
Solid food, they are just opening so it is relatively quiet and attentive service. Definitely on the nicer side of hotel restaurants in the area. Will see how it stands up once they are busy but I'd come back.

Yelp
Great food and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. The servers were engaging and knowledgeable of the menu. I would recommend it heartily.

Yelp
The food was SO good!! And the drinks were out of this world! Justin is especially fantastic, shakin up those cocktails like nobody's business. I'm picky and have zero notes.
