I had such a great time at this restaurant! The Plov Samarkand was an absolute showstopper, boasting an incredible depth of flavor that had me savoring every single bite. I also thoroughly enjoyed the King Burger, made with a super tasty blend of ground beef and lamb—it was so good, I got one to eat there and another to take home! The entire dining experience felt incredibly warm and welcoming, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their bold and delicious offerings. This place truly has something for everyone, with a menu that spans various cuisines. I particularly recommend trying their exquisite dishes and exploring their wide array of teas. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Even though I'm not Uzbek or Tajik, I absolutely adore their food; it's so delicious! The dishes are flavorful, tender, grilled to perfection, and best of all, halal

Samarkand Steak House is an absolute gem in the Feasterville area. If you’re into bold, grilled flavors and Central Asian cuisine, this place is a must. The vibe is fun and lively, and even when the place was packed, the service was impeccable — there’s even a button on the table you can press for immediate service (and yes, it works!). Now, let’s talk food: I’m a huge borscht fan, and the version here was out of this world. I added a little sour cream, and it was honestly worth stopping in just for that bowl. If you’re a borscht lover, do yourself a favor and try it. We also had an assortment of shish kebabs — chicken, steak, lamb, and shrimp — and every one was perfectly grilled and flavorful. The boiled pierogies were delicate, soft, and full of flavor too. Everything we had was delicious, and it’s clear the kitchen really cares about quality and detail. Can’t wait to go back.

The steaks and kabab board for $300 was so worth it. Everything was super juicy, fresh and well cooked. The presentation just blew our mind. The ambience is very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Beautiful ambience. High chair available for kids.

Google
Always delicious food. I recommend the Tandoori Samsa, Plov, and Manti! The Avocado Salad is always fresh and tasty. However, the service could be improved — it’s usually slow and makes us wonder if the server is also the one cooking. Desserts are just meh.

**Mixed Experience – Great Flavors, But Overpriced with Some Issues. I ordered the kabob platter, and while the kabobs themselves were tasty, they were extremely oily and had large chunks of animal fat** between the meat. The lamb chops were the highlight—perfectly cooked and delicious. However, the chips underneath the kabobs were also drenched in oil, making them unappetizing. For a $150 platter, I expected more. The portion of grilled veggies was small, and there were no fresh salads, lemon slices, or pickles to balance the heaviness of the meal. That said, the bread was outstanding — truly out of this world! One major downside was the 20% service fee added to the bill. I wasn’t sure what it covered (perhaps a tip?), but since I couldn’t find my server to ask, I left an additional $5 tip anyway. Better transparency about this charge would be appreciated. Final thoughts: Good flavors, but the excessive oil, lack of fresh sides, and unclear pricing make it hard to justify the high cost.

Google
Really nice restaurant with a mix of Uzbek, Asian, and European food. We came on a Sunday night and tried a few salads, Manti, and Shurpa soup. The Manti were a bit disappointing, but everything else was super tasty. The vibe was cozy, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely planning to come back!

I had such a great time dining here! The shish kabob stole the show—bursting with incredible, top-notch flavor that had me savoring every bite. The lamb ribs and ground beef were super tasty too, though a touch greasy for my liking (just my quirk!). Still, the whole experience felt warm and welcoming, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for more of those bold, delicious dishes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had some delicious Uzbek bread. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. I also had some lamb/beef and chicken shish kabob with saffron rice - I like that the kabob come with onions but wish there was some more salad. The kabobs tasted really good. I also had Ayran on the side which I loved. Will definitely be back with more friends:)

Yelp
I am absolutely appalled. We have been customers for over 7yrs. I have always recommended this place to none Russian speakers. Last week I ordered my fav fish. Branzino. I received a rotten fish. Not sure how long it was laying around at the restaurant, but long enough that even grilled it smelled terrible. We couldnt get rid of the stench for hours! I called the restaurant to warn them to check on the rest of their supply. The girl who I spoke to had no remorse and did not offer a refund or anything to make things right. I will never order catering here again. I am afraid to even imagine what happens to the meat.

