We celebrated my friend's 50th birthday here, and it was an incredible experience for our group. I had the blackened shrimp linguine, which was exceptional. I also enjoyed a fresh and delicious salad. Shrimp & crab dip was phenomenal🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! The service was outstanding! They graciously stored the cake in the freezer until it was time to serve it with no hassle! Music was great!

Google
Top notch food and entertainment. My party of 4 had a great time for dinner and some tunes. The rib eye was cooked perfect! The beignet balls were very tasty! You won't be disappointed!

Gee Rose

Google
Had a great late afternoon happy hour. The host was super accommodating and gave us happy hour pricing, even though we were about 10 minutes early. Server was fun and attentive. No complaints!

Google
A perfect restaurant before a night of honky tonks on Broadway. About a mile walk out a short ride share. The place has nightly music which when we went was a light jazz sound, very nice ambiance. We tried our own three course meal with some beignets and artichokes. Then steak for me and scallops for my wife. Finished it with sticky toffee breaded pudding and Jell-O shots. The waiter even doubled check the Jell-O shot order because we ordered non alcoholic drinks earlier. Food was top notch and not too expensive. The service was attentive even with a pretty full house for a Thursday night.

Google
Great atmosphere, friendly service, cool jazz band playing. Food was ok. We had the shrimp & crab dip it was good. I had the scallops they were good, not great. Jim had the pork chop it was good but had a thick strong sauce on top. It probably would have been better without the sauce. We had the bread pudding for dessert. It was ok. Nothing fabulous but wasn’t bad.

Google
Per my client’s suggestion we met here for lunch when I was in town @ conference. We both had the Cobb salad, I added the TN spicy fried chicken tenders (they were a perfect addition), and she added shrimp to hers and had some soup along side. The service was swift, and true to Nashville there was a small stage for live music (no one was performing). When I’m back in town I’d definitely visit Sambuca again.

Google
Sambuca is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere is so much fun. Live music, great seating for food and drinks, and great bands! The space is designed very well to allow you to enjoy the music and your party at the same time. The service is top notch. Our waiter was kind, professional, gave great suggestions and most importantly, he didn’t over-serve us. Many waiters check in too many times and take away from your experience. Our waiter struck a balance and knew what he was doing. Well done! Most importantly, the food. My meal from Sambuca was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. Appetizer, entree and dessert were all incredible. They were seasoned well, and the combination of flavors were unique, creative and bold! I will dine here every time I’m in Nashville. Bravo!

Google
Great atmosphere, wonderful experience. But man was the food a let down. Wife and I both had the ribeyes (real pricey) and both were overcooked and mad salty. Not just a tad salty, but abnormally salty. Would go back for the live music and drinks, but not sure for dinner. The calamari was great.

Yelp
Cannot beat the HH at this place! Drinks at the bar are amazing and can be very unique. The appetizers are tasty.

Yelp
Sambuca has one of the best happy hours in Nashville, hands down! They have happy hour every Monday through Friday from 4-7pm where all their appetizers and drinks are half off!! Upon arrival, make sure to let the hosts know that you're there to attend happy hour. They let us sit outside for the day! We went in and ordered anything our heart desired (and it was still such a good deal it didn't even hurt the bank account)! White Tea Spritz: Light and Refreshing, 10/10 Spicy Blueberry Margarita: A house special and had a great kick to it, 9/10 Calamari Fritti: Perfect fresh and fried calamari, what's not to love, 10/10 Chicken and Beef Satay: Pretty standard but a bit bland for my taste, 6/10 Tuna Poke: Loved the crunch the wonton strips provided with the taste poke, 10/10 Shrimp and Crab Dip: A perfect seafood queso, 10/10 Happy hour is definitely the best time to come by here. Make sure you don't miss it!

Yelp
Came here for Easter brunch and wow it was fantastic. This is our third year in a row coming to Sambuca. The quality of food is delicious and the workers are so kind. If you want anything special or different they're usually able to do it. I cannot recommend this place enough and they do brunch every weekend!

Yelp
This meal was so good that I cleaned the plate up. Also the service is not really that great. They ended up messing up our checks but finally managed to fix it and the food did forever to come out. Granted, it was probably busy or short staff so I am not too harsh on that. The ambiance is just too loud for me since there was music playing. Aside from the food I got, the steak that I tried was expensive and too salty.

