Salvaje Miami - Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Salvaje is a rooftop restaurant in Midtown best known for almost catching on fire thanks to a wayward sparkler and troublingly flammable decor (thankfully, the damage was minimal). This is an odd little restaurant whose only discernible theme is: rhinoceros. The outdoor space is decorated with an alarming amount of severed, golden rhino heads. The menu is one of those vaguely Asian menus that mostly consists of some very whatever sushi. Viewed solely as a restaurant, this place is pretty awful. But it’s a viable clubstaurant option because the outdoor rooftop space has a lovely sunset view, the food is edible, and portions aren’t laughably small. Plus, during our visit, the DJ was playing a disco-heavy mix that featured not one but three Abba songs. And Abba makes everything better." - Ryan Pfeffer

We absolutely loved this place — definitely a 10/10. The food is exquisite, the service is excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is very pleasant, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal in a comfortable and welcoming setting. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Such a great place to have a cute date night or something casual with friends, hubby and I went by a friends recommendation and we enjoyed every minute there. Had a few of appetizers and meal and it was delicious but the drinks are the star of the show for sure.

German is amazing! So nice. Rooftop bar tucked away in midtown with great Japanese fusion. Good views and great service. First time. Inside the Hyde hotel where a lot of folks are here for work. Hidden gem! Will come back

The atmosphere is very nice and the view is great. However, the food is VERY bad!!! I visited this restaurant to enjoy cocktails somewhere after dinner. After enjoying cocktails and desserts (cocktails are $22 + 20% service charge. I don't think the taste is even worth it considering the price, but I might visit again if I factor in the atmosphere, etc.) I was still little hungry so I tried the salvaje roll and it was by far the worst sushi I have ever had in Miami. Like gross... I think maybe the snow crab was rotten, but it tasted so bad that I couldn't even finish it, even though we shared it w 2 ppl. Given the atmosphere, I might go there just for the cocktails, but the food is an absolute waste of money. By the way, we paid 120+ for one sushi, cake and two cocktails.

A Culinary Gem in Miami – Salvaje Salvaje Miami was an unexpected discovery through a blog, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the recommendation. This rooftop Japanese restaurant is an experience in itself, combining exquisite cuisine, live music, and an electric ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. From the very first bite, it was clear that Salvaje takes culinary artistry to another level. The miso soup was hands down the best I’ve ever had, presented beautifully and packed with deep, comforting flavors. My vegetarian noodles were nothing short of spectacular—perfectly balanced, rich, and satisfying. Meanwhile, my partner enjoyed an equally impressive non-vegetarian meal, featuring flawless bao buns. To end on a sweet note, the chocolate mousse was a revelation—silky soft yet perfectly structured, holding its shape until the moment my spoon glided through it. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable, with our server offering thoughtful recommendations that elevated our experience. The atmosphere—vibrant yet sophisticated—made it all the more memorable. If we had more time in Miami, we would have returned in a heartbeat. But one thing is certain—Salvaje Miami is now a must-visit for us whenever we’re back in town. ⭐ 5/5 – A Vibe, A Feast, An Unmissable Experience! ⭐

We chose Salvaje Miami for a Friendsgiving dinner on a Wednesday night. Our party of nine was excited for the experience, especially since the restaurant was almost empty that evening. Unfortunately, the night didn’t go as smoothly as we hoped. We decided to split the bill by couples, but our seating arrangement placed all the girls on one side and the guys on the other. This seemed to confuse the staff, and the service quickly became disorganized. Food delivery was inconsistent—some of us received our food while others waited over 15 minutes in between to be served. To add to the frustration, I had to ask three times for my appetizer, which was mistakenly given to someone else at the table. One of the girls asked for a sauce for her sushi, but it never arrived. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and unsure of how to manage the situation. Despite these issues, the food and drinks I eventually received were quite good. However, given the high prices, the level of service and organization fell far below expectations. While Salvaje has potential, our experience left much to be desired. I’d recommend it for the ambiance and quality of food, but only if they can improve their service.

Best edamame I've ever had and some of the best sushi and flavors I've had in Miami. Cool decor and great rooftop view!

