Salt Tacos y Tequila

The entire area is a must! Being that I love tacos I had to try it out and I was not disappointed. We only had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the party of 10 that we had so that was not bad. It was a very Heavily traffic area as it’s held in the same area as the arena with plenty of stores and plenty of food places. I would definitely recommend going here because there’s all types of food in the area, but Salt was great! We had drinks tacos and more food and the staff was amazing.

Amazing drinks and some of the best enchiladas I’ve ever had! Love the dip trio as well and can’t wait to try more of the menu! ❤️

I've been to salt many times. Usually with friends. Today was by myself. Taco Tuesday of course. Was amazing. Alfonso was a great host and bartender. Will always come back to salt. You won't be disappointed!!

We were supposed to be a group of 24 that turned into 45 😵‍💫 The staff were so extremely flexible and accommodating Everyone was so nice and respectful The food was amazing. Drinks amazing. Atmosphere & ambience amazing. Firstly, I highly recommend this restaurants second, I want to give a shout out & respect to all the staff at this restaurant 👏🙌🏻❤️

Overall Salt has a very cool vibe & decor. It's a great place to catch a game! We were able to watch the draft and hockey games. The servers for our event were attentive and friendly. Food was good, queso is a must have!

We went here for lunch and it was delicious! The carne asada plate was recommended by the server and it didn't disappoint. The beer was ice cold. Such a great experience!

Stepped in the day before the Post Malone concert. Food was great but the service was lacking. Went back to pregame before the concert. Our server was on it! Food was great! He was on top of keeping us full of drinks. Very personable.

I went here for brunch on a Sunday around 11am. No wait to be seated. The guacamole flight was awesome with very generous portions. I also got the avocado toast with a fried egg which was delicious. It was cinco de Mayo and they had lots of fun decor! Waitress (Diana?) was great, no complaints. Can't wait to go back!

I can see why this place was dead on a Sunday during prime time brunch hours. The food was over priced and below average. The pastor didn't have a grain of salt and was basically flavorless. The taco salad consisted of basically all lettuce. Service was average as well considering how dead the restaurant was. This place will be closed within a year due to its below average food, service and outrageous prices. I give this place an extra star for having all you can drink margaritas for $25, but even these consisted of mostly syrup. The server told us we couldn't get them blended only on ice. Guess that was too much work for them. Just tear this place down, get rid of the servers/bartenders and add a PF Changs or something.

Nice place in Westgate. We enjoyed sitting on their patio and waitress was very pleasant. Food was awful. You need to pay $2.50 for chips and salsa. Salsa refill is $1.50. Chips are super salty and salsa is flavorless. Husband ordered Carnitas burrito. It had pineaple salsa that was way to sweet. Also ordered taco salad. Taco bowl was completely filled with lettuce, black olives from a can, cheddar cheese and chicken. My selected dressing was avocado vinaigrette. Had no flavor. Added salsa to lettuce to try to eat it some of it. We could only manage a few bites but left most of the food. Very expensive for lousy food. Never again going there.

We stopped by here before going to the outlets. The restaurant is located within the Westgate Entertainment District. It's a nice area to visit in Phoenix, AZ, but may possibly be catered to tourists. We sat outside because it was such a nice day with warm weather. The inside and outside were presentable. The food was good, but the service was excellent. Our server named Summer, did an awesome job taking care of us and making recommendations. We definitely enjoyed the drinks and service! I highly recommend the elote dip! It was our favorite from the food we tried.

Service was a little slow but was a good environment. The nachos were amazing and huge!

Sometimes you read reviews and you have to see for yourself. The reviews weren't great. So I had low expectations. We visited Salt with some friends after a college visit. The decor is a stunning homage to Dia de Los Muertos and very cool. A tad overwhelming, but cool. We were served by a young woman who seemed annoyed we were there. But everyone has a story, so no judgements. Just didn't endear the restaurant to us. The food was very delicious. A little overpriced imo. My 8 oz margarita was $14. Overall a good experience.

