We came here for a late Thanksgiving lunch. Food was terrific and for the price you get a lot of food! Salad and soup starters were good, definitely recommend the potato soup. Brisket queso was yummy, recommend dipping their bread in that instead of chips! Steaks cooked how we asked, mid rare and rare. Service was great, Jayda at the bar was super sweet and attentive. We will be back for sure and likely this will become our Thanksgiving tradition!

(I wish I remembered his name) When we ordered our drinks, hot coffee and unsweetened iced tea, he replied, “I don’t have anything made fresh, but I’ll go start brewing fresh batch of coffee and tea.” I can appreciate that. Small details really do matter. When he brought our drinks, upon tasting them, my dad and I could tell, our waiter was a person of integrity. Once we ordered our food, it did take a little bit but we didn’t mind. Once the food arrived, both our steaks looked great. Our waiter came back after few bites, to make sure our steaks were indeed how we wanted them. “New York Strip,” 12 OZ, was especially good. Hats off to the chef. It was cooked with perfection. The seasoning and the butter melting on top was amazing. No need for additional steak sauce. “Smoked Mac & Cheese,” was also the best I’ve ever tasted. I had to give some to my dad to try. It was perfect amount of cheesy, well seasoned and good portion of bacon pieces sprinkled over it. I want to give this place, five stars, but despite our waiter going above and beyond, place being fairly clean. I do have few things to mention that doesn’t make this place a Five-Star. We were seated by the kitchen and no complaints there. But some of the kitchen staff, waiters and manager on duty, can be heard complaining and possibly loud arguments. It was somewhat unprofessional and you could tell, staff didn’t care if they were heard or not by dining guests. Otherwise, I would still return and recommend it here. A side note. For a high-end steak house, outside in the dark times, the word, “Salt” is burned out and it looks like it’s been out for over a year.

Saltgrass is a solid choice for a great meal. The staff are incredibly nice and welcoming I never felt rushed at any point during my visit. The food came out quickly, cooked perfectly, and everything tasted fresh. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, which makes the whole dining experience even better. A reliable spot if you’re looking for good food with excellent service.

I ordered a medium steak, which came back with so much Char the steak tasted burned. For some reason, my husband‘s T-bone was not as burned. His actually had juice on the top and glistened where mine looked dry and tasted burnt. Let’s move onto the fried onions. Those were fried in oil that left an aftertaste in your mouth as if the oil was old or rancid. I did send back the medium sirloin, but requested a medium rare sirloin in place of the first one hoping that the char wouldn’t be so overwhelming. That did not happen and only after I ordered the second steak and rejected it did the manager tell me that they could’ve cooked The steak not on an open flame but a different surface. So I feel that the management could have saved one steak by just offering that as an option after the first one was so burnt and tasted burnt. I prefer to taste steak, not Char. I do have a video which I will post. I’m giving Saltgrass 2 stars for potatoes and brussels sprouts but those are kind of hard to mess up and my husband’s steak that was not burned. We did tell our waitress that the onions had an aftertaste and the oil was bad. They only credited two steaks (the two that I returned that were over burnt), but that was another thing that irked me. The steaks were $26.99 but they only credited us $51 and some cents to remove those from the bill. They never credited us the fried onions, even though we left a pile on our table. I ended up never eating a steak because I was so frustrated. And yes, I did not complain about the $51 that was incorrectly credited and the $10 that should’ve been credited for fried onions but I just wanted to get out of there. I waited so long for the second steak not thinking I would be put at the back of the line for a re-order. My husband had already finished his steak and he’s a slow eater. I think waiting for that second steak just put me over the edge. I was hungry and I was hungry for a steak and this place wasn’t cutting it. This experience was a disappointing end of a long day since we had been running around trying to secure a residence for ourselves. It was supposed to be a celebration, but that’s not how it ended up. It really bums me out 2 tasty things were so not tasty, and I was hungry for both. So bummed.

Ordered the Silverstar Porterhouse , it came out cold and the tenderloin side of the T-bone was cooked to death. The server didn’t even bother to ask how it was. It takes real talent to ruin such a good cut of meat and make it feel like no one cares.

All of the food was packed full of delicious flavors. Grilled chicken sandwich was very good, Mac and cheese was enjoyable and the brussel sprouts had a great flavor. The chicken taco soup was okay but the tortilla chip strips were stale and tough to chew..The wheat bread and honey butter was a little odd but after a few bites it grew on me. Friendly staff and clean environment.

