Salzhaus Restaurant Bar

Probably my favorite meal on this trip was the Irish filet tartare with a small salad and freshly toasted bread that I had in this gorgeous and elegant and awarded restaurant for lunch. The meat was obviously hand-cut and fresh and perfectly seasoned and unbelievably delicious with little drops of spicy sauce on the side which I totally loved, and scooped unto the scrumptious bread it was served with made for a meal not easily forgotten. 🫰👏🫰

Fine-dining experience in a prime location in Solothurn. Salzhaus is located in a historic building on the river Aare. Great selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes, and a well stocked vine cellar. Daily changing menu. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Fast and accommodating service.

Delicious Lunch at good price ! Quality products and superb nicely prepared dishes ! Nice open wine selection. Ambience is modern and cozy. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth visiting.

Delicious Asian fusion restaurant on the banks of the River Aare. The outdoor cafe area was delightful mid august and the menu and view wonderful. A feast for the eyes and palate. Photos unfiltered.

Posh upper-class restaurant located in the heart of the city, right next to the Aare river. Offers a diverse menu and boasts attentive staff and a charming interior. If you’re uncertain what to order, go for the hand-cut tartare – yummi! 🧑‍🍳🥙☕️

Nice atmosphere, great food with some original combination. The Luma lamb rack was delicious! The wine card is originally presented, with swiss wines per state first. The service was good.

Restaurant looks very nice and presentation of the food is nice but quality of the food is very low. If you appreciate good food, this is not the place for you. No knowledge of wines, food very salty, low quality ingredients and combinations of flavors that don’t work well together. If you like presentation and ambiance this will work.

I thoroughly enjoyed my mail here. My boss and I eat lunch here while visiting the village. Fortunately for me, they have menus and English. I ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu. The presentation of the meal was completely different from any other time I had Chicken Cordon Bleu and the flavor of the chicken was outstanding. We ordered the local beer which was the light and refreshing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