Yelp
Stopped here my accident while waiting for a dinner reservation but wasn't disappointed. They had the best happy hour from 4-7 with half off all drinks! We couldn't believe how affordable it was. We didn't try any of the food but they had a pretty big menu that looked decent. They had a large bar and a large seating area. They also had live music playing which was good. The bar tender was super friendly as well. If I lived close I would go here for happy hour often! It is in the Gulch a little walk from Broadway but still super close!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for dinner, made it in time for happy hour which was half price drinks and apps. Very allergy friendly. Our waitress was so sweet and subbed the wonton crisps for cucumbers.
google avatar

Yelp
Didn't know at however the drinks and service are tops. Great live music and a comfortably dark setting. Intimate and not overbearing.

Yelp
Love a place with great food, live music, and great service! The music is loud, but not so loud you can't still have a conversation. The talent the night we went was amazing! It was a jazz/blues vibes, which was perfect for a dinner setting. We ordered garlic bread and the tuna poke to start - both plates were nearly licked clean. I got the shrimp fettuccini. My dinner companions got the scallops, chicken parmesan, and the blacken snapped étouffée. Everyone really enjoyed their meal, but the étouffée does need more spice (you can request a side of cayenne pepper to fix this). The mocktail list has a lot of options - which is nice to see! I opted to try a mocktail and was really impressed (it was the one with jalapeños). Overall, a wonderful food and entrainment experience only made better by out amazing server Arielle. If you can I would request her section. She's so knowledgable about the menu, checks in frequently but without being annoying, and is so friendly! Some of the best service I've had in a while! My only complaint was in the reservation we specified allergies and that we were celebrating a birthday, but I don't think those notes were shared with Arielle.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Nashville- brunch is only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with live much Sat and Sun. If you are not from Nashville, try the local fav of hot chicken and waffles. Other great ones are the turkey and Brie on a croissant and the burger, which has bacon and a fried egg. Service is always good and if the weather is nice the patio is beautiful!!

Thomas K.

Yelp
We went for the Mother's brunch. The food was very good and we were able to sit outside and still hear the great live music. The servers (two sisters) were wonderful. I will go back when I'm in town.

Yelp
So my family wanted some good food and music while visiting Nashville and we found this place. Well. The food was amazing. Every dish came out perfectly. The hickory smoked pork chop was moist, well seasoned, and the sauce to die for. The sea bass was flaky and soft, the scallops just melted. Best of all, our waiter Emerson was friendly and professional. Wait time was minimum. The ambiance was jazz club like. The musician Tiffany was an amazing singer. The prices are on the expensive side but well worth the quality...so check out this place. I don't always say this but I'll be back again.

Yelp
What an overall fantastic experience at Sambuca! We had a reservation and pre selected menu for our party of 14 (bachelorette party) and Sambuca undoubtedly delivered. We arrived at 8:30pm for our 8:30pm reservation and were seated immediately. The preset menus had a "Congratulations Bachelorette" on them which was a cute touch. Our server was attentive and friendly. He brought shots and drinks for the group and then took everyone's salad and main course order. I ordered the Caesar salad and chicken parm and both were delicious. My voracious appetize gobbled both up pretty quickly. The Caesar salad had fresh parm and the linguine bed that the chicken parm sat on was tasty. For dessert, we had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries - both of which closed out a lovely meal. The ambiance was swanky and classy. We sat where the live band was which was SO great. The artists were talented and made the restaurant lively. It was fun to people watch. I really enjoyed our experience at Sambuca and am happy that our large group of 14 felt similarly!

Yelp
Perfect date night...with good music and a live band! The service is good the food is a solid 8/10.... everyone raves about the shrimp and crab dip, i've definitely had much better and can't recommend it. I will recommend getting the salmon Oscar the portion was small but it was after the appetizer and drinks it was just enough. I would also suggest coming for happy hour.
google avatar

Yelp
Love loved this place! Wow the food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. Great music . Our service was top notch. Our server was on point with the recommendation. We can't wait to return

Yelp
First time trying Sambuca. High expectations. Ambiance was really nice, great band and our server was attentive and great conversation. Food was expensive and had to return due to temperature. There are better options are in the area.
google avatar

Pratiksha M.