Google
Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, especially the sushi and lobster gyozas. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the attention to detail is unmatched. What truly made our night was our amazing server, Mauro. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and had the best recommendations. He made us feel so welcomed and taken care of the entire time. You could tell he genuinely cared about making our experience memorable! Highly recommend Salvaje if you’re in Miami, and if you’re lucky enough to get Mauro as your server, you’re in for a 10/10 night!

Yelp
Went there for Miami spice. The view is absolutely amazing especially if you are there during the sunset hours. Food was pretty decent too. I loved the seabass. And the yuzu pie! It was tart, just the way I like it! As for service, it was okay. Servers were always busy talking to each other and not paying attention to their customers. We often had to raise our hand to get their attention. I saw another table doing the same too. Bonus points - the music they play!! I loved loved loved the music.

Yelp
We ordered a lot of food. We were a party of 4 and tried our best to order what the server recommended and what we thought sounded good on the menu. Salmon crispy rice Lobster dumplings Mushroom dumplings 2 orders of the Salvaje tacos Brussel sprouts Mushrooms Rock shrimp tempura Wakame salad Chicken tandori Duck fried rice Wagyu fried rice Pekin duck Wagyu skirt steak. From everything listed above, the lobster dumplings and Pekin duck were the least favorite for the whole table. But everything else was delicious. The presentation was very nice and great quality for the price. Dessert we had the coconut tree Leche. It was scrumptious. As for the server, Mauro was amazing. He described every dish, made great recommendations and checked up on us very frequently. Water and plate changes were done consistently without having to ask. So if you want to enjoy a rooftop dinner for a great price and great service, this is the place to go. Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10

Yelp
Great views, good food and service is stellar. They have a fusion Japanese menu and you have to try the Salvaje Roll. Enjoy.

Yelp
Do pick Salvaje for your Miami rooftop Japanese restaurant experience! You won't regret it. The ambiance is on the exotic side with fabulous decor as you enter. There is so much to look at all around you. Many photo ops are available. We were seated in the middle of the rooftop and still were able to enjoy the view of Midtown. Our server was Camilo, and he took good care of us. He knew the menu well and made good recommendations to us. We each ordered the skirt steak with potato and salad, and it was brought to us on a personal grill. We loved it. The avocado slices were delicious, too. For drinks, we tried the Sea of Love ($22) and the Colada Salvaje ($22). Both were excellent! As other reviewers have mentioned, we also felt uncomfortable by the Salvaje rule or tradition, that we needed to leave within and hour and a half of being served dinner to make room for the next dining guests. You weren't exactly pushed out, but there were hints to that effect. The more guests, the more money made each day. We have never experienced this type of behavior at a Miami restaurant. Therefore, I had to deduct one star. There is valet parking as well as street parking. Wheelchair accessible entrance.

Yelp
Salvaje is located on the 7th floor of the HYDE in Midtown. The ambiance is perfect for a birthday dinner or date night. For drinks we had the Oyuwari, Ikigai and the Porn Star Salvaje, I must say they were absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. Food was good overall, the lamp was cooked perfectly, it melts in your mouth. The Rock Shrimp tempera it was crispy in every bite and the Octopus was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Not impressed by the Steak Salvaje, it was bland and chewy. The side of potatoes were cold and too greasy. The cacao Salvaje was not rich enough for a chocolate mousse. The service is great, staff is attentive and they also have dancers performing. Golden Hour is from 6pm-8pm Sunday- Thursday Cocktails 11+ Sushi 10+ Small bites 8+ I would come back to try their happy hour.

Yelp
Salvaje is great for groups. The rooftop vibe is super cute. We came and it was pouring but they have areas to sit under covering so you can avoid the Miami random downpour. The sushi was yummy and so were the apps. Unfortunately I did not love any of the specialty drinks we tried. We had a group of 10 so w tried a bunch. I just ended up sticking to a good ol' faithful margarita and that worked. Oh.. the bathrooms are a good distance from the actual restaurant so be prepared for a little bit of a walk ladies in those heels. Wait staff was on top of cleaning up the table and checking in. Always a plus.

Yelp
The skyline views and ambiance are probably my fav thing about Salvaje. The food is always great. Although one of my fav rolls is no longer on the menu. Had the shrimp roll instead and duck fried rice which never disappoints. I love the love entertainment. And the bar tenders and servers are always super personable.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice. Each time exceeded our expectations. Service was always completely on point, and we have never ordered something we didn't like. Highly recommend the peking duck.