The service was friendly and fast. The huevos ranchero had good flavor but way too much crema for my liking. I also ordered the eggs over medium and they were over hard. Less sauce would let the other ingredients shine

Food was great. Had plain tacos on taco Tuesday. Service was amazing and Trinity is a great waitress. Wasn't too busy when we got seated and 5-10 minutes after we ordered we got our food.

We ordered the MACHO NACHOS for lunch on March 30, 2024. The nachos were great but way too much food for 2 people.  It was huge and we only/barely had half of it. It would be better if they offered 2 sizes. A lot of wasted food.  Restaurant was not busy and we sat inside as the music was to loud on the patio. Never figured out why restaurants feel the need to make it so loud where a couple has to raise their voices just to be heard by each other. So all in all, food was great, service was great, thanks Landon (spelling) nice young lady, and nice place to eat. Recommend to offer two sizes for the nachos and lower the volume, as your music choice might not match all of your dinners.

Thought this would be a good stop while visiting my sister. Well let me start with the food it was awful.. We ordered: chips and salsa- they were ok.. you have to order them and pay for them if you want them A chicken bowl that was awful Taquitos that were greasy and soggy Drinks were overpriced and super sweet. Do not ask to change anything up cause the answer will be no.... Service was awful. We should have known when no one come over to seat us until we asked the bartender to send someone over. The manager tried and discounted some of the food. However we wouldn't go back. Awful experience.

The staff is great. The Security is great. The drinks are terrible parking is chaotic evenings are like walking STD clinics but besides that the food is great and I would definitely suggest giving them a try.

Great tasting Mexican Food at reasonable prices in the Goregous Westgate Entertainment District. I ordered the Delicious 3 Encillada Plate while my Lady had Amazing Carne Asada. Very good food and we were surrounded by HD Televisions with the NBA playoffs on. Great place to eat if your are going to an event at Desert Diamond Arean which is only about 40 yards away and directly facing the restaurant. It's nice you have the option of outdoor and indoor dining. Special thanks to Karely for our 5 STAR Customer Service. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

The tacos were excellent. The vampire tacos were delicious and the dip that used for those were fantastic. The shrimp and Carne Asada tacos were also excellent. Service was great and the ambience was fun.

Horrible over priced food. management is horrible when you call restaurant to complain, he tells you to fuck off never again! -1000!

Came here before the PBR event last weekend. Even though they were busy. We were sat immediately, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and didn't push us out while we were chatting. I ordered the taquitos half beef half chicken, which were delish and a skinny margarita. We will def be back when at Westgate.

I met up with two girlfriends for lunch yesterday at Westgate. We decided to check out Salt. I am SO glad that we did. None of us knew that they offered brunch, that was such a pleasant surprise. I had a Raspberry Hibiscus margarita, not only was it pretty, it was tasty as well. I took a chance on the Red Velvet Waffles. OMG, totally life changing!!! These were so delicious, I felt like I was being spoiled. No flavor was overpowering and the syrup only added to the luxury. One of my girlfriends had the same dish and she was finished before I was! Our server was amazing, he kept checking on us and always had a smile on his face. His vibe was absolutley perfect, and we told him so! I can't remember his name, but he really made our day. :) My friends and I sat for a long time just chatting and had the space for about 2 hours, it was nice to not feel rushed to leave. Thank you so much for making a Saturday girl's day absolutely WONDERFUL!!!

Came on a Friday about 5pm, it was not busy. Patio with big screen TV, one inside as well. (Diamondbacks were playing) Loved the wall art! From the host, to the waiter, food and drinks, everything was great!! Later on become busy.

Went during happy hour with my husband while pregnant. Was told they wouldn't make me a non-alcoholic margarita because they make it in a large pre-mixed batch. Still leaves me feeling uneasy.

