The deviled eggs came with a filling that tasted like hummus and had an interesting taste. Loved the French toast made perfectly crispy. Good brunch spot in assembly. There’s a heated outdoor seating in the winter.

Google
Salt + Stone was one of the first restaurants i’ve eaten at when I first came to Boston, I absolutely love it. I come here with my friends for brunch at least once a month. The service is great, the atmosphere is lively. It’s usually busy and I make a reservation ahead of time. They have a beautiful back bar that is perfect for date night and the outdoor patio is very cute! My favorite dish I tried was the Baked Brie and Rigatoni Bolognese!

Google
I recently had my first experience at Salt + Stone. I found this restaurant from creator @reallaurennicole. Their manager Lauren was so sweet and recommended that I try their new April drink and it was delicious. I ordered the Salmon for dinner and it was SO good. I definitely recommend this place for anybody looking for a great dinner with friends at Assembly row. I will definitely be back!

Google
I had an incredible experience while visiting Salt & Stone’s location in Assembly Row! The espresso martinis are incredible as well as the mushroom truffle pizza! Lauren Nicole was the absolute sweetest! I couldn’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant and I will definitely be back soon :)

Google
So the food makes up for the loud place, and the slow service. Also, if you intend to go to the heated area, get ready for very hot heaters on top of you. Try the onion soup! That was delicious… my daughter had the crème brûlée French toast and she loved it. Kudos for the nice and creamy clam chowder! Yum!

Google
Everything at Salt + Stone surpassed my expectations. Lauren has done an unreal job as the social media director - you must check out their instagram. The rigatoni bolognese, wings, and oysters were delicious. The april drink is not only yummy but proceeds also go to The Red Sox foundation. The vibes are immaculate and the staff is friendly. Can’t wait to be back!

This was our fourth time eating here in the past 2 years. The food is fresh and healthier than many restaurants. However, I did feel that the smashed potatoes were too salty and would have been much better with less salt. Our server David was excellent--pleasant and attentive. The staff has always been upbeat and genuinely seems to like working there.

Google
Great food and service. For appetizers we had the sea salt chicken wings which came with blue cheese dip. We couldn't decide on the sauces so the server brought all four. We really liked the barbecue sauce. For entrées, we ordered the mushroom tarragon chicken and the pan seared scallops. They were both ample-sized and marvelous tasting. Our server filled our water and left a carafe at the table. We sat in the outside patio, which had small puddles of water in certain spots so we sat at the far end, where there were no water puddles. The inside of the restaurant looked beautiful, but my friend likes to eat outdoors. Shannon did an excellent job taking care of us.

Yelp
Pretty good spot. Drinks were great, ambience is the cool side of Amazon's home decor, hummus plate was pretty good. Prices are reasonable but on the high end. The service was fantastic. Down to earth, personable, and gave great recommendations for what to order. Highlights included their award-winning cocktail (I forget the name, I think it had elderflower? Maybe lavender?) and the truffle deviled eggs. We asked for the bacon in the side and received a generous portion. 4 stars for it not really pushing the boundaries much when it comes to the experience. I kind of expected more exciting things on the menu based on the look of the place online. Nevertheless, I was happy and would maybe go back if I didn't have anything else to try!

Yelp
I love salt and stone. Every time I come here I am always impressed with my meal and my drinks. The restaurant itself is chic and welcoming. The chairs are comfortable and even when things are busy they always seem to be able to squeeze you in. The other day we sat at the bar. I got the margarita flight which was delicious! And my friend got the boozy coffee drink. The bartender picked up on which Marg was my favorite and made sure to make me that one when we got another drink. The Buffalo wings had a great charred smoky flavor that was delicious and I got the salmon for probably the second time and this time the sauce was different than the first but just as equally delicious! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
From the outside I thought it would be sports bar-ish considering the large tvs over the bar tuned in to all things Boston sports. But it had a nice neighborhood feel inside. The service was great. I arrived early and the hostess said as soon as your table is bussed I'll seat you, which she did. I saw the table get cleaned and she took me right over. The food was delicious. I had the rigatoni and I highly recommend it. The star of the evening however was the Vesper martini. Good thing I only had to stagger across the street to my hotel! They were cold, strong and hard to drink just one so I had several. Go for the rigatoni, stay for the Vesper.

