From the moment we ascended the stairs into the dining room, till the time we left about 2 1/2 hours later, the service, food and ambience were excellent! We were especially pleased with our server, Elena. She is personable, helpful, and was responsive to our needs. She is someone who enjoys her work and does it so well.
We skipped the appetizers and ordered some cocktails. They're a little pricey, but my old fashioned was quite large and very tasty-- one of the best I've ever had!
Out of our group of six, all of us had steak, four fillets and one ribeye.
One member of our party, a frequent diner at Saluda's, is a vegan and they prepared a very nice vegan meal for him.
My entrée was cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks I've had in recent memory. The outside was charged nicely. The flavor of the meat was superb, and it was cooked perfectly.
Those who ordered filet, were very pleased with both the tenderness of the meat and how they were prepared!
We also ordered a bottle of Italian red, called Cum Laude; it had a nice smooth mouth feel, a rich, jammy flavor, and just the right amount of tannins. Our sides, whether fingerling potatoes, asparagus scallops, or mashed potatoes, were seasoned well and cooked perfectly.
All in all, a great dining experience!
