Bad Butter - Review - West Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation
"Contrary to its name, the baked goods from this pop-up with scheduled pick-ups at the Emily Hotel in the West Loop are, in fact, fantastic. Their pain suisse has shiny micro ridges that crackle like a whispered sweet nothing, plus a sweet layer of pastry cream and chocolate tucked inside the incredible lamination. Flaky cruffins are filled with lemon curd and lavender, while kouign ammans have basil-infused mascarpone and blackberry jam. And their Chicago dog is a delicious, mustard and relish-packed pastry that every pig in a blanket aspires to be. The order form only goes live once a week on Mondays, and they sell out quickly, so stay updated by signing up for Bad Butter’s notifications here." - John Ringor