Tabitha T.

Yelp
We enjoyed an after graduation dinner here. The service is exceptional and the star was the Brie cheese ......it was sooooo good! The outside area is nice in warm even when a chill is in the air. Perfect place for tasty meal with great energy.

Yelp
I went to Salt and Stone on 6/18 and sat at the bar. The food was excellent, Cobb Salad and Prosciutto and Fig Pizza. So good! Our waitress Aina pronounced ahnya was fantastic and we met the owner Sean Olsen. Before I knew he was the owner he was helpful talking about the food and very personable. We had such a great experience that we will be going back soon. Jeff and Fran.

Yelp
On Tuesday June 18th we had the pleasure witnessing an owner take pride in his establishment and appreciation of his employee. He ensured the cooler of ice filled with waters outside their door remained stocked and cold and per the bartender this was his doing (not the city's). Also the entire time we were there him or an employee walked around with an air temp gun to ensure his staff and patrons remained cool and comfortable. Rhe bartender also added that even though the windows open to the outside walk he won't open them on some of the busiest days due to the heat being too high and his staff having to endure anything but comfortable workable conditions. Salt and Stones owner is a complete contrast to that of the River tavern . Once prior we enjoyed tacos , cocktails and the positive energy of the staff. Before entering Salt and Stone we tried to enjoy the same experience at River Tavern. Again one of the hottest days in Boston history there was no excuse to have staff working outdoors without proper cooling equipment . The bartender was dripping from head to toe sweating over cups and beverages and through his clothing. He didn't have a single fan, the outside smelt like day old runny trash and entire bar was sticky. Save the time and skip the River and venture on to Salt and Stone where the owner appreciates the wellbeing of his staff and patrons .

Debi S.

Yelp
I sat at the bar for dinner because the restaurant was completely packed on a Tuesday night. Brian was a wonderful and kind server. The lobster ravioli was delicious and I really enjoyed the lobster ravioli.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening and the spot wasn't too busy so we were seated quite quickly. The ambiance isn't too bad - feels like a modern spot with nice decor. Service was pretty bad - it took over 20 minutes for us to even get a menu or water. It's like they seated us and no one came to check on us at all - that alone sort of ruined the experience in my opinion. Once we finally got service, things were okay, albeit still a little slow. The food was all right - definitely pricy. Oysters were solid, chowder was yummy, wings were good, although the portion was small. For entrees, my salmon was decent, although nothing too special. Overall, I probably won't come back anytime soon. Service was just so poor and the food was mediocre at best, unfortunately.

Mae D.

Yelp
The spinach was given previously frozen and not fresh but the halibut was chefs kiss! Customer service was great! Enjoyed this quick dinner!

Yelp
Wow, has Assembly Row changed! We stopped in here as we needed a fast bite before an airport pickup, and glad we did. There is plenty of free parking, up to 3 hours I believe, which makes this very convenient. As others have mentioned, there is a nice outdoor patio, and a big busy and energetic dining room with lots of natural light. We had a nice waitress and found the service to be good, fast and efficient. Cocktails tasted good, but we felt were very light on alcohol as compared to most restaurants. We opted for a mix of small/appetizer plates, and found they were good overall. The deviled eggs were tasty and a generous portion for the price. Our "hot" dishes were really not that hot temperature wise, and more to the luke warm temperature, which was surprising. Perhaps the kitchen rushed them out. French onion soup would have been great, had it been served hot. Crab dip was a bust. Again, should have been hot and only luke warm, but the crab used had an excessively tinny flavor, which we did not find appealing, and left this dish mostly uneaten. I cook with crab a bit, and know this can happen, it just depends on the crab used. It was unfortunate, as I think it could have been a tasty dish. I see others mention that the crab dip was not good. We ordered a takeout pulled pork sandwich to bring to the airport as our arriving passenger was hungry and did not have time to stop for food. He said it was pretty good, lots of BBQ sauce which he thought was a bit on the sweet side. Your mileage may vary here, but I think overall the food was good, with a few hits and misses.