Yelp
Once again I had an amazing dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and the service was perfection. All in all an epic evening.

Yelp
We visited Samarkand Steak House, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! I ordered the mushroom cream burger and the beef hip steak, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. The service was also excellent, with friendly and attentive staff making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, it's halal, which was a huge plus for me. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back! Atmosphere makes you feel Asian hospitality

Yelp
This restaurant is top notch! Service and food is exquisite. They also have a prayer room so during Ramadan they informed us of the prayer room and allowed us to make salat before we broke fast. Lastly, Richard is the manager and is so attentive and welcoming. You will not be dissatisfied. Loved the hospitality.

Yelp
It was totally worth the 20-mile off-road trip to get there. No regrets whatsoever! It is incredible Uzbek cuisine that I have to tell you about! It's hands-down the best I have ever had, and believe me, I've tried a lot. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere lively, and the restaurant was very clean. Every dish was top-notch. I started with a refreshing avocado salad, followed by mouthwatering veal liver kabobs, pilaf, and a delectable sour cream cake for dessert. To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious green tea and traditional mineral water. Our server, Jamal, was fantastic and highly recommended.

Yelp
Always great service. Called ahead to see if I could get in since it's Easter weekend. It was chilly out and I felt I needed borscht soup. They accommodated. I feel so healthy . I'm so happy.

Yelp
Friendly staff, spacious and well decorated interior, tasty food! We got both samsas, lamb and beef shish kebab, and the plov samarkand. Everything was great. I will return again in the future!

Yelp
Love this place! Excellent salads, soup, kebobs. Best service all around. Music on Saturday. BYOB.

Yelp
The space is completely renovated and even better than before, usually at the weekend there is music and fun is guaranteed! My family and I love the food and the customer service is outstanding. For those who love good food, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
What a great experience having dinner here was to help celebrate my cousin's birthday. None of us have ever been here - they were a suggestion on Yelp, and we are happy we listened. Our appetizers (wings and fried potato Pierogies) were delicious. We would like the wings to be a little spicier but that's a personal preference. Flavorful nonetheless! I chose the national dish - the meats were tender and the rice very flavorful. My sister, niece and cousin all enjoyed their meals, as well (chicken Kiev, kabobs, and beef with mushrooms/three cheeses). It was fun trying new dishes - very unique menu, something for everyone! The owner took the time to introduce himself and even chatted a little. Our waitress was very nice and attentive even while busy. We ended with dessert. The added Happy Bday on my cousin's dish was so cute and thoughtful - and the added singing, too! My Nutella crepes were awesome, as well. I definitely plan on going back when I am home in Philly, maybe with my husband next time. Check them out!

Yelp
There were plenty of parking at this establishment, and that is always a plus! I came on a weekday, so it was not super busy. We were seated promptly. The restaurant was dimly lit which created an intimate setting. It would be a good place for a date. The server came by, but we were not ready yet to order. He was understanding and let us take our time. We ordered some appetizers (manti and samsa). They came pretty fast. It was hot and fresh. The pricing was a bit on the higher side though for just one piece of it... They have a specials menu which a special for each day of the weekday. I would come back again to try their specials and other food.

Yelp
It's not often I go to a restaurant and 1) have a difficult time deciding what to order because everything looks amazing and 2) finally deciding and being impressed by everything ordered and 3) wanting to return here ASAP. First of all, this spot has AWESOME interior & exterior design. My bae, his friend, and I went here for dinner and it was BUSY. Multiple tables of chattering people ordering catering sizes of multiple foods. Which btw is already a good sign of a bombass restaurant. Our table shared fried pelmeni, wok fried mushrooms, and bread. I got a manti to try (it was perfect, with lots of dill garnish) and two skewers (lamb fat & ribeye roulette) which was garnished with a heavy dose of sautéed onions. Even got a dessert to-go and barely remembered to take a pic.

