"The Riverhorse on Main team also runs this casual spot, where you can sit down for lunch or just grab a to-go coffee and premade meal from the wall fridge. After a big morning on the mountain, the SaltBox breakfast burrito hits the spot, filled with sausage, eggs, and crispy polenta bites. Check the chalkboard for daily specials, like brioche french toast and braised beef short-rib grilled cheese, which are often even better than dishes on the actual menu. There are only a handful of tables inside, so come early to nab a spot or drive on over to City Park and eat in your car." - jene shaw

Google
What a beautiful lil restaurant. They have a big kitchen and serve fresh and healthy food. The backyard is big with plenty of tables and nice music. The food is very good and allows to eat healthy good food close to all those hotels. We had a Cobb Salad and Egg White Scramble. The team is also super friendly. We will be back for sure.

I love saltbox! My family and I come here often. The atmosphere, service and food are always exceptional so we will keep coming back. Wouldn’t recommend the smoked brisket & eggs, or the biscuits & gravy quite as much, but our absolute favorites are the egg sando, breakfast burrito, cinnamon roll French toast, and Mediterranean wrap. We also love the homey mugs they serve drinks in. Special shout out to Christine and Jane — they are the sweetest!

Google
Unassuming cafe with premade salads and sandwiches and sit down service. To be honest it doesn’t look like much but the food was incredible. As someone with celiac I am always hesitant trying new places when traveling. My husband and I had the beet salad & curry bowl. It was so good I will be trying to recreate the dishes at home. Great spot for a late lunch after a long travel day and they also have a liquor license! You can find wine & goodies also on the menu. Highly recommend.

Google
Did not meet our expectations given how highly this place was reviewed. The hashbrown sando was great. However, the brisket breakfast was just meh. The eggs and veggies were fine. The hashbrowns were great. But the brisket (if you can even call it that) was very tough and had very little flavor. It seemed more like someone cooked the hell out of a flank steak and called it brisket. I think there is a lot right that this place is doing, but that particular menu item was not great and a big letdown.

Google
Awesome coffee, excellent food, and great service. The menu is like a greatest hits album of cuisine from around the world. I will definitely make a point to come back next time I find myself in Park City.

Google
We had great food and great atmosphere. Set outside on a nice fall day.

We spent two nights in Park City and stopped at SALTBOX on our way back home. It was SO tasty and we loved the vibe. We chose to dine in and while the inside dining space is small, we (my husband and I and our 3 small daughters) sat comfortably at a 4 person table with a highchair next to us with at least 5 other couples/small groups but the outdoor patio is quite large. The service was quick and friendly! We got the breakfast burrito (one of the best I’ve had!), egg sandwich, a chocolate croissant and our girls shared a smoothie. We loved it all plus our girls kept stealing bites of our sandwich (the group favorite!). We will definitely be back!

Google
TL:DR this place deserves the glowing reviews. Every detail was exquisite on the food. I had the eggs Benedict, my partner ordered a breakfast burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend saltbox

Yelp
This has gotta be one of the best dining establishments in Park City. Truly one of the best food experiences I've had here! Andrea, our server (and maybe manager), was lovely and very welcoming upon arrival. She served us with a bright smile on her face and she seemed very happy to be part of this restaurant. I initially thought it was only a grab-and-go type of establishment, but they surprisingly had ample amount of seating available if you wanted to dine in. The environment felt cozy but not tight at all, with fun decorations inside. We came during the holiday season--I LOVED the holiday decoration and music, it created such a nice atmosphere. They have great grab-and-go options if you wanted to as well! The food was nothing short of excellent. Their sandwiches were some of the best I've ever eaten in my life, taking on such a unique presentation--especially the Potato Egg Sando (sandwich). Their sandwiches' included great flavor, level of warmth, and texture. I highly recommend coming here for a meal! Honorable mention: although minor detail, the water jars added an additional sense of coziness Here are my food ratings! Breakfast Burrito 8.4/10 Potato Box 9.4 Saltbox Egg Sando 9.2 - delicious! my only suggestion is to see if the ciabatta bread can be a tad softer.

Yelp
What a find in Park City! It's nice that this restaurant is outside of busy Main St. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Loved the food! All of the dishes that we tried were very delicious and well prepared. The ingredients were really fresh. Service was great! We stopped by around 10 am on a a Saturday and we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and made sure that our water was always topped off. Looking forward to our next visit to Park City so we can visit Saltbox again!

Sarah H.

