Salzano

This is a cute place with a nice view and the staff is nice but in my time here we found live and remains of bed bugs on the bed. We asked to be switched rooms and ended up going to three different rooms, including a suite, and each had bed bugs. The breakfast was delightful but the Michelin guide restaurant was not good at all. The prices were high for food that we couldn’t even finish because it didn’t taste good. I was hesitant to leave this review because I don’t like to leave bad reviews but it’s something I wish I knew before booking my stay.

This place has stolen my heart, it was go good and the place has amazing views from Balcony. It felt like a magical spot. The rooms were good, service was excellent. All the staff were very pleasant and helped us with directions. The spa was amazing and after a long day of walking it’s so relaxing to use the sauna and the heated pool.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the restaurant page, so I'm reviewing it on the hotel page. We didn't stay overnight. The dining room is a little too heavily decorated for my taste – you'd expect to find knödel and sausages in there - but that's up to anyone, my partners were exited about it. The food was a rollercoaster of emotions; some ideas were stunning, others didn't quite hit the mark. But for the most part, we were in taste heaven. The essence with the Swiss stone pine wood was amazing. The beetroot crumble, the cauliflower tart, apple, etc. – one discovery after another. A wonderful tour through the regional nature. However, the bacon and the "schmalz" rolls at the end were a touch too heavy in the sequence. That weighed heavily on us. All in all, though, a great place to discover and enjoy new things.

Was there for 4 nights in September. Absolutely gorgeous stay. Restaurant venison medallions are the best meat that I had ever. Had an amazing stay! The spa experience was the real highlight — especially the pool, which is absolutely extraordinary. The atmosphere is relaxing, the facilities are spotless, and it’s the perfect place to unwind. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel that truly delivers on both comfort and wellness.

I loved the location but it is a ten minute bus outside the main part of interlaken. I loved it because you’re more in the country and nature but keep it in mind depending on your vibe! The service is AMAZING. Every single person makes you feel welcome, cared for, and heard. Highly recommend staying here. I will be back!

Spent 7 days at Salzano over Labor Day 2025. Excellent location and plenty of room to park the car. Room facing the road can be a bit noisy at times. We had a sewer smell in our room when we first moved in, that took a few days for housekeeping to resolve. Staff very helpful and kind. Breakfasts were predictable, otherwise most excellent. Restaurant meals were above average. Would stay there again, when it was not so busy, and not so expensive :)

We’ve ventured across Italy, through Germany, and all over Switzerland, and by far, our service and food was the best at Salzano. Forgive me if I misspell but I believe our waiter’s name was Thorin and he was exceptional. So friendly and warm, welcomed us and presented our dishes with detail. Can not recommend him or this restaurant enough! Everything we ate was delicious and well worth the cost. Best venison we’ve ever had and the best stew I’ve ever had! Even the butter was splendid. Thanks for having us!

We recently spent 4 nights at Salzano and it was the best 4 nights of our trip. The staff, the room, the atmosphere were all perfect. If you are on the fence as to whether to stay here or not, do not hesitate. We had a car, so the issue of getting into town was not a problem for us. The ladies at the front desk were helpful and gave great advice. We even asked for a packed lunch one day and they had it all ready for us as we left for our adventure of the day. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the stars in the evening. The view was relaxing. We left the doors to the balcony open a bit at night. I can't say enough. It was perfect! Thank you to all at the Salzano Hotel!

A great value for the Interlaken area. Comfortable room and the dinner in the restaurant is delicious! We also received spa services that were well priced and enjoyable. Tip to other travelers: you can use the beautiful spa space for free as a hotel guest. It's a nice spot to relax, catch up on reading and enjoy the lovely views of the mountains. The staff even remembered my husband's birthday. A sweet treat awaited him at breakfast. It was an unexpected extra special touch. Breakfast is well appointed and delicious as well. Plenty of parking if you have a car. If no car, the bus stop is close by and routes are easy to navigate. We would stay again at the hotel and most certainly would eat at the restaurant again.
