Incredible food, great friendly service from everyone. Reece who interacted with us most was kind and made us feel very welcome. We came here after seeing the food on Instagram and it exceeded our expectations. We had the three meat platter, and fries with cheese fondue and bacon. Followed up with each of the available deserts - salted caramel brownie and a lotus biscoff blondie - both served hot. Wonderful. It’s a shame we’re not local, as we would visit more often I’m sure. Be sure to book. Many turned up without a booking and was turned away while we were here; clearly very popular!

Thank you Emily for your kindness and brilliant knowledge of the menu. It is so reassuring when eating out with allergies when you feel you can trust the information you’ve been given. You were attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent, thank you for catering for a GF person without fuss. The chicken kebab was presented just as well as the usual dishes!

I’d read some amazing things about this place and it didn’t disappoint, came with two great mates who love food and we were treated to a real experience. Finn, did a great job of looking after us and giving us the best deal. The vibe was chilled which was also pretty good, given the fact it was the m23 derby too! The city needed a place of warmth and kindness amidst the crazy!

Went here for a birthday meal, we booked a table in advance. We got there ten minutes early and were told To come back at the right time. Not A problem as there are plenty of bars close by. We came back at our allotted time and were promptly seated upstairs. It was quite cosy and the table For two was rather small and very close To the other tables. The staff seated Us and took our drink order and left Us to look at the menu. Another staff member bought us our drinks (a glass of wine and beer served in a can) and took our food order. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food which was absolutely amazing perfectly cooked and so flavourful. We did have to flag down a passing staff member to order More drinks as the staff didn’t seem to visit upstairs that often. This was in my opinion a little On the pricey side for the size of the portions and the drinks being served to you in a can. Would recommend the spicy margarita shots very tasty.

Just like to say a big thank you to Jake at the Salt Shed! The standing service and genuine interest he showed in our anniversary dinner was truly appreciated. The food was outstanding, especially the Monday Meat Platter, which was both substantial and incredibly flavorful. The whole experience was vibrant, and to top it all off, Jake personally made our desserts, which was a special and memorable gesture. If you're coming to Brighton, don't hesitate to go to the Salt Shed—it's a must-visit!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. It is a small restaurant but has a nice character to it. Service was good and very attentive. There is quite a limit menu but our party of 6, ate between us each of the different roasts and everyone enjoy it.

We had dinner yesterday to celebrate my partner's birthday and we couldn't have picked a better place. They were really understanding about us arriving 15 minutes after our reservation (we let them know). The food was excellent and the service was spot on. I'd say the 4 meat platter + 1 side is perfect for two people, and they even gave us a brownie at the end so we could sing happy birthday. 💯% recommended

Had a delicious meal on Saturday! We were a group of four. We were given a table by the open windows which was lovely due to the beautiful sunny evening!The staff were very welcoming and gave us their recommendations which was very helpful. The two guys in our group had the four meat platter between them and my friend and I had burgers. It was all delicious and the meats were cooked perfectly! The only negative was that there is not a lot to choose from drinks wise but apart from that, it was a fabulous evening out! I would highly recommend
