The Best Korean Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Montreal has several all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ joints, and Shaughnessy Village’s Sam Cha is one of the best. At $25 per person, it’s a great value, too; the all-you-can-eat option includes soup, salad and rice, four types of meat, two sides, veggies and dessert. Sam Cha is especially great for those eager to engage in some tabletop barbecuing, but the menu is chock-full of other Korean fare." - Holly Tousignant

The Best Restaurants in Montreal’s Shaughnessy Village | Eater Montreal

"It’s all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue at Sam Cha — as long as the whole table orders it — but if grilled meats don’t quite cut it, there’s nyang myun iced noodles for summer slurping, soondubu stews for winter warming, or Kimchi fried rice, just because it’s so good." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

Had takeout from this Korean restaurant, very satisfied. Friendly staff that always put up a smile. I have went here before to have their beef tartare and bibimbap. Stunning as always. Make sure to reserve or come earlier during weekends as the place can be packed. I wish you could brought back the ayce bbq, it was one of the best ayce in montreal. Sadly cancelled after covid.

Absolutely loved it! We waited about 45 minutes as it was Saturday night dinner time. Once seated we were quickly greated and served our drinks. We ordered; sweet chickie, bulgogi, spare ribs, homemade kimchi, curry udon, tteakbokki rosé and seafood pancake. All super delicious and perfectly portioned for 4 people. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back to taste more from the menu! Only negative is you come out of restaurant very very very stinky 😝

Google
Certainly! Here's a 3-star review for a Korean restaurant: --- **Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)** We recently visited twice Sam Chaand had an overall just ok experience. First time we came on Friday around 7:15 pm and was seated at 8:30 pm. We did not have a reservation. So, number One: make sure you book it. Second: the waiter forgot to bring a dish to us, but they charged us. So: always make sure you paid for what you got. Next visit we planned and made a reservation at 5 pm (they open at 5 pm). So, it was empty. The waiters were obviously bored as well as the kitchen stuff. The atmosphere was awful: too loud that we were not able to hear each other. So, be prepared to eat with no communication. The staff were overwhelmed (on Friday). The menu had a good variety of traditional Korean dishes, and the portions were ok is size. However, while the flavors were not bad, I felt the food lacked that authentic depth I was hoping for: the bulgogi were chewy, the sea food pancake was overcooked around and undercooked. Prices were reasonable, but not quite a standout for the quality of food. Overall, it was an okay experience – not bad, but not amazing either. If I’d consider coming back that would sweet and spicy chicken and, maybe, bulgogi.

Google
A bit of a disappointment since there was no free side dish. We ordered some tteok bok ki fried skewers and it was good, with some sauce to dip in. We ordered some fried dumplings and they were bland, a bit too fried, too oily. The rating went downhill because of the porc bone soup, the soup was very very salty and when you remove the 3 big bones, there is barely any soup left... Anyways, not recommended. The beef bibimbap was ok, could of been better in taste. The service was ok, it wasn't busy at lunch time, and had to ask the waitress twice for napkins. The place didn't look too tidy, mediocre, the seats were a bit too close between clients.

Google
Perhaps my expectations were too high, but the meal didn’t quite live up to what I had hoped for. We started with the Beef Tartare as an appetizer. The beef itself was quite sweet, but the flavors felt unbalanced. To make matters worse, it was served cold, almost frozen, with ice crystals in it😂😂 The Tofu Soup, however, was a highlight. It had a great flavor and was definitely the best dish of the meal. We also tried the Spicy Jokbal, but it was far too sweet! Despite being labeled as spicy, I could barely taste any heat. The waiter was attentive tho, so one star for him. But overall, I left feeling disappointed

Google
One of the best Korean restaurants in Montréal! Highly recommend the pas jeon and the kimchi fried rice 👌 also very much worth trying the Makgeoli

Google
Authentic Korean food. The food is quite tasty and authentic but it is more on the bar food and tappas. The taste profile is on the sweeter side. I highly recommend the beef tartar! The waiters were friendly and helpful but the service was a bit slow as they barely came to see us and we had to request them for water. Atmosphere is more lounge like and louder.

Google
Delicioua and affordable korean restaurants. Even after so many years, they continue to provide one of the best and most flavorful soon dubu jigae in town. The only downside is that you smell like food after since the kitchen is right next to the dining space and there’s korean BBQ on tables without a proper vent on top.