Yelp
Impromptu happy hour stop which was awesome because their golden hour ends at 8 pm which is pretty generous for a Friday night. The interior design and decor is amazing - really well done, picturesque - Tulum vibes. Our bartender was very attentive - they actually had a ton of people on staff so service was pretty great here. I wouldn't say the happy hour prices were ground shattering but reasonable for midtown. I had 2 margaritas (one spicy) which were really good. Their shishito peppers I highly recommend they come in this addicting glaze. I had their truffle dinamite roll for $10 which was 4 pieces. For HH small bites I was pretty pleased. I'd definitely return! This is such a hidden gem.

Yelp
Love coming here for drinks and a bite or two! They have happy hour now which is amazing because it can be a bit pricy. Service isn't always super fast but that's okay because if I'm coming here I'm expecting to take in the views for a while. It's the perfect place to watch the sunset with the perfect tulum vibe. Cocktails are served in fun glasses and are always well balanced. Great place for getting together with friends

Yelp
Omg my sister took me for Miami spice special for my birthday and it was amazing. The food was fresh and well prepared. The service was A1 my waiter really gives the best experience I could've ask for . The restaurant it self is a vibe for a intimate dinner a great celebration it was very beautiful inside.

Yelp
The vibes of this rooftop were AMAZING! You do need a reservation as it gets packed especially that I went on a Friday night after a conference nearby. Our server was so nice and accommodating. The drinks are served in the CUTEST glasses so presentation is always a plus. The food was very tasty but we would need to order more food to be full - portions are kind of small. As the night went on, dancers came through and performed and we had a live DJ as well.

Yelp
I recently checked out Salvaje's happy hour, it's from 6-8pm featuring bites & nice cocktails. I tried the mezcal margarita and really enjoyed it, my friend got the flamingo drink on the picture and loved it as well. I tried the crispy rice w salmon, and was not impressed, the rice was a bit overcooked... The service is okay, not the best, we felt a little abandoned despite sitting at the bar.. i would visit again and give it another try!

Yelp
Made reservations for 9:00pm (Saturday) upon arrival we were greeted by the hostesses but we waited about 15 mins for our table even with a reservation. Henry was our waiter and he was exceptional - knowledgeable with the menu items and recommended several dishes from the menu. The drinks were delicious - I got 'Sea of Love'. Appetizers we got the short ribs buns (chefs kiss), sadly it was only 2. Then for dinner we ordered Wagyu Beef fried rice, and Wagyu Skirt Steak. The fried rice was like no other. Full of flavor and not too filling. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium). For dessert, I ordered the coconut tres leche which was small (not shareable). It was moist and all the flavors complemented each other. I would've given it a 5 stars if we didn't have to wait to be seated even with reservations. Would recommend for a nice date or a girls night out.

Yelp
This place is located inside the Hyde hotel on the 10th floor. We went on a Wednesday night for a friends birthday and for a Wednesday it was pretty packed. The ambiance is boho chic and the service is actually pretty good for this side of town. The food was unexpectedly good. I am not a fan of these types of places but I am happy to say that Salvaje did not disappoint. Our server was Eduardo and he handled our party of 10 perfectly. It was ladies night so we drank free all night. Our bill was 1800$ a pretty steep price tag for dinner but it was actually worth it. No complaints. We ordered Duck Fried Rice, Lobster Dumplings Spicy Salmon Sushi, Wagyu Fried RiceSkirt Steak, Short Rib Buns, Salmon RollSalmon, Crispy Rice and 3 Wagyu steaks for the table. Everything was good!
google avatar

Yelp
The ambience is an entire rooftop vibe, which I personally love. Our waiter was amazing and very fast and attentive. The food was also delicious. Trendy restaurants always make me nervous, but. Salvaje did not disappoint with the menu. We did not make it to dessert as we got so full off of our entrées. My favorite role was the spicy salmon roll. Also had a good mocktail menu