Yelp
The food here was great. My wife and I shared the hummus. It came with pita bread which had a slight amount of charring on it. The char really gave it a unique and delicious flavor. The roasted cheese was the same. Something about roasting it adding a little charring on the edges made it decidedly more tasty. I got an ethnic rice dish with lamb, rice and vegetables. It was very good. The service was excellent. The tables have a call button that the wait staff responds to promptly. I was impressed. I've never seen that before. The host was attentive and offered us commentary tea at the end of our meal. The place was clean and tidy. I was so impressed that I can't wait to go back. And I want to bring family and friends to try it out too. I will come back to eat here and I highly recommend it to others. Also, the portions were good. We took food home with us. If you like to eat good food like me, portions are important as well as taste. Loved this place.

Yelp
I order a Gyro but apparently its a Gyro Burrito :/ It really was not a very tasty Gyro. Too much liquid inside so when youre eating everything is just splashing everywhere. No taste. And the bread/wrap just really does not sit well with how a gyro is supposed to taste. Im sure their other items are good but they fail with gyro.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was all very tasty and served well plated. The menu was large- and offered plenty of choices! Service was good, especially given that it was Father's Day when we were thee! Definitely recommend that you save room for dessert- the crepes are incredible! The restaurant was decorated appropriately- in Uzbekistan style. While there was a quiet atmosphere, you could see that all were enjoying their f

Yelp
Clearly, hands-down, all-around absolute awesome experience from finding parking, to the greeting when we walked in, to being seated right away, to the amazing menu options, to the fabulous plating presentations, to the oh my God great flavors. Why hadn't we found this place sooner? Better later than never. Now I will be back as regulars. On this gray cold, damp night, we arrived around 5:30 PM as the restaurant was well underway with activity, we were shown to our table, presented with menus, and give it a chance to ask some questions. We started off with an appetizer of Oven Samsa, similar, but different to traditional Indian samosas. Flaky crust and steamy mix of tasty ground beef and lamb that delivered and lovely flavor. For our next dish, we shared an order of the Manti with meat, similar to a Turkish Mantee, but instead of being smaller, gnocchi, size pieces these were two larger servings, and quite frankly, it was a beautiful presentation, and the flavor was off the charts. It was so delicious.. For our main dish, my wife had a lamb Gyro with zucchini instead of rice or potatoes, and she absolutely loved her dish. Meat was tender and the zucchini slices were nice chunks that were grilled. I had the signature Plov Samarkand dish, the Uzbek National entree. A succulent blend of slow, roasted lamb and beef serve the top, savory, steamed carrots, chickpeas raisins, with fresh herbs, mixed in a short grain rice. This dish was heavenly. It was so tender. Love the fact that you can contact your server with a button alongside the table that was brilliant . All in all again this was a home run and we will be back for sure. Please see my photos attached.

Yelp
I went there for two days back to back and it was impressive both times. I fell in love with their double cheeseburger. I would say that it is how a double cheeseburger shall be made. Their kebabs never disappoint and the beef hip steak was both huge and awesome. My only recommendation would be to bring a big appetite.

Yelp
Came for my sister's birthday and it was really great. There is a ton of parking since it's next to a supermarket. The Cheburek and samsas was really good. All the meats were great. The rib lambs were my favorite next to the chicken. I would not suggest getting the lamb chops if you are getting the Samarkand style entree. The food was a little too oily , but I think that's where all the flavor is from. The service was great. I didn't realize there was a button to call the waitress over. Also if you check in with Yelp, you can get $5 off. Amazing. The place is definitely a sit down restaurant and it's great for any type of occasion. We were even offered a piece of cake for my sister's birthday. We had a layered cake that was very rich and milky. Overall, a great experience.

Samuel W.