Yelp
It's small and all tables are mostly reserved, so we were told we would have to share a table with others. We aren't keen on sitting at a table with total strangers at all. May be getting carry out instead? We were able to get seated at a two top picnic table before 7pm, only about a 5-10 minute wait. Ordered two sides of kimchi, Kim gui, tteokbokki, regular spicy chickie, Buldak chicken. C$74.23 The kimchi side comes with a side of shredded radish, which is quite sweet. Was hoping it would be the cubed radish kimchi instead. The shredded radish clumps together, it's ok. The kimchi is also so-so. The seaweed is good. The tteokbokki is a small portion, the gochujang sauce tastes smokey, it's pretty good. Comes with mushrooms. The spicy chickie is good, the breading is light and crispy. The chickie is nicely fried, not too dry. I should have read more carefully, the Buldak is smothered in cheese, had to removed it all off the top of the meat. The meat is oddly cut, it's nicely cooked and tender. It's a big portion of meat. There is no complimentary rice with the BBQ Buldak chicken, that's a first. No banchans here as complimentary here either, not very Korean of this place at all. :/

Yelp
My expectations when going to a Korean restaurant may be high, compared to what you may get elsewhere in Montreal, but Sam Cha fell short on several points. Note - My introduction to bulgogi years ago was Woo Lae Oak in the U.S. and since I've stayed a regular diner in NYC's K-town. My friend with me had never had bulgogi before, so we went excited for her first try. Here's our experience: First, called in advance, but they did not take more reservations - something they limit, although they leave do take walk-ins, but you need sign up in-person for the waitlist. A permanent extension that spills into the sidewalk adds seating, but still it's a not a huge space. As the host warned when we arrived, it took about 30-40 minutes to be seated. Without a bar to sit at while waiting, it automatically forces you to go somewhere else, as we did to have a beer while waiting. Given it was packed, I expect this is normal. Second, a big WARNING! Sam Cha has no bulgogi main course and there is no grilling at the table, compared to what I read about online! They only have an appetizer, which we ordered. Alternatively, you can have it in a bibimbap dish, but that really isn't the same thing. The waiter explained the end to the on-table grilling was due to some new Montreal regulation. (Question: Is there anywhere still in Montreal you can grill bulgogi at the table and provide the lettuce wrap?) Sam Cha's bulgogi appetizer came liquidy on a plate and lacked the lettuce, etc., to wrap the meat in like everywhere else I've had it! While my friend enjoyed it as her first exposure to bulgogi, to me this was a major let down! Third, I'm used to kimchi and other nibbles to be automatically complementary part of the meal, but such an appetizer had to be ordered extra. They served a standard kimchi with a more mild slaw. (See pic.) Fourth as a main course, we ordered two soups, myself a seafood soup and my friend a chicken "katsu" (cutlet) ramen soup. Both soups were steaming upon arrival. My soup was filled with assorted seafood, but it was nothing to write home about and even "less spicy" was strong. Although Sam Cha's prices were fair, I haven't visited other Montreal Korean restaurants to compare it to. If you have the opportunity to eat great Korean elsewhere, my recommendation is to explore Montreal's other restaurants first - there are many fantastic eats out there!

Yelp
We visited Sam Cha on the recommendation of a friend and it was great. There was a line going into the restaurant, and we had to get onto a waitlist to get a table; I would definitely make a reservation in advance, as we waited about 40 minutes before we were sat. It was well worth the wait, and there are a number of shops to check out in the area while you wait for the text to let you know that the table is ready. he restaurant atmosphere was very busy, with lots of chatter from other diners, but the service was good overall despite the number of customers. We ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice, the Rosé Cream Udon, and the Tofu Salad; all were tasty, especially the udon. I would return just to order that again and to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I've been here couple times and every time the food has been good. Service was nice We had a party of 10ppl so they have the back of restaurant to host larger group. We made a reservation at the opening time and was seated right away. Love the beef tartare- so good Everything was good also.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good and the service was good. There is limited Korean food choices in Montreal. so being from northern VA, it's hard to compare.