We started with the amazing beer bread, honey butter & then I had Maudeens 9oz filet, grilled shrimp, loaded baked potato, house salad with ranch, wine & cheesecake to finish it off. Salad was great, ranch is delicious, even the croutons were so good!! The loaded baked potato had butter, sour cream, bacon & cheese & did not disappoint! The steak was grilled to perfection for my taste (medium plus) and melted in my mouth! The traditional cheesecake has a strawberry sauce with white chocolate glaze - to die for! The best part was our amazing server, Grant H.!! He was kind, attentive, respectful, friendly and timely! Additionally, the manager, Logan, was very kind and courteous! She was great too!! Customer service & food were both out of this world! I can't say enough!!! Ambience is casual to dressy, semi-dimly lit steakhouse with a nice low key vibe. Definitely coming back!!!

Hi folks. Happy July! Yep. Time for good old Texas heat. Also time for Saltgrass AC and a Cowboy ribeye. I love this location. No 20 minute wait for a seat. Restaurant is clean, ambiance is soothing. Seats in the booths roomy, soft leather. Just a relaxing place to dine. I usually order the Bone-in Ribeye, or Cowboy Ribeye. Both good cuts. No, this isn't an A-5 Wagyu, but it also isn't $75+ for a 12 oz. This is a 16 oz steak with sides, salad, $33. Ordered my house salad extra croutons, extra cheese. Great salad. Wish the used more romaine. Steak came out the way I ordered it. Carved nicely. Baked potato was super loaded. Server was attentive, made sure we had everything flowing. At the end, ordered this ginormous slice of carrot cake. This tasted home made. The icing, a super light butter cream that was thich looking, but delicate. The cake was grandmother level good. All and all this was a great meal at a very good everyday steakhouse. It doesn't pretend to be Bobs or Capital Grille. It doesn't need to be. Take care. Hope you're enjoying summer, and some more steak.

I am a regular here at the saltgrass in grapevine and I had the honor of being served by Jonathan who was excellent!!! I could tell he wanted me to have a great experience and I felt very taken care of after a long long long day at work. He constantly anticipated my needs and provided what I needed without me asking. In fact I didn't have to ask for anything he just took care of it. If that wasn't enough his manager Jacques was a constant presence ensuring things were going smoothly for me. To top that off another waiter noticed I had completed my meal, so he decided to proactively provide my ticket so that I could exit in a timely manner. I'm not sure I've ever had service this attentive but those guys made me feel like a queen!!!! Sorry I didn't get the third waiters name but he too deserves as much thanks!!! Great job Team!

We had a gift card and hadn't been to this Grapevine location in a while. It was a good experience. I ordered the 9 oz Maudeen's Filet with the flash fried green beans and side salad. It was an excellent meal. I probably would've been full with the 6oz but let hunger make the call. The beans weren't battered or oily and tasted fresh. My steak was delivered faster than expected but was undercooked a bit which dropped this review one star. The quality of the cut was outstanding and was a much better price than many local steakhouses. Service was excellent. What I didn't like was mixed drink prices weren't listed in the menu (also a factor in the rating) so I opted for a glass of Cabernet. So many places are now charging a ridiculous cost for a mixed drink, and I tend to avoid those eateries and frequent places with reasonable happy hours. Just saying this for the management, I'm not a big drinker but any medium shelf drink that costs more than $8 is basically a ripoff and a customer avoidance tactic. If the price isn't listed I assume the place is ashamed of themselves.

First visit to this chain restaurant. Hostess team very cordial. Found menu options plentiful. The steak dinner I ordered was grilled to perfection. The dinner salad and baked potato tasted great. The various sections of the restaurant allowed for a quiet and peaceful dinner experience. The decor is western themed and tasteful. A four to four and a half star experience.

This Saltgrass is the best in the DFW area we have visited. Management is polite, professional and helpful. Brandy is especially patient & helpful in our experience. Jordan is our favoriite waitress and she is surrounded by a team of exceptional waiters and waitresses. We pass 2 other Saltgrass restaurants to eat at this specific location because the employees here are all great. The management team is doing a lot of things right and it shows in every aspect. We can't recommend this Saltgrass highly enough.

This is a nice place with some solid people working there. The server, Zeke, was pretty new to the place but knowledgable and attentive. He answered all the questions thrown his way with aplomb and made appropriate suggestions. The manager, Michael, checked in and was congenial and enthusiastic. The food came out quick and to order. It was tasty and the carrot cake dessert was really delicious. This is a great location.

