Our wedding was in April 2025 and we are so glad we worked with Salthouse - one of the best wedding decisions we made. From the start, they offered an amazing and diverse selection of menu options, and their team was wonderful to work with. Close to the wedding, we had a large number of guests who were no longer able to attend, which significantly changed our guest count at the last minute. This meant we needed to rework our menu and selections on a tight timeline, and Jaqueline was absolutely incredible throughout the process. She worked directly with me to fine-tune everything, tailor the menu to fit our updated budget, and made sure I was happy with every decision. The care, time, and attention she gave me as a bride—especially so last minute—meant so much. On the wedding day itself, Salthouse's onsite team was terrific. They all had a fun positive energy that added to the overall ambiance of the day. Each one of them were attentive and helpful, especially when it came to my allergy. Eight months later, guests are still talking about the food—just yesterday, my nephew (who is a bit particular) told me the steak with chimichurri was the best steak he’s ever had. Salthouse catered our wedding on 11/22/25 at the Admiral’s House in North Charleston, SC. They provided both the food and bar for the cocktail hour and reception. Our expectations were not just met, they were exceeded! Our guests absolutely raved about the food. For station entrees at the reception, we served Beef Tenderloin, Shrimp and Grits, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Coq Au Vin. The Ravioli and Beef were fan favorites, although all selections were fantastic. For passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, we served the Short Rib Spoon, Scallop Lollipop, Duck Confit, and Pickled Peach Bruschetta. We also served Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches as a late night snack, as well as a variety of Petite Desserts and Espresso Martinis for dessert. The bar had a wonderful selection of drinks including two custom signature drinks, named after our cats. Everything about our food and bar service were absolutely wonderful. We were told from several guests that we had the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Jacqueline and Vivian were wonderful to work with. We cannot recommend Salthouse Catering enough!

Since receiving our initial inquiry, Mark was amazing at communicating and keeping us updated throughout the process of selecting our menu to the food tasting and finally, our wedding day. We could not say enough amazing things about Salthouse Catering and Mark Sahara. They catered our wedding on November 22, 2025 at the Island House, and from the very beginning, Mark was nothing but communicative, thorough, and incredibly supportive. He was always prompt, walked us through every option imaginable, and truly made us feel confident in our choices once we finalized our menu. The food was absolutely out of this world. We recently had this catering company host charcuterie and cocktails for our corporate event, and they absolutely nailed it. From start to finish, everything was smooth sailing. The team was incredibly nice, professional, and communicative, which made planning effortless. On the day of the event, they handled everything seamlessly and truly made my life so much easier. The presentation was beautiful, the food and drinks were top-notch, and our guests were impressed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend them for any event! Also super accommodating for specific dietary needs and restrictions which was SO helpful! Loved it!

We worked with Salthouse for our wedding at Alhambra Hall. Jacqueline French was our main point of contact and she was awesome! Throughout the planning process she was extremely prompt with communications and after our tasting there was no doubt in our minds about selecting them for our wedding reception. We also appreciated that they were familiar with our venue since it does not have a full kitchen. We felt confident in their plan to bring a mobile kitchen and the day of I honestly would have never known! The food, the staff, and the service thoroughly exceeded our expectations. My #1 item when planning our wedding was to have incredible and memorable food, especially since the majority of our guests were coming from out of town. We heard rave reviews throughout the night, and even two months later are still hearing compliments about the food at our wedding. We so appreciate Salthouse's professionalism and culinary talent. It was also a nice surprise to receive a box of mini desserts after our wedding because we did not have a chance to have any the night of! We definitely recommend Salthouse to anyone looking for amazing food for their wedding!

I’m the Lead Planner with Multiplicity Wedding and Events and we had the absolute pleasure of working with Salt House Catering for a recent wedding, and I cannot say enough about their exceptional service. Jacqueline, Teresa, and the entire team were phenomenal—professional, attentive, and such a joy to collaborate with from start to finish. Their staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly, always keeping us updated throughout the evening and anticipating needs before we even had to ask. Guests raved about both the food and the service, which truly elevated the entire celebration.

Salthouse Catering was great to work with! I utilized their 6 person dinner package, which included SO much food. It fed 7 people (with plenty of leftovers). The menu included a charcuterie board, salad, caprese, chicken, lasagna, green beans, garlic bread, and so much more for around $400. It was packaged very professionally and delivered to my house for free. All ingredients were really high quality and everything tasted delicious! 10/10 recommend their professionalism and great quality food.

