The 23 Best Restaurants in Amsterdam, the Netherlands | Eater

"This made-for-Instagram, Italianish bakery has a line out the door, but the wait is worth it for the pistachio custard-filled croissants. A rotating array of treats, like Biscoff custard brioche and creme brulee bomboloni, maintain a delightful balance between fun and delicious. The bakery can get crowded inside, but it’s just around the corner from one of the city’s cheapest boat rental places; taking some pastries on a cruise along the canals is an impeccable way to spend a sunny afternoon. Know before you go: Check the Instagram for the day’s “release” schedule." - Katharine Khamhaengwong

A must-visit for sweets and pistachio lovers Loved everything I tried at Salve — it’s an amazing spot for coffee and desserts. The pistachio cookie was to die for, rich in flavor and perfectly baked, and the pistachio-raspberry pastry was just as incredible, with a great balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The coffee was excellent too, making it the perfect pairing for the sweets. There was a super long line when we arrived, but it moved quickly, so the wait wasn’t too bad. Inside, it’s very crowded, so we had to wait a bit for a table, but it was worth it, but just so you know it is not that comfy. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a delicious sweet break in Amsterdam.

4.5/5 Every time I come to this place, it’s always busy with customers. After trying it, it’s actually pretty good. The pistachio croissant has a lot of filling and is very rich, but unfortunately not very crispy. The pistachio cookie is too sweet, so I probably won’t buy it a second time. The pistachio latte has a lot of paste and tastes great. Next time, I want to try their tiramisu and sesame Danish pastry.

Went to get a coffee and was blown away by the yummy options! We ended up getting a cortado, matcha coconut cloud latte and pistachio cinnamon roll - everything was delicious but the roll was out of this world! I expected a average roll and got this moist, perfectly balanced cinnamon roller bun with creamy pistachio 🤩 There wasn’t seating and we were planning on walking anyway but the place has such a cute and cozy vibe that I would have considered taking a seat of there were any available. Absolutely would recommend and go again myself! 🍵

So crowded inside and there was a long queue outside, which is the opposite with any shop on this street. They have several tables and seats and people moved around so it’s easy to find a spot. They have so many options for bread, sandwich and pastries. I had a pistachio one and a latte. The art is good, all the staff are warm and friendly! It’s a good place for people to meet with friends:)

Great service, very nice and helpful! We shared the pistachio croissant. Unfortunately, we didn’t like it that much. It was very very sweet, even the croissant itself seemed to be glazed over with sugar and the pistachio filling was okay but not tasty. All in all 3/10. Also they only offer oat, coconut milk or coconut water, no almond milk :(

The food is delicious, but the space inside of the place is horrible 😭 there are no normal tables and seats to enjoy their food and drinks. While you are eating, small pieces of pastry 🥐 falls on you because you have to hold your food over your body. The prices are high, but it is normal, it is almost central place in Amsterdam. So, guys, please make it more comfortable to sit because it will give people more joy. I visited this place on my birthday in winter and it was impossible to take pastry out because it was cold outside. Also I hope you fixed the door because it was not closing automatically after every customer who went in.

We ordered to go, but decided to eat immediately. They were so good, forgot to take picture beforehand. Spinach and cheese pie was like a delicious borek. Loved it. And pistachio bun was really good too. It had a pistachio pastry cream on top which was the real deal. I would love go again and try whatever they have.

Google
Amsterdam's top spot for Italian pastries. The lively atmosphere features hissing espresso machines. But plan for takeaway or very early arrival. What works: - Excellent variety: perfect pistachio croissants, berry-filled maritozzi, and custard brioche - Great sandwiches like focaccia with burrata and prosciutto - Good coffee and decent tiramisu What doesn't: - Nearly impossible to find seating

Yelp
Super special and delicious bakery goods. Seating is a bit sparse but with a wait you can find some.