Picked this restaurant due to the hotel I was staying at. There was discount offers for vacationers at Springhill so out of the selection of restaurants, I figured I cant go wrong with mexican and they had happy hour. Fun, lively environment with lots of color. There were multiple flat screen tv present for customers to watch sports. Upon arrival, the manager was the host seating customers and he just didnt look happy to even be there. Kalcey (sorry if i spelled your name wrong! i lost my reciept) was my waitress and she was super sweet and bubbly. She took my order and was extremely attentive. Even was apologetic when she was held up with another table. Unfortunately she did get my drink order wrong but i didnt mind. I had asked for their pinche mojito but with rum instead of tequila but she got me a white rum with watermelon red bull so I didnt fight it. I ordered their asada enchiladas with red sauce and it was okay. Portions of my asada was burnt and very dry but plate had very nice portions. Upon paying, I had asked Kalcey to adjust my bill to honor my discount for staying with the hotel and she had her manager put in the discount. Unfortunately he only applied 10% but when I had kindly asked another staff, he adjusted it to more than the offer which was nice of him. Food was mediocre. Nothing really stood out to me other than Kalcey's service. The manager was majority of the time found texting on his phone while all of the girls are running around waiting tables.

Stopped here for a business lunch with coworkers before a meeting at a Westgate hotel. I was very impressed with the tacos. Since it was Taco Tuesday, the tacos were cheap and you could order them individually. I got a potato, pastor and Vampire (basically a rich birria) taco. All three were excellent but the Vampire was the star. Make sure you drink up the sauce the Vampire was served with. We all shared chips and salsa and got iced teas. My bill was under $11 so great price. The ambiance of this place is super fun too with modern Mexican design and I plan to come back to eat, drink and party sometime at night as I'm told it's a pretty fun spot after dark.

Haven't tried the tacos considering we went later at night. Very fun environment and they play great music. Will be back soon.

My family & I went to this location late August to try their food & drinks. We tried to call & make reservations online & was not able too so we decided to go there in person instead. The decor & service was very nice. The food was very overpriced for a restaurant that serves taco's, burritos, chips, guacamole & etc. They do offer happy hour specials during the week only from 3-6p on certain drinks & appetizers. Definitely try them during the specials to avoid having a high bill. We had steak burritos which only comes w/ plain tortilla chips & no rice or beans & steak taco's w/ a side of fries. The food was okay & we will only come back for happy hour only.

They live up to their name for sure. Salt. I couldn't even eat my food because it was so so so salty :( The "mini chimi's" were pretty good, but they say they are carnitas chimis. What they are though, is bean chimis with a few flecks of carnitas. We couldn't tell that there was any meat in there until we SAW a few strings of meat... My sister got the chicken tinga tacos and I had a bite, that was great! The rice is so yummy! Both Spanish and white. But the birria bowl was a bowl of salt with beans. The drinks are okay. Very weak, but very flavorful. The staff wasn't friendly, but attentive. So there's that. It's hot in Phoenix, yea. But it was HOT in there. Everyone was fanning themselves with the menu. So that suuuucked. Overall, meh experience. I won't be back. But if you're going, avoid birria bowl and try the chicken tacos! MY SISTER JUST TOLD ME HOW THERE WAS A GIANT ROACH IN THE BATHROOM! So there's that too. ‍

I've been here a few times as I know one of the employees. I do prefer coming just to eat and drink versus late night when the club starts. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. She was open to jokes and helped us tease my friend who works there. She answered all our questions and if she didn't know the answer she was quick to go figure it out. The drinks were really good. I ordered a margarita flight and was not disappointed. The flavors that came with it were pineapple, kiwi, prickly pear, and raspberry. My family also got margaritas and they enjoyed theirs as well. The food was decent. This time around we just ordered some appetizers. This included the macho nachos, taquitos, and some chips and guacamole. The nachos were huge! I would say feed at least 3 people. Very worth the price but also kinda hard to eat. It's like a game of tortilla chip Jenga. The taquitos were flavorful and those went quickly with my family. My stars dropped for the sake of bathroom cleanliness. I don't expect too much as it's a night club as well. But it does look dingy and when I took my two year old to get a diaper change the baby station was held up by a stool.