Yelp
What you see in the menu photo it's what you get! Best Korean restaurant in town I went! Little tip: make a reservation before you got. ALWAYS

Shaun Z.

Yelp
We ordered bibimbap, kimchi soup with tofu and pork and fried rice cake. All three dishes were good and overall they toned down a bit the spiciness to cater locals. We also tried the sojo with the original flavour. It was a bit bland. Should have ordered other flavours. The service was a bit slow on a raining Sunday evening but there were quite many people still. It seemed like the restaurant lacked stuff but the front desk told us it was like this all the time. We arrived at around 6:30 and did not have a reservation and waited for half an hour to be seated. So if you want to have a try, better take a reservation. The ambiance was okay but I feel the music was a bit too loud to have a good conversation.
google avatar

Keun L.

Yelp
I ate plenty of Korean soft tofu soup and this is really bad. I added full 2 cups of water and still salty. Don't they taste the food before they send it out? Also, the bibimbap beef tartare was so chewy ...
google avatar

Yelp
Very delicious Korean restaurant. We came here with our friends. Two persons shared BBQ and two persons shared Budae Chigae Very tasty. With a pitcher of cocktail. A very nice event

Yelp
I was a little annoyed at the beginning because they were making us all wait in a physical line instead of taking names or giving out numbers, and it was 90 degrees and there was zero ventilation in the doorway. Also they told us the wait would be 5-10 minutes, and then after a while they told the people ahead of us that it was going to be 5-10 minutes for them, so we waited a lot longer. When we were seated we realized that they actually had a lot of empty tables in the back, but they just didn't have enough manpower in the waitstaff and/or kitchen to keep up with a full house, hence making us wait to be seated. We ordered takoyaki ($4), two cold noodles ($13 each), and a kimchi pancake ($13). The kitchen was super considerate and mindful about my garlic/onion intolerance, and the chef came to our table twice to double check with us and make adjustments. Everything was amazing. The prices were really reasonable and the portions were on the larger side. The takoyaki was hot, chewy, and tasty. The noodles had great chew and the beef was tasty too. The kimchi pancake was topped with slices of pork belly and was overall such a good combination of tastes and textures. We spent about $50 for two people. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food here was great! We got the melona (honeydew flavor) soju pitcher and it was really delicious. I got the pork dupbap and really enjoyed the meal. The Takoyaki was alright wouldn't recommend but the duk skewers tasted good. Would recommend this place for a casual night with drinks and good Korean food.

Yelp
Delicious food and fun vibe! Service is great and the waiter knows what to recommend based on what would be best for you!

Yelp
Great hole in the wall with tables in the front and in the back. Service was attentive and answered questions about the food knowledgeably. The Kimchi, Beef tartare and Kimchi fries were ridiculously good. My kids loved the fried shrimp and tofu Ramyun. Honorable mentions to the kimchi fried rice. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

Jeffrey K.

Yelp
amazing amazing amazing Best korean i've had in MTL. the kimchi fries are so surprisingly good. Go for the actual menu items instead of KBBQ

Meggie C.

Yelp
So yummy, although my experience was walk in (long queue) the food was quite worth it

Yelp
Montreal has a surprisingly high amount of great Korean restaurants and Sam Cha is definitely one of them! Located at the edge of downtown Montreal, it is rather conveniently placed near Atwater metro station. One of the downside of this place is that there is often a line-up at peak hours (eg. on weekends at dinner time). But don't worry, the wait is worth it for the quality of the food. Their menu is standard for a Korean restaurant, which includes their various stews and also a selection for Korean BBQ. However, one of my favorite dishes there is something that is not found on the menu: KIMCHI FRIES. Oh man, that thing is straight FIRE. Makes poutine look like a sloppy cousin. I won't go on too much about it; you have to taste it yourself.
google avatar

Rita Z.

Yelp
You might wait a little bit before you sit on a table but it is worth it! We did not order a lot because we were invited somewhere else. But i saw the food on every table and they were delicious! I will come back this is for sure ! The staff were friendly and respectful !
google avatar

Ricky Boby L.

Yelp
Amazing sea food crepes, huge amount of shrimps and calmaries on every bite. Bibimbap with the beef stew was very yummy too. Great portions.flavor and price.absolutely recommend this place.

