An absolutely outstanding meal—easily one of the most authentic and flavourful Iraqi dining experiences I’ve had.
The lentil soup was warm, comforting, and perfectly spiced with a subtle hint of cumin and lemon—simple, yet soul-soothing. The cold appetiser platter was a feast for the senses: the hummous was creamy and rich, the moutabal had that perfect tang, the fattoush was crisp and refreshing.
But the highlight was the roasted lamb; succulent, tender, and deeply infused with the bold, aromatic spices that define Iraqi cuisine. I could taste the earthy warmth of baharat, and that touch of dried lime that adds a signature brightness. Paired with fragrant rice, toasted nuts, sweet raisins, and a savoury stew on the side—it was a perfect harmony of textures and flavours.
Everything felt carefully prepared and deeply rooted in tradition. I left full, happy, and already planning to come back.