I love the energy of this place. Neat artwork, nice drinks, seating inside and outside right next to the cardinals stadium and Weatgate. We had delicious food and amazing nachos! Recommend!

We picked the place because of the convenient location. Service was just alright. Our server was friendly and tried to be attentive but the host and some other servers were unfriendly & inattentive. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. There were many empty tables but the wait was "30-45 minutes" so we sat at the bar. We had the Taco Salad & the shrimp Caesar and 2 alcoholic drinks. The quality of the lettuce was very bad, shrimps were overly salty, the carnitas tasted extra "porky" and not flavorful at all. The 3 stars are for the nice atmosphere (they have outside seating) & our server's customer service. In conclusion, we will not be coming back here again.

Price gouging for an event? Waiter said everything would be a few dollars more expensive than what the menu shows. Is that even legal? Service was also horrible, the tacos were cold and falling apart. Do not waste your time here.

The host and manager/Chris were very welcoming!! I got the guacamole and shrimp enchiladas and they were delicious! A very busy place but the service was excellent.

Delicious the grilled tacos are perfect with a side of rice and beans. I tried the frozen margarita it was amazing! Very fun place with all the funky art around makes you want to snap a picture!

This place was so spacious and fun! Great happy hour specials on drinks and tacos ( went on a Tuesday)... Tacos were SO GOOD I wanted to eat so many! Server was cool and friendly! Nice atmosphere for get togethers. Will definitely be back, especially happy hour-- it goes all day on Tuesdays and you can get $2-$4 select tacos, and drinks as cheap as $3!

I'm kind of on the fence. I like the culture style decoration and all but two things turned me off. 1. The restrooms were in serious need of cleaning. 2. The music was so loud that I found myself yelling even after I left. The staff was friendly but it's really REALLY LOUD in there. Overall the food was good and we were served really fast. (Can you guys lower the music just a little bit?)

We had drinks, which were good and as expected. Service was very attentive, friendly and professional. We would consider returning for dinner or lunch. They have great outside seating as well as indoor seating.

Beautiful, full size patio, did not eat here as the lady said, no dogs allowed on the patio. Specifically chose this place because yelp says dogs are allowed. Disappointed. Patio was empty and not busy. Would've been perfect. Time to have a margarita here.

Went here around lunch time today and the atmosphere and set up is super cool! The service was great we got recommendations from our server and she was super helpful. I got the vampire quesadilla and the vampire margarita both super delicious. My husband got the Christmas enchilada with tinga and they were so good as well! The portions are big, no complaints here!

Did not have a good experience when I came here a while back for lunch. My bill was supposed to be in the mid-$30s but when I gave the waitress my card, she swiped it on someone else's tab and brought me back a credit card slip to sign for a $100+ transaction that included several entrees and kid's meals that we did not order! It then took about 10-15 min to flag someone down to get it fixed! They seem kind of scamy here! Definitely always check your bill and credit card slips before signing anything!!

Great Margs Slow service and the food was bland. Just a convenience so close to the Marriot Renaissance.

The food was great! I had the el pastor tacos and the meat was actually quite delicious. I enjoyed every bite. The service was great as well! Friendly staff and severs. Beautiful scenery with beautiful artwork. I really liked the theme of the restaurant. Definitely recommend this place. It was great overall!

Food was good. Drinks tasted great. We ordered a pitcher for our margaritas thinking it was going to be a better deal than getting separate drinks. However, when we got a pitcher it only poured 3 drinks instead of 4. One pitcher is $46. 1 drink is $13. The math didn't add right. So we asked for the manager who gave the excuse that if you consider tax it evens out. But, he was not considering the tax in the pitcher when giving us an excuse. The margarita pitcher was absolutely filled with ice, comparable to a block of ice. Typically when someone orders a pitcher you'd expect a deal and if it's not that would be nice to be specified. Manager eventually said he'd get the next round for us, but the excuse for the way the pitcher and individual drinks added up did not make sense. Ambiance was fun though and lots of tvs.