Yelp
Ambience - very cool. You take an elevator upstairs and you enter a party, which while not unique to Miami, this was a party you wanted to be at. There were dancers and all of the waitstaff was dressed in leopard print - tacky? A little, but it fit for the setting. As I was told before coming here, you're coming for the setting, not the food. Service - it was decent. Not exactly what I'd expect at a restaurant, but pretty typical Miami service. Take that for however you want to take it. Food - small portions, high price, and nothing special. I get that this is Miami, but this was very average "good food." There was nothing wrong with the taste, just not good enough to warrant their prices. I took a couple of pictures, but honestly wasn't too impressed. The short rib bao actually had terrific flavor. These were good. The crispy rice with salmon was honestly a little one dimensional, but it wasn't bad. Lobster dumplings were decent, nothing special. There were other appetizers too, honestly, I don't even recall them. I'm sure if I actually took time to remember them, I would, but I guess this means they were pretty forgettable. As for the entrees, my husband and I had the wagyu skirt steak, a side of the yuca fries, and the wagyu fried rice. These were decent, but I was disappointed by the small portion of wagyu skirt steak. It was maybe 4 ounces worth? Come on - SRF sells wagyu skirt steak for 1.5lbs for 85.00. Overall, I think this place was nothing impressive. It has good food, but it's very average food food and it does not warrant the price tag. And I'm not cheap at all, not by any means, I just feel the need to stress this about this place in particular.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriends went out for a girls night, and were excited to experience every thing salvaje had to offer. I must say we were pretty disappointed. You would think with such steep prices, the food would be amazing, but alas, it wasn't. The crispy rice salmon appetizer was so hard the rice got stuck to our teeth. The shrimp sushi roll tasted fishy and was also the circumference of a quarter. We had to get the crispy rice comped because of how bad it was. The only good part of this place was the mushroom dumplings, and the decor, and views.

Mariam S.

Yelp
TERRIBLE!!!! Unfortunately, it used to be good. I started going here since the beginning. Unfortunately, the food quality is terrible, portions are smaller, soy sauce is made in house and it's terrible. My Benigno was about 5 inches long for $49, not to mention it was burned to crisp. Sadly to say, restaurant was empty and the vide was off on a Saturday night They ruined it
google avatar

Oriana C.

Yelp
So I am not giving 3 stars to the food. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and everything was great. They wanted us to leave after 4 hours, when the bill came I didn't realize the 20% tip and the server didn't mention ofc that and made me put more tip in top Food was great, drinks were good but very very warm, as we had to constantly ask for servers to bring ice because they are warm. The skillet is so worth every penny! Order that and the crab rolls and your stomach will be thanking you

Yelp
Been going there many many many times love the vibe. Love the view at sunset. Lobster dumplings are my absolute favorite and the truffle dumplings.

Cindy U.

Yelp
HORRIBLE 2 hours into the reservation and no food ! Appetizer took over 40 min to reach the table and not everyone got there appetizer at the same time and waited over a hour for main course since even after getting up to leave food never reached the table ! asked server we needed to leave they kept telling us manager was gonna come to the table NEVER CAME TO THE TABLE not only until they saw our party get up to leave did they come with the check for the drinks that they still added a 20% grad even after not being served absolutely horrible if there was a no star option I would put no stars !

Yelp
Come with me to Salvaje Miami, located in Brickell. Salvaje is a rooftop restaurant that offers delicious food, drinks, and views. My first time at Salvaje was a year ago for a friend's birthday dinner, and I was impressed with the food, ambiance, and price. My friend texted me early in the afternoon that she wanted to go to a rooftop bar/ restaurant, and the first place that came to mind was Salvaje. I fell in love with their Waygu Beef Fried Rice on my first visit, but this time, I wanted to try something different. For my drink, I had the Daikiri Salvaje made with Rum Bacardi Superior, fresh lemon, and blueberry syrup. Blueberry syrup is very present in the drink and the main point of it. I liked the drink, but it is not something I would go for again, as it was on the sweeter side for my taste. I had their Rock Shrimp Tempura, and it was crispy in every bite, one of the best shrimp tempura I've had. I would also get their short rib buns but opt for a dessert. The Coconut Tres Leches caught my attention, but since my friend couldn't eat sweets, I thought it would be too much for me. Our waiter said he even eats alone, so I went for it. Made with Tres Leches, caramel-coated coconut, Dulce de leche cream, chocolate and coffee crumbled, and coconut ice cream, this Tres Leches is simply decadent. The presentation is beautiful, and the taste is even better. The texture is light and airy, as this tres leches has a watery texture. Overall, Salvaje offers a beautiful dining experience and ambiance. The service is very attentive, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Salvaje is a place I will surely visit again to continue to try their delectable dishes.