Yelp
Had a really great night at Salt + Stone! I've been wanting to eat here for awhile but haven't gotten around to it and now I wish I did sooner. The outdoor seating is enclosed and adorable, I loved the decor with string lights and the inside is just as beautiful. We got 2 18oz beers for $9 a piece which was an awesome deal! We had such a tough time deciding between the food. Ended up getting the Chef's burger and cajun chicken sandwich. They were both amazing and the portions were extremely generous. I can't wait to come back next time for the flatbreads!

Tyler C.

Yelp
I watched the Celtics win at Salt + Stone, and no other place I would've wanted to be. I had the Ahi Tuna steaks, which was incredible. The restaurant was bustling and beautiful. The hostess was super welcoming and my waitress, Anna, was quick, kind and personable,.They really made the experience perfect. I'm sure I will be back soon! I rarely write reviews but this place was just so amazing!

Alisa G.

Yelp
I've been here for both brunch and dinner now and both experiences have been great! Most recently I came for brunch on Father's Day. They offered a breakfast and lunch menu and there was plenty to choose from. My boyfriend and I shared the breakfast flatbread and the breakfast poutine. Both were delicious! The breakfast flatbread was so yummy~ the dough had such a great flavor and texture. Highly recommend! The poutine was good as well just heavy. I loved the tater tots. I would definitely recommend both of these. We also ordered a banana foster French toast to share for the table. This was to die for! SO good! It had an amazing flavor and nice crunchy edges. I would 100% come back for this. It's just very sweet~ so a good breakfast dessert to share! The ambiance and vibes were chic and trendy. Reminded me of something like an Earls. The service was good, but nothing great. No one came to fill up our water, and it seemed like we were waiting for our waitress often, but overall the experience was excellent. I will definitely be back here!

Connor Q.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite spots in Assembly! They have a great selection of beers and cocktails (True North Northern Haze and Dirty Martini pictured). The burgers and pizzas are always a favorite, and we tried the Tarragon Chicken this time which was also delicious.

Alex G.

Yelp
The service was amazing. Super helpful and kind. The food was okay, not terrible. But not a must visit place. The drinks were okay but very strong. So a great place for a group brunch. Close to the orange line and there is street as well as garage parking.

Wendy C.

Yelp
Very spacious inside. Came on a Sunday right when they opened for brunch and it wasn't busy. Our server was very attentive and patient. We had 2 young toddlers in our party, so took us a while to put in our orders and for us to finish. They have a brunch menu (limited) but also had a lunch menu with more options. The devil eggs were ok. The crab dip and ricotta meatball were both good.

William C.

Yelp
Had a very nice dinner here while staying at The Row Hotel nearby. Started off with a tasty margarita, with a generous proportion of tequila, as well as the Salt + Stone Crostini, which was excellent (the whipped burrata was especially heavenly). I got the Southwest Chopped Chicken Salad, which tasted very fresh and was presented beautifully, but I found the chicken slightly dry, and the dressing was a bit too light in flavor for my taste. My wife got the Tuna Nicoise Salad, which was great -- the tuna was really tender and perfectly seared. My daughter got the Mac & Cheese, which was really good as well -- not too salty (and the cheese was perfect to make my chicken taste a little juicier). Our waitress was awesome -- friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe, casual but hip. Plenty of outdoor seating available. Great place to cap off a day of shopping on The Row!

Brendon W.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a couple of drinks and was satisfied with the refreshing drinks! Good service as well at the bar!

Savannah H.

Yelp
The food is very good. Is it and the service as good as the price calls god? In many cases no. But the ambience and drinks certainly make up for most of that. They're slow and it can often feel like you're being purposefully ignored by some of the waiters/bartenders but very much a Insta foodie spot or nice date night place if you aren't in a rush! Wicked cute interior. Overall if you want relaxed bougie vibes this is a good spot.

Yelp
Assembly row does it again! I wanted to make sure to stop by assembly while visiting family and I'm always amazed by how much they are expanding. This place is a great addition! Great food, lovely drinks, and amazing service- you don't need to go to the seaport or downtown for elevated casual dining. We made reservations ahead of time on a Sunday at 1:30. It's definitely less busy inside the restaurant at this time, but parking and everything outside the restaurant was still Very busy! I opted for a Caesar salad with chicken, my boyfriend got the blue cheese salad with steak- SO GOOD! And my friends got salads, a flat bread, and a turkey club. Everything tasted really fresh and well made. I love the options for mimosas. I'm not really a fan of orange juice. And they had some mock tail options for my friend. I don't really have any complaints, just really happy that there are options like this in this area!