Came here to hang out after breakfast Sat at the bar Bartenders were very attentive, went out of their way to Make a drink they were not familiar with.... Drinks were good Ordered chip and salsa Salsa was OK not a big fan ...... Decor is nice Great way of representing the culture!!! CONS: No toilet seat covers in the women bathroom No hand soap in the men's bathroom LIKE NONE at all NON EXISTENT HAND SOAP !!!! Health safety issue Men need to wash their hands also

We showed up without warning with a party of 10, and the staff was fabulous. There's a booth that perfectly fit our party. For a party of our size, they accommodated separate checks which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend the chips trio that has guacamole, quezon and salsa. For sports fans, there's a TV in view no matter where you're sitting.

I love that this place has indoor and outdoor seating available. The weather is beautiful most days so the outside seating is perfect to enjoy the AZ evenings. Our waiter was perky and attentive. He was friendly. I ordered the steak quesadilla. Technically under the appetizer menu it was a full blown meal for one. It had a ton of flavor and was filling. We saw lots of the nachos coming out to other patrons. they looked delicious, piled high on the plate. The food all looked good as it came out of the kitchen. This was an enjoyable evening out.

Stopped by during their happy hour. Sat at the bar. The place was not busy at all. Bartender was attentive and kind. My partner and I just ordered drinks and guacamole w/chips. Drinks were ok for HH and the guac was good as well. Place looked big and the decor was great. Will prob visit their HH again when I'm back in town.

Service is terrible and took over an hour to get food. The waiter was non responsive and not service oriented.

Ordered for pick up. Ordered the pineapple ceviche.. very cool display of a dish but very disappointed in the quantity & quality. It had more jicama than it did seabass! They added jicama so that it's blended with the fish so you really can't see how much seabass you're really getting! This dish was not worth $20! Also ordered the carne asada tacos.. very small tacos with very little meat! Again not worth the price! This is just a fancy overpriced taco place. Save your money!

It was my first time going to Salt Tacos y Tequila and I wish I would have received better experience. The food was okay, not really worth it and needed more flavor. Our waitress was not good. She took half an hour when we were done with our food and didn't check up on us after our food was dropped off. I had to ask a hostess if she can come back to our table to cash as out and we waited an extra 10 minutes more. Keep in mind, this was in the middle of a weekday. Not the best experience I hoped for. Only getting two stars because of the environment was cultural.

Im just going to copy & paste the email I sent to the restaurant about my horrible experience.... On Tuesday, March 14th, approximately 5:30 PM, I was one of many in a large group dining at your establishment. I am in complete awe of the neglect I have received at your restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant for several years and have never experienced anything like what happened to me yesterday. Firstly it took over 45 minutes to get my first order, which was a cocktail, that was placed well before other guest had arrived to the table, but yet those guest had gotten their drinks before I, secondly not too much longer after I placed the order for my drinks, I placed an order for two tacos, the tacos took over an hour, before it was actually brought to the table, (by this time everyone in the group had received their food & drinks) only to look as if someone regurgitated on top of them, tacos did not look appetizing at all. Therefore I asked for an order of chips and salsa so I can have something to munch on while drinking, those chips never came either. All of this info was relayed to the manager on duty, that manager had seem to make sure everyone at the table was taken care of by bringing their delayed drinks and food directly to them, all the while my orders were the most delayed/never received, every other guest at the table was satisfied because they had their drinks and food, at the end of the evening the manager came out and gave complementary gift cards to several of the guests EXCLUDING myself who was the most slighted of all. If anyone should have been apologized to and compensated for such lack of Customer Service it should have been me, but I was not. This has quite infuriated me, even more so because I feel I was truly discriminated against as I was the only African-American in the group. I must say the manager did comp my tab for my drink, but at the same time he comped the food for the other guest as well. Again I am a very disgruntled customer at this point.