We dropped in to meet some friends. It was early afternoon, and only a few people were at the bar, which was a nice surprise; it's not always easy to seat 4 people [together] at the bar!! We ordered drinks and appetizers (HH is excellent here)! The "Queso Fresco with Brisket" was delicious, as were the "Pickles", but watch out, their "Fried Jalapeno Peppers" have a kick, but are really tasty! The bartenders (Todd & Chandler) were friendly and kept us "hydrated" with cold beer, margaritas and more! It was only a short time after we ordered that we were served. The wedge salad is a keeper; fresh and tasty! All entrees were hot, fresh, and visually delightful! The fried shrimp was warm and flavorful, but those Brussles were INCREDIBLE; they'll leave you wanting MORE! The Beef tips were a hit, but the chopped steak could have been better; maybe next time... and don't forget the bread, they are known for it! Drumm roll, please! The desserts are worth waiting for; so save room! We had the "Chocolate Cake" and "Pecan Bread Pudding" (I may have the name wrong) - lol - it was not on the menu, so ASK for it! If it's cold & windy outside, and you are sitting at the bar, you WILL feel the cold/wind every time someone enters/exits the front door! I was glad to have a sweater! The ambiance was nice and people-friendly! We really enjoyed our visit and will return!

We recently stopped by this location in Grapevine on a whim late one night. Our waiter, Tony, was humorous and energetic. Our food came quickly and was prepared to our specifications. My fiancé had the burger with fries, and I had the small filet with grilled shrimp and fried onions. Our orders typically vary depending on our appetites and this location hit the spot with both taste and service. Miss Logan also checked in on us during and after our meal - you can tell she really cares about each patron's experience! We will certainly return when we're back in the area.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a big Texas smile by the hostess. I opted to sit at the bar and the bartender was fast with a menu with the same Texas smile. She gave me a few suggestions then brought out some fresh baked bread. It was probably the best restaurant bread I have eaten, at least in recent memory. I decided on the top sirloin and grilled shrimp with fried asparagus topped with lump crab meat and butter (Oscar topping absolutely delicious) with a loaded baked potato and tortilla soup. The soup came out first and it was the perfect temperature. It was hot and the weather in this Dallas day was a chilly 44 degrees and breezy. It was just the right spice and was truly fantastic. I ordered the steak medium rare and it was served promptly and cooked perfectly. The Oscar topping as stated was very good. The grilled shrimp were big and seasoned perfectly as well. I topped it off with a margarita on the rocks. You guessed it (I won't say perfectly again, at least not out loud). What a great meal. I don't throw around 5 stars but they deserved it.

Got treated by some long-time friends. Crab cakes were incredible, the white cream based sauce meshed well with the crispiness of the crab cakes underneath. Prime rib melted in my mouth. In comparison, the porterhouse was more of a leaner taste which I didn't mind either. However, I found my Brussel sprouts too salty. My meat was a bit too salty on first bite too, but later, as I took a few more bites, the overall taste of the prime rib blossomed. Sadly, the Brussel sprouts didn't experience a similar evolution on my palate and I couldn't finish all of it because the salt was way too liberal. (Perhaps do not equally season both meat and veggies?) Staff was courteous and attentive. Ambiance was your usual nice restaurant feel--not too bright, not too loud, clientele were friendly and not too obnoxious (a great break away from southern California!) I asked staff at the front why was it called Saltgrass? 2-3 of them didn't know the exact origins but made an educated guess, "We use salt and the cows were grass-fed maybe?"

We want to call our waiter, Sebastian, who seemed a little nervous/new, and worked so hard to do everything right and communicate and make sure we had a good experience. I'm not the sort of customer to often write out long Yelp reviews, but sometimes as a server myself I encounter such spectacular service that it deserves an honorable mention. Our sever Edgar and the Manager Logan were amazing. Their customer service skills were exquisite. Food was of the highest quality and came out quickly. There were 7 of us which isn't always an easy scenario for a server, but on this particular dining experience there wasn't anything that went wrong or to complain about. We left impressed.

I have only been here for happy hour, and it is GREAT. $5 glasses of wine and half off apps. The shrimp cocktail is fantastic. If you are into fried things, the Range Rattlers can't be beat. New to the menu, the Tenderloin Bites. They come with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and a chimichurri sauce. SO GOOD. It is a meal. I can't eat it all. Make sure to get the bread to soak up all the delicious goodness in the cast iron skillet. Service at Saltgrass is always good. At every location. Their steaks and entrees are always top notch, but I mostly come for happy hour.

