"This characterful 1720s coaching inn has a surprisingly contemporary interior matched by understated bedrooms. Dinner takes place in the intimate dining room, while lunch and afternoon tea are served in the airy glass-covered historic courtyard – the perfect spot for a sunny afternoon. In the evening, choose between a tasting menu and a seasonally-themed à la carte, where modern dishes are well-judged and nicely balanced. Be sure to pick up some goodies from their deli and wet fish shop on your way out." - Michelin Inspector

The food at the Salutation was absolutely delicious and great for value. I recommend the chicken breast with creamy mushrooms. A massive thanks to Emma for everything today.

This location is closed, but they are erroneously still accepting bookings through third parties. I recently experienced this firsthand! We showed up for our 2-night stay in Carmarthen only to find the building locked and deserted. I called the owner and she said she's tried to get the listing removed, but without any success. It may reopen in the future, but until then, please do not book here! You will be in for a disappointment.

Absolutely fantastic place! We stopped by on our drive from Staffordshire to Tenby and we don't regret it one bit! We had a very warm & friendly welcome as soon as we entered the pub, a table for 2 was available and the food was AMAZING! The Lamb & Mint Pie and Lasagne was just bob on with a cold pint of Moretti and A Pinot Grigio!👌 All the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly - So was Sam! 🐾 I'd 110% recommend this pub - we'll definitely come along on our way back for a roast dinner!

We found this pub by chance and went in intending only to have a drink and a sandwich. However, on viewing the menu ordered Tapas instead. Absolutely gorgeous 💯 food. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go again when visiting family. 🙂

We arrived to a warm, friendly, cosy setting. My husband had leek and potato soup with warm ciabatta bread.. followed by the Lamb shank with veg, mash and gravy. The portions were generous and the lamb fell off the bone. Very, very tasty. I had chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce that was absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly... Cant wait to go back soon with the rest of our family.

Having travelled on a Sunday afternoon to a apartment within walking distance and not taking any food was poor planning on our part.Despite kitchen being closed and pub close to shutting a exceptionally good meal of T bone steak garlic roast potatoes salad and mushrooms washed down with Welsh ale. Thank you again.

Wow. Possibly the most unfriendly landlady in existence. If you aren't sociable maybe the hospitality industry is not for you. Had a drink on Saturday evening and the pub closed at 9pm with the door slammed behind us. The only pub in the village but locals not welcome. Can't say anything about the food as I won't visit a second time. Just sad really.
