Wife and I visited with our two kids (4 yo and 2 yo) for lunch in late Aug after school started. We were welcomed by several staff immediately. The front of house has a ton of ready made pastries, sandwiches, salads, and family size entrees and sides. There are also 3 or 4 small tables that would be welcomed in rainy or hot weather. Continuing on thru the building, there is a reasonably large outdoor space with 2 and 4 seat tables (almost all covered), a couple picnic tables, and a few strategically placed chairs.
We were seated right away and were offered either a 4-top in the shade or a larger picnic table under a shady tree; we chose the picnic table.
Our waiter, Garrett, approached us with the specials and gave us time to select our menu items.
NOTE: The kids menu we were provided (not the one posted) listed a grilled cheese and fries for $8.
Our kids LOVE tomato soup, so we ordered that (one of their specials) and the grilled cheese with fries for them to share. They split the very generous portion of tomato soup in two bowls for the kids; it appeared to be drizzled with a balsamic sauce (and it was delicious). The grilled cheese was crispy and extremely cheesy; the fries appeared to be hand cut and were cooked well.
Wife and I ordered both the steak and frites and the crab cake sando for sharing. The thin cut ribeye steak was generously covered in chimichurri (which we LOVE) and was cooked to medium rare as requested. The hand-cut fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned with garlic and parm.
The crab cake was flavorful, tender, and flaky. The brioche bun was excellent and the toppings were good. I would maybe have preferred a cabbage slaw to the iceberg lettuce, but I wasn't mad about it. It was served with homemade potato chips and a delicious deli pickle (there was dill and garlic but def another flavor we couldn't figure out and forgot to ask about...it was very good).
The two entrees, bowl of soup, and kids grilled cheese meal plus a generous tip was almost $78. That's way more than we'd normally spend on any lunch with kids when we aren't on vacation, but being Park City (where everything just happens to be expensive) and one of the best restaurants we've visited, it was well worth it.
We will definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area and will certainly be back when we visit Park City next time.