Yelp
Very average food (at best). Not what you would expect for the prices. The interior seems dated, both seafood dishes (over $40) were overcooked and dry. I will say that our waitress was very friendly and the live music was great, but expect them to add a $15/person cover charge to your bill with no heads up.
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to give this 4 stars, but my experience was just so underwhelming. We sat at the bar as there wasn't much comfortable seating available despite our reservation. They treated us like we were a walk-in, which was surprising. The bartenders are super friendly and fun to hangout with, but I was disappointed by the quality of my drink. The Spicy Blueberry Margarita is insanely sweet and lacks any spice. I think they made it sweeter because I was the youngest and only woman in my group, but I want a drink that kicks back. Especially when it's $17! I ordered the filet which is $51. It was good, but so salty. I didn't leave here feeling very satisfied and couldn't stomach ordering dessert given the prices. I'm visiting from NYC, and our prices aren't even this steep for the quality. The filet comes with one odd potato chip on the side, even more salt. Music was good, but it was just a cover band. Nothing too special given the price. Forgive the terrible filet picture lol.
google avatar

Ali G.

Yelp
Average at best. We wanted live music and brunch so it seemed like a no-brainer. The hostess was less than excited to greet us (no big deal). But the service was slow, the food wasn't good (our eggs were SO overdone) and we couldn't hear the live music outside. I asked them if we could before we were seated and they said there were speakers. Unfortunate, as the musician sounded good (we heard him when we went to the bathroom). I was informed the coffee was good and we liked the location. But wouldn't return for a future visit.

Yelp
So... explain to me why y'all say on Yelp that you are open until 11 (59 mins from now) yet, my husband & I walk in to hear some live music & have an after dinner drink ( paid to park) & the bartender tells us " sorry we are closed in 3 minutes ." There was still a band on the stage! Hmmm... seems to me like u need bartenders that actually want to make some money in Music City or someone that can keep ur social media/ Yelp current! Peace out! Waste of my time while on business!!
google avatar

Caroline J.

Yelp
Food was average for a nicer restaurant. Music is a nice touch! Service was good but slow.
google avatar

Yelp
Saturday around 11am. Several of the establishments we went to had a 1-2 hour wait. Finally happened upon Sambuca. Seated right away. There were not many vegetarian options so I settled on the miso cauliflower. I was pleasantly surprised. It was so good I got on Pinterest to find a recipe so I can try to duplicate it. My friend really enjoyed the shrimp and crab bisque. Bloody Mary was top notch. Enjoyed the entertainment as well.
google avatar

Tena S.

Yelp
Odd smell in the restaurant like sewer all over. Service was snail slow but kind team. The food was good but I don't think I would come back especially for corporate dinner. It was really embarrassing

Yelp
For the appetizers we got the Calamari Fritti , Bruschetta , Shrimp & Crab Dip ! Could have came with more bread for the bruschetta but overall very tasty 3.5/5 for all the apps. The drinks were delicious! NOWWW the main meal my entree the steak was salty asked for a medium well but got a medium 2.4/5 . Our server TJ was great ! Had a problem with my check was charged $107 but my receipt was a different amount but he fixed it & refunded what was overcharged! TJ 5/5! Restaurant was dim/dark all i saw was cell phone flashes everywhere but live band was good! Overall 3/5 for me !
google avatar

Yelp
A very large contemporary jazz club with fantastic food and cocktails alike, and very good service. The reserved seating area near the stage is expansive, and not too difficult to get into midweek without a reservation. The only drawback is the space is not cozy, and the connection with the musicians is not intimate. In fact, on a Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m., the place was nearly empty, unlike two other Jazz venues we visited midweek. Certainly an option for jazz in Music City, but there are other smaller venues I prefer.

Yelp
First and foremost the staff was phenomenal! the best service from the greeter, the servers at our private event to the bar tenders. They were extremely kind and professional. The Food-OMG! The Filet Mignon was so tender you could cut it with a fork! The flavor profile was amazing. The presentation was beautiful and classy. The dessert trio was absolutely delicious! Thank you for a wonderful evening on a busy weekend! 10 Stars!!!
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Our server was Emerson. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. He had recommendations for not only food and drinks, but for Nashville in general. He was attentive & sweet!! Food was delicious. Drinks were good. Live jazz music was amazing. 10/10!
google avatar

Norbert L.

Yelp
My first time in Sambucas went to see Marion Meadows on Sept 19th. Started out with no hostess to explain how the seating was assigned. We ultimately had to wander around the place until someone asked us if we needed a seat. I was told that we would have to share a table, which I didn't have a problem with, I had explained earlier that I had recently had knee replacement and used a walker. I wss told vua text that wouldn't be a problem , it appeared that it was a problem. This level of unprofessionalizm completely set the wrong vibe for what was going to be a good evening of Smooth Jazz. Didn't even feel like trying the food to see if the reviews were correct. Staff attitude kid my appetite.
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
This place was awesome. I had a great experience. The food was second to none. The cocktails were top notch. My server Matty was on point and didn't mess one thing up. He was freaking perfect. And don't me started on my bartender. His name is Will Nichole's and his back is hurting from carrying these lazy ass servers. He is making the drinks. Serving the drinks and chatting with the guest. Give these two a raise. They are carrying twice the load of these other freeloaders.
google avatar

Lyna M.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite place for happy hour. They have the best deals. Pretty much everything is half off. The bartenders are super attentive and friendly. The drinks are awesome as well as the food. I love the intimate ambience here and that they have live bands too.