Marissa E.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Asssembly Row. I come for the crab dip and the margarita flight. The main courses that I have had are very good but truly its the crab dip and margrita flights that keep me coming back.

Allison T.

Yelp
One of the best meals i've had in a while! Wouldn't change anything about this - great portion size, perfectly cooked, loved the potatoes and loved the sauce. Service was great and loved the ambiance. Can't wait to go back!

Haja F.

Yelp
This was my second time here. My first time was just for drinks. This time I went with two friends for Sunday brunch and had a really good experience. Our waitress was really friendly and made recommendations for menu items. Food came out fast. We ordered the banana foster French toast to share. Let me tell you something, If you are someone that likes French toast, you do not need to order anything else on the menu and if you are not into French toast this is a sign for you to try something new. Hands down very high on the list of the best French toasts I've ever had (it's hard to decide, I love to eat lol). I also ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, which was delicious and fresh. My friends really liked their food. Also, very great espresso martinis. The vibe was chill, not crowded. I Will definitely go back, maybe for a different meal hour. Give them a try! See pics for all the deliciousness.

Yelp
If you are looking for an upscale spot in the "Assembly Row", you've got to try Salt + Stone! It'll become your new favorite spot! Salt + Stone has a vast menu with fresh seafood, steaks, handmade pastas, burgers, flatbread pizzas, locally sourced salads, and soup. They have a great raw bar with fresh oysters, little-neck clams, shrimp, and more!Their seafood platter offers a taste of everything. I look forward to trying it on my next visit here! Yes, I said it. This is my new go-to spot. Their menu does lean heavily on seafood, given you are in Boston. However, there is plenty of options on the menu for those who aren't a fan of seafood. I booked a reservation for brunch, as it was Mother's Day. I booked a 1PM slot, which was perfect. The inside was hopping, very busy. Luckily, it was gorgeous outside, so we decided to eat on their enclosed patio. In my opinion, it is much more open sitting outside. It felt a bit claustrophobic inside with how busy it was. We started with some raw oysters. They were incredibly fresh. I always love to top mine with horseradish-cocktail sauce and Tabasco. They had all the accoutrements. I look forward to coming back for $1 oysters. For brunch, we ordered the Egg's Benedict. What can make Eggs Benedict better? Lobstah. We both added lobster to our Benedict. The lobster was fresh and delicious- generous portion too. If you want to mix it up, they offer the option to add smoked salmon, avocado, or Canadian bacon. We mistakenly ordered a side of the smashed red potatoes, not knowing the eggs Benedict came with a side already. It's okay, they were delicious. Cooked perfectly and fully through. Seasoned perfectly. A must-add to the brunch table! The lobster Benedict was THE BEST I have ever had. The English muffins were perfect and held up just fine to the mountain of lobster, egg yolk, & hollandaise sauce. The eggs were done perfectly. The hollandaise sauce was rich, but not overpowering to the dish. Many places totally drown it in hollandaise. They have the sauce to eggs Benedict ratio down pat! All the rich ingredients were perfectly balanced. As I mentioned, the portions are very generous, without sacrificing quality. As we sat on the patio we watched food come out. The burgers are large enough for two. The salads are massive and easily makes two meals. Their cocktail program is equally impressive. They have a very cool Bloody Mary Flight available during brunch. However, I decided to go with the "Brunch Punch". A delicious mix of Tito's, Prosecco, Peach Schnapps, Crème De Mure, & OJ. The pours are very generous and the cocktails are all incredibly unique. The Executive Mimosa is also a must try for those who want to take the mimosa up a notch. Prosecco, Tito's, & Orange Juice. If you're coming with the ladies, they offer a few of their cocktails in a "tower". Plenty for two or more to share after a long day. If you aren't a fan of craft cocktails, they have a wide selection of craft beers, "frosé", and a Margarita Flight. For those who prefer wine, they have a solid wine selection. The beverage program here is incredibly unique and top-notch. Service was top-notch. The reservation was on-time with no issue or wait. Our server was attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. When asked where the oysters were from, she had the answer without skipping a beat. Clearly, the owners are truly committed to delivering a top-notch experience. We never felt rushed or hurried. Being slow eaters, they happily spaced everything out so everything wouldn't arrive at once. The owner personally thanked us on our way out. I can't wait to come back for $1 oysters and happy hour appetizers. I look forward to making this my new go-to in Boston. I can't wait to try the burgers, French onion soup, handmade pasta, & the lobster roll. I could go on and on. There isn't one bad item on the menu. They truly delivered a five-star experience. Thank you for making Mother's Day special. My mom absolutely loved the place and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Overall rating: 2.75 stars Gets crowded really quickly! Food: burgers, fries, beer, wine, and pizzas We get their beer tower which the waitress spilled on our tiny table :( my romper was soaked Pricing: $32-44 for a beer tower, I think it depends on what kind of beer you get Ambiance: lowkey and chill, dark There is outdoor seating that has a roof over their head Seating & Parking: some parking if you're lucky, lots of seating Service: waitress spilled beer on us but was apologetic, the host was welcoming and bartender was sweet Music: an assortment of music Bathrooms:men and women, the women's bathroom was clean and the toilet stalls are mini rooms Final comments: a nice spot for a after work food