Yelp
Hands down best food in the area. I highly recommend the samsas with lamb, beef tongue with mushroom sauce and saffron rice, and the beef roulette skewers.
google avatar

Harun K.

Yelp
Epic location. It remains my go-to in Philadelphia and there is nowhere quite like it this side of New York. I like to chow in peace when I'm eating out and this is precisely the place for it. The food is extremely tasty, the portions are generous and the recipes make few concessions to contemporary American palates. Immigrants eat here, which is a tremendous recommendation in my eyes. I highly recommend the plov and the roulette kebab, but pretty much everything is delicious. Don't forget to order lepeshka(s) for the table. This place is also a few different venues. Upstairs is more like a family restaurant, while you can enjoy live music or a private event. All BYOB. No one will judge you for turning up with a jug of whisky. In fact, hard liquor is what most tables prefer. Just make sure you have a way to get home safely.

Yelp
It's amazing what can I say just go and eat there. Best restaurant ever. The service is amazing, staff are nice, and the ambiance is great too. Thank you

Yelp
The food was absolutely wonderful! My boyfriend and I took a chance on this place. We originally went to another restaurant, but didn't want to wait. We randomly stumbled upon this place and WOW. The food was perfectly seasoned and sizzling hot. The prices they charge for the quality and amount of food is amazing. It is BYOB! So bring a bottle. Great place for a date night or girls night out. Do yourself a favor and request a full booth.

Yelp
My parents took me here yesterday to celebrate my 27th birthday on September 5. The food was fantastic and the place was very clean. However, my family and I were completely disappointed and dissatisfied with the poor service. We arrived early to an empty restaurant. We were immediately seated, yet the server didn't accommodate our table with any water nor did she even bother to ask. She took over thirty mins to take our order, yet she wasn't busy serving any other table for that matter. When she finally came back to take our orders, the kitchen took approximately OVER an hour to deliver our meals. What was disappointing was that other tables that were seated AFTER us were not being ignored and were being accommodated asap. We nearly called it quits and left because the wait was too long. When our meals were finally prepared, only my parents had their meals while my brother and I watched them eat since our dinner was nowhere in sight. What kind of poorly runned business is this? While the food was great, it's not worth coming here and paying an expensive bill to be treated with such poor service. Save your money and precious time and go somewhere else!! Keep this up and your business will have a tough time getting any customers in these hard times!! P.S. thanks for ruining my birthday!

Al T.

Yelp
The restaurant is situated in a small strip mall near "Bell's market" on Bustleton Pike. Very nice atmosphere, attentive service. Good choice of tasty foods.

Yelp
Our first time there, the food was delicious the service impeccable. We will certainly be going back again and bringing friends.

Yelp
Slightly pricey, but the food is just so unique. We drive out of our way for their Kutabeh bread. The skewer special on Fridays(?) is my favourite deal. Buy 3, get the 4th one free.

Yelp
Excellent food and a good lunch menu (which you have to ask for). Lots of unique ethnic items to choose from. Everything was delicious. Oddest ice tea we ever had. I swear it was water with brown food coloring ($5). Other than that-I would return--everything was delicious.

Michael R.

Yelp
They didn't bring me my food even after I called and confirmed my order. No diner tonight!

Yelp
First time visiting with a group, and was quite impressed. Don't know much about Uzbek cuisine, but they have an extensive menu; I tried the beef stroganoff, which was delicious. They have very nice seating, some parking in front, and very friendly service. We were a big group and they were kind enough to do individual checks, which I really appreciated. Also, confirmed that they serve halal meat.

Mark Z.