Yelp
Wow loved this place! They have a good selection of both breakfast and lunch options. They also have a lot of to-go items. I noticed a lot of people coming in to grab to-go items, like premade salads and sandwiches. The breakfast burrito was amazing and I'd highly recommend. The fries were delicious too! I loved that there's a coffee shop feel but it's also a full restaurant. Really cool! The service was great as well. Would absolutely recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
Every bit of the love this place gets is justified! We were famished after a day of traveling. Saltbox delivered with flavorful, fresh food. My hubs had the brisket and eggs. I usually don't buy brisket unless I see a smoker, but I needn't have worried. There was great smoke flavor and nice fattiness to the meat. We all marveled at the hash browns, which were in a lovely ring shape. I had the açaí smoothie bowl and a side of fries ( best of both worlds). The bowl was filling with fresh fruit. I wished the granola was crunchier for the added texture, but it was still tasty. The fries were freshly cut and came with it a delicious dipping sauce. We enjoyed everything so much that my husband went back again the next day! Service was competent, if not overly friendly, and a table outside in the shade was perfect for the day.

Shareka J.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. We ordered the curry chicken bowl w/ fresh veggies. It was so good and hearty, perfect for a winter day. Also, ordered the hot Nashville chicken sandwich w/ garlic fries. The chicken was juicy and just the right amount of spice. The fries were fresh and crispy! The carmel latte was perfect...not too sweet! This unassuming from the outside, cute and clean on the inside place is serving up wonderful dishes with a side of excellent customer service from Hudson! After checking out there to go fridge, we decided to get the last slice of their chocolate decadence cake even though I couldn't finish the curry (it was so filling)....lol We'll definitely be returning!

Tarry B.

Yelp
Nice little patio spot. Açaí bowl was good. Had a side of hash browns too. Service a little slow but other than that- all good.

Jon H.

Yelp
First timer. Got the curry chicken bowl. Jasmine rice, cilantro, red peppers, broccoli, cauliflower and cashews. INCREDIBLE!!!!

Kristina M.

Yelp
This is a tasty, affordable option for your dining needs. It's nice to have dining options that don't require a reservation or long wait times. The food was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The only reason I didn't award the full five star rating is because there was only one person serving the entire restaurant making the service slower than expected.

Jeffrey E.

Yelp
First visit. We did not have reservations but were seated right away outside. Magpies looking for scraps were around but not bothersome. My wife got the burger and I got the fish tacos. They were halibut but tasted frozen and fishy. We bury took home leftovers. We did not get dessert. We will probably go back and give them another try

Pilar M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. We stayed a week in Park City and this became our go To spot. The staff is super professional and welcoming. The food is fresh, fast and healthy.

Karla G.

Yelp
Got recommendation from a local to come and enjoy the patio & food. Got out of SLC to escape heat. Love breakfast all day! Lots of yummy choices. This potato egg "sandwich" Too much egg for me but rather have a generous vs not enough. Margarita was fresh. Soaked in some sun on patio. Had options to-go. Will be back!

Liz R.

Yelp
Great food! Limited seating inside, but, during the warmer months they have a great patio. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I indulged in the tacos last visit, they were delicious and flavorful!

Jane P.

Yelp
Really good service and all the food was good! We came here for breakfast and I got the sandwich with hash brown as the bread. It was so crispy and flavorful! We also shared an order of fries and they were really good too! I got an order of hot chocolate and it was perfect on the cold and snowy day! I would come back here and I recommend it to you if you are looking for a cute and yummy breakfast spot!

Victoria K.

Yelp
Great food, terrible service. Came here on two different occasions. First time we had to ask for all the condiments one by one... I asked if milk was organic so the server said (who I think is an owner) no..so I asked for a creamer when she came back, and her reply was oh so you DO WANT milk?! Wtf. Questioning my judgement much? Creamer is not the same as milk just fyi. Another time we came here but didn't eat and I asked for my food to go. The place was packed in the morning so when I got my food, I sat down in the waiting area, was pretty hungry. As soon as I took my first bite, the owner came up to me and said I cannot eat there , this is only waiting area and I need a table. Felt like a fascist owner needs 101 on ethics in customer care .. maybe the name salt box is a good one here.. you might leave salty from "great" service. I won't be coming back here.

Steph P.

Yelp
Lovely casual spot near the Prospector Conference Center. Enjoyed their shrimp po boy sandwich served with some awesome garlic fries and cajun aioli. My friend enjoyed her acai bowl. Service was great and we took advantage of their outdoor patio area.

Mark M.

Yelp
The most diverse menu I've seen in a cafe. Incredible service and food. Thanks for taking care of all us during Sundance. I'm sure we were super annoying and entitled.

Brooke C.