Yelp
After seeing the new avengers movie at atwater cineplex, my SO and I came here for dinner around 5pm. There was one table before us. After we finish our dinner there was already a long line. We had a beef tatare, a kimchi pancake , a spicy soup with tofu, pork and kimchi. The portion was huge, I thought the pancake was an appetizer, but it was a main dish size. I shared the stone bowl rice with my husband. The soup was tasty too. Only one draw point my husband complained about was too much oil in the pancake and too much fatty meat in the soup. They put generous amount of pork in pancake and the soup, but I think it's too much.

Giti A.

Yelp
The service was impeccable all the people working over there were super gentle and nice The food was A1 Then ambiance was dynamic people were enjoying and not scared to speak too loud
google avatar

Mandy P.

Yelp
Amazing vibes, amazing service, amazing food (the kimchi fries were our highlight). Such a great waitlist system that allowed me to wait for my table in the comfort of my own home. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
This was our second time at Sam Cha and the experience at this restaurant just gets better and better. Nothing hits the spot better than a hot bowl of soup on a cold, rainy day in Montreal to warm the soul - that and immersing yourself in soft, Korean Pop/R&B vibe. The servers were friendly and casual - the whole atmosphere gave off a homey feeling. We ordered the usual seafood sundubu - a seafood soup (definitely one of the best in town!) and the Vegetable Okonomiyaki as an appetizer - a sort of pancake - which I definitely, definitely recommend to try (absolutely delicious). The portions were extremely generous, hearty and quite reasonably priced! The place usually gets busy towards 6-7pm and there's usually a line up, but DEFINITELY worth the wait! We would recommend this place for eating with a couple of friends (as they are usually very busy, I feel like they would have a hard time accommodating a large group) and for a fun date night!
google avatar

Shuang W.

Yelp
To be honest it wasn't our first choice, we didn't want to wait for hours at another restaurant so we came here instead--- TOTALLY WORTH IT. It is a tiny store but super cozy, it smells like BBQ in the air because they also do AYCE bbq there. We got a good seat and we decided to get chicken Katsu dolsot bimbibap which is fried chicken cutlet in stone pot stir rice! We also got takoyaki which is Japanese octopus flour ball and I got yuju tea which is a sweet citrus tea. The portion of the bimbibap is amazin! It is giant and I could not finish half of it! One sad thing about it is that the stone pot wasn't boiling hot, and the sauce they gave us was ice cold so the rice is just cold.... it is not that authentic tbh. But everything else is great! Definitely will come back !
google avatar

Bader H.

Yelp
Walking past this neighbourhood, I was always curious about this restaurant as the interior seemed welcoming. I decided to come here with my friend, since we both like Korean food. We ordered the Ramyun and Okonomiyaki dishes, which were really good and delicious. The okonomiyaki had bulgogi on top which was to die for. The ramyun was well seasoned and had a kick to it. My only negative feedback was that the food took a while to get to us. Make sure to come early as this place fills up really quickly.

Ayra S.

Yelp
If you like good food then you'll come to this restaurant. Best Korean food I've ever eaten. Deserves more than 5 stars. The picture shows it all. I even forgot to take a picture because of how appetizing the food looked I just mixed the bibimbap all up. Eat here if you like good food. They're great :)
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Came back to Sam Cha to satisfy some Korean food cravings and to give this place another go. Our menu selection was so much better this time around. Went with the beef tartare (our favourite from last time) and the entré-size bulgogi which was pretty good. I definitely recommend the tofu kimchi entrée (but actually what an enormous portion!) and the gamjatang, both tasted amaaazinnggg!!!! I honestly can't wait to taste the other soups here! Loving this place so far, I would rate it 4 1/2 stars if I could!
google avatar

Ivan K.

Yelp
I think this is one of my favorite Korean/Japanese restaurants in Montreal. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The okonomiyaki and the takoyaki are absolutely delicious and you can't go wrong with the all you can eat BBQ. However, I wasn't a big fan of the bulgogi and beef tartare appetizers here. This is still one of my favorite places to eat and the prices here are very reasonable. If you're coming here, be sure to make a reservation first. This place is always packed and often has a lineup out the door. Also, be prepared to smell like Korean food for a few days. The ventilation here isn't the best and my clothes have smelled everytime I've come here.
google avatar

Tina K.