Yelp
My family had a fantastic meal here on Sunday. We started with a table full of appetizers: meat stuffed grape leaves, pumpkin filled pastries, meat dumplings etc... A wonderful way to start our meal and get exposure to Uzbekistan cooking. Our entrees were all delicious; from the Palov Samarkand to the slow cooked beef and lamb to the beef stroganoff, each plate was presented in wooden bowls or plates and was thoroughly enjoyed. The manager/historian was kind enough to entertain our questions about Uzbekistan, its history and culture as well as the people preparing our meals. A very special thank you to everyone who had a hand in preparing our food. I could feel your pride and love come through. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you.

Luba G.

Yelp
My favorite food I order out at least oce a week and always incorporate in int my parties

Frank W.

Yelp
the restaurant and food is great but I think they need to reconsider who they hire as a manager to manage the place and deal with customer relations. I placed my order and specifically ordered 4 pieces of Lamb chops but they made 4 orders, resulting in 16 pieces total. There was only a party of two of us. But they didnt care. they made a mistake when taking my order and he did not want to resolve the issue Or admit to the staffs mistake. Instead, he was being rude and careless to the situation. Said I Can go and do whatever I want , "call cops or contact the business buraeu. when I told him if they record phones calls so they can replay the convo between me and the female who took the order he said they won't replay anything and insisted again to go and contact Will never return or order from this place again. Beware !!

Yelp
One of few proper sit down halal spots in the area. The restaurant is huge. They have an upstairs and a basement area. Everything decorated real nice. The reason why I am giving this place a 4 star is because the service is slow, and the food is a bit oily for my liking. But that being said they have some decent options. I've tried both the chicken and beef wraps. The beef one is decent however the chicken wrap is way better. We've also grabbed the steak from here. My comment earlier about it being too oily was in reference to the steak. It was just too greasy, and for the price point I would recommend passing on it. Otherwise they have quality hummus and the bread they give in the beginning is really nice. The waiters every time I've gone have been really slow to take our order. I recommended not being shy and just wave at them to grab their attention when you're ready to order. They've all been super friendly. All and all good spot to check out especially if you're looking for a date night or family dinner spot with halal options.

Yelp
Came here because we were nearby and looking for Mediterranian food, turns out this was Russian - but that was a good detour. This pleasant surprise came as soon as we stepped through the door with their cool Uzbek decor and a private room right in the middle of the dining room. Then suddenly the fresh kebab smells hit you and your mouth starts salivating. We came in not knowing what to order so decided to do a few appetizers from the Pelmeni (meat dumplings), the Samas (crispy meat pie), a kebab and a Greek burger. My husband and son loved the burger. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken kebab sadly. My favorite were the appetizers, honestly I would go back just to eat my weight in Pelminis and Samas. The service was friendly and attentive. I would absolutely return because there are other plates on the menu we were dying to try.

Yelp
The food was incredible- the kabobs were so good - we got the roulette ribeye, lamb, chicken and beef - it was so tender and flavorful. The chicken kiev was moist and well seasoned - especially the zucchini. Also Richard, the manager, was super nice and checked in with us multiple times during the meal.

Yelp
Again went to this place. Their food is so flavorful and the meat is so nicely made. If you are a meat lover, this is the place to be! I will come back here again anyday! Their staff are pleasant and service is fast and excellent. Ambiance is beautiful!

Yelp
Came in for a weeknight dinner with a friend. To start off, the restaurant was set up very safely for indoor dining. Our table was in a little nook under a cute arch on the side of the main dining area. We were spaced pretty far apart from other customers, and the staff were all wearing masks whether serving customers or not. Our server sat us promptly and gave us the menu which offered an extensive number of neat breads, appetizers, traditional Uzbek entrees, kebabs, steaks, and more. As we browsed the menu to order, he brought out some very fresh tasting lemon-infused water. Although this may not seem important, many restaurants serve tap water that has a strange taste, and this water was certainly very fresh and tasted great. We ordered a bread appetizer called Lepeshka, a traditional fluffy Uzbek bread. It was nothing extraordinary, but it had a nice fluffy texture. We could tell it was fresh, and it would made a perfect small bite before our meal. I ordered a dish called Khonum, a thin dough filled with a beef/lamb mixture and potatoes. I also ordered a side of Sweet Potato fries. The Khonum was spiced very well, and the flavor was great. It's a good serving, but does pair well with a side since it isn't huge. The Sweet Potato fries were extremely well-made, and they were much crispier than the majority of burger shops/fast food restaurants I order from. The crispness and salt content were perfect, and this is actually very hard to come by at most places. Upon leaving, the manager was extremely friendly and took the coupon that Yelp gave us for checking in. He also brought out some free tiramisu for my friend and I. Overall, the service, quality, portions, and Covid safety measures are great. The extensive menu makes me definitely want to come back and try more of their menu items again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some good ethnic cuisine!