Yelp
Such a yummy breakfast spot. Great menu and even some fun breakfast cocktails. I had a latte and the breakfast sandwich and it was delish. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Wife and I visited with our two kids (4 yo and 2 yo) for lunch in late Aug after school started. We were welcomed by several staff immediately. The front of house has a ton of ready made pastries, sandwiches, salads, and family size entrees and sides. There are also 3 or 4 small tables that would be welcomed in rainy or hot weather. Continuing on thru the building, there is a reasonably large outdoor space with 2 and 4 seat tables (almost all covered), a couple picnic tables, and a few strategically placed chairs. We were seated right away and were offered either a 4-top in the shade or a larger picnic table under a shady tree; we chose the picnic table. Our waiter, Garrett, approached us with the specials and gave us time to select our menu items. NOTE: The kids menu we were provided (not the one posted) listed a grilled cheese and fries for $8. Our kids LOVE tomato soup, so we ordered that (one of their specials) and the grilled cheese with fries for them to share. They split the very generous portion of tomato soup in two bowls for the kids; it appeared to be drizzled with a balsamic sauce (and it was delicious). The grilled cheese was crispy and extremely cheesy; the fries appeared to be hand cut and were cooked well. Wife and I ordered both the steak and frites and the crab cake sando for sharing. The thin cut ribeye steak was generously covered in chimichurri (which we LOVE) and was cooked to medium rare as requested. The hand-cut fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned with garlic and parm. The crab cake was flavorful, tender, and flaky. The brioche bun was excellent and the toppings were good. I would maybe have preferred a cabbage slaw to the iceberg lettuce, but I wasn't mad about it. It was served with homemade potato chips and a delicious deli pickle (there was dill and garlic but def another flavor we couldn't figure out and forgot to ask about...it was very good). The two entrees, bowl of soup, and kids grilled cheese meal plus a generous tip was almost $78. That's way more than we'd normally spend on any lunch with kids when we aren't on vacation, but being Park City (where everything just happens to be expensive) and one of the best restaurants we've visited, it was well worth it. We will definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area and will certainly be back when we visit Park City next time.

Hope M.

Yelp
Solid food for the price. Nothing wow but a good meal overall. I feel like they could have added a bit more flavor in the house smoked brisket. Croque Madam was fine but I've definitely had better. I also ordered a matcha latte which tasted really yum however they need to use a whisk to stir the powder. It was very lumpy. Servers were very sweet and the ambiance was cute! Pro tip: if you're visiting with a big party, the have family meals you can take to go that look very good!

Amanda W.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a late lunch over the weekend. I almost feel like I need to give two different reviews as the food was delicious but the service was very poor. Service: We sat down and ordered some drinks (2 Irish coffees and a beer) and our food together. The food came before the drinks came. I asked the runner to check on our drinks and also asked for a spoon as I had ordered chili. Five minutes goes by and I got up from the table and walked to the counter and asked for a spoon. At that point I see the server coming by with our drinks, finally. I was clearly annoyed at that point by both situations, mainly that I had hot chili I was trying to eat with no spoon. It's not difficult to service proper utensils and time delivery of food and drinks properly. Food: I had wild game chili. It was very good. It didn't come with bread or crostinis so I ordered a small side. It was a large bowl and definitely a full meal portion. My husband had the lamb wrap, which was stuffed with lamb and toppings and serviced with a cucumber and olive salad and a side of hummus and falafel balls. Our friend got beef tacos that came with fresh chips and also said they were great.

Zachary L.

Yelp
The service was fine but it's the food that will bring me back. I ordered the breakfast burrito and hubs order the Saltbox Egg Sando. Both were DELICIOUS. We split them each in half and shared. It was so delicious and fairly well priced for the area that tomorrow I think we'll go back so that we know what we're getting and at a pretty good value too. The only thing that would have made it better (and no fault to this establishment) is if you could get a Bloody Mary with your breakfast/early brunch. Again not their fault and I take no stars off for that. Do yourself a favor and stop by saltbox. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Paulina M.

Yelp
One of the only regularly priced locations in Park City. The food is delicious. Their outdoor seating area is nice to sit in. They have trees, benches, and decor in their outdoor seating area.

Joe H.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots for lunch in Park City. Food is fantastic, too many options to mention, my favorite is the French Dip sandwich. Great service, always friendly and happy to see us. Outside patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal.

Gloria F.

Yelp
Food is really good here, and thy have a lovely backyard where you can sit outside. Salt box is what Five Seeds in town used to be, but the latter has now changed hands and the food is not what it used to be. There are lots of vegan options, and good salads for healthy but some sandwiches that are definitely less healthy if that's your jam. If you are interested in grab and go they have a cooler at the entrance with good options as well.

