22 Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires for Parrilla, Pasta, and Potatoes | Condé Nast Traveler

"There is no actual door at this bakery inside an old garage, just an open kitchen and small eating area that looks onto the Dorrego street. Salvaje ups the bread game in BA with their wonderful sourdough loaves. While most people will take the bread home, there are a few tables and stools for snacking. Bread might be Salvaje's specialty, but the barista knows how to whip up a great flat white. For a boozy afternoon bite, order an Aperol Spritz to chase down all those carbs. Salvaje makes some of the best bread in the city, so naturally, that's why you should go. Skip the brunch menu and head straight for the bread basket breakfast special to understand how Argentines do their simple morning meal. Each basket comes with a choice of butter, jam, dulce de leche, or olive oil. If you haven't carb loaded enough, add a few buttery croissants to the scenario." - Celeste Moure, Allie Lazar

Amazing bakery I visited for lunch the other day. Good sour dough bread, yummy sandwiches, space very well organized and designed. Only minus is that the street have a lot of traffic but well worth a visit!

One of my favourite places to brunch in Buenos Aires. Everything I've tried was tasty and everything in the store looks tasty as well! I've been here 4 times and I was always served by the same person who's a lovely guy! Highly recommended.

Great bakery with very good (specialty) espresso. We tried their chocolate bun, croissant and pastrami bagel. In terms of craftsmanship and ingredients = top!

They serve one of the best cappuccinos (and coffe in general) in BA and you can accompany it with a solid brunch menu and especially great sandwiches, made from the very bread this bakery/coffee shop also sells you to take home. Prices are very fair and portions very generous (huge delicious sandwiches with lots of filling). A great place for brunch (at whatever time of the day). The only negative is that both the place and the tables are very small and there is no real "interior" space. This can be a plus when the weather is nice, but in bad weather you get little protection from the elements. The place is usually very crowded, which to me is a sure sign of them doings things right!

Breads, food and coffee are delicious! I’ve been here with friends over a dozen times, and often pick up a cappuccino or machaccino to go. Their coffee (and Oli) seem to be the best in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is an authentic rock bakery.

We had a great breakfast at Salvaje Bakery. Charming little place with friendly staff members and interesting art. They have a menu in English and Spanish. I highly recommend the ice coffee and the scramble eggs. They have a bread flight which is delicious. However, it was a lot for just 2 people. Do read the menu carefully if you have any nut allergy cause a lot of the items to do contain some type of nuts like the Parfait and the cheese selection. There is also reliable wifi.

Google
My first encounter with this grungy little bakery was in 2018, their core specialty is sourdough breads. Not to mention the wide assortment of pastries. Their menu still maintains a faithful connection to its original lineup, it offers a variety of small tapas style dishes that are loaded with flavor and color. Careful attention is paid to the aesthetic. The bakery has evolved and changed over the years, but it’s counter-culture vibe is still evident through walls covered in graffiti, pictures and quotes of Kurt Cobain. Happy to see the pulled pork plate and sandwich have survived through the various iterations over the years. Kind staff and an attentive owner, a key ingredient in the success of any culinary establishment.

Yelp
I think I'm really picky about bread and it has been difficult to find decent bread here in Buenos Aires -- and the bread here is decent! Beyond grabbing a loaf, we got a sandwich (the braised pork shoulder) and it was good but I felt like there was something missing! Maybe a crunch or something acidic or salty? The bread was also starting to disintegrate because the meat was wet which made it quite messy. Overall it was a decent sandwich tho!

Yelp

Yelp
Anyone for the BEST BRUNCH in Palermo Hollywood? Some of the highlights are the medialuna with ham and cheese and the shareable flight of rustic toast with choice of 3 sides (we chose scrambled eggs, roasted garlic dip, and pulled pork). The Kendrick Lamar playlist put us in amazing mood as we sipped our cappuccinos! If there is a waitlist - just wait. The tables turn over pretty quickly. We went 4 times on our 12 day trip to CABA.

Yelp
The ham and cheese sandwiches we had were amazing along with the hot drinks. Best bread! Great place breakfast and lunch.

Yelp
The cafe is oozing with charm, and I appreciate that you can order eggs all day long. We split the 3-item brunch (eggs, hummus, and tabouleh) which, along with the basket of bread, was more than enough for two people. I didn't try any of the generously sized sandwiches or tartes, but they looked great as well.

Yelp
This is not the normal Argentinian breakfast. Sure they have medialunas but the the focus is on bread and vegetables. We go on a Saturday and the brunch menu seems very nice but we opt to get things of the normal menu. The tea is very nice, the coffee is perfect. Actually my friend says it's the best coffee she has had in Argentina and only beaten by NK in Stockholm. The tabbouleh salad is very nice, not really classic but super nice with kale and sweetened mustard seeds. The sándwiches are also very tasty, fresh and with a lot of flavor on wonderful bread. The fresh orange juice is a little watery but i guess that is just the day form of the oranges. A new favorite in the area.

Yelp
Adorable cafe with a great ambience! They offer coffee, bread, pastries, sandwiches etc. - great place to stop for a quick bite. Friendly service and good prices. I had a DDL croissant and a cheese roll, both were delicious! I also tried the carob bread and banana bread which were also very tasty and full of flavor. The coffee was some of the best I've had in BA.

Yelp
Cute bakery and sandwich shop. Communal tables are good for solo travellers. Visit included loud metal music to give you that authentic disaffected youth vibe so popular in Latin America.

Yelp
A lovely spot to have coffee, especially on a warm day (no sun, sadly). I found it while traipsing through the neighborhood looking for another coffee shop. The murals across the street are lovely and whimsical and the atmosphere here is as well. The coffee was excellent as were the media lunas.

Yelp
Oh my god. This was the best breakfast we had in Buenos Aires. Be patient. You'll probably have to wait for a table (just grab a seats as they open up) and it was a little intimidating not knowing if we ordered at the counter or table at first (table) even though they were friendly. But the patio ambiance is sooo festive and cozy, and the food and coffee are sooo good. Plus great decor and plenty of dog and people watching while you wait for your food.
