Wow! What a great hidden gem... literally hidden in that if you don't Google it first you'll drive right past. We wanted to try somewhere new so we searched for "Mexican Food" and picked this place at random and now we have a favorite sit-down Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood.
The decore and atmosphere is quirky but in a great way. The music is Latin pop and not cliché "American Mexican Restaurant" music. You can TELL that this is a locally owned establishment not beholden to corporate overlords.
The food is great! I had 3 cheese chili relleno and barbacoa enchilada combo with soup and rice/beans and OMG was it amazing! My BF had the chicken and carne street tacos and he knows what he'll be getting when we come again.
We spoke to the owner/manager for a bit and she was great. I love when you can feel they're putting their heart into the business.
If they had a more noticeable exterior I bet this place would become a local hot spot but it's sort of hidden in a shopping center and we had to slowly drive through the lot looking for it. It's between a big Laser Tag place and a Gym set far back from the street so if it had some neon signage or something you could see from afar it'd attract way more attention.
The seating is comfortable, the vibe is upbeat, the staff is attentive, and the food is delicious! For around $20/each you'll have a great evening out. We are 100% coming back.