Yelp
Sooo bomb. We've only gotten the pork bone soup for 2 ppl, so we definitely need to try everything else next time! The veggie bibimbap they provide is soooo worth. Just wish they had bancha! They don't do any free side dishes like most Korean restaurants do! The quality of the food makes up for that though It gets soo busy and loud, which is great if you like that kind of vibe. If you come at a busy time or the weekend. don't expect a seat within 10 mins. However, they do an amazing job trying to accommodate everyone by seating separate parties in one table Best part is their music. One of the Korean boys plays amazing music from his sound cloud profile
google avatar

Miles Z.

Yelp
I was in Montreal for vacation and I was looking for a Korean spot to eat in the area. Everything was packed with lines going out the door at some nearby establishments. It wasn't until I looked on Yelp and found this establishment. Sam Cha was packed inside but we were luckily immediately seated for a table of two. Now let me preface this with the fact that I've been to several Korean places in the states (NY & NJ) but this was probably the best I've been to. We ordered a original Budhi Jigae hotpot that came with a bowl of vegetarian Bibimbap. Typically, the places that I've been to the hotpot comes out cooked already. For this place, the ingredients are still uncooked and you let it cook in front of you which is always fun. They sell alcohol as well which compliments the warm & spicy dinner. Would definitely come back if I'm ever back in Montreal and would definitely recommend checking this place out if your there for the weekend!

Tommy S.

Yelp
This Korean restaurant has been a hit or miss experience personally. At times, I received excellent service with succulent food. At others, service was practically inexistant with stale dishes. Strangely enough, this stark inconsistency manifested itself during a single visit last time I had dinner there. We were greeted by a young woman with a sunny disposition and were seated in the solarium. I ordered some tea and two dishes of Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). Up to this point, the service was courteous, attentive, and brisk. My first dish of Yukhoe came and was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and just melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, my second dish of Yukhoe came and bore no resemblance to my first dish. (See photo attached). The meat was darker and the sesame seeds were missing. As soon as I took the first bite, I realized that the taste was different too: acrid and pungent. To make matters worse, our waitress disappeared and no one was available to refill our water for the remainder of our meal. This visit just epitomizes how service and food can be inconsistent within the same establishment. Although the prices are very reasonable, your experience here might very well be the luck of the draw, in the lap of the Gods...

Jasmin N.

Yelp
cozy little place. Food is great and service is quick. Only thing is that you leave smelling like oil/grease/food because the kitchen is open to the seating area
google avatar

Xue L.

Yelp
One of my fave korean places for their spicy tofu stew. The broth is amazing and thick and filled with ingredients inside. It also comes with a bibimbap so it's definitely worth the money. The place is quite cute and cozy with some nice korean music and the staff is friendly. However, if you do go there, i hope you dont have an important meeting afterwards because your clothes, your hair and everything will smell like the restaurant during the whole day.

Fhey P.

Yelp
Nothing really special, i just don't like the presentation of their unlimited meat wherein everything is mixed in one plate. Cookware are improvised and kinda unsafe. Taste is average. Maybe some of their ala carte are better. Ambiance is cozy, expected it to be noisy but not bad.
google avatar

Tamim S.

Yelp
Great food. One the rare asian places in Montreal with authentic. Price is good for food and high for drinks. They accept credit cards but not AMEX. Overall a great experience, will go back again.
google avatar

Luis G.

Yelp
Second time coming to Sam Cha and second time looking forward to coming back again. We ordered many different dishes and we all agreed the food is amazing. The staff is also very nice and the food arrives fast.
google avatar

Eric N.

Yelp
Went there with my mom and niece for my mom birthday dinner and the overall experience was great! We've ordered a seafood pancakes, spicy seafood tofu soup and BBQ beef ribs. The seafood pancake was a bit of a turn-off, doesn't taste as good as I expected, it wasn't crispy enough. The seafood tofu soup was amazing! Very spicy, I mean very very spicy but very tasty. The BBQ beef ribs was also good but I find it weird, they place the grill in your table but they cook it for you... I mean what's the point of having the grill on the table if we are not doing it ourself?? Both main dishes cones with a bimbimap (rice inside of a hot stone bowl) I'm usually not a fan of bimbimap but the ones they have are very good. The service was very nice, most korean restaurant are very polite and take good cares of you. Will go back for sure to try other stuff
google avatar

Kathy P.