From the very first phone call to our wedding, Salthouse was absolutely fantastic every step of the way. After speaking to a few different caterers on the phone, Salthouse was the obvious choice because we felt like they were really invested from the beginning, we weren't just another number to them. They asked personal, in-depth questions that made us feel confident that they were the people for the job. We wanted the food at our wedding to reflect Charleston's cuisine since we had a lot of out of town guests, and several guests said it was the best fried chicken and shrimp and grits they ever had. For cocktail hour, we had a beautiful Southern antipasto spread with biscuits, pimento cheese, and all the fixings. We were blown away during the tasting and they made everything so easy. They even coordinated the rentals for our linens through Snyder, which was a huge help. They were super professional and we had a perfect wedding day thanks to them. Highly recommend them for any event!

We had the best experience with Salthouse Catering for our Oct 2022 wedding -- from the in-person tasting all the way to our wedding day. The team was extremely flexible with the menu from the big details to the small (like switching dried blueberries to fresh blueberries), and the food was very good. I'll admit we were skeptical they (or anyone else) could scale the deliciousness of the 5 person tasting to an entire wedding reception, but they nailed it! Most impressively, we had the skirt steak as one of our family style meals, and the steak was perfectly cooked (not overcooked), which I've never experienced at other weddings! During dinner, Chef checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed, which was really thoughtful. 10/10 would recommend for any wedding or event!

As an event partner, we can always count on the team at Salthouse to exceed our client's expectations. They go above and beyond during the proposal, tasting and event day experiences. The food is exceptional- fresh, quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. For events large and small, they can do anything!

Vince & the team at Salthouse Catering CRUSHED it on every point at Founders Hall this evening . Originally schedule for an outdoor venue, a terrible storm moved through .... the catering team didn't miss a beat with a last minute venue change ... they offered beautifully presented hors d'Oeurves and despite an hour delay while the photographer whisked the couple away , they were able to successfully execute a dual entree of Steak and crab cake - served perfect temp and artfully plated. What an amazing team - from the tasting to to grand departure - kudos to this team !

Artful, colorful and playful would best describe the cuisine that Salthouse's Executive Chef and Part-Owner, Todd Mazurek, produces. He is flexible to work within a variety of flavor profiles. I am particularly fond of his elaborate, yet petite, hors d'oeuvres. They awaken the palate to new and inventive flavor combinations. His small plates and entrees are equally as divine. Designing menus to best reflect the season, he works closely with a variety of famers, purveyors and vendors to source the highest quality, local food products available. Chef Mazurek and his business partner, Tanya Gurrieri, bring a restaurant quality to catering service. They are comfortable entertaining groups from the smallest to the largest crowd. Adapting to the needs of their clients, Chef Mazurek and Tanya will build your dining experience around everything from the most casual, to the most sophisticated catered event. We had the most exceptional experience with Salthouse Catering and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Vince was incredible to work with. He was one of the most responsive and thorough people I worked with throughout wedding planning and made the process stress-free. We received many comments from guests that the food was the best they have had at a wedding. We changed some things after our tasting and Vince really made the menu align with our tastes. We weren't disappointed with the items we didn't try during our tasting and the quality and flavor were extremely consistent with that of the food tasting. We would 100% go with Salthouse again and highly recommend them!

Great food, Service and facilities. Great place to have a venue. Has a full bar. I love the decor and lighting. I told my husband this would be a perfect place to have a retirement party. =)) Worth visiting or even just hiring them for catering.

The very best catering experience in Charleston ... Everything was perfect and all of my guests commented on the fabulous food and service! Our daughter's wedding was outdoors, split into two separate venue areas and Salthouse did an excellent job welcoming our guests as the entered each space. Wedding ceremony site had cooling drinks and snacks (be sure to try the smoked snack mix) ready for guests as they entered the park... Setting a welcoming tone... Guests, shuttled to reception site, were welcomed by Salthouse with trays of fun, inventive appetizers served in just the right "bite-size" portions for the cocktail hour. Dinner service which included individually-plated salads and a family style service (for 100 guests) was very well-timed, servers were great, and the food was absolutely amazing! Salthouse is awesome!

Tanya and her staff are amazing. She helped me create a menu tailored to my guests' very specific diet requirements and it all tasted delicious. The staff onsite at my reception were wonderful and the food displays were so well put together. So many guests pulled me aside to rave. I recommend anyone getting married in the Charleston area use Salthouse. You will be so glad you did.

Excellent catering! From the initial planning & designing to the final event, Salthouse was professional, creative, and reliable. Hors d'oeuvres, small plates and entrees were excellent in presentation and included great variety of local flavors and foods. Service was timely and professional for a wedding reception of 140 people. I would highly recommend Salthouse!

Vince was so amazing! He really was the mvp for our wedding. He was so helpful through all the planning and the setting up. He recommended other vendors to us. I don't know what we would have done without him. The food was delicious exactly what we wanted. We're so thankful that he was a part of our special day. I don't think things would have turned out so wonderful if we didn't have him there.