Ashlee M.

Yelp
Came here after staying at the new assembly row hotel for a quick dinner. It was surprisingly really good! We started with the meat and cheese board- which although the presentation was a bit strange (cheese came in chunks, you had to cut yourself), it was really good with some decent types of cheese. Although meat ONLY included pepperoni or something similar & prosciutto! So 2 meats but 5 cheeses? There was prosciutto, which was amazing as well as: Brie, Gouda, & blue cheese however 4 crostini's was NOT enough for all the meat and cheese. There were also some delicious jams & honeys as well as walnuts. YUM! Atmosphere was pretty trendy, and I liked the overall vibe they had there, but it was definitely loud and definitely had more of a trendy feel to it. Doesn't seem to have a kid friendly atmosphere but they had a good kids menu with very reasonable prices and good "kids" choices so that definitely counts as kid friendly in my book! Although I believe my son was the only kid in the place! Service was meh, waitress had no personality what so ever, but she was nice, so I suppose it is better then being rude. I wouldn't say she was attentive but she did come to check on us at least once, or maybe she didn't, service was not very memorable but we always tip at least 20%! I got the S&S Burger which was huge but delicious! Definitely some quality ingredients/fresh ingredients! It came out with a knife sticking right out of it- which my 7 year old son enjoyed/got a kick kick out of it. My son got some pasta with butter from the kids menu and the portion size was huge! My friend got the baked Mac and cheese which looked and tasted delicious but said the chicken was a bit skimped. Overall the food was really good for the price and a lot of these new trendier places are just a gimmicky, but this place definitely used quality ingredients & the portion sizes were great as well! I would Definitely come here again. Overall 4.5 stars! Yelp doesn't do half stars so I rounded up since it was so new! I also noticed that they are usually open for dinner but because of February vacation they were open for lunch as well- extremely interesting. Maybe they are trying to market to family's/kids! I would definitely check it out if you're a family!!!

Melissa P.

Yelp
Literally the best burgers ever!! The ambiance is cool given the large space, wrap-around bar, and dim but intentional lighting. The burger slid through our hands and it made a sloppy mess but that was well worth it as all of the ingredients felt like it melted in your mouth. Next time I will opt for the tater tots instead of the chips! Definitely coming back here again.

Megan W.

Yelp
Me and a friend came here for dinner the other night cause we wanted oysters and a charcuterie board and this was the only place we could find that had both. The oysters were good. The charcuterie board was a good size and hit the spot but nothing you couldn't put together yourself. The crab dip was not great. The service was pretty good. The best part of this place was the ambiance.

Katherine R.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a Friday night and had a bit of a mixed experience. The place itself is beautiful. I loved the finishes, decor, and the vibe, but the music was too loud. I can be a fan of loud music at dinner, if it's done well, but I found myself trying to shout across the table and consistently repeating myself which became annoying and took away from the experience. The service I also thought was OK. Our server was nice but didn't attempt to go above and beyond by any means and we struggled to track him down when it was time to get the check. For food and drink, we started off with the margarita flight. It was fun to try, but the box it came with didn't work very well (the drinks kept tipping over) and it took up too much space on the table, so we decided to ditch that. We then tried the tuna and salmon dishes. I thought the tuna and cucumber salad (that it came with) were delicious and very well done, but the potatoes were bland and also felt kind of random on the plate.. the salmon was also good but I would stick with the tuna!