Yelp
Went there on a very hot day. Must say that it wasnt the best idea, as the air conditioning was not strong enough! But beside that, the experience was amazing. One downside is no banchan like other korean restaurants. I had the tofu seafood soup, the broth was tasty, rich and spicy, just how I like it!
google avatar

Khalil P.

Yelp
I would consider Sam Cha to be kind of a hidden gem. It is located on Ste Catherine right near Atwater metro but it's not all that visible. Once inside, you're greeted by a nice host and there's a decent amount of seats. I've been here a handful of times and my personal go to order is chicken ramen. It is served boiling hot in a pot. The flavour of the soup, mixed with the good noodles and chicken, brings it all together. The service here is excellent every time and the music with the lighting gives this place a chill vibe.
google avatar

Wei L.

Yelp
This is probably my favourite Korean resto in Montréal. The food taste great and price is fair. You can go there for a official date or casual meet-up. The combo for 2 includes appetizer, main course, soup, rice, which definitely worth a try. The waiters are considerate and very helpful, making you feel like home.
google avatar

Lily Y.

Yelp
Food: So-so. They offer a bunch of typically Korean items, along with some pot options to be shared between two. However, no banchan! T.T (how is this possible in a Korean restaurant?) Bibimbap is well assembled but the items inside are very ordinary. The tofu stew had 4-5 small tofu pieces inside and a few pieces of sad vegetables floating in a sea of red soup that only taste spicy with no taste. Also ordered chicken bibimbap here once, after I removed the deep-fried dough layer, the amount of chicken meat was less than 1/2 size of the total amount... =.= Service: Fast, friendly Price: Not worth it~ Ambiance: Homey style decor with wooden benches and tables. But I must say it's really dark inside, maybe to create an intimate feel but... really creepy...
google avatar

François Y.

Yelp
I went there twice with large group of friends in the VIP room. Big tables, couches, water you can fill yourself, KTV and big TV screen. You pretty much go in the front and order when you want, pay, then they deliver the food when it's ready. Pricey for food and alcohol. I tried the Chicken Katsu ramen. Dayum it was good. Always my Sapporo to accompany me during the night. I had a great time singing and chatting. The VIP room really makes a difference. Staff is kind and always available at the front desk. Strongly recommend for big group gathering.
google avatar

Aileen L.

Yelp
ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant has a cozy vibe to it. Their decor is very simple but homey. Although the front is a bit on the smaller side, they do have a backroom for larger parties. FOOD: Best Korean BBQ I've ever had. Their meat is so flavorful and marinated to a perfection. Their side dishes are also quite good. They are pretty generous with their portions with is definite plus. Everything is nicely presented and the quality is great. I would absolutely recommend this place! PRICE: Their menu prices are slightly more expensive than other Korean restaurants but their quality and quantity are much better. Definitely worth it. SERVICE: Their service was very good and welcoming. They were attentive to our grill and made sure to change it when it was getting too old.

Yelp
Last night my sister insisted that I give Sam Cha a try. We got there around 8pm and the restaurant was full with a line on the stairwell. The smell of BBQ and other delicious Korean food made it very hard to line up without drooling. My sister and I were 3rd in line so we were seated around 835pm. The interior of the restaurant is nothing special but clean. The food and the service is what earned the 5 stars. The staff members were all super friendly and worked as fast as they could. The food we ordered was superbly delicious and very affordable. I ordered Gamjatang which comes with a vegetarian Bibimbap. My sister ordered her usual Bulgogi Sundubu which also came with a vegetarian Bibimbap. The portion of the food was very generous and presented beautifully. I would highly recommend this restaurant for those who likes Korean food!
google avatar

Mai Lynn L.

Yelp
That place is so good to the point that I came back 3 times in a period of 2 weeks and ordered the same item every single time I went. My ultimate favourite meal there is probably the seafood sondubu. It comes with a vege bibimbap and the portion is very generous and very affordable! (15$ for these two). You can always change the bibimbap for a bowl of rice, which is what I did last time. The food stays hot for a long time so you don't have to worry that it will cool down. Also, the staff are very nice and the decor is very cozy and the waiting period isn't really that long. (I went around 8pm each time).