Allison K.

Yelp
From start to finish this cozy restaurant hits all the spots. Delicious food - we had the breakfast tacos and sandwich with lattes. Food was fresh and plentiful. Service was top notch. They have to- go refrigerated items that looked awesome too. Even the background music was perfection.

Oliver S.

Yelp
Let me start by saying we had a lovely server! She was very polite and attentive. The coffee (latte) had a beautiful pour, great taste. Hard to find a good coffee sometimes. My friends got food that looked and tasted good. Ambience was nice, a little cramped but more cozy than uncomfy. I recommend this restaurant- however: Don't get the wagyu steak. I asked for a medium rare and was served a rare. The texture was chewy and stringy and the taste was poor. I was so hungry I didn't notice until about halfway through. I politely asked if they could verify if it was medium rare or rare in the kitchen, as I believe a medium rare steak would have tasted much better. I was told that "this is how the chef always cooks medium rare, this is medium rare." So, if you love rare, not very tasty steaks, it's a safe bet. Let me be clear- the rest of the restaurant seemed nice! But my experience with the steak was not great, and my experience in the bathroom an hour later also wasn't terrific.

Emma P.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for breakfast while visiting park city. We had a pleasant experience on their back patio. The staff was so friendly and food was delicious! We will be back for sure

jessica b.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service. This spot quickly became a family favorite. My parents pretty much only get the fish tacos because they enjoy them so much. Hubby has tried several dishes from pasta to French dip and enjoyed each dish immensely. Great fries! Also really enjoy their açaí bowl and their golden milk latte.

Chavalah B.

Yelp
This place was so delicious and cute! The staff was so kind. We will definitely come back.

Autumn S.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The breakfast burrito with bacon was amazing! The salt box sando was amazing. Service was friendly. We will be back.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
The off-Main dining scene in Park City has really come a long way. This is another good example of how you can get simple but delicious food without the Main Street hassle. I was a bit confused when I looked it up. At first, I thought maybe it was a takeout-only spot, but that is not the case. We were on a bike ride and looking to sit down, and so we locked our bikes out front and were seated out on the patio. It was a lovely patio, with a live musician (but not the kind that blasts you with volume) and we sat with just a handful of other diners. We had dinner, but take note that their hours have changed since then, and they are most likely more known for breakfast and coffee. Currently (Nov 2022) they are only open from 8am-5pm according to the website. Our visit was before the weather turned cold, and I'm unsure if later dinners are a summer thing, or they've just made a business decision. Either way, dining is limited inside, and I you may want to check to see if takeaway is available and may be the best option.

Barndi K.

Yelp
Grab n go or stay to eat their yummy freshly prepared food! Service is super friendly and the place isn't big so get there early. The crispy pork belly steamed buns was a surprise to see and DELICIOUS! My vegetarian friend loved her potato breakfast sandwich (instead of buns, it's hash browns!) as well. Big selection of breakfast/ lunch fares- highly recommend!

Cindy B.

Yelp
Had breakfast here twice during our recent visit in Park City. Wow, breakfast is amazing! The breakfast burrito was light and delicious, wrapped in a spinach wrap and the homemade sausage was so good! The second time I had the Croque Madam - I would definitely get this again! My husband got the Saltbox egg sandwich - it was huge and very good. Go early, they were out of certain dishes both times we went there. The restaurant has already prepared meals like enchiladas that look great. We will be back!

Rick S.

Yelp
Small place that packs a wallop of great homemade items. Unique specials and great take out meals.

Ava L.

Yelp
Great breakfast/lunch spot in park city! Who doesn't love an egg sandwich where the bread is a hash brown!!!! My sister and I split the Potato Egg Sando and the Salt Box Egg Sando and it was great! We also had ice lattes that were pretty good as well. The couple sitting next to us got the Seafood Cobb Salad that looked amazing! Great food and great atmosphere for outside seating (and there were some pups there too)! The server was super friendly as well!! Will definitely stop by again whenever I come back to Park City!!

Tara Lee C.

Yelp
Great lunch or brunch spot. Casual atmosphere with tree shaded outdoor seating and table service. Staff is attentive , considerate and on point. The food was well made from scratch. The egg sanding looked like perfect hangover breakfast/lunch. I enjoyed the falafel and my partner enjoyed the seafood Cobb salad! The cortado coffe I had with oat milk was good too!

Holly D.

