"At Salt Seafood Kitchen, guests can indulge in supremely fresh shellfish and seafood while gazing out at the sea where it was caught. The restaurant, a relative newcomer to the area, overlooks the Summer Isles—an archipelago known for its natural beauty, varied wildlife, and world-class seafood. By sourcing exclusively from local, sustainable fishermen, Salt offers a taste of the surrounding waters while also supporting the community and protecting its natural resources. The team here understands that the fine ingredients at their disposal need little accompaniment, plating everything from creel-caught langoustines to Achiltibuie hand-dived scallops with just a touch of lemon mayo or garlic butter. For a taste of everything, order the seafood platter for two (with langoustines, scallops, spineys, oysters, crab, velvet crab, and mussels), and finish with one of the restaurant’s homemade puddings, ranging in flavor from sticky toffee to pear frangipani."
Amazing place, amazing meal and yes, you've got it... amazing staff. This was our first visit and I would highly recommend it......we will be back!

Service was excellent: very sincere, warm and friendly. The restaurant has a cozy and family like feel to it. The menu shows a nice touch of inspiration and all the food we tried (mussels, lobster, highland beef burger) was outstanding. all served in an incredible setting. highly recommended.

After reading reviews, really wanted to book this place. Tried to book for 7 people, they couldn't fit us all at same time. In the end husband and myself went in at lunch time. Salt looks very simple inside, more like a low end cafe. The customer service was sadly lacking any kind of warm welcome. Ordered langoustines each and an Angus burger. The langoustines were cooked very simply in garlic butter. 7 for £16. A bowl of lemon water was provided thankfully for hand washing. The Angus burger looked better value at £10 and tasted okay although husband said the taste of cheese stayed with him for the rest of the day. We wouldn't go again but it was a novelty of the area.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Seafood platter is amazing and so fresh - the best I've ever had. And to cap it off the views are outstanding looking over the Summer Isles. Another great reason to visit Achiltibuie!

A must-visit place for sea food lovers. A small cafe type building so you need to book ahead.
Fabulous local lobster, local huge scallops and local langoustine all beautifully cooked.
Plus great sea views over the Summer Isles.
Take your own wine.

A one-off. Exquisite local prawns (langoustines if you're not from that area!) - massive, sweet, firm-fleshed... Scallops dived locally - plentiful and modestly-priced. The atmosphere if a climber's mountain hut crossed with the John Lewis bleached wood home department... Super-friendly owner and one member of staff cater for the compact dining area (20 covers). This lush portacabin is at the end of the world - 12miles from Ullapool as the crow flies, but at the end of a long single-track drive of over an hour... Utterly worth it. Really hoping that it'll be there in 2018 when we return. Bravo.

Excellent food, especially the local burger made a few miles away, with cheese and bacon jam. Amazing view, great atmosphere, and suitable for young children. Can't wait till the next time