Maria J. H.

Yelp
Super chill- great food and live music! Eggs Benedict were great and service was quick.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Brought my beautiful wife here for her birthday dinner. One of my favorite Nashville restaurants. The live entertainment is superb as well!
google avatar

Brooklynn K.

Yelp
Waiter was excellent. We had Emerson and you could tell he loves his job and the food at Sambuca. We went on a Saturday evening and they had a jazz style band playing which was wonderful. The woman had a great voice and it felt very unique in Music City to have jazz over country & pop. Large space, lots of seating indoors and outdoors. The food didn't blow me away. It was good but I wouldn't say great. Maybe going for dinner was the wrong idea because I've heard endless good things about brunch. Ordered: tempura fries prosciutto cheese balls - good but missing something. Bruschetta - fresh & nice mix, had to get more bread because it wasn't served with enough originally (unless you pile the tomatoes high, maybe) Split the pork chops and Mac and cheese - honestly the mac and cheese might've been my favorite part of the whole meal. Salty, creamy, reminded me of a favorite kind from childhood. Ordered the white sangria - very sweet and peachy I think for the price, food needs to be elevated a little bit. Again, heard great things about brunch and maybe that's their speciality. I'll go back to try that but not rushing to try dinner again.
google avatar

Heather Rose M.

Yelp
First time at Sambuca was a great experience. Low-lit restaurant with live Jazz and Blues music. Cocktails were tasty but pricey, food likewise. We tried the shrimp and crab dip (a must), tuna poke, chicken parm, Chef's special (filet) and miso sea bass. Expensive dinner but great for special occasions, the live music made up for the pricing. Service was kind, friendly and timely!
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
It was okay. I didn't like the jazz music. Not my preference, less after finding out we paid $10 per person for entertainment. Food was good.
google avatar

Castiel C.

Yelp
Paying a ton of money for food that comes out cold and underwhelming really kinda sucks, the music was fun and love the vibe of the place. but pretty damn disappointed by the food. kinda average at best.
google avatar

Valeen W.

Yelp
Came here for a night of jazz, dancing, and a romantic dinner. One out of three happened here! Carl Stewart hit the stage and serenaded the audience. I added one star for him and his band alone. Now on to the food...I ordered the shrimp and crab bisque and it came to me ice cold I was so annoyed that this dish could ever leave the kitchen in the first place. While I was waiting for a new order I munched on Hubby's dish. He ordered the shrimp and linguine dish but unfortunately it was very oily and bland so I just stuck with sipping on a glass of Malbec. Once the new bowl of bisque arrived it was so thin and watery and there wasn't much shrimp or any crab to be found. I decided I wasn't going to order anything else here. The establishment is nice but very dark and no one was dancing. This place has so much potential to be great! All I can say is thanks to Carl for a great performance.
google avatar

Deborah L.

Yelp
Music here was amazing! I heard Ashley Campbell (Glen's daughter); she was very talented and a great show! The drinks were great. The menu was not extremely varied but I ordered the scallops with the risotto; they were delicious and filling. Other folks ordered the shrimp scampi, salmon Oscar, and the ribeye. Everybody's order came out well except for one. She is gluten-free and was very specific with the waitress that she needed specific things such as Caesar salad with no croutons. She is also sensitive to dairy so she asked for no butter on the steak. Both requests were ignored ; the manager came right over and made it right. He also deducted the cost of her steak dinner. The appetizers were amazing! I loved the BUCCA BEIGNETS, A deep fried buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto inside. We also had the grazing platter. It was plenty for the four of us! It's really nice, upscale restaurant suitable for a long evening listening to music and eating good food. Also suitable for a quick drink and some appetizers in the bar area or even on the front porch. Just a really fun place!
google avatar

Joee G.