Yelp
We loved it! A little gem of a cafe in the outskirts of Park City. (Not Main Street) The food was delicious! Menu is small but the items are all to die for! Freshly Made and whole ingredients. We sat on the back patio for brunch and it was lovely.

Tami B.

Yelp
Amazing find! The avocado toast is amazing (I got my egg scrambled instead). 4.5 stars. The first day was most definitely a 5 star meal, but today's didn't have as much avocado. The egg sandwich is one that both my teenage boys said was the best they'd ever had. 5 stars My husband enjoyed his açaí bowl 4 stars My son also loved his halibut fish tacos. 4.5 stars My older son loved his burger, claiming it was the best burger in Park City. He liked the fries as well. 4.5 stars It does take awhile as they are busy.

Bryan G.

Yelp
Second visit to Park City and this trip we've eaten here 3 times so obviously we love it. We have tried the Egg Sando, Breakfast Burrito, Biscuits and Gravy and the Everything Bagel Bruschetta and all are tremendous! Be prepared that the Biscuits & Gravy is A LOT of food and Saltbox's spin on an old classic and is tremendous. We loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather and laid back atmosphere. Service has been quick and friendly on each of our visits. Cappuccino and lattes are very good as well. We will be back on our next trip for certain!

Khoa H.

Yelp
This review is specific to customer service with one of their employees/probably manager: all other servers and baristas were very nice and this just represents the older woman with long black hair: As we sat down at the open table by the window, she was angry and adamant that we all get up so she could wipe the table, we were quite friendly and said it was perfectly fine. It looked great. Anyways we conceded to her request and got up off the table so she could wipe it. Honestly not a big deal. After some time of waiting for coffee to come out, our food came out and I mentioned politely "I believe we are waiting on a couple coffee as well" and with her laser death eyes said "I'm working on it" with absolutely terrible attitude. Maybe she's having a bad day, I don't know. But honestly, bad customer service in this industry makes me really angry. When it's as easy as a quick smile and hello. She will be the demise of this restaraunt.

H F.

Yelp
We continue coming back for the wonderful food and service. The expanded menu is great. Once the warm weather sets in and the outdoor seating is again available Saltbox becomes our go-to brunch place. And finally: Yelp, you finally removed the derogatory "review" I referenced earlier... thanks, better late than never.

John L.

Yelp
Love this place. Plenty of parking. Only 6 tables inside but there are more tables outside. Lot of choices for grab & go. Our favorite was by far the potato egg sandwich. It's an egg, cream cheese, tomato sandwiched with hashbrown buns. So good, we ordered an extra one. The tofu superfood box was also really good. Thai coconut curry base with lot of veggies. My other kids had the huevos rancheros box and the avocado toast. Didn't get to taste them at all as they ate them so fast. They both claimed the dishes were quite good. The daily special, shredded beef street tacos were decent but nothing to write home about. The habanero hot sauce was super spicy but still had plenty of flavor. Perfect with any egg dish. If you're looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot in Park City this is a must try.

J W.

Yelp
Natalie was such a great waitress, and the food was amazing! The garlic French fries are the best I've ever had! Eat here, you won't be disappointed.

Sally Y.

Yelp
Excellent food and atmosphere! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great place for healthy food options or for those looking to indulge.

Jim K.

Yelp
A small place in a string of small businesses, easy to miss, but worth finding. We arrived late afternoon and had the place to ourselves. We had Cod tacos and enjoyed every bite. They have many prepared foods in the cooler, probably their mainstay. Service was good, although a bit confusing. We'd go back.

Kim S.

Yelp
The best breakfast we've had in Park City. It's only our first time, but we'll definitely be back. The entire menu looks amazing and the best looking takeout selections I've seen anywhere.

Cori S.

Yelp
Holy deliciousness. One of my top 2 all time favorite açaí bowls. It's served in a large enough bowl with peanut butter layered throughout, and the homemade oat/granola mixture on top was superb. My partner also had the steamed buns which were unreal. Great coffee. The place is small but we were able to sit outside right away. Highly recommend! Yum

Mike E.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best places in Park City to get breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner! My wife and I vacation here several times a year and we always make sure to come here for our breakfast and lunch. Their menu contains a variety of delicious options using fresh, wholesome, quality ingredients presented and plated nicely. The portions are generous and fairly priced. The staff are always helpful and very friendly. There is limited table service seating indoors, but you can order take out, or quickly pick up a pre-made salads, protein bowls, or meal kits. Variety of beverages also. Plenty of parking in their dedicated lot. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and the pork belly buns.

Tanya M.

Yelp
Good service food it's excellent, restaurant it's kid friendly we love coming here for lunch !!