Yelp
The Chilean sea bass was a perfect dish. Literally perfection. The fish cooked perfectly. The sauce. The book choy, the kale on top. It was perfection. The octopus was amazing. The presentation, the flavors... amazing. The rock shrimp tempura did not disappoint. Excellent food and I will absolutely be back! Thank you Salvaje...!!

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful ladies Happy Hour at Salvaje! The drinks were tasty and the sushi was deliciously fresh. My waitress was fantastic and extremely attentive throughout the evening. Kudos for a great vibe and ambiance. Definitely my fav new rooftop lounge in Midtown.

Yelp
Salvaje is easily a must visit on my Miami food list. I've been twice so far and everything about this place is incredible. The theme for the menu was Japanese gastronomy and it was showcased in each dish. The drinks were not only beautiful but they were flavorful. To top it off the ambiance brought everything together. Every hour there was a "show" with live dancers which was too cute. Price Range: $60+ per person (it's easy to spend money here, let's just say that) What we ordered: *Sea of Love *Dynamite *Rainbow roll *Rock Shrimp Tempura *Glazed and Spicy Edamame(must try) *Lobster Dumplings *Grilled and Smoked Shirt Rib *Cacao Salvaje *Coconut Tres Leches

Yelp
Salvaje: A Fusion of Culinary Mastery and Exotic Ambiance** *Salvaje, an entrancing Japanese culinary haven nestled in the heart of Midtown within the Hyde building, proved to be a tantalizing fusion of flavorful delights and an ambiance that transcends the ordinary.* The menu's standout stars, the classic Salmon Crispy Rice and Soft Shell Crab Dynamite, offer an exquisite gastronomic experience. The Salmon Crispy Roll, with its delicate blend of King salmon, spicy mayo, and cilantro, presents a milder yet delectable take on spiced flavors. On the other hand, the Crab Dynamite, wrapped in soy paper and complemented by truffled butter, emerges as the undisputed crowd favorite, tantalizing taste buds with its explosive blend of textures and flavors. The culinary journey is complemented by the surreal rooftop setting that Salvaje commands. An exotic atmosphere, adorned with a melange of neutrals, greenery, and feathers, exudes a primal, almost Polynesian vibe that elevates the dining experience to an artful, sensory voyage. Arriving early to catch the mesmerizing sunset, one can foresee Salvaje transforming into a vibrant supper club as the evening progresses, accompanied by the beats of a DJ. Salvaje's menu showcases a range in pricing, catering to both moderate and extravagant budgets, ensuring there's an offering for every palate and pocket. This inclusive approach is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to providing an experience accessible to all. With its stunning vistas, tantalizing cuisine, and a promise of evolving evening entertainment, Salvaje beckons as the perfect rendezvous for friends and colleagues alike. The anticipation of returning to share this magical dining voyage with companions only amplifies the allure of Salvaje.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs! The brunch is terrible. The food is mass produced. You don't have a lot of options to order a la cart. And while they say it's "all you can eat," they will only serve you one dish at a time, and they won't let you order the next until you've finished the first. But then the waitress goes missing so you aren't able to place an order for the next dish. You basically pay $80 for a terrible avocado toast with burnt toast and super runny eggs. And stuck waiting to try to order something else in hopes it's better. Avoid avoid avoid!

Yelp
Stopped here for a snack after sitting at the pool all day, my friend lives in the building and the restaurant is right next to the pool. We were there on a Sunday and they had live music coming from the area all day. We sat at the bar and had appetizers. I loved the edamame it was very flavorful. I also ordered sushi and it was a good light meal after sitting at the pool all day.

Yelp
Located in the Hyde hotel on the 7th floor! *Happy hour 5-7pm* Came in for some cocktails. We ordered the daiquiri and the porn star. Both drinks were extremely sweet. The restaurant was not busy at 6pm yet the drinks took awhile to come out. Honestly way to much furniture in the space seems like they want as many people stuffed in there as they can. Was not impressed with the dinner menu seemed way overpriced. When we got the check there was a 20% gratuity included. The card reader still prompts you to add a tip even though it's included. Seems like a scam!! Beware!!

Yelp
Food was on point. The service too. And the ambiance was good too. Recommended! The weather was nice and great to be outside.