Recommend this place? Maybe Inconsistency in the kitchen detracts from the overall dining experience and makes it difficult to rely on the restaurant for consistently enjoyable meals. We have always found the service a bright note. The servers are friendly, know the menu, and are quick to check on us and to refill drinks. When we order tea, they leave a carafe. That's smart! The food is, as mentioned above, hit or miss. Tonight was both, and that's the primary challenge. Tonight I was happy with my meal, but my wife's steak was overcooked. It's hard to recommend a steak house when someone is disappointed with their meal. More about my meal shortly. We don't usually get an appetizer because their salad is the best of any restaurant we've found. It's always so fresh, large enough to share, and the thousand island dressing is excellent. But, tonight we treated ourselves to a quail appetizer. We ordered the Bacon-Wrapped Quail, with Jalapeño cream cheese, Sriracha honey, Brussels sprouts. It's slightly spicy and I thought it was amazing. My wife thought it was too much spice and didn't eat but one small bite. The quail dish consisted of five legs very neatly prepared on a bed of Brussels sprouts. We weren't impressed with the sprouts, and wish we could have ordered only the quail. Grilled Brussels sprouts are best when they have crispy edges. These sprouts were the bed for the quail, and unfortunately, they were overcooked and mushy. Not our favorite! It's an expensive appetizer when all you really want is quail. Unfortunately, unless Saltgrass were to offer more quail dishes, I'll pass of any future orders. My main dish was the ribs. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. But, here's my opinion. If you close your eyes when biting into a heavily sauced rib, you'd think you were at Chili's Bar and Grill eating their Baby Back Ribs. There's a remarkable lack of uniqueness to the ribs. Seems like Saltgrass would want to distinguish their offerings from other establishments. The ambiance is rustic casual with an always busy bar. There's a fireplace in one of the dining rooms that can be quite cozy on winter nights. Overall, it's a pleasant place to dine, but can get noisy because the tables are too close to each other. In short, we frequent the Grapevine location, but aren't always satisfied.

First thing first, if you're not a Landry's select member, sign up ASAP!! It's a one time $25 fee to join, then they turn around and send you it right back in a gift card to use at any of their qualifying restaurants. You'll also get $25 to use during your birthday month (every year) for as long as you're a member, which is FOREVER!! If all that doesn't convince you, you also collect reward points for every time you dine at one of their participating restaurants which there are over 600 across the nation!! Other perks include, getting seated quickly (bypass the waitlist), gift card promotions through the year ($100 gift card gets you $40 on the side), and other fabulous promotions!! Do it now y'all!! Okay, with that being said, I had $20 years n rewards to use up so Hubby and I decided to do a Happy Hour at Saltgrass before hitting up a movie. Boy oh boy!! Something about getting amazing food for free just hits you different, am I right? Haha! We sat at the bar around 5:30, and it wasn't too crowded at all for a Wednesday. We were greeted right away and given outstanding service all throughout. The bar area itself is a bit tiny but loved the TV setup and comfortable atmosphere. The bartenders were attentive and made us feel welcome. The happy hour menu is half off all appetizers, except the jumbo shrimp cocktail. We ordered the beef tenderloin bites, Brad's crab stack, and fried pickles and peppers. Y'all...it was FABULOUS!! That plus two glasses of wine, a beer, and one margarita. All of that for $21 plus tip!! You can't beat that!! I enjoy this location and this is my third review, because it's close to me and I enjoy coming here. Look up their family meal packs too. Great price and feeds an army. Go check them out!!

Waiter was good I don't remember his name but the food was disappointing today. Saltgrass is what it is, a middle of the road steak restaurant so I don't expect amazing but typically it serves its purpose. Ceaser was good but one steak came out so cold it couldn't even melt the butter after I smeared it. They were nice and took it back but when it came back there was so much butter I had to wipe it off. 30 minutes after dinner and butter is the after taste. Will return as we come sometimes but we usually go to the location off 35 and will most likely go back there.

If you are looking for a family friendly steakhouse, this is the place. For appetizer, I recommend the brisket with queso, it's very delicious. For dinner plate, the 6oz Maureen's filet mignon is flavorful and perfect plate size for a person. For sides, I recommend the Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes because they are perfect combination with the Maudeen's steak. Big shout out to Logan and Lissette, they are both enthusiastic, friendly, hardworking, and detail-oriented. They are the absolute best, and they are one of the reasons why I continue to go to this location. Highly recommend Saltgrass for an easy comfortable dinner experience.

Amazing visit!! First time here and it was phenomenal!! In town for our son's computer competition and chose Saltgrass and it was perfect! From Alex, our amazing server to the wonderful Managers Logan and Michael. Who all went above and beyond to make this visit something to remember!! To top it all off the food was cooked perfectly!!! Wonderful atmosphere and if we are ever back in Dallas this is where we'll go!

The food is always fantastic! My family loves coming to this location. Their steaks are obviously the best choice, but if you want something outside of that bubble then the salmon options are pretty good as well. My only complaint on our most recent visit is that we had 3 different servers throughout our meal. It was extremely confusing and no one really handed us off to the next server or gave us a reason why our server kept changing. I wasn't even sure who my tip was going to at the end. They were all very nice but when we needed something we weren't sure who to flag down because all 3 were still working with other tables. So again...not sure why we kept getting handed off.

My had the best experience at lunch. The manager Brandy greeted us and seated us in a great area for a long lunch. Brandy stoped by to make sure we were pleased. Our server was Lissette and she was so good and attentive to all our needs. We love Saltgrass and appreciate outstanding food and service.