Hanh P.

Yelp
Vibes and service at Salt+ Stone were immaculate. The food were pretty good--a bit too much for lunch but would be great for dinner. Here's the run down of food: Hot crab dip (Alaskan snow crab, sweet onion, cream cheese and house mayo served with crostini) - tasted like a deconstructed crab rangoon, was hoping for something more. Salt + stone crostini (crostini, whipped burrata, prosciutto de Parma, roasted pistachios, scallions and honey) - loved this one! It's the perfect precursor to the rest of meal--it's crispy, savory, sweet and nutty. Lobster Flatbread (fresh lobster, shallot butter cream sauce, roasted corn, goat cheese and mozzarella) - pretty tasty but definitely tasted more like a summer dish than a winter dish. Lobster BLT (this was in place of their Jumbo Crab cake sandwich) --again, my mistake for ordering lobster during non-peak season but this did not quite hit the spot for me. Tasted like a regular BLT dressed up with some lobster. Overall, a good dining experience but I'm not crazed about with the lack of seasonal items. Would definitely come here for apps and drinks during a happy hour though!

Mona N.

Yelp
Great food and service - will definitely be back again! Our server was very attentive and genuinely kind. My daughter had the brown butter cake dessert and no pictures because it was hosed immediately by the kid. Looking forward to trying other menu items on a return visit!

Lauren J.

Yelp
We tried Salt + Stone once before and received terrible service, but we decided to try it again in case they were just having an off day. Our mistake. We walked into the restaurant and the FOH manager immediately started berating me for making a reservation via OpenTable, which is the only way to make a reservation on their website. He said that I made a reservation for a high top, and I was "lucky" that someone had canceled a normal table reservation or they wouldn't have been able to seat us. I asked if we weren't allowed to sit at a high stop with a stroller, as we had an infant with us, and he said that we were allowed. When I questioned then why we wouldn't have been seated at the high top then, he simply said "because". I can only assume that meant "we don't want a baby sitting up here". He continued scolding me all the way through the restaurant to a table in the very back. Once we sat down, our terrible service continued. Our waitress was friendly but incredibly slow. They were out of almost every cocktail and beer on the menu. No plates were never cleared, so we ate dinner with the appetizer plates taking up most the of the table. When we were finished with dinner, we were brought the check without being asked if we were interested in dessert. The food was REALLY good, but unfortunately for the chef, the incredibly rude manager and slow service ruined the experience for us once again. Needless to say, Salt + Stone didn't deserve a second chance from us, and this time, we won't be returning.

Kristen G.

Yelp
We only had the wine because the service was so terrible. We asked for the dryest red and was told I don't know and then they recommended the most expensive wine (which we did not order) We then were going to order appetizers and asked if the truffled deviled eggs had mustard to which the server again answered I don't know and then said I don't think so. When we tried to order the halibut we were told they didn't have that so at that point we decided to leave as the service was lacking and nothing on the menu looked good. Very disappointing! When we gave feedback on open table the manager came back and lied and said we were given samples of the wine which was not true and that the staff was trained to know all of their ingredients and that the truffled eggs did have mustard (not listed on their menu nor did their server know). Bad service and bad, lying, management who could learn a lesson in service recovery! Response to owner. This is true. You said you offered samples and we chose the wine from there which is not true. My mom asked for the driest red he said he didn't know and then another bartender said the most expensive wine by the glass which was a $17 Cabernet and we wound up ordering due to my suggestion the Toscana without sampling anything as you said. I suggest you review your receipts before calling your guests liars.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Trendy place with delicious food! We had a reservation and showed up 15 minutes early and they seated us right away. I was also participating in not drinking alcohol in January and they were able to make me one of their speciality cocktails as a "mocktail" (zero proof). The seasonal salad was delicious and made to order. I had a bite of the burger and it was AMAZING! I got the flatbread, which was also good. Would highly recommend trying dinner here. There is a lot of parking around Assembly Row if you decide to park - making it easy to either commute via T, ride share, or by car.

Michele M.