Yelp
I typically never write reviews, but this experience left me and the rest of my group feeling so uncomfortable that it felt necessary to say something. The food itself was amazing, we also thought the service was amazing at first. We were a group of 7 celebrating a birthday with reservations on a Friday night. The waiter had initially explained to us that the menu was set up tapas style so that everyone at the table shares. Got it, noted. So we ordered a bottle of sake for the table and began ordering small plates for all of us to taste and share. Throughout the evening, we kept ordering food and drinks (so there was a never a moment where we were just sitting there doing nothing). The waiter would make a few comments about how the items we were ordering weren't big enough for our party size, but we didn't think too much of it because we were ordering a good variety of the menu and all just wanted to try different things and were having a good time. Things took a turn when a few of us went to the bathroom and came back to the rest of our party awkwardly explaining to us that our waiter had approached them to let us know that there was a party waiting for our table and that we needed to wrap it up (he even motioned with his hands). As weird as that was, we decided to order a dessert for the birthday girl as our final request and also requested the check alongside this dessert order since it was clear that the waiter wanted us to go. We attempted to order the matcha volcano, and the waiter tells us "that takes 20-25 minutes to bake, what else do you want?". As off putting as that was, we suggested the Cocoa Salvaje instead, when he then proceeds to tell us how the portion for that dessert would not be big enough for our table. At this point, we were fed up and decided against dessert and just demanded the check from him. This was such a bizarre experience as we left feeling very unwelcome and as if we were basically being kicked out. Never was there any communication about any time limits, etc. (which even at other restaurants that do have time limits for something like brunch for example, I still have never been asked to rush and leave). We still cannot comprehend how any of this happened. Although we were a group of 7, we were consistently ordering plates of food and cocktails, our bill was almost $700, so this wasn't exactly a situation of a big party ordering minimal food and wasting time and space. I share this review as more of a cautionary tale. The food was delicious, but the experience let a sour taste in our mouths and took away from the food and beautiful ambience. I probably wouldn't recommend this place to anyone celebrating anything special because this situation completely ruined the vibe.

Yelp
Boyfriend took me here for my birthday and we loved it!!! The decorations are beautiful and the city sunset is gorgeous, but if it rains beware because there isn't much coverage. We went on a Sunday so the service was amazing, not too many ppl and our server was very attentive, gave great recommendations, and was very helpful with food choices. We went for the fried fuck and omg it was amazing!! Definitely recommend. The Sushi was yumm as well. The desert was delicious, especially if you are a chocolate lover you will enjoy it. As for the liquor infused ice cream eeehhh it's ok. Drinks were yum and strong, but definitely pricey one drink can cost you $20. Tip is included with bill. I do wish the "show" with dancers was a bit more lively.

Yelp
Nice rooftop in the heart of midtown Miami. We came in for a drink after dinner and it was delightful. Great atmosphere, nice view and love the design. Drinks were so good, very tasty and well made. Bartenders are so friendly and with good vibes. There was also a entertainment with dancers... really great vibes. We didn't try the restaurant but we will come back for sure. Thanks for the hospitality Salvaje

Yelp
Tastiest food and drinks are to die for! I love the vibe and the amazing service. The drinks are especially delicious.

Yelp
Salvaje is a great place to visit is you're looking for a fun and upbeat environment with good food and cocktails. Their staff is there to make the vibe right with music, dancing, & cheering. The food is good and so are the cocktails although they could be stronger but maybe I'm just an alcoholic

Yelp
Came here for a girls night with about 6 girls. I've been waiting to try this place for quite some time. We were pretty impressed how beautiful the place was and were very excited for a good night out. We ordered a ton of different apps to share and an assortment of drinks. Most of the food was pretty decent but some of our group thought some of the sushi rolls were overly 'fishy'. Around the end of the night we got a round of shots which ignited an eruption of shot music and an anti climatic performance to bring them out. Overall an 'okay' experience. The place is beautiful, but the theme feels a bit forced.

