"St. Louis has plenty of barbecue spots, but Salt & Smoke is the move when you want to eat great ribs, and still go somewhere nice. This Delmar Loop staple is always slammed, but just go grab a seat at the bar and work through their pages-long bourbon menu or drink a cocktail while you wait. Once you get seated, go for the the prime brisket and ribs, along with the white cheddar cracker mac and cheese and green beans, if you’re truly in need of vegetables." - Jen Maylack

The smoked brisket and pulled pork were delicious, tender and moist. I would say perfect. Love the mac 'n cheese. The baked beans were good but honestly had too much pulled pork in it. Maybe it was just my serving. I like those beans. The table sauces were amazing. It is a small space and we felt cramped. Next time, I'd sit outside or go to their south county location.

Salt + Smoke is a must-visit if you're looking for a delicious, satisfying meal in St. Louis. Everything we ate was fantastic, but some standout favorites were the toasted ravioli, hush puppies, and the incredibly creamy mac and cheese—comfort food done right. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend if you're craving great food, good vibes, and top-notch barbecue with a Southern twist.

I particularly loved the brisket and pulled pork for their tenderness and smoky flavor—definitely the highlights of the meal. However, I wasn’t as impressed with the ribs; they didn’t quite live up to the same standard. The sides were hearty and paired well with the barbecue, with my personal favorite being the burnt end beans. As for the sauces, they offer a nice variety ranging from tangy and sweet to spicy, giving you plenty of options to customize your barbecue experience. That said, I found that all the sauces had a sweet flavor profile, which didn’t quite match my personal preference for more balanced or savory sauces. The place itself has a cool, laid-back vibe with a great atmosphere. The staff was professional and efficient, making sure we were taken care of quickly without feeling rushed. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a tasty and enjoyable barbecue experience.

Great salad! Bar centered restaurant with large screen TVs tuned to sports. Nice wait staff. Parking lot ♿️ accessible entry into restaurant that goes through kitchen corridor and accessible bathroom.

I have been to all the locations, Each one as great as the rest! Great service and mouthwatering food. Also, they serve the tastiest Sweet Tea I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. 12/10 would DEFINITELY recommend.

I really enjoyed the food! I was recommended the brisket sandwich, which was excellent! The fries were good, & the brisket chili! Our server was very nice & informative... My only complaint was the portion size of the chili & brisket. I'm accustomed to seeing sliced brisket, & these were like burnt ends. It just looked very small & the chili was in a tiny cup. I'd definitely eat here again.. I just wouldn't order the chili as an additional side! The brisket was amazing!

I frequently place to-go orders from Salt + Smoke on Hampton. I've never dined in, but I've always received stellar service. I order via the website and pickup at podium. The ribs I order are almost always on point. There has only been one instance where I received a rack of ribs that weren't meaty. They were also dry, and reheating them made them worse. I was very disappointed but didn't want to go through the hassle of calling or mentioning it at all. I never order their sides as they're not my style, but the ribs are enough to make me go back for more. I also ordered from them during "covid," and their curbside service was awesome. I highly recommend them.

We came from Cleveland, Ohio and were looking for some great St Louis barbecue. Salt and Smoke did not disappoint! We went to the Hampton location. Our food was fantastic, possibly the best bbq we've ever eaten. The sides were amazing - we had pit beans, mac and cheese, Cole slaw, fries... All of it was top notch. Our server, Pawul, was wonderful, good knowledge of the food, witty banter, and even made other recommendations for us while were in town. Overall, the best dining experience we've had here all week.