Yelp
best korean food i've ever tried. everything is super tasty!! the servers are all very nice and welcoming which is always rlly nice. i like the restaurant's setting too. it's kinda dimly light but not too dim. it would be a nice place to take ur date to hehe

Servers are really friendly and it's also good to visit as group. Foods are spicy and tasty

Yelp
I went to this place with friends today. Udon here is typically nice. Like it. However, the cleanliness in washroom needs to be improved. The male washroom has a very bad smell, and it's poorly lighted. 5 for the food 1 for the cleanliness

Yelp
A really solid place when you get down to the nitty gritty. I had a taste of the rolled omelette, and tteokbokki with cheese, which were flavorful and a good foil for each other; the omelette had a slightly sweet sauce and the rice cakes had a great heat. My seafood soondoobu and bibimbap were delicious, even the leftovers were good the next day! A lot of various seafood were found in that delicious broth. I also had a peach Makgulli which reminded me of my first time trying to drink. Really sweet and not a lot of alcohol, which went well with the spicy food. A couple of downsides, a single bathroom for the whole restaurant, and a smokey and hot interior. Service was ok, it was like a rotating cast of waiters and waitresses after a certain point. They had a really sweet waiter whose name I never got, but braces guy - you did a great job with our demanding and bossy bunch. I'm sure I'll be back at some point to try the raw beef and their ramyun.

Yelp
WORST KOREAN BBQ IN TOWN, DO NOT RECOMMAND Heard about this restaurant from many friends. They all said the food there was tasty, and the service was great. One day, I decided to satisfy my craving for meat there and ordered the ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BARBECUE, and could without hesitation tell you it's the WORST ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BARBECUE IN TOWN... I didn't particularly hate the service or anything, but this is what happened.... Craving for meat? fine. It's 25 bucks (tax and tips not included yet) for 4 types of meat, bunch of mushrooms and onions, what they call ''side dish'' (basically just kimchi and radish)... meehh, a bit lacking for the price I'm paying, but since I'm already there, starved for hours and was craving for meat, FINE. Started cooking and eating the meat and since it was KOREAN RESTAURANT and nothing like Seoul Chako ( or any type of korean bbq I used to call ''fake kbbq'' runned by chinese ppl, which meat's flavor might not taste as authentic as real kbbq they offer in REAL KOREAN RESTAURANTS, but still tastes DECENT and you still enjoy it... ), thought it wouldn't be that bad... but the second I put a piece of bulgogi in my mouth, I started realizing how TASTELESS it was ( like they didn't even bother put salt, or soy sauce in it), and the galbi was EDIBLE, but nothing compared to authentic korean restaurants... not even to mention that it tastes WORST THAN THOSE ''FAKE CHINESE KOREAN BARBECUE''. But since it was already half of the meal, I decided to quietly sit there, cook my meat and at least satisfy my craving for meat that day ( though my belly wasn't quite satisfied... ). FINE. I kept eating and ordering until a certain point where my belly said stop, but not because it was full... Cuz my mouth was getting sooo sick of that flavorless meat and started having a bad breath since I had nothing else to eat than onions besides meat and mushroom and kimchi ( and as you can see, the menu is so disapointingly LITTLE that I could name out ALL what they've got in a SENTENCE HERE). As I felt like I sufficiently stuffed my belly with crap, I decided to leave ( and i wasn't full, NOT EVEN HALF) and I got SOOO sick of the meat before I was able to eat until you get stomach cramps and you're not able to walk anymore ( like anyone should after a korean bbq). I left, disapointed. At this point of the review, anyone would think a meal can't possibly be more deceiving, but let me tell you that YES, there IS such thing! Since I ate a quantity of meat, mushrooms and onions that wasn't worth a fourth of the money I payed for it, I didn't suffer from a stomachache from eating too much, but did suffered from endless stomachache, and in consequence of which, sleeplessness the whole night following my meal ( and bad breath too). As a result of that horrible experience, I woke up angry and feel the ABSOLUTE NEED TO WRITE REVIEWS ( in a length of an essay if needed ) TO BADMOUTH THIS RESTAURANT... Conclusion, never ever EVER go to this restaurant for all-you-can-eat-korean-barbecue.