Yelp
The dollar oysters are from 3-5pm now! We came for the dollar oysters and were informed that it only occurs at the bar so please let the host know if you're coming specifically for that. The servers were super nice and accommodating. There is a limit of 12 oysters per person. The oyster sizes are variable, but tasted super fresh. The afternoon crowd looked like people who just got out of work and came for a drink! It was super casual. The menu was enticing and I would come back to try some of their other food. Plenty of parking around assembly row

Went here with a friend recently for drinks and dinner and was not disappointed. Great service, our waitress kept checking in on us and just overall had a great disposition. Food was great, very flavorful meaty wings with a nice chunky blue cheese dressing, a perfectly cooked mushroom brick oven pizza and a well dressed nice sized caesar salad. They sat us outside in this adorable little enclosure. I was nervous at first it would be chilly but they had plenty of heaters throughout and it was nice to be able to people watch. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Nestled in the vibrant Assembly Row, Salt + Stone offers a delectable array of dishes to satisfy any palate. During our recent visit on a warm summer Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of sampling their New England Clam Chowder Bowl, Cast Iron Baked Brie, Local Oysters, Lobster Roll, and Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. The standout of the evening was the Cast Iron Baked Brie. It arrived sizzling on the pan, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. The toasted almonds added a delightful dark chocolate and woody flavor profile, while the fig jam, with its textural contrast from the seeds, was the cherry on top. If nothing else, I would return to Salt + Stone for this heavenly dish alone. The Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna was equally impressive, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. While the New England Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll were good and classic, they didn't quite reach the same level of culinary intrigue as the other dishes. Despite not having reservations, our Saturday night dining experience was smooth, with only a 15-minute wait - a manageable pause to explore the nearby shops at Assembly Row. Opting to sit outside on the warm summer night, we enjoyed a great atmosphere. The service was efficient, and our bartender provided excellent recommendations that added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Salt + Stone left a lasting impression with its sizzling Cast Iron Baked Brie and perfectly executed Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. While the Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll were more traditional fare, they were still enjoyable. The convenient location in Assembly Row and efficient service made for a pleasant dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu and sample their cocktails on my next visit.

Yelp
Writing a review after my second time visiting Salt and Stone. During my last visit, it was a sunny but breezy day and the restaurant had outdoor seating with a covering, indoor seating next to large windows that were open, and other seating in the back without the window open. Since the person who seated us did not understand the ask to sit next to a window in the back, my guest and I sat wherever. My hope was that the rest of the visit wasn't filled with a comprehension challenge. The waiter came over and collected our drink orders, followed by our appetizers, and entrees. The appetizers were delicious - baked brie and rosemary sea salt chicken wings. For an entree, we had the fire roasted salmon accompanied with potatoes and asparagus (salmon and potatoes were overly cooked, as was the asparagus, which I would never try again). We also ordered the truffle flat bread which the truffle wasn't melted well. The server we had was wonderful but the food was a 6.5/10.

Yelp
I recently got to try this place! I came with a friend with reservations at 6:30. We were seated pretty quickly and they were busy but not too busy. The service was pretty good. Our waiter was really nice and very attentive. For food, I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and the hummus plate as an appetizer. The hummus play came with a variety of different dips as well as pita bread. I love the variety that I came with and each of the different items were definitely very yummy. I got this for myself but it's definitely big enough to share between two people. As for the Cajun chicken sandwich, I love the flavors in the sandwich and it works so well with the coleslaw however, my only critique is that when it came out, the bottom bun was super soggy and it was hard to pick up. The homemade chips were pretty good and I appreciated the side of pickles. I will definitely come back again. It's very classic American food. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
SO YUMMY! Food was definitely 11/10. I got the ahi tuna which was definitely perfection (will be dreaming about this dish for a while) hehe so worth every $, the potatoes and cucumber/tomato/onion salad were also sooo good as well. The lavender lemonade was recommended to us by waiter, it was really pretty and refreshing especially on a hot day! My friends all enjoyed their dishes, everything looked amazing and we finished it all because we were starving lol. Our waiter was super nice and attentive, great service overall, and strongly suggest making reservation before as it gets pretty busy! The inside of the restaurant is really pretty, definitely a vibe and great outdoor seating as well when it's warm out. Clean bathrooms as well!! Love this restaurant and of course it's in a great area.