Yelp
Came here with a large group for brunch and we were seated inside as it was about to rain. The indoor area is extremely large and has a small area where a band can play. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Friday brunch, and seems that most people come for dinner. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was great! The chicken was perfectly golden brown and crispy and was well seasoned. The waffle was huge and on the softer side, but paired well with the crispy chicken. And the waffle was topped with a little syrup and gravy. It all tasted great! I also ordered the strawberry basil lemonade, which was recommended by our waiter, and it was sweet and tangy..I definitely couldn't taste any alcohol!
google avatar

Jake G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. People great, food outstanding, and great music
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
I was woefully underwhelmed with the food unfortunately. I had the Turkey & apple croissant sandwich and it tasted extremely premade and not fresh. The waitress was lovely and the man performing was great but the food just didn't land for me.
google avatar

Lindsay G.

Yelp
Date night!! You would think the cocktails would be great at Sambuca - they were in-fact not great. My first two drinks tasted like dirty dish soap; both were flat and did not taste right. So, I went downstairs for a wonderful Cucumber Gimlet and Old Fashioned. The food was ok. I ordered the filet that was pretty great, but the green beans on the side were lacking. The pork chop with a side of mac and cheese was, "pretty f*ing good." The service upstairs was...not good. The ambiance was decent, though with live music and low lighting. The downstairs area seemed to have a cooler vibe, better service, and looked to offer an overall better experience. Will we be back? Probably not. Would I recommend this place? Sure. Ciao!
google avatar

Ernesto C.

Yelp
Wasn't very impressed with Sambuca. Service wasn't very good, the food was subpar and the prices were a bit high for the quality of food. The starter crab and shrimp dip was tasty but served with tortilla chips that looked and tasted like they were out of a bag. Our meal was the scallops, which were overcooked and served with polenta with very little flavor. I had the flat iron steak which was also over cooked, I ordered it medium rare. The sauce was over salted too. Drinks were ok and since we were sitting outside we didn't receive very good or timely service. Didnt get a chance to hear the live band so I can't comment on that. We won't be back.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Great food, excellent atmosphere, awesome service. I had a great time at Sambuca. The band was everything. I had fish and it was delicious. We had several appetizers and drinks. I loved the atmosphere was absolutely great. Loved everything about this place. Great date spot. I can't wait to try again.
google avatar

Krislyn P.

Yelp
Sambuca's staff was able to serve my party of fourteen with no problem- everyone loved their food and the service was timely and great. I definitely recommend this place for large group reservations. It is also one of the only places in Nashville to take reservations and do brunch on Friday rather than just Saturday and Sunday. The shrimp and crab dip is an absolute must try and the Nashville hot chicken and waffles were as good as they looked!
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Food: delicious, well seasoned, price adequate for quality Environment: relaxed, cozy. Jazz ambiance does not disappoint! Parking: available with a fee just walking distance from the restaurant I would definitely recommend this place for a celebration or dinner date.
google avatar

Ashleigh R.

Yelp
Great vibe, jazz music, great location, great service. All the things you look for. Would recommend for date night, special occasions.
google avatar

Kamron A.

Yelp
This is a killer place in the Gulch section of Nashville! Was recommended by my Lyft driver and this place will NOT disappoint! Like live music in an atmosphere that is both romantic but also lively? This place id for you! Love great food and drinks? This place is for you! Love great service? This place is for you! We had Mitch as our waiter and not only was he professional but he was knowledgeable and also very impressive with his service and attention even on a busy night! I got the red snapper etoufee and it was delicious! My work counter part got the ribeye and he said it was as good as any top end steakhouse ribeye! Prices are reasonable for the portions and quality and atmosphere! I'll definitely hit this place up again!
google avatar

Sydney W.

Yelp
Happy hour was nice. There was a large select of food and drinks to choose from. Everything was pretty good. Great location. Wish the tvs were a little larger at the bar. Would come back.
google avatar

Mark A W.

Yelp
This place had a live band that played great music. Our waiter was fantastic. Now let's get to the food. The crab and shrimp linguini was enjoyed by one, but thought it was a little small for dinner. The other who had the dish thought it had too much sauce. The vegetable lasagna was just ok. The chili rubbed scallops were delicious and probably were the star of the show. Now the desserts. The decadent chocolate torte came out cold and would have been much better if it was warm. The berry cobbler was tasty, but have definitely had better. The Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding was definitely a winner. I gave this restaurant three stars.
google avatar

Chad R.

Yelp
Great ambiance! Super friendly waiter Michael. Wonderful dining experience. Tasty dishes, got my fill of a savory and flavorful seafood dish with the blackened snapper followed up with a decadent cheesecake Sapodilla. The snapper was a fillet lost a star because for the price tag the customer should receive the whole snapper and it just a half. The live band was also amazing singing the blues. Overall great dinning experience
