"Since opening in Barrio Logan in 2015, the eatery has become a neighborhood fixture and a standout San Diego spot singled out by The New York Times; its flagship occupies a historic building on Logan Avenue and is adding 2,000 square feet called the La Bamba Room, which will offer an expanded menu, weekend brunch and a full bar. It regularly draws lines for well-priced, well-made tacos as well as ceviche, nachos, mulitas and daily specials that range from pozole to empanadas. ¡Salud! is also opening a second, 5,000-square-foot location on Midway Drive in the Midway District (with parking) that will feature the same expanded menu, brunch and full liquor service and will house San Diego Taco Company, the local catering outfit that spawned the original; the restaurant expects both the Barrio Logan expansion and the Midway location to be up and running by June." - Candice Woo