Yelp
Came to Salt + Stone for Happy Hour and it was nice. The ambiance is gorgeous, very comfortable and relatively casual. Brandon was a fantastic bartender and conversationalist. I ordered a dozen oysters from Canada, they were pretty good, but there was some shell in one of them so whoever was shucking did not do it properly. A couple guys came in about an hour after me, and their server said they had brand new oysters from a different location, which made me feel like mine weren't as good. A friend stopped by and we tried their wings, which Brandon recommended to get with the sauces on the side and they were great, and recommendation appreciated + approved! OYSTERS: 3.5/5 WINGS: 4.5/5 SPICY MARGARITA: 4.5/5 (different than the usual) I'd return here if I'm in the area, and recommend it. ambiance: 5/5 food: 4/5 drinks: 4.5/5 service: 5/5 Salt + Stone: 4.6/5

Yelp
We came for a quick drink and appetizer. They offer 50% off apps at the bar from 4-6 (unsure which days). It was a great deal! Both plates we got were delicious! There are three different bar areas - each were spacious and had comfortable chairs. Our service was smiling the whole time and checked up on us frequently. Their dinner menu looked fantastic and I'm looking forward to go back and try it.

Yelp
First off the aesthetics in this restaurant... beautiful The navy blue and gold at the bar area, the mustard yellow chairs in the dining area, the lighting... a vibe Stopped by for lunch and so glad I did. We ordered the brown butter lobster roll ($30) , the meatballs & ricotta ($14) , a strawberry daiquiri and a piña colada (which were both frozen drinks). Everything we had were delicious and the frozen drinks were surprisingly strong. 10 out of 10... highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
Service: 3/10 Starting with the service because in this industry and life in general, the very least expectation from a server is respect. When I received an invitation to have brunch at this establishment, I was super excited and impressed by the recent reviews! However, my recent expectations were not met from a simple service perspective. My colleague grabbed our table since they made the reservation and when I later joined the table, the waitress didn't give their name (it was Carla) or the typical "server spiel"-- I had to initiate that to know who would be serving me, which felt strange. Not sure if she was just having an off day, tired, or whatever but she only took our drink order and took off, I had to go back up to her and actually let her know that we were ready to order so that we didn't miss the brunch time (since it ends at 2pm). Little things occurred later but the real kicker of the experience was that at the end of it when we were paying, she ended up throwing my card with the tray down onto the table as if there was an issue. Food: 7/10 Now I love me a good egg bennie's and potatoes, so there weren't too many issues besides the slight bland taste and the "smashed red potatoes" weren't actually smashed at all like I envisioned. And my colleague's churros were a bit harder than they expected. But the drinks were really good! Ambiance & Decor: 9/10 The interior design of the restaurant was really nice, tables were a bit small so we had to efficiently make space so that our drinks and food wouldn't spill over. The tables had hooks underneath which were a really nice touch. I also enjoyed the ingenuity of the salt & pepper dispenser because it didn't take up too much space for the already small-sized table. Overall, I would definitely go again, maybe at a different time!

Yelp
Just stopped here on a whim! I was starving so I just took a solo seat at the bar. The bartender Shannon was attentive and took care of me right away. She made me a really great aperol spritz while I waited for my food to go. I got the grain bowl with added salmon....expensive but DAMN worth it. They gave me a substantial piece of salmon. This will last me a couple days for sure. I will 100% be back. Thanks Shannon

Yelp
My husband and I came here before a concert and it was amazing! The atmosphere and service was impeccable. There were so many glorious looking items in the menu so we decided to share some plates. First we started with drinks. I had one that was on special called the Frozen Mint Watermelon margarita and it was delish. My husband had the Salt and Stone which I tried and thought was even better! We also split the The Way Grandma Used to Make Them which had maple syrup and black walnut bitters in it. So GOOD! For the food we split the tuna poke, the mango habanero wings and the green side salad. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I even polished off the night with a very tasty scoop of their vanilla ice cream. Oh and on a side note: their bathrooms are fabulous and very clean!! Such a fun place! I highly recommend!!

Yelp
My fiancé and I made a reservation to sit in the heated patio outside for dinner. Despite it being heated it was still pretty chilly and there was quite a wait before someone took our drink order. I had the steak salad and he ordered the filet. Overall the food wasn't bad but NOT worth the price.