Yelp
We never got a chance to eat here before but noticed that they remodeled so we took a chance. Best filet I've had, even non-halal. Also good side dishes. The Shirin dessert was basically ice cream with a lovely syrup, taste good but I wish I got something more complicated to make lol. The redesign inside is beautiful and very much done for a steakhouse. We saw a private room and they were obviously celebrating a birthday so good for small-ish events too.

Yelp
Our first time here 11/26/23 and I can say they have a very fresh meat, the taste is very delicious we tried a few dishes and the dessert was incredible, tasty, delicious chocolate lava cake. Amazing restaurants and a very fancy love it

Yelp
Dear owner of this place, Honestly, if there is more than five stars I would have loved to choose It. The staff are so friendly, professional, nice and so accommodating. I don't know where to start! From calling for reservation to walking out every thing was exceeding the expectations the place and the people was amazing. I called twice for reservation,I had to update them that it was my sister's birthday, then I called the third time to apologize that we were running a little bit behind, and they kept our table for us!! We get there and beautiful Friendly smile are awaiting us and they helped us tuck the stroller aside, ( have been into places where I had to leave the stroller right next to our table and get the glair looks of the people who are pas by it or people jamming their feet and get tangled with it) they gave us a nice booth and checked if we liked it or if we wanted to change it And that was so considerat. The atmosphere was so nice, family friendly, everyone was happy and the place is super clean. The staff who worked with us, was so nice and so professional! With his guidance and excellent recommendations, we were able to experience the most delicious dishes that is offered. The menu had so many options even healthy and Organic! We loved that some Kids were playing around and they stopped and said hi to my baby, I think they were looking to see if he can join them yet Finally, we had the desserts with a candle and a genuine wishes for a happy birthday and for success and happiness for my sister. Although our staff said he was new and he has been there for a week, yet his work was outstanding and professional and he was so polite. We also wish him success and all his goals to be achieved with god blessings. I do want him to know that he made our evening and the whole experience made an excellent Birthday dinner for us. Hoping you have Ramadan mubarak and we wish you all the best. Dear public readers, This place is a MUST to try, but if you are not family friendly you probably can ask to be seated away from the family friendly atmosphere. Also on our way out we saw a separate rooms for big parties and special occasions. Now Samarkand is on my wishlist to visit From the bottom of my heart thank you for this wonderful experience.

It was my first time visiting this wonderful Uzbekistan restaurant. It had lots of seating, parking spaces, clean toilets and nice friendly staff. I ordered the Plov which is the national dish. Let me tell you...this dish was amazing! Full of flavor and the beef/lamb just melted into your mouth. It was a nice portion too. I also had the samsa which was very much like a samosa but with different spices. I might add that i like the samsa better. I also tasted their beef and lamb skewers which was big in proportion. It was delicious but left a lamb taste in the mouth. I also ordered the halloumi cheese and tomato skewer. I found the cheese to be really salty and chewy. I've tried other halloumi cheese that wasn't as salty and chewy as this. Overall, my meal was pretty good and I will definitely go back. I've already recommended this place to my friends. But bear in mind that this restaurant had a higher price point. Next time, I'd try their breads, salad, soup and the red fruit punch.
