Sambalatte’s chic new spot at The Smith Center serves up delectable gourmet coffee, pastries, and high tea in a stylish atmosphere with outdoor seating.
"Sambalatte now has its fourth location in Las Vegas, serving theatergoers, local business employees, and museum patrons at its newest location at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Coffee, high-tea, and pastries all make the menu. Owner Luiz Oliveira, who is originally from Brazil, brings rare coffee beans and teas as well as specialty brews during the Smith Center’s Broadway Series beginning with a Hakuna Ma-Latte for The Lion King. Sambalatte also features its own cold brew, Samba Rock. High tea service starts in December. Also on the way, cheese and charcuterie platters, beer, wine, and Champagne. This location features colors that reflect coffee beans in their various stages of growing and roasting with hues ranging from white to green, red, ash, mocha, and rich brown. The walls incorporate reclaimed wood from a barn located on a farm where coffee was grown and housed. The lighting and chandeliers are created from repurposed vintage coffee baskets used to pick coffee. A five-foot by 12-foot mosaic tile world map by artist Jun Blanco highlights the coffee belt where coffee is sourced from around the world." - Susan Stapleton
"Sambalatte recently opened a new elegant and spacious venue at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown’s Symphony Park. The venue features a modern and sophisticated design by Novus Architecture, including a large curved marble counter and a wall covered with a tile, mosaic map representing the globe’s coffee resources. The location offers incredible outdoor seating, complimentary parking for 3 hours, and WiFi. It will also host afternoon high tea during the Center’s Broadway Series events and other high-profile performances, accompanied by live music." - Bradley Martin
