We had multiple amazing experiences the at Salt of Palmar resort. My parents and I were staying at the nearby Ambre resort and we wanted to explore restaurants at nearby hotel. We were recommended to look at Salt of Palmar and the very friendly door staff took us in to show us what they had to offer. Med and team were immediately incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful and showed us the gorgeous restaurants on offer. We were captivated by the new and innovative "Tek Tek" restaurant which is one of a kind and focuses on using local seafood. We had a delicious and intimate dinner with some other guests and the chefs Ravi and Visham were very thorough with their explanations on what each dish was. The attention to detail in each dish and the flavours were incredible! In particular, my favourite dish was the taco and octopus. We were cared for incredibly and all the waiters went above and beyond. They provided 10/10 service and hospitality and invited us back for more meals at Salt. We also went back a few days later for dinner, which was very delicious and we were again welcomed very nicely by Med, who always provides a friendly service and makes us feel at home. He is also incredibly professional with all the work he does. Our meal was cooked by the highly talented Shiva and it was so delicious! Highly recommend to everyone and anyone to stay at Salt of Palmar!

We stayed at the hotel over easter. The experience was exceptional from arrival to departure. The staff was present and attentive - always with a genuine smile on their faces. A special shout out to the lovely breakfast team. |The kitchen is led by Chef Shiva who makes sure that the food is fresh, healthy, and delicious. We did nok get tired of it! |The facilities and beach are beautiful - and if you like boutique hotels we would highly recommend it.

This place is spectacular! Not only the location, but everything. ||The welcome, large airy room with great style and everything you could need, attentive staff, views of an azure sea fringed by palm trees and white beaches, the 2 hour massage making you drift away, the onsite bakery creating fresh pastry heaven every morning, the top notch food and drink created with imagination and love for local suppliers, the special touches including remembering my favourite pre-dinner drinks, and really feeling like part of the family….. it was amazing. Imagine tropical island paradise shown off by a team who really made it feel like it was a pleasure for them too. ||A special thank you to: Pooja, Rahul, Dervin, Bhool, Samantha, Rewa, Ved, Dev, the chef team, the spa team, Rishi, and the many others who made it very memorable. ||Don’t forget to get that massage, go on the island tour, and have an intimate dinner at their new TekTek restaurant. ||Go soon, you won’t regret it!

A wonderful hotel right on the beach, it feels like you're in a postcard. Just a few meticulously maintained rooms and an extremely relaxing atmosphere. Everything is impeccably maintained, and the staff is very professional and welcoming. The restaurant service, led by Med and his team, is truly exceptional, with delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Highly recommended.

WOW WOW WOW is truly what comes to mind when I think about my cherished stay at SALT. I was in Mauritius for work at the nearby LUX* Belle Mare, which happened to be fully booked — and what a blessing in disguise! It led me to discover this absolute gem of a sister property, SALT of Palmar.||Where do I begin?||The Spa was phenomenal. It started with a soothing foot bath and a warm shoulder wrap — instant melt. I loved the unique, intuitive questionnaire that asked, How do you want to feel after your treatment? I chose “energized and vibrant,” and Puspsa, my incredible therapist, delivered beyond expectations. I even got to select the ingredients for my own olfactory blend — such a thoughtful and sensory-rich experience.||My room was a dream — colorful, vibrant, and intentionally TV-free, which I truly appreciated. It encouraged me to disconnect and be present. The amazing sound system greeted me with African island vibes that set the tone perfectly.||Now let’s talk food — absolutely unbelievable! Staying true to the LUX* Collective’s wellness mission, I had an abundance of creative, healthy, vegan and vegetarian-friendly options each night. Breakfast was next-level, and the service was just exceptional.||This is a true boutique hotel with a heart. Every detail mattered — from being greeted by name to staff remembering my preferences. Sarah and her warm, welcoming experience team were a delight, and **Kenny** from fitness is a total gem — passionate, talented, and inspiring.||The rooftop bar** became a favorite spot, especially thanks to **Dervin**, my favorite bartender, always ready with a drink and a smile, eager to hear about my day. Add in the beach, the charming boutique, the vibrant atmosphere — and it’s easy to say…||SALT of Palmar is a must-visit. I can't wait to return, and I hope it becomes your go-to haven in Mauritius too!

Had the most amazing time in this hotel the staff and the food was 10/10. I don’t have any faults. The bar men pictured were especially my favourites but every staff member is lovely. I would say if you stay anywhere in belle mare it would be best to get a car. There not expensive and if travelling from England the roads are pretty much the same. Everybody made sure you were ok and always went the extra mile. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all staff for giving me a very pleasant experience.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Salt of Palmar in August 2025. |The staff welcomed us warmly showing us around the facility and the different amenities. They were very caring about our needs every day, especially when I accidentally hurt my foot on a boat tour. |Food at the restaurant was good, and we also took the chance to experience traditional Mauritian food on Wednesday, but best value for money was dining at Tek Tek, with a 6-courses interactive dinner. Strongly recommended.

Severe Hygiene Issue – Stained Bedding I stayed at SALT of Palmar and was extremely disappointed by a serious hygiene lapse a few days into our stay. I discovered that the duvet on our bed was stained with blood, makeup, sweat, and brown marks, affecting not only the duvet but also the sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and protectors. As you can see from the photos, I requested the bedding to be changed- this was IGNORED. I personally had to strip the bedding myself and informed the head of housekeeping about the issue. There is no excuse for not changing the bedding on the first request. The stains were clearly visible, and it was unacceptable that staff returned the same bedding later. We were waiting for the bedding to be changed at night for around 30 minutes, after having informed staff earlier in the day. Hours later, when we returned tired from exploring the island, we had to raise the issue again and wait—only after three separate attempts were fresh bedding and sheets finally provided. Adding to our disappointment, it appeared that staff members were laughing when we raised these concerns. This experience was both frustrating and unacceptable, and it has put me off from returning. While the property itself is beautiful, management needs to take serious action to ensure all guests receive clean, hygienic bedding and are treated respectfully and professionally.