Yelp
A great rooftop vibe! We were a party of 6. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday for happy hour. You can drive around and look for street parking or valet like we did. The host was a lil snippy. There were only 2 other tables seated when we arrived. I'm surprised there weren't more guests for happy hour. They have a happy hour menu which they call "Golden Hour". Their happy hour is limited to weekdays. 6-8 Mon-Thu, and 5-7 on Fridays. The average price for a cocktail is $11. They also offer sushi and small bites for happy hour. For our main course we shared the tomahawk which I highly recommend. The meat was plentiful and sufficient for 5 ppl. The duck fried rice was really good as well. Service was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. Food was prepared and served quickly. Nothing about the music stood out, in my opinion. It could have been better. The decor is boho chic. It was a cool evening and we were offered blankets as their space heaters aren't the best. Overall, it was a great night. I would definitely dine there again.

Yelp
Came for a drink with a friend. It's a super fun ambiance. It is located on the rooftop of the Hyde hotel and residences. Our waiter Henry was great! He had great recommendations and kept checking on us.

Yelp
Great food, ambiance and location. It is very prototypical Miami party/dinner scene. Despite that, the food had great presentation and was tasty. We had no reservation but was able to get a seat at the bar when walking in.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop restaurant and lounge located in a heart of brickle Miami in central area at the top of the Hyde residences. The drinks were amazing. I got the porn star martini which was fabulous. They also offer a show where girls come out and dance and beautiful, elegant feathery boa outfits. They have great music and ambience. The food was also delicious. I had the spicy tuna rice cakes, with the edamame and Shasho peppers. Also, the rolls were fantastic. We went during happy hour where they offer the food and drinks on sale! Check it out it was great

Yelp
@spooning.around.town Restaurant rooftop, right about the Hyde Hotel. Definitely a cute and fun place for dinner! Has a jungly decor aesthetic. A live dj playing upbeat house, Latin & pop. The do engaging performances which is very fun! The food was great. I had the salmon roll, that was yummy. The lamb was very tender! Sooo good and soft with a slightly crisp finish. I had the sea of love which came is a cool cup and was a drink that was filled to the top. Worth the $20 bucks . My boyfriend had the Vicking. He thought they put too much lime but maybe that's the bartender in him talking. It had a lot of ice so not that much drink. Maybe not worth the $20 bucks, the presentation is the reason why it's that much. The salmon and lamb both come a grill that is still heated by small coals. I thought that was so nice. I will say the vibe and presentation of this place is exciting and EVERYTHING! It's a nice place to impress someone for sure.

Yelp
The ambiance here is creative and fun - we opted for The Salvaje Experience which includes a dancing performance from the waitresses and hired dancers with lights. We ordered the crispy rice, dumplings and two sushi rolls. The crispy rice was hard and the rolls had room temp fish on them which I found off putting. The mushroom dumplings were the best thing we have but very heavy. We had several cocktails here that were good but pricey. We got espresso martinis, dirty martinis and the sea of love. I most recommend this spot for drinks. The service was a little slow but they were kind enough to remove our crispy rice. Performance was kinda weird/unnecessary. Overall - pretty mid.

Yelp
Second time going. And it does not disappoint. Good ambience, good music, the services is on point. And even the food taste good. I had the wagyu Fried rice and it definitely has a good portion to fill you up while having some drinks. I would definitely come again with a group for any festivities. The only thing I recommend is adding more fans around the place! It's been hot lately.

Yelp
Why the negative reviews?? This place was amazing!! Food, service, atmosphere, everything. The setting is absolutely gorgeous & so much fun. My boyfriend and I came at 9pm on a Sunday and it was still super lively. I mean it when I say every single thing we had was outstanding! If I had to pick favorites though, it'd be the fujiroll and the truffled mushroom dumplings. The butter crab roll was great too... and the salmon crispy rice... and the wagyu beef fried rice... you seriously can't go wrong with anything. The drinks come in unique themed cups; we tried the ayuwari which came in a skull mug. Super fun. There is a 20% service charge but it makes sense in my opinion. You would most likely tip 20% anyways (I'd hope). Our waitress went above & beyond so if you tip anything extra, it goes directly to them (they all split the service charge). If you're considering coming here, do it. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Came to salvaje for a birthday dinner on a windy Saturday night. It's located on the 7th floor of the Hyde hotel. The hotel itself is VERY NICE. The entire restaurant is outdoor so check the weather before you reserve a table. If it's a little chilly they have space heaters everywhere which was awesome. They also offer live entertainment which keeps the place lively. The drinks are REALLY cute and delicious. For my meal I had the fried rice and spicy edamame as an app. Cool place for a night out
