I genuinely don’t understand how this place has so many 5-star reviews , it feels completely fake. My experience at Samad Cafe was one of the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant. To start, the prices are outrageous for what you get. The building is old and falling apart. The kitchen is filthy , the floors are black with grease and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. Just walking in, I was shocked at how run-down everything looked. The parking lot is a mess, with cars scattered around like a junkyard right at the entrance. Inside, things only got worse. There was an old dusty freezer in plain sight, and rusty, broken-down items used as “decorations.” The dining area was cluttered and chaotic and shockingly, there was a bed full of clothes and personal items in one corner, as if someone lives there. The plates they use are old, scratched-up plastic , the kind that looks like it came from a dollar store a decade ago. The food itself? Completely undercooked, tasteless, and clearly not handled with care. I couldn’t even eat it. To make matters worse, I saw roaches crawling around and even a rat near the back of the room. It was absolutely disgusting. This place is unsanitary, unsafe, and should not be operating. I left immediately and honestly felt sick just from being there. Save yourself the experience, avoid Samad Cafe at all costs.

I first discovered Samad Cafe through TikTok and a feature on WFAA News—and let me just say, this little gem absolutely lives up to the hype! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The food? Incredible. I don’t even have the words to describe how good it was—it’s the kind of meal you think about long after you’ve finished. Every bite was bursting with flavor, clearly made with care and authenticity. The service was just as impressive. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can feel that they take pride in what they do, and it makes the whole experience even better. If you’re thinking about trying Samad Cafe—do it. You’ll be so glad you did.

Samad is a hidden treasure. HND owners were so attentive and kind. Excellent food! I ordered the Thursday special which was a stew with the softest shredded beef, eggplant, squash, split peas; quite delicious, and we got the kebab combo which was beef and chicken kebabs with tomatoes and rice. So good!

The special was amazing so many tasty vegetables and great sauce! The love in in this kitchen and it’s a must for home grown food. Soo delicious :) Can’t wait to return.

I live in Orlando. The day I saw Samad on TikTok, I decided to stop by here on my first trip to Dallas. Today I made it! As I was expecting, the food was great and Samad and his family were awesome.

Guys, Samad is, and I cannot stress this enough, an absolute treasure. He was so sweet and kind. The only way to best describe this food is simply that it is made with love. I ordered the Thursday daily special. It was like a soup with the softest shredded beef, the most delicious eggplant, split peas, it was delicious, and then I shared the kabob special with a friend. We were both so blown away. All I can say is just trust this man, he knows what he is doing. Got a $5 bag of dates to go and they are the sweetest most yummy snack.

What a heart warming welcome! Literally hurt my heart how sincerely we were served! We need more places like this to go, then we won't be dependent on SSRI medications. They even customized our Ghormeh Sabzi stew because my daughter is vegetarian but loves this stew! If you miss your uncle or Aunt house gathering, this can be a good replacement!

Went here to check what the fuss is all about coz it has 5 stars on Google review. This is a local Persian and Mediterranean restaurant located just a few minutes from Dallas Love Field. The Persian food was really good and prepared personally by Samad himself, a Persian native in a little shack that brings about a homegrown experience. His wife helps her serve and in the kitchen and so does his son. Samad came to our table and talked to us how he started and how every dish is prepared; how he picks quality ingredients for his dishes. They only have lunch served because he said serving dinner will be overwhelming for him, his wife and son. Food is authentic Persian. We ordered the beef koobideh, chicken kabob and the well seasoned leg quarter that falls off the bone. I can see why this is getting the attention ---because of the owner's personal connection with the customers

Came here over the weekend and had their lamb shank and ghorma sabzi, both were incredibly delicious. The soup touched my soul and the lamb shank was perfect for a sunny spring day. The rice was also very well seasoned I really like rice that isn't plain. We enjoyed the cozy feel and the kind hearted helpful staff. The meat is locally/more ethically sourced and you can taste the quality in their food. They do take card btw!

Tik Tok made me do it! Since seeing the viral video, I've been wanting to try this place. We came on a Saturday around lunch time. The restaurant is tiny and parking is the lot next door. Keep an eye out so you don't miss it. When we walked in, we sat ourselves. It's a small restaurant. The server came and explained to us their menu. He was so friendly and answered any questions we had. They don't have a huge menu, but a good enough variety to pick from. Wife got the sowed cooked spinach and lamb. I can't remember the name I got the lamb shank (Tik Tok special) Both dishes came with rice. They also include some bread (similar to tortilla), onion, and lime to complement the dish. Everything was so good! Meat were tender. My favorite rice was the one with raisin, it provided a sweet taste to complement the savory rice. Definitely go try this little gem out. Do not skip it!

I was one of the very first to post a review for Samad Café back in 2013, not long after moving my business to the same street. Since then, I've had the pleasure of enjoying many meals there and yes, the food is divinely delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is Samad himself. He's not just a great chef, he's an incredible human being with a heart of gold. I'll never forget the day he offered to cover our meal because he heard that the person I was with couldn't pay. Of course, I paid but that act of kindness stuck with me all these years. Seeing Samad and his café finally get the recognition they deserve (via SamsPOV viral video) fills my heart with joy. It couldn't happen to a more generous, genuine soul. Much love and respect from your neighbors down the street.

I haven't had lamb since my last trip to Afghanistan. It definitely reminded me of that time. The service was very attentive and great, and the food tasteful. The restaurant itself felt like my aunts old restaurant, homey and welcoming. 10/10 will always come back.
