Salvaterra Country House & Spa

This comfortable little boutique Hotel was recommended by my retreat company as an ideal place to decompress following a plant medicine retreat. I was immediately shown around the property and provided a room in which to relax until my room was ready as I had arrived several hours ahead of check in time. My room was spacious and elegantly appointed making for a very comfortable stay. All communication is done via text message during your stay and all of my concerns were promptly addressed, including laundry, additional teas and water for my room, questions about local taxi, service activities, and food amenities. I did take advantage of two tours that were recommended by the hotel and was not disappointed. I highly recommend the Tagus river cruise as well as horseback riding. I stayed for four nights and it was the perfect amount of time to relax and take part in the above noted activities. I felt safe and comfortable traveling on my own and would highly recommend this hotel to solo and couples alike. Of particular note, it should be made that there is not a full service restaurant on site however a café that offers light meals, which was enough for me. I greatly appreciate the attention to the amazing food that was provided from this café.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Salvaterra Country & Spa. The great atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay memorable. We loved the comfortable bed, the big bathroom with strong shower pressure, and the thoughtful details like candles, chocolates, salt bath, and the great amenities. The breakfast was also delicious with a lot of fresh fruits, amazing granola, yogurt, fresh croissants and other breads. Special thanks to Rosa for her hospitality and patience. Will be back for sure. Thank you for making our stay special and relaxing.

This is a truly Bali like experience just 50 min away from Lisbon. The place is stunningly decorated and you can immerse into nature and Bali style bungalows. Definitely a great place for couples to get away for a weekend and enjoy some relaxing time. The only difficult part is the food catering, there are not many restaurants in the area that can deliver food so is better to bring your own ingredients and cook at the venue.

What a gem of a place!!! The accommodations were even more impressive than the photos. Rosa was a gem navigating our late arrival due to lost luggage at the airport and again days later with a late night luggage delivery. Top notch massage in such a nice setting. One of the best massages I've had! Seriously cannot thank the staff enough for the lovely stay!

This is truly an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. It’s secluded in what felt like a tinte town. If staying here, keep that in mind. You definitely won’t wanna leave the property. It was so relaxing and beautiful, it felt like we were back in the Maldives. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It's simply an amazing place to visit and to relax, the villa is absolutely beautiful, has got a private pool just for us. All the garden around makes you feel like you're somewhere else, a tropical and Asian paradise. Plus the staff is always ready to help and easy to keep in contact if you need to. Really recommend and definitely we are going back there.

Disclaimer: There is little, to no transport in thie area. I highly recommend you organise a car for your stay. This was the only downside to our stay, that we hadn't realised how crucial a car was. It meant we got a bit stranded on our dinner to Benavente and we were in quite a panic trying to get back. Besides this the rooms are gorgeous! The site itself was such an oasis, greenery everywhere, stunning waterways, and their Hot Tub was a nice highlight for us.The service was great- helping us out after hours. The morning breakfast was a lovely mixture of fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, orange juice and more.
